From one big body of water to the next, the host for the 9th Urban Sketchers International Symposium is a coastal city overlooking the Duoro River. Porto is one of the most ancient European cities. With a strong historical core, it is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes that lend it a dramatic setting. It has an abundance of sketch-worthy subjects, ranging from baroque churches, charming cobble-stoned streets, stately bridges and World Heritage UNESCO sites that definitely make this vibrant city an urban sketcher’s dream!

A strong presence since the Middle Ages, life in Porto is nothing but aged! Prepare for a lively city with an ever-changing and sparkling nightlife. Get ready for gastronomic delights of the global and coastal kind.  Look forward to an architectural feast of old and new monuments, museums and galleries.
