Oh, the mad genius of Donald Trump!
On the cusp of one of the biggest victories of his administration, cracking down on illegal aliens who commit vicious crimes inside our country, President Trump took to Twitter.
“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”
The only thing missing from this electronic presidential address was the Marine Band playing “Hail to the Chief.”
She was bleeding badly. Face-lift. Low I.Q. Psycho Joe.
It is all so delicious. Mercilessly inventive. Joyously vicious. Like an entire season of pro wrestling drama, all sewn up into two little Twitter messages.
The Trump presidency is a little like having a dog. Every day that passes, you love the dog more and more until it seems impossible to love her any more.
But — sadly — every day also brings that nagging dread that one day she will be gone, seven times sooner than she should. What will we do when it is all over? There will never be another dog like her (sad face).
Of course, the puritanical schoolmarms of the political press went absolutely bonkers over Mr. Trump’s broadside of their fellow travelers. They scolded him that his Twitter missives were beneath the office of the president.
Really, you mean like molesting an intern in the Oval Office? “Presidential” like that?
MSNBC — the afterthought cable channel that airs “Morning Joe” — responded on Twitter: “It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job.”
But the funny thing about it is that nobody actually disproved anything that Mr. Trump alleged. Just like Russia and obstruction of justice and everything else, there is not one single shred of evidence that Mr. Trump is not 100 percent in the right.
“The Amazon Post” — the paper-of-record for Never Trumpers — rushed to the defense of Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough with a laughably illogical and twisted explanation.
“The notion that Brzezinski and Scarborough were desperate to hang out with Trump on New Year's Eve but were rebuffed seems dubious, at best,” reporter Callum Borchers wrote on the paper’s website.
“For one thing, the New York Times spotted the co-hosts at Trump’s New Year's Eve party at Mar-a-Lago.”
So, wait a minute? The proof that Mr. Trump is lying about Ms. Brzezinski and Mr. Scarborough slumming around Mar-a-Lago around New Year's Eve is that — well — Ms. Brzezinski and Mr. Scarborough were slumming around Mar-a-Lago around New Year's Eve?
Oof. Mr. Borchers probably learned this in journalism school. He should have gone to logic school instead.
But the correspondent was still not finished changing diapers for Ms. Brzezinski and Mr. Scarborough.
“For another,” Mr. Borchers writes, “Scarborough followed the report of their appearance [of Brzezinski and Scarborough slumming around Mar-a-Lago around New Year's Eve] by angrily protesting any suggestion that he and Brzezinski were trying to cozy up to the president-elect.”
Let’s put this in terms the young reporter might understand: O-M-G.
Then Mr. Borchers goes on to accuse Mr. Trump of a “blatantly sexist attack” on Ms. Brzezinski because the president called her “unintelligent.”
Whoa! You mean that accusing someone of being “low I.Q.” is the equivalent of calling them female?
You might want to get a little “woke” to modern times.
Ms. Brzezinski (that would be she of “low I.Q.” and “crazy”), meanwhile, proved herself entirely worthy of Mr. Trump’s tirade by attacking the size of his manhood on Twitter.
I wish I were making that up, but that is what she did.
She posted a picture of a Cheerios box with a small child reaching a tiny finger out for a little toasted Cheerio. The box reads: “Made for Little Hands.”
Get it?
Such classy people. And they have been a respected part of the establishment for years. Donald Trump just got here.
Oh, one last thing. What about the bloody face-lift? No one seems to be addressing the issue of her traipsing around Mar-a-Lago bleeding from a face-lift.
Either way, Mika, you should ask for your money back.

How Trump’s Tweets Actually Help His Agenda
The conventional wisdom in the media, and even among many conservatives, is that President Donald Trump’s tweets are frustrating his policy agenda. But the opposite is true: his most controversial tweets are helping him.
The conventional wisdom relies on the mistaken assumption that presidents must pursue their policy priorities by seeking support from the public at large. If that were true, it would indeed be best for Trump to play nice on Twitter.
But in reality, because Republicans control Congress, and since they are prepared to use the Senate reconciliation process to overcome total Democratic obstruction, Trump merely needs to unite his own party to fulfill his agenda.
Given that a significant portion of the Republican Party has been hostile to Trump and his agenda from the outset, he cannot hope to rally the Republicans by appeasing its different factions, many of whom cannot stand each other. The only way to unify them is to convince them that unless they fulfill their legislative promises on Obamacare and tax reform, they are going to lose the 2018 midterm elections, because conservative voters will stay home in droves.
Trump cannot say that directly, because that would compromise his own negotiating position. He needs to posture as if he can afford to walk away from a bad deal, and blame the Democrats for the ongoing collapse of Obamacare. But the Twitter fallout is showing Republicans that if they try to coast through the midterms without achieving any major goals, there is no way Trump is going to be able to save them from a hostile media and enraged Democrats.

The president’s Twitter wars, like the one that exploded this week with MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, also boost the conservative base. Not because the base condones what he says — many conservatives do not — but because when Trump alienates the media and the Democrats, he must rely more heavily on his supporters. That makes the party base immensely more powerful in defining the president’s agenda and keeping it focused.
The notion that Trump’s tweets take media attention away from his accomplishments is spurious. The media have no interest whatsoever in covering Trump’s successes. At best, the MSNBC fight has done is displace the Russia story (probably not intentionally — Trump is not that calculating, and he has nothing to hide on the Russian front.)
There is another advantage in Trump’s tweets. From The Art of the Deal, through the presidential campaign, and today, Trump has shown that he uses a strategy game theorists call “massive retaliatory strike.” As Breitbart News explained last year, Trump “is friendly by default, but hits back hard if challenged.” As a deterrent, that strategy is most effective when it is consistent. And certainly Scarborough and Brzezinksi did enough to invite a response.
Far from embarrassing the country, as the media suggests, Trump’s approach also puts America’s enemies on notice.
Still, it would be best, for other reasons, for Trump to be gentlemanly on Twitter. And as 2020 draws nearer, he will need to broaden his support.
But as far as his policy agenda is concerned, his Twitter fights are a plus, for now.

China Unveils Brand New Naval Destroyer

The Chinese military launched a new class of naval destroyer Wednesday, in a move that suggests the nation is looking to become a new player in the battle against North Korea.
The 10,000-ton warship was unveiled at the Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai, according to Chinese media outlet Xinhua Net.
“It is equipped with new air defense, anti-missile, anti-ship and anti-submarine weapons,” the outlet said.

China has ramped up the expansion of its Navy as an attempt to modernize its military, ABC News reported, adding that the nation plans to have between 265 and 273 warships, submarines and logistics vessels by 2020, according to the Washington-based Center for Naval Analysis.
China reportedly said it needs a powerful navy to defend its coastline and its maritime shipping routes, according to ABC.
There’s no doubt China’s rapid military expansion is also a response to the ever-increasing threat posed by North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, who has repeatedly ignored China’s warnings to halt its missile tests.
Kim may not be happy knowing that such a formidable force sits so close to him. But that’s not China’s only aim, here.
China has also been actively looking to grow its global presence. Earlier this month, the Pentagon warned that the country was looking to establish a military base in Pakistan. The nation also expanded its military to defend territory in the South China Sea it claims it controls, and has constructed islands in the sea to house surface-to-air missiles.
China’s latest flexing of its military muscle could mean trouble not only for North Korea, but the United States as well.

We’re finding out more and more unbelievable news about Bernie Sanders and his wife, Jane.
We just learned Jane was under FBI investigation for bank fraud for obtaining a $10 million dollar loan for Burlington College in Vermont, which is now bankrupt.
Now, Judicial Watch reports that Jane tried to kick disabled residents out of a group home instead of negotiating a property transfer.
Earlier this week, Sanders said, “Excuse me! My wife is the most honest person I know.” Well, Sen. Sanders, maybe you don’t know her so well, or you are in on it, too.
We already knew the Sanders was part of the Washington elite crowd, but his fans and followers hid that reputation because Sanders reminded them of some sick old grandpa trying to win the nomination.
But, it turns out, Sanders is just as dirty as the rest and this report backs up my claim.

Amid a deepening federal investigation of Jane Sanders, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ wife, Judicial Watch has obtained records that paint a rather disturbing personal portrait of a heartless spouse—and longtime political advisor—of the Democratic Socialist candidate for president of the United States. During the Obama administration, the FBI began investigating Jane for falsifying documents to obtain a $10 million loan to expand a now-defunct liberal arts college in a town where her husband once served as mayor while she was the school’s president.
The loan went through, some allege after her husband’s senatorial office pressured the bank to approve it, and Jane masterminded a deal to purchase an undeveloped, 32-acre parcel of land and a 77,000-square-foot facility from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington. The purchase included a facility that served as a group home for disabled people and, under the terms of the deal, Jane was supposed to negotiate the transfer of the disabled residents before the school took over the property. Instead Jane tried to kick the disabled people out of their group home, records obtained by Judicial Watch show. The records, part of an ongoing Judicial Watch investigation into the Jane Sanders fraud case, include electronic mail exchanges between Jane when she was president of Burlington College and two former mayors of the city of Burlington.
If Democrats would just be honest about their intentions, at least I could respect them. But they are just liars and deceivers, and I can only hate them and work towards eradicating them from political positions and leadership.
Pro-Life Democrats Meet With Party Chair Tom Perez. He Tells Them, “Sorry, We’re Pro-Abortion

Democratic Party leaders met with pro-life Democrats this week to discuss how the party’s radical and out-of-touch stance on abortion is alienating voters.
Democrats for Life Executive Director Kristen Day said she and several other pro-life Democrats met with party chairman Tom Perez on Tuesday to urge the party to welcome pro-life candidates again. She said they also asked the party to back down on one of its most unpopular new platforms: support of taxpayer-funded abortions.
The Democratic Party has aligned itself closely with the abortion industry in the past few years. It once welcomed and supported pro-life candidates for office, but recently party leaders have made it clear that pro-life candidates are not welcome.
Earlier this year, amid pressure from abortion activists, Perez declared that abortion is a “fundamental value” in the Democratic Party and every Democrat should support it.
“Every Democrat, like every American, should support a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her health. That is not negotiable,” Perez said in a statement this spring.
Some described Perez’s statement as a “litmus test” for future Democratic candidates.
On Tuesday, Day and other pro-life Democrats urged the party to rethink its radical pro-abortion stance, the Catholic News Service reports. Day said she thought the meeting was a step in the right direction, but they have a lot of work to do.
The Democratic Party leaders issued a statement after the meeting, saying they remain committed to abortion but they do want to listen to different people’s opinions.
“Our party has always welcomed different opinions on several issues and Tom (Perez) is committed to listening to all Democrats as we work to rebuild our party,” said Xochitl Hinojosa, DNC communications director, in a statement. “Our party platform makes clear that Democrats trust women to make their own choices about their body and their health, and Tom [Perez] stands by this.”
Day told the Atlantic that they gave the DNC leaders a list of requests, including a public statement “explaining that the party does not support an abortion litmus test and pressuring people to change their position on life.” They also asked the party to reverse its new platform opposing the Hyde Amendment, which prevents taxpayer funding of abortion.
Struggling after heavy election losses in November, many in the party are debating whether to support pro-life Democratic candidates, especially in rural areas where voters tend to be more pro-life.
The debate erupted in the spring after abortion activists with NARAL criticized DNC Chair Perez, Sen. Bernie Sanders and others for supporting Heath Mello, a Nebraska Democratic mayoral candidate who has a pro-life voting record.

Man who raped at 13 in Apollo Beach re-sentenced to 60 years
TAMPA — He helped abduct them. He raped them. He wanted to kill them.
He was just 13.
The boy whom a judge once described as a predator without a conscience is now a 22-year-old man. On Friday, that man stood before another judge and offered a terse apology for his role in the brutal rapes of two women in 2008 in Apollo Beach.
"Every minute of the last nine years, I've regretted the crime I committed when I was 13 years old," Jose Walle said.
Circuit Judge Kimberly Fernandez said she gave some consideration to Walle's youth. But she could not ignore the brutality of what he had done. "It wasn't something I would consider to be an impetuous act," Fernandez said.
She sentenced him to 60 years in prison. It was slightly less than the 65 years he had previously been serving, a penalty prosecutors had sought to renew.
It was the third time Walle had been sentenced for what Assistant State Attorney Michelle Doherty described as "one of the most horrific and egregious" crimes to have ever occurred in Hillsborough County.
Walle was eligible for a new sentence courtesy of a series of recent U.S. and Florida Supreme Court cases, which held that it is unconstitutional to give lengthy punishments to defendants who were juveniles when they committed crimes.
On Aug. 16, 2008, Walle along with Rigoberto Martinez, then 22, and Vicente Reyes-Carbajal, then 23, attacked the two waitresses outside the Docks restaurant in Apollo Beach. They forced the women into a truck, then drove throughout south Hillsborough, and for four hours, repeatedly raped them.
The victims remembered Walle as "the meanest one" and the most violent, Doherty said. They remembered overhearing him saying that he wanted to kill them. One of the older men talked him out of it.
The women were later forced to jump out of the truck on Interstate 75.
The crime was the last in a string of sexual attacks that occurred that summer. Just 13 days earlier, the group had robbed a St. Petersburg restaurant and raped one of the employees. For his role in that crime, Walle is serving a 27-year sentence.
In Hillsborough, he first got life. That was in 2010, before the U.S. Supreme Court struck down juvenile life sentences.
Later the same year, Circuit Judge Chet A. Tharpe sentenced him again, to 65 years on top of the Pinellas sentence. It meant Walle would be in his 90's before he could have a chance of release.
But further high court rulings led that sentence to be overturned.
On Friday, Walle stood, quiet and impassive, throughout the hour-long sentencing hearing.
The women were there. One was, nine years later, still too traumatized to speak. The other, spoke for them both.
"(We) have a lifetime sentence that we will never get out of," she said. "We are scared every day. We will never get a chance at parole. It will forever affect our lives."
Walle's lawyer, Aaryn Urell of the Alabama-based Equal Justice Initiative, detailed Walle's troubled adolescence. By age 13 he had used a variety of drugs, which fueled a turbulent relationship with his parents. He ended up leaving home, living on the streets, before falling in with Martinez and Reyes-Carbajal.
Urell emphasized the influence the men had on the impressionable teen.
She asked for a new sentence in the range of 27 years, citing research showing that was the average length of time other juveniles had served for similarly serious crimes.
But Doherty questioned the accuracy of the defense's assessment. She asserted Walle is no common criminal.
"This case is very distinguishable," she said. "It is one of the most egregious that has occurred in our state. It is more comparable to a case they did not mention and that is the case of Kendrick Morris."
Morris, who is well-known as the Bloomingdale Library rapist, committed a pair of rapes in east Hillsborough County at age 15 and 16. Earlier this year, he was re-sentenced to life in prison, with a mandatory review of his case after 20 years.
Morris was different, though, in that he acted alone.
Walle's cohorts, Martinez and Reyes-Carbajal, got life and 50 years respectively.
The judge said she had considered a number of factors as the law requires, including Walle's immaturity and the influence of the other two men. But she gave "great weight" to the lengthy duration of the crime and the fact that he did it days after he had committed the St. Petersburg crime.
Walle's new sentence will run concurrent to his Pinellas sentence, meaning 60 years will be the most he will spend in prison. He will be eligible to have his sentence reviewed after he has served 20 years.

The presence of illegal alien gangs in U.S. communities is due to decades of failure on the part of our federal government to secure our southern border and policies that allow such criminals to find sanctuary on U.S. soil. From traditional street gangs, prison based gangs, and those that have evolved into transnational criminal organizations, these gangs are causing communities to drain valuable resources to combat the crime wave that accompanies them. Additionally, the flood of unaccompanied minors since 2012 from primarily El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala has provided some of these gangs with a steady flow of members to bolster their ranks.
The five listed gangs are gangs made up of primarily illegal aliens or a mix of illegal aliens and Mexican-American citizens. These gangs are operating in your communities as well as back in their countries of origin and are all engaged in street level or wholesale drug dealing, extortion by taxing, and murder. Some of these gangs are involved in human smuggling, sexual assaults related to their human smuggling activities, and each are working as foot soldiers for Mexican transnational drug trafficking organizations (cartels.)
1. MS-13 or Mara Salvatrucha or also known as “La Mara.”
MS-13 originated in the early 80’s, primarily in Los Angeles. A wave of refugees flooded into the U.S. during this time from El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua due to the civil wars that were ravaging central America. Originally, MS-13 consisted of primarily Salvadorans, but later the gang expanded to other Spanish-speaking nationalities; the gang later started expanding to other cities and states.
During a 10-year period between 2005 and 2014, U.S. officials arrested 4,000 members of MS-13, 92 percent were in the United States illegally, according to data obtained by the Center for Immigration Studies.
In October 2012, the US Department of the Treasury labeled the group a “transnational criminal organization,” the first such designation for a US street gang.
2. 18th Street Gang or Barrio 18, or MS-18 in El Salvador
The 18th street gang originated around 1965 in Los Angeles and were originally a Mexican-American gang. At the current time, 18 street has become primarily a gang of illegal aliens in California where 80% of its members are from either Mexico or El Salvador. They are the largest street gang in California, and have spread throughout the United States, Mexico and Central America. Their bitter rivalry with MS-13 has led to countless homicides over the years in the U.S. and throughout Central America.
3. Barrio Azteca
Barrio Azteca formed in 1986 in an El Paso prison. They are a mixed gang of Mexican-American and illegal aliens from Mexico. They are extremely violent and are very active in the prison system in Mexico as well. They are aligned with La Linea which is the armed wing of the Juarez cartel and have carried out hits and kidnapping for them — both in the U.S. and in Mexico. Barrio Azteca gained notoriety when it was learned that they were using U.S. soldiers as hired assassins.
4. Border Brothers
The Border Brothers prison-based gang was founded in 1989 in Tijuana, Mexico. The gang later migrated across the border into the U.S. into San Diego and then into the California prison system. In 1990, they began recruiting other incarcerated Mexican illegal aliens and by 1994 the Border Brothers moved throughout California and Arizona. The Border Brothers later became one of the fastest growing gangs within the prison system. In the Arizona corrections system, they became the fastest growing security threat group (STG).
5. Partido Revolutionario Mexicano (PRM) aka Mexicles
The PRM (Partido Revolucionario Mexicano) aka Mexicles, is a prison-based gang which was founded in 1987 at the Cofield state prison in Texas. The gang was formed to unite all incarcerated Mexican illegal aliens for protection Mexican American (“Paisas”) and Black prison gangs. They have aligned themselves with the Border Brothers, another illegal alien prison gang based in California, Arizona and Mexico. The PRM primarily operates in Texas and Mexico.
Robert Arce is a retired Phoenix Police detective with extensive experience working Mexican organized crime and street gangs. Arce has worked in the Balkans, Iraq, Haiti, and recently completed a three-year assignment in Monterrey, Mexico, working out of the Consulate for the United States Department of State, International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Program, where he was the Regional Program Manager for northeast Mexico (Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, Durango, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas.)
Fake News: Associated Press Clarifies 17 U.S. Intel Agencies Did Not Assess Russia ‘Interference’
Following a similar statement released by the New York Times, the Associated Press on Friday clarified that three U.S. intelligence agencies – and not 17, as the news agency repeatedly reported – assessed that Russia attempted to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.
In stories published April 6, June 2, June 26 and June 29, The Associated Press reported that all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies have agreed that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump. That assessment was based on information collected by three agencies – the FBI, CIA and National Security Agency – and published by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which represents all U.S. intelligence agencies. Not all 17 intelligence agencies were involved in reaching the assessment.
At the time of the assessment, the FBI was led by James Comey, who was fired following controversy over his handling of Hillary Clinton’s email probe; and the CIA was headed by Barack Obama appointee John Brennan.
The third intelligence agency that made the assessment, the NSA, did not share the “high confidence” of the CIA and FBI in the conclusion of a January 6, 2017 U.S. Intelligence Community report alleging the Russian government sought to aid Donald Trump’s “election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him.”
The NSA only assessed that conclusion with a classification of “moderate confidence.” According to the Washington Post, the NSA’s lower confidence was issued because some of the most important technical intelligence used by the Obama administration to allege that Moscow interfered in the 2016 election came from another country.
Like the AP, scores of news media outlets have perpetuated the falsehood that 17 agencies representing the U.S. intelligence community concluded that Russia attempted to influence the presidential election.
While the U.S. Intelligence Community is indeed made up of 17 agencies, the actual report was the product of only three. Indeed, in his testimony in May, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper made clear the report’s conclusions were the product of those three agencies and not seventeen.
The false anti-Trump talking point was amplified last October, when Hillary Clinton stated the following at the third presidential debate: “We have 17, 17 intelligence agencies, civilian and military, who have all concluded that these espionage attacks, these cyber-attacks, come from the highest levels of the Kremlin. And they are designed to influence our election. I find that deeply disturbing.”
In an editor’s note issued on Thursday, the New York Times wrote that the Russia interference conclusion was drawn by “four intelligence agencies” – including Clapper’s Office of the Director of National Intelligence since it issued the January 6 report.

Lock Him Up! Corrupt IRS Commissioner In New Scandal After Aiding Illegals
1.4 million illegal aliens are working in the United States, using stolen Social Security numbers.
Government officials knew about it the whole time, including the IRS Commissioner who oversaw the illegal targeting of Obama opponents.
How did John Koskinen’s IRS actually help illegals pull off 1.4 million cases of identity theft, and will Congress finally impeach him?
The shocking statistic comes from a report released last week by the Treasury Department’s Inspector General for Tax Administration, which found that the IRS only identifies about half the cases involving illegals who have found work with stolen tax information.
Why only half?
Because when illegals find work using stolen Social Security Numbers, part of their paychecks are withheld for taxes, and the IRS isn’t in a hurry to give up that cash.
It seems that crime does pay – for the IRS.
“The IRS knows of 2.4 million people a year who file taxes using an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, which is generally given out to immigrants who aren’t authorized to work. But the IRS is not allowed to talk with Homeland Security to help agents identify who and where those taxpayers are,” The Washington Times reports.
“The migrants file their forms with their ITINs, but the W-2 forms they submit show valid Social Security numbers that they fraudulently gave to their employer to clear an initial work authorization check,” the Times reports.
In other words, those numbers are stolen. And the sheer amount of fraud is stunning.
Half of the forms filed on paper show fraud, along with a stunning 87 percent of forms filed online.
Even worse, the identity theft means whomever the social security number rightfully belongs to is overcharged for taxes.
The greedy IRS isn’t trying too hard to stop the illicit influx of tax dollars.
In all, it added up to 1.4 million cases of Americans having their identity stolen by illegals to secure jobs that file with the IRS.
It’s just the latest criminal scandal to rock the IRS under Commissioner John Koskinen, an Obama holdover.
Koskinen took office in 2013, after it was revealed the agency’s Exempt Organizations Division was illegally targeting conservative and Tea Party groups for harassment and illegal discrimination.
The division, responsible for processing non-profit organizations’ applications for tax-exempt status, would routinely single out for delays and denials the groups with conservative phrases or “Tea Party” in the title, at the behest of division director Lois Lerner.
In an especially notorious, and illegal, case, Judicial Watch reports Lerner held a secret meeting with Justice Department officials Richard Pilger, Jack Smith and Raymond Hulser to discuss the possibility of having Tea Party activists singled out, rounded up and arrested.
Pilger is Director of the Justice Department’s Election Crimes Division. Smith and Hulser are #1 and #2 officials in the Justice Department’s “Public Integrity Section,” which investigates and prosecutes elected officials.
These are top DOJ officials.
In that meeting, Lerner provided the trio with confidential taxpayer information on conservative activists, which is generally illegal.
That meeting was called in the final weeks of the 2010 elections, when it became apparent Tea Party conservatives were on track to win congressional seats.
An audit found that under Koskinen, illegal targeting is still ongoing.
He has refused to comply with subpoenas and orders for documents and information on that and other criminal activity.
Koskinen was the target of an impeachment resolution filed by Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT,) which was shot down by House Republican leaders.
The impeachment resolution notes Koskinen “failed to comply with a congressionally issued subpoena, documents were destroyed on his watch, and the public was consistently misled.”
“Impeachment is the appropriate tool to restore public confidence in the IRS and to protect the institutional interests of Congress,” the resolution reads.
It is unknown if this latest revelation of criminal activity within the IRS will convince Republican leaders to change course and finally impeach Koskinen.
