Report: Anti-Semitic Views Backed by Half of Austria’s Muslim Youth
2
Almost 50 per cent of newly-arrived young Austrian Muslim migrants hold anti-Semitic views, a new study published by the University of Teacher Education in Vienna reveals.
Der Standard newspaper reports that a recent poll asked Austrian Muslim students if they felt that “Jews have too much influence in Austria.” Almost 48 per cent answered in the affirmative. Those surveyed had migrant backgrounds representing a diverse set of Muslim-majority countries such as Syria as well as Muslim-minority countries including Bosnia, Albania, and Bulgaria.
The result follow another study published 12 months ago that showed a record number of anti-Semitic incidents across the country, ranging from verbal and online threats to assaults. Austria’s Jewish community stands at just 13,000-15,000 in an overall population of 8.8 million.
The authors of the latest study, Georg Lauss and Stefan Schmid-Heher, told Der Standard that “educational and prevention efforts against anti-Semitism need to be strengthened.”
Der Standard warned of the need to confront anti-Semitism among Muslim immigrants, writing the “refugee movement, where people from Syria, Iraq and Iran came to Austria, and in whose countries hostility toward Jews was politically cultivated” helps explain Jew-hatred.
As Breitbart London has reported, anti-Semitic incidents in Austria grew by 82 per cent between 2014 and 2015, Jewish community group Israelitischen Kultusgemeinde (IKG) revealed. Their report was collated by the non-governmental organisation ‘Forum Gegen Antisemitismus’ (Forum Against Anti-Semitism), a report in the European Jewish Press showed.
At the same time, the number of Jews leaving Europe for Israel has been slowly increasing for the last 15 years, but in 2014 the number doubled, and in 2015 it rose again. Meanwhile the number of French Jews in London is now so great that in January, 2016 the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in St. John’s Wood began offering services in French.
Daniel Schwammenthal, director of the Brussels-based Transatlantic Institute, has previously commented on rising levels of anti-Semitism in Europe: “You know something has gone awfully wrong when you get phone calls from friends and family in Israel who are worried about your personal safety in Europe’s capital.”
Man With ‘Explosives Belt’ Shot By Brussels Police, Explosions at Central Station
1
Reports claim that there have been explosions at the main railway station in Brussels and that police have ordered people to evacuate the building.
The Brussels Public prosecutor has said that there have been no civilian deaths or injuries in the incident. The prosecutor’s office has not so far specified whether the man shot has died or is being treated for his injuries and have not identified the man.
Witnesses now say that the man shot by authorities at the station yelled “Allahu Ackbar” before being subdued.
UKIP MEP David Coburn, who was in the vicinity of the railway station as the incident took place, said he saw people running away “with look of terror on their faces.”
News agency Reuters claim that an attacker has been shot by the police and is thought to have been wearing a suicide belt explosive device.
Brussels police have released a brief statement on Twitter saying that the incident is “under control” and only one person, referred to as a “private individual,” was involved.
Peter De Waele of the federal police has commented on the incident saying, “According to initial findings, there is not much damage, but more details are missing for now,” and added that the incident was still under investigation.
There are also reports that witnesses heard gunfire at the station along with the explosions. One man has reportedly been shot, though there have been no confirmed reports of casualties so far by the authorities.
All train traffic into Brussels Central station has been halted according to the SNCB, the government-owned railway company in Belgium.
Tuesday afternoon:
To Moe & Helen Lauzier,
A current online poll should be raising some eyebrows at CNN. Last week, the self-proclaimed "Most Trusted Name in News" network began asking visitors to their website: "Should Trump be investigated for obstruction of justice?" The shocking results probably aren't what CNN was expecting.
Slightly more than 70 percent of respondents said the President should NOT be investigated, and nearly 30 percent believe he should. While clearly stating that the survey "is not scientific," the number of "No" votes among the almost 2.8 million cast should tell CNN something. Below is a screen grab of the results as of this morning:
Back in January, Mr. Trump labeled the network "very fake news" because of coverage that he feels is biased against him and his policies. Many supporters of the President think CNN is one of the many leftist media outlets perpetuating a baseless "witch hunt" against America's Commander-in-Chief.
The results of Grassfire's "Trump Witch Hunt?" Quick Poll indicates that an overwhelming majority of our team members (95.5%) believe that the President IS being unfairly targeted. That's why conservative Americans must not leave Mr. Trump alone to defend himself against the Democrats, the liberal media, Hollywood, the Deep State and the Establishment RINOs, who are either running for cover or complicit in this witch hunt!
Too many patriotic Americans have been silent as the Left has vilified, undermined and attacked our President. Most reasonable people assumed there would be some decency and protocol -- that our new Commander-in-Chief would be given an opportunity to launch his "Make America Great Again" agenda. Not a chance. Five months into his presidency, enemies of Mr. Trump are attempting to lay the groundwork for impeachment.
Washington Post admits: ‘Nancy Pelosi is a liar’
House Minority Speaker Nancy Pelosi is doing everything she can to bad mouth the American Health Care Act, the GOP’s Obamacare replacement.
But now she’s stooped as low as telling flat out lies — and even the liberal media is calling her out!
But now she’s stooped as low as telling flat out lies — and even the liberal media is calling her out!
The Washington Post fact checked Pelosi’s recent statement on the AHCA, on which she said, “Americans will lose their health coverage because of his proposal. And it is a job loser. Estimated to be 1.8 million jobs lost. Donald Trump is a job loser.”
But there’s a major problem. Pelosi is basing that information on a study by a think tank who was up front about the inaccuracy of their information, calling it a “rough estimate.”
It’s her claim basis on this one, left-leaning research group that forced the liberal Washington Post to acknowledge her insane claim — giving her two Pinocchios on their fact checking scale.
Her spokesman, Drew Hammill, said her information was based on a report by the Center for American Progress — a left leaning public policy research firm. So it’s no surprise that this notoriously liberal firm would report negatively about the AHCA.
But what makes it even worse is Pelosi is completely ignoring studies that say the opposite: The the AHCA will actually result in job growth.
The American Action Forum countered the claim that repealing the Affordable Care Act would cost jobs, saying, “The argument that eliminating the ACA will shrink the economy and cost jobs in baseless, as it ignores the other side of the equation: federal spending means higher taxes our of taxpayer’s pockets.”
They go on to say, “The evidence continues to accumulate that repealing the ACA would raise economic growth, increase the labor force, and eliminate the harmful effects on small businesses and their workers.”
Her outlandish statements come as Republicans are getting ready for Senate votes on legislation scuttling former President Barack Obama’s health care law, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday among growing indications that the climactic vote could occur next week.
“The Senate will soon have a chance to turn the page on this failed law,” said the Kentucky Republican. He said GOP senators have had “many productive discussions” on the measure and added, “We have to act, and we are.”
But not if Pelosi has anything to do with it. She will keep pushing the idea that the AHCA is bad for America, even if that means leaving failing Obamacare in place.
Luckily, her lies are so blatant, even the liberal media won’t go along with them.

#WINNING — Trump’s economy sees stocks hit ALL-TIME high (again!)
President Donald Trump was left an economy in shambles. Former President Barack Obama did all he could to grind business to a halt in the United States — and for years, unemployment numbers were through the roof while healthcare costs also skyrocketed.
Now? Since Trump took over, it’s a whole new ballgame.
Monday, the stock market reached another all-time high, and job creation is through the roof. For the year, the S&P 500 is up 214.63 points, or 9.6 percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 1,766.39 points, or 8.9 percent. The Nasdaq is up 855.90 points, or 15.9 percent. And the Russell 2000 is up 60.95 points, or 4.5 percent.
You wouldn’t know it by going to the mainstream media, however.
The liberal journalists are too busy on their anti-Trump witch hunt to focus on good news.
In fact, these days it would barely be surprising if The New York Times found a new “anonymous source” that blamed the stock market rise on Russian hackers.
In the face of a roaring economy and Americans getting back to work, lets take CNN’s homepage as an example. Highlighted are stories attacking Trump’s White House —
For those keeping track at home: Ten of CNN’s 19 top stories on their front page as of Tuesday afternoon are an attack on the Trump administration.
There’s zero mention that, under Trump, American taxpayers are enjoying the biggest bull economy in history.
If that’s not a witch hunt, what is?
There’s a reason behind this, of course.
It’s not that the mainstream media is simply ignoring the rapid economic growth happening across the country. It’s that the liberal media is scared to talk about it.
After all, since the inauguration, the liberal media and establishment politicians have pulled out all the stops to take down Trump. Day after day, the White House is under siege over imaginary Russian connections and other whacko leftist conspiracies.
Still, Trump’s approval ratings are strong — well above the average that Obama enjoyed throughout his presidency, and better than former President Bill Clinton at this time in his presidency.
It’s no wonder the liberal media is scared to talk about the biggest story in the country.
If their viewers realize the sky isn’t falling, they might tune out.
Or, worse for liberals, these viewers might even start listening to the president — and start questioning the media’s motivation.

"Man, once surrendering his reason, has no remaining guard against absurdities the most monstrous, and like a ship without rudder, is the sport of every wind. With such persons, gullibility, which they call faith, takes the helm from the hand of reason and the mind becomes a wreck."

If a Trump Supporter Had Shot a Democratic Congressman
Dennis Prager
What would have happened if a Trump supporter had shot a Democratic congressman and other Democratic Washington officials?
The answer is obvious.
The New York Times, the rest of the left-wing media and the Democratic Party would have made the shootings the dominant issue in American life. It is not possible to understand the Left — and, therefore, the media and the current state of American life — without understanding how the Left uses and relies on hysteria. Hysteria is to the Left as oxygen is to biological life.
From the moment Donald Trump was elected president, America has been drowning in left-wing hysteria, all fomented by the media and the Democratic Party.
The charge of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign is hysteria. The claim that the president engaged in obstruction of justice is hysteria. As I have pointed out, the charge of Trump’s election unleashing hate and anti-Semitism, which dominated American media for months, was hysteria.
If Democrats had been shot by a Trump supporter, all you would be hearing and reading about is how much hate the Trump election has unleashed in America, how his election is threatening our democracy and how he is unleashing fascism.
But it was a not a Trump supporter who attempted to murder a Democratic congressman, Capitol Police officers, a House GOP aide and a lobbyist; it was a Trump-hating leftist who attempted to murder a Republican congressman and other Republican officials. And, for that reason, what would have been the dominant issue in America today is already a non issue. The shooting took place on Wednesday. On Friday, the only article about it on The New York Times front page was about the “harmony” engulfing Democrats and Republicans in the wake of the shooting. By Saturday, there was nothing about the shooting on the front page.
The “harmony” issue is worth noting. As sure as the sun rises in the east, had a Trump-supporting fanatic shot Democratic officials, the Democrats would not have said a word about the need for “harmony,” or the need to lower the temperature in American political discourse. On the contrary, they would have greatly raised the temperature of their already blistering rhetoric. They would have attributed the shooting entirely to Trump’s “hateful” rhetoric having permeated conservative and Republican America.
But it was a leftist who attempted to slaughter Republicans, so it was Republicans who had to respond. And they did so by calling for harmony and lowering the temperature of political differences.
In other words, Republicans reacted with complete conciliation, whereas the Democrats and their media would have gone ballistic against the Right.
Now, why is that?
One reason is that Republicans have accepted the post-shooting narrative of there being some sort of moral equivalence between right-wing and left-wing hate. That they have reinforces my belief that the great majority of Republicans and conservatives, whether in politics or in the media, do not appreciate how rotten the Left is (the Left — not traditional liberals). Many really believe that calls for “harmony” and “unity” with Democrats and the Left are meaningful.
But the only reason Democrats talked about harmony for a few days after the shooting was one of theirs was the shooter.
Even during the three-day “harmony” period, the Left was busy furthering the falsehood that there is quantitative and qualitative equivalence between right-wing and left-wing hate. As evidence, a New York Times editorial said: “Was this attack evidence of how vicious American politics has become? Probably. In 2011, Jared Lee Loughner opened fire in a supermarket parking lot, grievously wounding Representative Gabby Giffords and killing six people, including a 9-year-old girl. At the time, we and others were sharply critical of the heated political rhetoric on the right. Before the shooting, Sarah Palin’s political action committee circulated a map that showed the targeted electoral districts of Ms. Giffords and 19 other Democrats under stylized cross hairs.”
A Republican putting crosshairs on vulnerable Democrat districts is the worst the Times could come up with. And that is apparently equivalent to all the hate directed at President Trump: calling opposition to him “resistance,” as if Democrats were the French resistance and Trump were a Nazi; Kathy Griffin holding President Trump’s mock severed head with blood gushing out; Stephen Colbert saying on his TV show that Trump’s mouth would make a good “c— holster” for Russian President Vladimir Putin; and so much more unprecedented hate.
The difference between what has happened after these shootings and what would have happened had a right-winger shot Democratic officials is, in a nutshell, the moral difference between the Left and the Right; and between Democrats and Republicans.

House Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday the Senate plans to vote next week on a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare following the Thursday release of the legislative details, and a price tag provided by the Congressional Budget Office.
"I expect to have a discussion draft on Thursday," said McConnell, R-Ky. "And we'll go to the bill obviously once we get a CBO score. Likely next week."
McConnell said Republican lawmakers are wrapping up "intense discussions" about how to write the bill. Vice President Pence and Health and Human Service Secretary Tom Price met privately with Republican senators at their daily lunch on Tuesday.
Republicans are eager to wrap up consideration of a health care reform bill by the August recess so that they can dedicate the fall session to tax reform.
The Senate version is not going to replicate a House-passed bill, which means if the Senate can pass it, lawmakers would have to negotiate a compromise that can pass both chambers.
Republicans continued private talks on healthcare reform as Democrats protested their exclusion from the discussions and lack of public hearings on the legislation. But Republicans say Democrats have shown no interest in negotiating.
"They are not interested in what we are trying to achieve at all," McConnell said.
McConnell pointed out Senate Democrats in 2009 wrote much of Obamacare in then-Majority Leader Harry Reid's office.
McConnell said there will be "plenty of time" to review the GOP bill. "This will be as transparent as it can be," McConnell said.
Maxine Waters Tried To Protect Cop-Killer Assata Shakur
Nearly 38 years ago, former Black Panther and convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur (birthname: Joanne Chesimard) escaped from prison and fled to Cuba. She’s was granted protection by the Castro regime, and started to receive a monthly salary from the Cuban government to support her living expenses.
She’s been on the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list ever since her crime. The $1 million bounty on her head was recently raised to $2 million. And here’s the real kicker: Black Lives Matter cites Assata as the ideological inspiration for their movement!
Of course, there is no shortage of crazies supporting the terrorist. In fact, back in the 1990s, Maxine Waters, the self-proclaimed leader of the “resistance” against President Trump, sent a personal letter to Fidel Castro apologizing for a vote she took demanding Chesimard be extradited.
Note the language Waters uses. She calls Assata a “political activist” who was fleeing “political persecution” and said that Castro was right to grant her “political asylum.”
That’s a bizarre way to refer to an ideologically-driven murderer.
Why are liberals championing her as a member of the “resistance” again? I suppose that the old saying is true: If liberals didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any standards at all.
