Subject: Lettuce, Whores and Hockey Players ..............
A man in a Florida supermarket tried to buy half a head of lettuce.
Avery young produce assistant told him that they sell only whole heads of lettuce.
The man persisted and asked to see the manager. The boy said he'd ask his manager about it.
Walking into the back room, the boy said to his manager: 'Some jerk wants to buy half a head of lettuce.'
As he finished his sentence, he turned to find the man standing right behind him, so he added, 'And this gentleman has kindly offered to buy the other half.'
The manager approved the deal, and the man went on his way.
Later the manager said to the boy, 'I was impressed with the way you got yourself out of that situation earlier. We like people who think on their feet here. Where are you from, son?'
' Canada , sir,' the boy replied.
'Well, why did you leave Canada ?' the manager asked.
The boy said, 'Sir, there's nothing but whores and hockey players up there.'
'Really?' said the manager. 'My wife is from Canada .' 'No kidding?' replied the boy. 'Who'd she play for?'

Bush AG: Lynch ‘Betrayal’ Made DOJ ‘An Arm Of The Clinton Campaign’
PETER HASSON
U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch speaks about the killing of police officers in Dallas, Texas, during a press conference at the Department of Justice in Washington
The former attorney general under George W. Bush said Loretta Lynch made the Department of Justice “an arm of the Clinton campaign” by instructing then-FBI Director James Comey to mislead the public about the Clinton email investigation.
“What makes it egregious is the fact — and I think it’s obvious that it is a fact — that the attorney general of the United States was adjusting the way the department talked about its business so as to coincide with the way the Clinton campaign talked about that business,” Michael Mukasey said in an interview with Newsmax on Friday.
“In other words, it made the Department of Justice essentially an arm of the Clinton campaign,” added Mukasey, who served as the attorney general from 2007 until 2009. “That is a betrayal of the department and of its independence to illustrate that clearly that the attorney general was essentially in the tank for Secretary Clinton.”
Comey testified on Thursday that Lynch successfully pressured him into using the Clinton campaign’s spin on the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state.
Lynch told Comey to call the investigation a “matter” rather than an “investigation,” Comey said. When he asked Lynch why, he said, she dodged the question, saying: “Just call it a matter.”
Comey emphasized that the order, “gave the impression that the attorney general [Lynch] was looking to align the way we talked about our work with the way the political campaign was describing the same activity, which was inaccurate.”
Comey emphasized that the order, “gave the impression that the attorney general [Lynch] was looking to align the way we talked about our work with the way the political campaign was describing the same activity, which was inaccurate.”
Comey said he complied with Lynch’s directive to use the “inaccurate” terminology because it “wasn’t a hill worth dying on.”
The former FBI director cited Lynch’s order as well as her private tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton as the reason why he took the unusual step of holding a press conference to announce the results of the Clinton email investigation.
Limbaugh: Comey Is A ‘Drama Queen,’ GOP Senators Are ‘Squishy’
"We're living literally a soap opera..."
By Jack Davis
Talk show host Rush Limbaugh noted Thursday that although former FBI Director James Comey’s hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee was a vindication for President Donald Trump, not all members of the party that should be supporting Trump seemed to be with the president.
“I have been somewhat disappointed in the squishiness of Republican senators in this hearing today, and then I had to catch myself and realize they don’t like Trump. They have no brief for Trump. Half of them are running around salivating President Pence,” he said Thursday.
Limbaugh had tried to plumb the GOP response to Comey’s testimony Wednesday.
“Maybe it is that the Republicans in the House and the Senate are not convinced that Trump’s gonna survive and they’re holding their fire and they’re keeping their powder dry in the event that Trump doesn’t make it, either resigns, is impeached, is forced out by the media, or whatever. Maybe they’re holding out to find out if Trump will survive all this,” he noted on his Facebook page.
Limbaugh noted that Comey said that beneath all the smoke, there is no fire to be found.
“James Comey admitted under oath — and we had it yesterday in the pre-release of his testimony — that Donald Trump did not ask him to stop the Russian investigation. Therefore, there is no obstruction of justice,” he added.
“We’re living literally a soap opera, the script of which is being put together daily by elements of the media and the Washington establishment — and it’s built on nothing. It literally is built on nothing,” Limbaugh said.
Limbaugh noted the extent to which the media have refused to believe the truth.
“You know, Trump’s been out there saying this, that Comey told him that three times, and the media and the Democrats went bonkers. They thought Trump was lying, thought Trump was making it up. They thought Trump was trying to box Comey into a corner and force Comey to say this ’cause they didn’t want to believe it. They want to believe Trump is the target, because he’s their target. Trump is the only target for the media and the Democrats on the committee,” Limbaugh said.
Limbaugh mocked Comey’s portrayal of himself in his meetings with Trump.
“Comey says that Trump invited him to the Valentine’s Day dinner and that Trump said he needed loyalty. We knew that. That’s not new. Comey says he didn’t say anything or even change his expression when Trump said he wanted loyalty. What a great drama queen, Comey saying he was able to maintain his stone face,” Limbaugh said.
Limbaugh said that Comey’s testimony will not change a thing.
“He has a told the Democrats and the media just enough for them to continue their narrative that Trump’s scum and a pig and violated the law, and he has given the Republicans enough ammo to take the position Trump didn’t do anything. In other words, nothing's gonna change here. When this is all over, nobody [in the] media is gonna say, ‘You know what? We blew it!,'” Limbaugh said.
Limbaugh said Comey’s testimony reveals what happens when D.C. insiders meet someone from the real world.
“At any rate, this entire thing I think is rooted in the fact that Donald Trump speaks a foreign language from what is spoken in Washington. Trump shows up in Washington, and he speaks the way he speaks.”
He can be New York tough guy. He can be standard, ordinary, everyday American male. But one thing Trump is not is precise and careful and defensive and politically correct, and everybody in Washington is,” Limbaugh said.
“So Trump shows up, he invites Comey into the Oval Office, and Comey starts quaking in his boots … And what does Comey hear? … Comey heard all kinds of things that Trump didn’t say. … Comey is admitting he has to try to read minds here to understand what Trump is saying. So you have an admitted coward and somebody who’s admittedly afraid to be alone in a room with the guy now trying to tell us what Trump really meant,” Limbaugh said.

Source: Sessions-Kisylak Mayflower Meeting Never Happened
In Senate testimony, fired FBI Director James Comey insinuated wrongdoing by attorney general
-

Fired FBI Director James Comey reportedly referenced an undisclosed meeting between Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in the closed-door session on Thursday with members of the Senate
Intelligence Committee. Yet a source familiar with the matter said no such meeting ever happened.
In response to a question from Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) during testimony to the committee, Comey said he and senior leaders at the bureau decided not to voice concerns about President Donald Trump to Sessions, even before he recused himself because they believed that decision was inevitable.
Then Comey, unprompted, added this: “We also were aware of facts that I can’t discuss in an open setting that would make his continued engagement in a Russia-related investigation problematic. So we were convinced … that he was not going to be in contact with Russia-related matters much longer.”
Then Comey, unprompted, added this: “We also were aware of facts that I can’t discuss in an open setting that would make his continued engagement in a Russia-related investigation problematic. So we were convinced … that he was not going to be in contact with Russia-related matters much longer.”
The statement did not go unnoticed, sending reporters and the public scrambling to figure out what Comey was referring to that was not already public knowledge. CNN later reported that Comey told senators, in a closed session of the committee, that he was referring to the possibility that Sessions might have had a third meeting with Kislyak. The information is based on intercepted conversations among Russian officials. CNN, quoting confidential sources, reported it is possible Kislyak was exaggerating his meeting with Sessions.
CNN last week reported that congressional investigators were seeking more information about whether a Sessions-Kislyak meeting took place on April 27 last year at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, where candidate Trump delivered his first major foreign-policy speech.
Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores said in a statement last week that Sessions did not meet with the Russian ambassador during the speech: “The facts haven’t changed; the then-senator did not have any private or side conversations with any Russian officials at the Mayflower Hotel.”
The source with knowledge of the matter confirmed that, telling LifeZette: “There was a ton of people there … They didn’t speak.”

“Leahy and Franken are doing this because they don’t like him and his agenda … They’re impugning the character of a good man.”
In a statement on Thursday, Justice Department spokesman Ian Prior disputed various aspects of Comey’s testimony. These included denying the former director’s contention that Sessions stood silent when Comey complained about Trump clearing the Oval Office to meet one-on-one with him in February.
In fact, Prior said in the statement, Sessions “responded to this comment by saying that the FBI and Department of Justice needed to be careful about following appropriate policies regarding contacts with the White House.”
Prior did not address Comey’s suggestion that another factor influenced his decision not to inform Sessions of concerns about Trump.
Comey could simply have referenced the attorney general’s impending recusal. But he chose to add the reference to other factors he could not “discuss in an open setting,” leading some to speculate that he did so intentionally to embarrass Sessions.
The source said it is unclear whether Comey acted intentionally or was in line with contradictory testimony in previous appearances before Congress.
“It shows he doesn’t exercise good judgment with respect to what he’s saying,” the source said.
Trump’s critics have seized on supposed Sessions-Kislyak links as part of a broader narrative of “smoke” in the Russia investigation. Sessions has been swept up in that narrative since revelations that he had met twice with the ambassador last year despite testifying at his confirmation hearing that “I didn’t have — did not have communications with the Russians.”

Sessions later explained that the question he was answering, posed by Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), involved activities as a campaign surrogate and that his meeting in June 2016 with Kislyak in his Senate office was in connection with his duties as a senator.
The second "meeting" occurred at an event hosted by the Heritage Foundation outside the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. According to people who were there, Sessions delivered a speech in a room that included dozens of foreign ambassadors and chatted briefly with some of them — including Kislyak — as he walked through the room.
Franken and fellow Judiciary Committee member Pat Leahy (D-Vt.) have accused Sessions of perjury.

President Trump: “In America, We Don’t Worship Government. We Worship God”
STEVEN ERTELT
President Donald Trump struck a positive chord with Christian voters attending the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference yesterday. Trump told the pro-life voters in attendance there that government bureaucrats should not dictate the values of the citizens of the United States.
Instead, Trump said Americans — via their families in churches — know best how to create a strong community and that they are successful because they worship God not government.
“Bureaucrats think they can run over your lives, overrule your values and tell you how to live, but we know that families and churches – not government officials know best how to create a strong and loving community. We know that parents, not bureaucrats know best how to raise children and create a thriving society, and above all else, we know this: in America, we don’t worship government. We worship God,” Trump said.
President Trump also talked about how he repealed the Johnson Amendment which prohibited churches from participating and Pluto cool campaigns for fearing they would risk losing their nonprofit status with the IRS.
“No federal worker should be censoring sermons or targeting pastors. These are the people we want to hear from them. How about the people we do hear from every night on television. You want to hear from them? I don’t think so,” he said.
Furthermore, he said, “School should not be a place that drives out faith and religion.” Instead, “they should welcome faith and religion with wide open, beautiful arms.”
“Faith inspires us to be better, to be stronger, to be more caring and giving and more determined to act in selfless and courageous defense of what is good and what is right,” the president added.
“It is time to put a stop to the attacks on religion. We will end the discrimination against people of faith. Our government will once again celebrate and protect religious freedom,” he said.
“Family is the foundation of American life, and we are proud to stand together with all of you to promote and protect family values. We’re here today to celebrate two values that have always been linked together, and where Ralph frankly has done such a great job in linking them – faith and freedom,” Trump said, referring to Faith and Freedom Coalition Founder and Chairman Ralph Reed. “They’re linked together because liberty comes from our creator.
“Our rights are given to us by a divine authority, and no earthly force can ever take those rights away,” the president said. “That is why my administration is taking power out of Washington and giving it back to the people where it belongs. For too long, politicians have tried to centralized authority among the hands of a small few in our nation’s capital.”
Illegal Immigration Plummets 64% In the Month Of May
According to data just released by Customs and Border Patrol, border agents reported catching just 14,535 illegal aliens attempting to cross the border illegally between ports of entry during May.
Illegal immigration at the Southwest U.S. border plummeted by nearly 64 percent during the month of May, compared to the same month last year.
According to data just released by Customs and Border Patrol, border agents reported catching just 14,535 illegal aliens attempting to cross the border illegally between ports of entry during May. That total reflects a drop of nearly two-thirds over last May, when 40,337 illegals were apprehended by then-President Obama’s border patrol.
In fact, this year saw the lowest number of illegal alien apprehensions during the month of May in the last 17 years, according to CBP data, which only shows monthly figures going back to 2000.
Of the 14,500 or so persons caught in May, CBP reports 1,493 were unaccompanied children, while another 1,577 were members of family units traveling with relatives. This means the vast majority –11,465 of them, to be exact – were adults traveling alone.
The number of illegal aliens caught in May was up slightly over April, when 11,126 persons were caught by border agents. Based on historical trends, May is typically the heaviest month for illegal immigration across the Mexico border due to the more temperate weather conditions of late Spring.
But while border agents did note a small spike in illegal immigration heading into the summer months this year, it’s nothing compared to what the month of May had been like on the Southwest border under the Obama administration. For example, in 2015, a total of 31,576 illegal aliens were apprehended in May alone – more than twice as many as were caught this year.
The year before, more than 60,000 were caught in that same 31-day timespan.
CBP reported that this May, another 5,432 persons were caught trying to pass through U.S. ports of entry without proper documentation.

Senate begins Clinton criminal investigation
by Walter W. Murray, reporter
Looks like the old adage is true: Be careful what you wish for.
Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, victim of the most shocking upset in modern political history, has been wishing desperately to get back into the spotlight.
She’s been trying to get attention in the worst way. Well, that wish has finally come true: She now has some attention… in the WORST way!
Very quietly, the U.S. Senate has opened a new investigation into the Clinton family’s corruption — and this could be the one that lands her behind bars.
Clinton is now under investigation all over again, accused of abusing her power as secretary of state by ordering State Department officials – including career diplomats – to pressure foreign officials to help a Clinton Foundation donor.
A bombshell report by The Daily Caller revealed accusations that U.S. diplomats, under orders from Clinton, pushed Bangladesh to drop its corruption investigation into Muhammad Yunus, a longtime Clinton friend and controversial Nobel laureate behind the “microloans” aimed at low-income people in Third World countries.
A letter from Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, to current Secretary of State Rex Tillerson notes that diplomats under Clinton reportedly went hard after Sajeeb Wazed, son of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“They threatened me with the possibility of an audit by the Internal Revenue Service,” Sajeeb Wazed, son of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheik Hasina, told The Daily Caller. “They would say over and over again, ‘Yunus has powerful friends’ and we all knew they were talking of Secretary Clinton. Everybody knew it was Mrs. Clinton.”
Everybody knew… because she didn’t just leave the job to her underlings.
She even made some very public threats of her own, even if they went largely unnoticed at the time by the fawning left-wing media.
“We do not want to see any action taken that would in any way undermine or interfere in the operations of the (Yunus-led) Grameen Bank,” Clinton warned at a meeting in Bangladesh in 2012, when she was secretary of state and essentially speaking on behalf of the United States government. “I don’t want anything that would in any way undermine what has been a tremendous model.”
That “tremendous model” is a system for providing loans to very low-income people who would otherwise have no access to cash.
The idea may sound good, but the “microloans” have a dark side: People in some nations are literally selling their own organs to repay them, according to the BBC.
Some have even taken their own lives.
Yet Clinton remained a supporter of the system, and the question has to be asked: Why? And was money involved?
Last year, the Associated Press reported that the U.S. branch of Grameen Bank gave between $100,000 and $250,000 to the Clinton Foundation, while another Yunus-linked organization donated between $25,000 and $50,000.
The donations paid dividends: The AP notes that USAID – part of the State Department – gave a Yunus-run charity a $162 million aid package along with another $2.2 million in USAID loans and grants to the Grameen Foundation.
Even Yunus’ 2006 Nobel may have been a “gift” from the Clintons:
“Bill Clinton also personally lobbied the Nobel Committee on behalf of Yunus,” Grassley’s letter notes.
Looks like the James Comey hearing was just a warm-up act.
The REAL show in the Senate is just getting started.

Watchdog Group Proves Trump Right on Voter Fraud Claims
The right and left are gridlocked in a battle over voter registration laws. The right wants to tighten security and ensure that only eligible voters are participating in elections. The left argues that this makes it too difficult for legitimate voters to successfully cast their ballots.
While you might be inclined to believe that both sides have merit, a quick Google search or scan of mainstream media would tell you the science agrees with the left. As always, this is more propaganda than fact. There are studies on both sides of these arguments, so we are going to take a few minutes to uncover as much truth as possible. We’ll see how reliable different studies are and what makes them more or less applicable to the greater debate.
Liberal Claims
When Trump mentioned illegal voting during the campaign, the liberals reacted quickly and decisively. Politifact debunked the claim in no time, and a number of leftist news outlets cited nine different studies that all agree: widespread voter fraud has never happened in the U.S. and is virtually impossible. This is pretty compelling, and roughly half the country bought it.
As is always the case with liberal “facts,” peering even a little deeper annihilates the claims. All of the studies in question only reviewed voter impersonation fraud. That is when someone impersonates a registered voter to cast a ballot. While Trump acknowledged the possibility of such fraud, his (and the GOP’s) real concern is with ineligible voters casting ballots under their own names. The liberals have cited no studies in regards to this statistic for two reasons. First, it is almost impossible to successfully study. Second, the one study that has been published looks very bad for the left.
A New Study in Virginia
Just this year, a study was published by the Public Interest Legal Foundation on the very topic of ineligible voting. A follow-up to what was published last year, the new results are telling. Since 2011, roughly 5,500 non-citizens registered to vote in the state of Virginia. This is a felony-level offense. Of those, more than 1,800 were confirmed to cast ballots in multiple elections with higher participation totals being possible.
Now, Virginia was one of the more blue states this past election and the 5,500 illegal votes were not enough to sway the state, but in closer calls, these numbers could represent something sinister. New Hampshire was settled by a difference of only 2,701 votes and could easily have been settled by voter fraud.
More importantly, Virginia is estimated to be in the bottom half of states in terms of illegal voter participation. There are states where the problem is likely much worse.
A Lack of Data
As you can guess, the three states estimated to have the most voter fraud are Washington, New York and the behemoth California (New Mexico may have the highest participation rate, but it pales in terms of total number of illegal voters). You’ll notice that all of these states are extremely blue. You’ll also find that there is absolutely no public data to confirm or deny these suspicions.
While it’s easy to see why Democrat-run governments are hiding the truth, it’s interesting to discover just how determined they are. The study in Virginia was remarkably difficult to run. It took multiple lawsuits upheld by federal courts to get the Virginia government to comply and release the data. In states like California, you can expect the results to be far worse, and thus, the government will fight much harder to keep the truth hidden.
Think about this for a moment. If the Virginia government was adamantly refusing to release voting statistics, then they knew about the problem the whole time. While this surprises no one, it exposes a whole new facet of corruption. There is now actionable proof that Virginia officials were elected by illegal votes and took deliberate action to hide and uphold that situation. We can reasonably assume that the same thing is happening to greater degrees in other states.
The left will continue to hide behind their excuses. They will shout that voter registration and affirmation is discriminatory and suppresses votes. In a manner of speaking, they are right. Voter I.D. laws discriminate against illegal voters and suppresses their ability to break the law. In the meantime, it is imperative that the right pushes for more studies to expose the true extent of ineligible voting in this country. It is very likely that Trump was right all along and that Hillary’s popular vote win was only sustained through illegal practices.

Pelosi: When Republicans Voted For Trump, It Was Like ‘Any Mammal Will Do’
by PAM KEY
Friday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said when Republicans voted for President Donald Trump they were voting a “certain way,” almost like “any mammal will do.”
When asked if Trump was a dealmaker, Pelosi said, “I will give you this as an example, the first meeting we had, House and Senate, Democrats and Republicans leadership in the White House, this is a big deal. I mean it feels you with some pride to have a seat at the table and a new president, I have been at that meeting with President George W. Bush as a leader and same thing with President Obama, and now here we are with a new president. The first thing he says, ‘You know I won the popular vote.’ Well, I thought since he’s being unconventional so will I. Because I was respectful with President Bush and we worked closely with him —”
Joe Scarborough interjected, “I bet you are missing him now?
Pelosi replied, “He told me I would. He said, ‘You’re going to miss me.’ That was a long time ago. I wish he were president now. I wish Mitt Romney were president. I wish John McCain were president. As far as the Republicans, the people that voted, it’s almost like any mammal will do. They were just voting a certain way.”
She continued her story, “When he said that, I said, ‘That’s not true, there is no evidence to support what you just said.’ If we were going to work together, we have to stipulate to a certain set of facts. When we work with President Bush or when we work across the aisle, we all have to start at a place where we are dealing with facts, evidence, and data and you can compromise. You cannot make things up. He said, ‘Well 3 or 4 million people voted illegally.’ I said, ‘Well, that’s not true.’ And he said ‘and I am not counting California.’ That was pretty sad because he didn’t understand his place in history.”
Pelosi also said Trump does not sleep enough, adding, “I’m concerned about his fitness for office.”

Reality Wins…Californian speaks out...
I live in California as well, and like you, I believe that California can be won back to favor reason and the GOP. Many Californians do support President Trump, and I believe that the true numbers are higher that what the election results showed.
First, take away the illegal voters that were encouraged by O and others to vote although they were not entitled legally to do so.
Secondly, add the absentee ballots that were never counted in the popular vote tally from U.S. citizens that were outside of the U.S., most of which are out of country military members that overwhelmingly support President Trump. If this were done, I am sure that the Pro-Trump numbers in California would have been much higher than just the under 4 million you spoke of.
Also, Donald Trump did not have many rallies in California, and that could be changed anytime, even while he is our President, long before the 2020 campaigns begin again.
Finally, what California, and this country needs is some form of voter ID card to guarantee the honesty of our votes and our voting system as a whole. Any argument against this is just an attempt to manipulate voting outcomes to favor the Dems by failing to weed out the fraud.
We need picture ID for everything in our lives these days, so why not to prove that a voter only votes once for any given candidate and that the voter is even a U.S. citizen eligible to vote in the first place?
There are rats in our California swamp, just like in Washington. These individuals need to be voted out of office so that common sense can once again apply to our politics, both in California and in our nation.
Drain that "Swamp" and stand by President Trump.
