Our First Lady...Very Happy With Her...

Melania is a head turner and class from head to toe…

Trump will NEVER forget this amazing moment

President Donald Trump and Pope Francis, two leaders with contrasting styles and differing worldviews, met at the Vatican on Wednesday to broadcast a tone of peace for an audience around the globe.

Trump, midway through a grueling nine-day, maiden international journey, called upon the pontiff in a private, 30-minute meeting laden with religious symbolism and ancient protocol. The president, accompanied by his wife and several aides, arrived at the Vatican just after 8 a.m. local time. The president greeted Francis in Sala del Tronetto, the room of the little throne, on the second floor of Apostolic Palace.

Upon completing their meeting, the pope gave the president a medal featuring an olive branch, a symbol of peace, among other gifts.

“We can use peace,” the president responded.

The visit began with a handshake after each man arrived, Trump in a lengthy motorcade, Francis in a Ford Focus. The president was heard thanking the pope and saying it was “a great honor” to be there. They posed for photographs and then sat down at the papal desk, the pope unsmiling, as their private meeting began.

It ended a half hour later when Francis rang the bell in his private study. The pontiff was then introduced to members of Trump’s delegation, including his wife Melania, his daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner, as well as aides Hope Hicks and Dan Scavino.

Smiling for the staff, Francis had a light moment with the first lady, asking via translator, “What do you give him to eat, potizza?” referring to a favorite papal dessert from her native Slovenia.

The first lady laughed and said “Yes.” She and Ivanka covered their heads in a sign of papal respect, a gesture they did not partake in Saudi Arabia.

As is tradition, the pope and president exchanged gifts. Trump presented the pontiff with a custom-bound, first-edition set of Martin Luther King Jr.’s works, an engraved stone from the King memorial in Washington and a bronze sculpture of a flowering lotus titled “Rising Above.”

“I think you’ll enjoy them. I hope you do,” Trump said.

The pope presented Trump with the medal, a message of peace and three bound papal documents that to some degree define his papacy and priorities, including the family and the environment. The pope told Trump he signed the message “personally for you.” Trump said he would read the books.

When Trump departed, he told the pope: “Thank you, I won’t forget what you said.”

Later, as he met with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, Trump said of the pope: “He is something.”

“We had a fantastic meeting,” the president said. “It was an honor to be with the pope.”

A statement released by the Vatican later said “satisfaction was expressed” at their “joint commitment in favor of life” and that there was hoped-for collaboration on health care and assistance to immigrants and protection of Christian communities in the Middle East.

In recent days, Francis and Trump have been in agreement on a need for Muslim leaders to do more against extremists in their own communities. But there are few other areas where their views align.

The president’s prior anti-Muslim rhetoric — including his musing that Islam “hates” the West — is the antithesis of what the pope has been preaching about a need for dialogue with Muslims. Francis also differs sharply with Trump on the need to combat climate change and economic inequality.

Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama, had a private audience with Francis at the Vatican in 2014 that lasted 50 minutes. But the timing Wednesday was tight as Francis had his weekly Wednesday general audience. The thousands of pilgrims on hand forced Trump’s motorcade to enter Vatican City from a side entrance rather than the grand entrance through St. Peter’s Square.

The meeting, which concluded Trump’s tour of the world’s largest monotheistic religions, comes after the president and pope collided head-on early last year, when Francis was sharply critical of Trump’s campaign pledge to build an impenetrable wall on the Mexican border and his declaration that the United States should turn away Muslim immigrants and refugees.

“A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian,” Francis said at the time. The pontiff has been a vocal advocate for aiding refugees, particularly those fleeing the violence in Syria, deeming it both a “moral imperative” and “Christian duty” to help.

Trump then called Francis “disgraceful” for doubting his faith.

Though both Trump and Francis are known for their unpredictability, papal visits with heads of state are carefully arranged bits of political and religious theater that follow a specific program, with little room for deviation or unwanted surprises. Trump, the 13th president to visit the Vatican, was also given a tour of the Sistine Chapel.

Trump’s visit to the Eternal City follows two stops in the Middle East where he visited the cradles of Islam and Judaism. In Saudi Arabia, he addressed dozens of Arab leaders and urged them to fight extremists at home and isolate Iran, which he depicted as menace to the region. And in Israel, Trump reaffirmed his commitment to strong ties with the nation’s longtime ally and urged Israelis and the Palestinians to begin the process of reaching a peace deal. No details or timetable have yet to be established for negotiations.

But while Trump received extravagantly warm welcomes in Riyadh and Jerusalem, the reception could grow much now that he’s reached Europe, site of widespread protests after his election. Climate change activists projected the words “Planet Earth First” on the massive dome of St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican Tuesday night and protests are expected later in the week when Trump travels to Brussels for a NATO meeting and Sicily for a G-7 gathering.

A Scandal From Bill Clinton’s Past Continues to Haunt him…

Bill Clinton can’t escape his past. His scandalous past will haunt him forever. And he was just reminded of that in the most surprising way.

Bill Clinton was impeached for lying under oath about his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

The impeachment will forever taint his Presidency.

But Monica Lewinsky dredged the scandal back up when she used it as an outrageous excuse to attack former Fox News President Roger Ailes following his death.

Lewinsky claimed in a New York Times op-ed that Ailes ruined her life by sensationalizing the affair on Fox News programming.
She wrote:
“THIS IS NOT ANOTHER OBITUARY FOR ROGER AILES, WHO DIED LAST WEEK 10 MONTHS AFTER BEING OUSTED AT FOX NEWS. IT IS, I HOPE, INSTEAD AN OBITUARY FOR THE CULTURE HE PURVEYED — A CULTURE THAT AFFECTED ME PROFOUNDLY AND PERSONALLY.
JUST TWO YEARS AFTER RUPERT MURDOCH APPOINTED MR. AILES TO HEAD THE NEW CABLE NEWS NETWORK, MY RELATIONSHIP WITH PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON BECAME PUBLIC. MR. AILES, A FORMER REPUBLICAN POLITICAL OPERATIVE, TOOK THE STORY OF THE AFFAIR AND THE TRIAL THAT FOLLOWED AND MADE CERTAIN HIS ANCHORS HAMMERED IT CEASELESSLY, 24 HOURS A DAY.
IT WORKED LIKE MAGIC: THE STORY HOOKED VIEWERS AND MADE THEM FOX LOYALISTS. FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS, FOX NEWS HAS BEEN THE NO. 1 NEWS STATION; LAST YEAR THE NETWORK MADE ABOUT $2.3 BILLION.
SOME EXPERTS HAVE NOTED THAT VIEWERS FOUND FOX FOR THE FIRST TIME BECAUSE OF THE CRISIS. JOHN MOODY, A FOX EXECUTIVE EDITOR, REFLECTED ON THAT PERIOD: “THE LEWINSKY SAGA PUT US ON THE NEWS MAP.” AS HE PUT IT IN ANOTHER INTERVIEW: “MONICA WAS A NEWS CHANNEL’S DREAM COME TRUE.”
Despite admitting that every network covered the Clinton-Lewinsky affair to the hilt, Lewinsky singled out Fox News:
“THEIR DREAM WAS MY NIGHTMARE. MY CHARACTER, MY LOOKS AND MY LIFE WERE PICKED APART MERCILESSLY. TRUTH AND FICTION MIXED AT RANDOM IN THE SERVICE OF HIGHER RATINGS. MY FAMILY AND I HUDDLED AT HOME, WORRIED ABOUT MY GOING TO JAIL — I WAS THE ORIGINAL TARGET OF KENNETH STARR’S INVESTIGATION, THREATENED WITH 27 YEARS FOR HAVING BEEN ACCUSED OF SIGNING A FALSE AFFIDAVIT AND OTHER ALLEGED CRIMES — OR WORSE, ME TAKING MY OWN LIFE. MEANTIME, MR. AILES HUDDLED WITH HIS EMPLOYEES AT FOX NEWS, DICTATING A LINEUP OF TALKING HEADS TO BEST EXPLOIT THIS PERSONAL AND NATIONAL TRAGEDY.
FOR MYRIAD REASONS — INFORMATION GATHERING, BOREDOM (I COULDN’T LEAVE MY HOME WITHOUT BEING TRAILED BY PAPARAZZI) AND A TOUCH OF MASOCHISM — I WATCHED THE NEWS AROUND THE CLOCK. ON FOX, IT SEEMED, NO RUMOR WAS TOO UNSUBSTANTIATED, NO INNUENDO TOO VILE AND NO ACCUSATION TOO ABHORRENT.”
This is nonsense and revisionist history.
Fox News did not become the dominant cable news channel until 2001.
And she accuses Ailes of fostering an environment of sexism and harassment, which is rich, considering she ignores Bill Clinton’s role in the affair.

Clinton preyed on a young intern.

And in the course of his public life, he was accused of rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment.

He was disbarred for lying under oath about his affair with Lewinsky and paid out an $800,000 settlement in the Paula Jones sexual harassment lawsuit.

This is rewriting history.

Bill Clinton was the predator in this situation, but Lewinsky changes the facts and makes Roger Ailes the real villain.

Ed note...Lewinsky and Clinton deserved one another.

Breaking: Trump Horrifies Muslims With Ramadan Statement We’ve Been Waiting For

The Muslim observance of Ramadan began Friday for millions of followers of the Islamic faith around the globe, and though it may surprise some who have bought into the media’s lies about him, President Donald Trump released a statement wishing a happy and joyous Ramadan to all who celebrate.

However, the statement was not all rainbows and unicorns like Ramadan statements from prior White House occupants. Trump also called out those within the Islamic faith — both moderate and radical alike — whose ideology permits and encourages acts of terrorism in the name of their faith.

First noting the good aspects of Ramadan, Trump stated, “At its core, the spirit of Ramadan strengthens awareness of our shared obligation to reject violence, to pursue peace and to give to those in need who are suffering from poverty or conflict.”

However, that was immediately followed by the blunt truth and a warning to those who commit or refuse to condemn terrorist acts.

“This year, the holiday begins as the world mourns the innocent victims of barbaric terrorist attacks in the United Kingdom and Egypt, acts of depravity that are directly contrary to the spirit of Ramadan,” Trump stated. “Such acts only steel our resolve to defeat the terrorists and their perverted ideology.”

That kind of steel message is going to horrify the hardliners of the Islamic world — and the appeasers in the West who refuse to stand up to them — but the president made the case for what really matters.

Trump: 'This Is a Battle Between Good and Evil'

Trump recounted his recent meeting with more than 50 leaders of the Islamic world while in Saudi Arabia, and noted how they had agreed to work together to ensure “peace, security and prosperity for our countries and for the world.”

“I reiterate my message delivered in Riyadh: America will always stand with our partners against terrorism and the ideology that fuels it,” Trump stated.

“During this month of Ramadan, let us be resolved to spare no measure so that we may ensure that future generations will be free of this scourge and able to worship and commune in peace.”

He concluded his message by extending his best wishes for a peaceful and blessed month for Muslims across the world as they observe their traditions, ending with, “May God bless you and your families.”

This is a powerful statement regarding the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, one that hasn’t been heard emanating from the White House for at least the past eight years, if not longer than that.

While Trump wished for blessed peace for all, he nevertheless noted the dire threat civilized society still faces, and was wholly unafraid to call it out. In doing so, he placed the whole world on notice that such a threat is not only entirely unacceptable, but will not be tolerated in the least going forward.

It’s about time.

Please share this on Facebook and Twitter so everyone can see Trump’s message for the Islamic observance of Ramadan.

GOP Congressman Calls For Federal Investigation Of DNC Staffer’s Death

"My fear is our constant focusing on the Russians is deflecting away for some other things..."
By Jack Davis

Although the District of Columbia police and the family of the victim are satisfied with believing that former Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was killed last July in a robbery gone bad, a Texas congressman wants a federal investigation into any possible connections between Rich’s murder and the leak of DNC documents.

“My fear is our constant focusing on the Russians is deflecting away for some other things that we need to be investigating,” Rep. Blake Farenthold said Wednesday in an interview on CNN. “There’s still some question as to whether the intrusion of the DNC server was an insider job or whether or not it was the Russians.”
View image on Twitter
BREAKING: GOP lawmaker Blake Farenthold called for federal investigation of Seth Rich murder!

Thank you, sir!

Rich was found murdered on July 16. Although his wallet was not taken, police eventually decided he was killed during a robbery attempt.

Not long after Rich’s death, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange hinted Rich might have had a convection to WikiLeaks and posted a reward for information leading to the arrest of Rich’s killer. Speculation about a Rich-WikiLeaks connection snowballed when Fox News published a story alleging he sent WikiLeaks 44,0000 emails. Fox later retracted the story.
Rich’s family has insisted Rich never leaked documents and has asked that the story be dropped.

However, Farenthold said that an insider theory, which would include Rich, “should be a part of the ongoing investigation into alleged Russian interference in the election, because that’s an alternative theory that deserves being looked at.”

What D.C. police say happened the day Seth Rich was killed

Farenthold said he has no personal knowledge about Rich’s death, but said the idea that it was related to leaks from the DNC is “as credible as the anonymous sources being cited in the Comey and Russian stories against President Trump.”

Farenthold said Rich’s computer never received an official inspection to put any theories to rest.

“The D.C. police nor no federal investigator has ever had a look at the DNC computer. We’re relying only on the report that someone that the DNC contracted to examine their computer rather than having federal officials. To me, we need to let the feds look at it,” he said.

Amid various reports that are circulating, Farenthold said the truth might be in a place where investigators have not looked.

“There’s stuff circulating on the internet,” he explained.

That train of thought led the CNN hosts to question whether Farenthold was wrongly believing false information posted online. However, the Texan had a comeback.

“That’s what you’re doing with Trump. Basing allegations on anonymous sources,” he said.

Trump Tells G7 Leaders: America Comes First In Assessing Climate Change Deal

"... a restriction enforced upon us that makes absolutely no sense."
By Jack Davis
As President Donald Trump had his first meeting with the other G7 nations, he made it clear that his desire for a working partnership would not override his “America First” stance on issues such as climate change.

Trump’s impact was shown in Saturday’s final statement about the meeting. Italian authorities wanted pages of text extolling the rights of migrants now sweeping across Europe and to have the partner nations support efforts to resettle them. Trump opposed this, and the final statement reduced mention of migrants to a few lines.

The summit, which included the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Britain, also noted that when it came to climate change, Trump would follow his own policy and not that of his partners.

“The entire discussion about climate was very difficult, if not to say very dissatisfying,” German Chancellor Angela Merkel said later. “There are no indications whether the United States will stay in the Paris Agreement or not.”

That uncertainty was reflected in the summit’s final statement.

“The United States of America is in the process of reviewing its policies on climate change and on the Paris Agreement and thus is not in a position to join the consensus on these topics,” the leaders wrote.

“Understanding this process, the Heads of State and of Government of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom and the Presidents of the European Council and of the European Commission reaffirm their strong commitment to swiftly implement the Paris Agreement, as previously stated at the Ise-Shima Summit.”
I will make my final decision on the Paris Accord next week!
Trump later tweeted he would reveal his decision about the Paris climate change accord next week.

Economic adviser Gary Cohn said Trump told leaders “the environment is very, very important to me, Donald Trump,” but the U.S. needs to have an unfettered approach to catching up to India and China in manufacturing.

“He didn’t want to do anything to put the U.S. at a disadvantage,” Cohn said.

“He wants to understand how we can bring back manufacturing, bring back jobs, but still be environmentally friendly, but not have a restriction enforced upon us that makes absolutely no sense,” Cohn said.

Trump used the summit as a chance to hear what other leaders had to say, Cohn added.

“He came here to learn. He came here to get smart. His views are evolving, exactly as they should be,” Cohn said.

What’s at Stake in the Left’s Effort to Redefine ‘Sex’ in Pennsylvania Law
Michael Geer/ @MichaelGeer

After failed legislative efforts to add "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" to state discrimination law, a state agency is seeking to read those categories into law by executive fiat. (Photo: iStock Photos)
State capitals across the country are proving they are not immune to the malady that has afflicted the policy process in Washington.
The latest case in point: Pennsylvania.
In a quietly released statement issued late on a Friday afternoon, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, an agency of the state government, announced a proposal to effectively redefine the word “sex” in the state’s discrimination law to also include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity,” or “SOGI” for short.
This proposal wouldn’t change the law—only the commission’s “guidance” on the matter. But this new “guidance” would mean the law would be enforced as if it had changed.

Trust in the mainstream media is at a historic low—and rightfully so given the behavior of many journalists in Washington, D.C.
First, a little background and some history.

For more than a decade, LGBT activists have sought to add sexual orientation and gender identity language to Pennsylvania’s anti-discrimination statute. This has become one of the most hardly fought social policy efforts of the left.

Pennsylvania is certainly not unique in receiving such challenges from the social left.

It is notable, however, that Pennsylvania citizens have repeatedly been successful in stopping these proposals in the Legislature when most of the states in the northeast have not.

There are several reasons for this.
*** History

This diverse context has created higher sensitivity to laws that would police and sanction beliefs. Simply put, Pennsylvanians value tolerance.

Pennsylvania has a long history of tolerance, religious freedom, and protecting the rights of conscience. That heritage has drawn to the state a citizenry that represents a broad array of religious backgrounds and accepts those who are different.
*** Intolerance in Other States

As has been witnessed in other states, sexual orientation and gender identity laws and regulations have worked against universal tolerance. They have empowered government prosecutors and bureaucrats to force actions and speech that can cause a citizen to violate their conscience and religious convictions.

Just ask Barronelle Stuztman or Melissa Klein. Such coercive and punitive action by government undermines tolerance and only spurs division.
*** An Affront to Women’s Rights

Examples of this can be found across the country, whether it’s a biologically male adult changing clothes in front of girls in a swim club locker room in Seattle, or teens and children facing similar circumstances in their schools, or female school athletes seeing their opportunities for success evaporate as physical males are being allowed to compete against them.

Sexual orientation and gender identity laws have been used to suggest that restricting bathroom use by biological sex is discriminatory. This has forced policy changes that threaten bathroom personal privacy and, in some cases, safety. The result is often an affront to the rights of women.

These and other concerns, brought to the attention of Pennsylvania lawmakers by their constituents, have thus far succeeded in preventing a statewide adoption of sexual orientation and gender identity legislation.

This despite significant spending by national special interests and the hiring of some of the most powerful lobbyists in Harrisburg to pressure the House and Senate to cave.

That brings us to Pennsylvania’s Democratic governor, Tom Wolf.

Wolf, named America’s most liberal governor, instigated a shakeup in the Human Relations Commission by demoting the chairman and installing a new chairman to further his agenda.

Now, in the face of a legislative stalemate, the Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission is making an end run around the Legislature to impose a freedom-robbing policy through a bureaucratic agency that was founded to guard our civil liberties.

The Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission’s website, www.phrc.pa.gov, is inviting public comment on the proposed guidance via email to chreese@pa.gov through Friday, May 26.
“This change in guidance by the [Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission] effectively means a change in law, a change that would be devastating to personal privacy and religious liberty,” said Randall Wenger, chief counsel of the Independence Law Center.
“That’s why it’s important that lovers of liberty make their voice heard to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission during their public comment period.”
Lovers of the legitimate, constitutional lawmaking process may wish to chime in as well.

CIA Director Made This Unthinkable Revelation About The Trump-Russia Investigation

The media thought they broke the bombshell story that would be the end of Donald Trump.

Pundits and Democrats believed they finally had the smoking gun proving Trump was a criminal.

But the former CIA Director crushed those dreams with this answer.

The New York Times broke a story that former FBI Director Jim Comey had written a memo after a conversation with Trump alleging the President had urged him to drop the investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

When former Obama CIA Director John Brennan testified before the House Intelligence Committee he was asked about this report.
California Democrat Adam Schiff – who is using his position as a ranking member to play up the investigation for political purposes – quizzed Brennan about whether the Trump administration leaned on the intelligence community members to interfere in the ongoing probe, or if Comey himself was pressured to stop investigating Flynn.

Brennan stunned observers when he responded “no.”

The Daily Caller reports:
“REP. ADAM SCHIFF, THE CALIFORNIA DEMOCRAT AND RANKING MINORITY MEMBER OF THE HOUSE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE, RAISED THE ISSUE OF ALLEGED TRUMP ATTEMPTS TO DROP THE INVESTIGATION OF FLYNN IN TUESDAY’S HEARING.
“IN RESPECT TO A NUMBER OF ALLEGATIONS MADE RECENTLY THAT THE PRESIDENT OF HIS AIDES MAY HAVE SOUGHT TO ENLIST THE HELP OF MEMBERS THE IC [INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY] OR DIRECTOR COMEY HIMSELF TO DROP THE FLYNN INVESTIGATION,” SCHIFF SAID. “HAVE ANY MEMBERS OF THE IC SHARED WITH YOU THEIR CONCERNS THAT THE PRESIDENT WAS ATTEMPTING TO ENLIST THE HELP OF PEOPLE WITHIN THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY TO DROP THE FLYNN INVESTIGATION?”
“NO SIR,” BRENNAN REPLIED.
BRENNAN DID NOT LIMIT HIS ANSWER TO HIS TIME AS OBAMA’S CIA CHIEF AS HE DID IN OTHER RESPONSES TO THE COMMITTEE, BUT CONFIDENTLY DESCRIBED HIS REMARKS TO APPLY TO THE PRESENT DAY.
THERE ARE 17 SEPARATE NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCIES, INCLUDING THE CIA, IN THE IC.”
In Comey’s telling, Trump “hoped” Comey could let Flynn go.

It wasn’t an order.

And Comey previously testified on May 3rd that he never felt pressure in any investigation.

The existence of this memo and Comey’s claims he felt pressured only surfaced after he was fired.

Comey’s entire story is suspicious.

If he was pressured, why didn’t he report it to the Justice Department?
And if he did feel Trump was leaning on him to go easy on Flynn, why did he testify on May 3rd that he never felt political pressure on any investigation?
The entire story came off as a hit piece on Trump when it was dropped.

As further scrutiny is applied, it becomes clearer Comey is not the Boy Scout he portrays himself to be in the media.

Rather, he is disgruntled former employee rewriting history to enact revenge on Trump.

President Trump Stands Up to G7 Leaders, Refuses to Ratify Climate Agreement

After coming to an easy agreement on a statement denouncing terrorism, the G7 leaders were unable to persuade U.S. President Donald Trump into ratifying the 2015 Paris climate agreement that would significantly reduce U.S. energy independence.

“The issue of the Paris climate accord remains suspended, as President Trump is engaged in internal reflection on the matter,” the G7 leaders stated in a press release.
On Saturday morning, President Trump tweeted in the first person that he will make his final decision on the matter sometime next week.
I will make my final decision on the Paris Accord next week!
The U.S. President seemed intent on keeping the issue of Islamic terrorism front and center, refusing to allow the more peripheral and controversial matter of climate change to derail his priorities for the meeting.
By many accounts, President Trump made a strong showing in his first meeting with heads of state.
Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, who chaired the second and final day of the G7 summit, noted that differences of opinion with President Donald Trump “emerged quite clearly in our discussion.”
At the same time, after two days of deliberations, the G7 leaders released a surprisingly compact set of accords, fruit of “more authentic” discussions with the presence of the new U.S. President, Gentiloni said.
“Discussing is always useful. I think that all of the leaders present, starting with President Trump, appreciated the informality with which one in this format… can discuss things calmly and freely.”
The American people chose Trump, he added, “so we are coming to terms with this choice.”
The President faces both internal and external pressure to yield to the climate change crowd, beginning with his daughter Ivanka and economic advisor Gary Cohn.
According to Cohn, the President’s views on the issue are evolving, and he is “leaning to understanding the European position.”

Something Shocking Happened To Elizabeth Warren That No One Predicted

Elizabeth Warren is a darling of the left.

And she’s widely expected to run for President in 2020.

So the setback she just encountered left observers shocked – because no
one could have predicted it.

Like most politicians who are preparing for a Presidential campaign, Warren released a book.

The point of these books is to introduce the politician with their life story and weave it into a coherent political narrative along with their political philosophy and vision for America.

They are terribly boring books, but they set the stage for a book tour which generates free media for the Presidential hopeful.

But there was one disturbing development for Warren.

Authors are always paid an advance for producing a book.

Politicians are no different.
Warren’s contract called for a $200,000 advance for “The Fight is our Fight.”
But this was a massive pay cut from her previous book advance.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

“Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) was paid a $200,000 advance for he
recently released book “This Fight is Out Right,” according to her 2016 financial disclosure filing.
The filing, first reported by the Boston Globe, shows that the $200,000 from Henry Holt and Company accounted for the bulk of Warren’s 2016 salary. The disclosure says that the “advance and royalties” for the book were agreed upon in November 2016 and “based on customary and usual terms.”
The Globe reports that Warren’s previous book, which was also published by Henry Holt and Company, earned her a much larger $500,000 advance.”
Was Warren’s book advance cut because there is not as much demand for her work?
Is this a sign of trouble to come for her Presidential campaign?
A recent poll found 46 percent of Massachusetts voters think someone else should be their Senator.
Politico reports:
“Sen. Elizabeth Warren may not have an easy path to reelection in 2018.
A poll released Monday shows that 46 percent of Massachusetts voters think it’s time for someone else to have a shot at the Senate.
“It’s not a great place to start for her, but she still would be the favorite at this point,” said MassINC Polling Group President Steve Koczela, who conducted the poll with public radio station WBUR.”
Warren’s softer-than-expected poll numbers and book sales indicate she may not be as formidable a candidate as the left was expecting.
Because the media is dominated by far-left ideologues, they have built Warren up as an unstoppable political force of nature.
But the media also built up Hillary Clinton in a similar fashion.
And everyone knows how that worked out.
G’day…Ciao…….
