Dennis Kucinich Calls ‘High BS Quotient’ on WaPo Story, Asks Who Leaked

by MICHELLE MOONS

Former Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich, a democrat, said on Fox News Tuesday morning that there is a “high BS quotient” on claims made by anonymous sources in the Washington Post story that claimed President Donald Trump provided classified information to Russian officials.
Kucinich told host Shannon Bream, “If this information was so sensitive, then why did intel leak it to the Washington Post? Whoever leaked it undermined the alliance.”
The Democrat former congressman continued:
…something is out of control here. there is an effort here to up end the relationship with russia. put us at odds. it started during the obama administration in october of 2016 when it was a peace agreement or an agreement to end the conflict with syria and all of a sudden it was up ended by people in the pentagon and c.i.a. so they were making policy over the president’s head. we have one president and he is being undermined by some people in intelligence.
Kucinich went on to say that he had read the Washington Post story very carefully and, based on his 16 years of experience in the U.S. Congress, “tracking all these things that are said about foreign policy,” that “there’s a high BS quotient going on right here.”
He added that the “meter should be going off all over town” and redirected attention to troubling leaks from the intelligence community. He said questions need to be asked about why and who within the intelligence community is leaking this information, “we don’t need to look to Russia for any affirmation here.” Kucinich went on:
Ya know we don’t need to look to Russia for any affirmation here. We need to ask questions about why is this intelligence community trying to upend the President of the United States with these leaks? Here’s the Washington Post story (holds up physical copy of the newspaper) I mean its, and all over town people are saying the President did this and that — look, I disagree with President Trump on a number of issues, but on this one, there can only be one President and somebody in the intelligence community is trying to upend this President in order to pursue a policy direction that puts us in conflict with Russia. The question is why? and who? and we need to find out.
Kucinich served as a representative from Ohio from 1997 to 2013.

Rupert Murdoch Calls Special Meeting as Fox News Ratings Falter

by DANIEL NUSSBAUM

Fox News executive chairman Rupert Murdoch will host a company-wide meeting Wednesday amid internal turmoil at the network and threats to its ratings dominance from MSNBC.
According to Deadline, Murdoch is set to host two meetings at the network’s new studio, Studio F, where he will discuss both the company’s plans for a new newsroom and its overall direction and future. The meetings will reportedly be held in two shifts to accommodate all staff.
The meetings come as the network has been rocked by a series of sexual harassment and racial discrimination lawsuits in recent months, culminating in last month’s departure of star anchor and one-time cable news ratings king Bill O’Reilly.
Following O’Reilly’s departure, the network’s primetime schedule underwent perhaps its most significant reshuffling  in years, with Tucker Carlson taking over O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. time slot and the panel show The Five moving to 9 p.m.
But the network faces an early test of its new lineup from MSNBC, which has benefitted greatly from star anchor Rachel Maddow and its lineup’s breathless coverage of the Trump administration.
Last week, MSNBC won the key demo (25-54) during weeknights for the first time in seven years, with The Rachel Maddow Show, The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell and The 11th Hour with Brian Williams all finishing first in their respective time slots, according to Adweek.
Fox News finished first in total viewership, with an average 2.6 million viewers, but MSNBC was right on its heels with 2.4 million. CNN lagged far behind with 1.3 million. It was the 19th straight week that Fox News led all competitors in total viewers.
But the network’s hold on total viewership could soon be in jeopardy as well. On Monday, MSNBC came within two thousand viewers of surpassing Fox News in that category, and Fox slipped to third in the news demo with 499,000 viewers to CNN’s 608,000 and MSNBC’s 662,000.
Murdoch’s Wednesday meetings are reportedly meant to “rally the troops” in the face of the challenges.
Meanwhile, the network’s former talent is moving on. On Monday, Bill O’Reilly announced he would be a guest on radio host and the Blaze founder Glenn Beck’s program on Fridays.
Update: Fox News was the most-watched cable network in total day viewership for the 19th consecutive week, according to Nielsen data.
“In primetime, FNC also ranked #1 in all of basic cable with P2+, including NBA playoff-focused TNT, with 2.3 million viewers,” the network noted in a Tuesday email to reporters.

Illegal Immigrant Gets 50 Years for Producing Child Pornography

560by JOHN BINDERmmmmmmmmm

An illegal immigrant living in the U.S. by evading deportation was sentenced to 50 years in federal prison after being convicted of producing child pornography.
Edwin Velasquez-Curuchiche, a 40-year-old illegal immigrant from Guatemala, pleaded guilty to two counts of producing child pornography, according to  Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
While Velasquez-Curuchiche was living in a trailer park in Lebanon, Tennessee, in 2015, he preyed on a family living next door, which included a 9-year-old boy, a 6-year-old girl, and an infant. Velasquez-Curuchiche gave the children video games and offered to play with them while their father was away from home.
In September 2015, Velasquez-Curuchiche was able to copy the key of the family’s home after he tricked the children’s mother into letting him borrow the key. The mother was unaware that Velasquez-Curuchiche had copied her house key. That same month, Velasquez-Curuchiche broke into the family’s home and recorded himself sexually molesting the 6-year-old girl as she slept. A month later, Velasquez-Curuchiche broke in again and recorded more videos of child molestation. Later that year, Velasquez-Curuchiche tried to convince the mother to give her 6-year-old daughter an adult dose of Valium to treat a fever. When the parents refused, Velasquez-Curuchiche tried to pay the 9-year-old boy to administer the dose.
In October 2015, the 6-year-old girl woke up in the middle of the night and went running to her parents’ bedroom as she was crying. She told her parents that someone had been touching her while she slept. Her parents checked the bedroom, but did not find anyone inside, leading them to believe that the girl was imagining the incident. Later in the month, the family came home and the 6-year-old girl went to her bedroom to grab a toy. Velasquez-Curuchiche was hiding under her bed and proceeded to grab her by the arm, telling her to remain quiet as he tried to convince her with a game on her phone.
The 6-year-old went running out of the room to tell her parents. When her father entered the room and looked, he found Velasquez-Curuchiche hiding in the girl’s closet and held him there until police came to put the illegal immigrant in handcuffs.
“No sentence can ever restore the innocence this illegal alien took from these little children,” ICE Special Agent Robert Hammer said in a statement.  “The fact that he would sneak into their house at night, victimize them, and film the whole thing highlights the danger he posed to the entire community.”
Velasquez-Curuchiche entered the U.S. in June 2013 and was subsequently apprehended. The illegal immigrant did not appear for his scheduled immigration court hearing, evading deportation and going on to live in the country undetected for more than three years.
