Newt Gingrich: Donald Trump One of the Smartest Presidents Ever

Discussing his new book, Understanding Trump, with Breitbart editor-in-chief Alex Marlow on Monday, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich explained why he believes Donald Trump is one of the smartest people ever to have served as President of the United States.
“What always surprises members of the elite is I believe he is one of three or four smartest people ever to be president,” Gingrich said, adding:
I think he’s in the same league as someone like Lincoln or Theodore Roosevelt … I also think he’s one of the most energetic since Roosevelt, which is why you get these tweets at five in the morning, when he wakes up he has too much energy. I think also he has an instinct for disruption comparable to Andrew Jackson… He is constantly looking for ways to fix things, to change things, to breakthrough.
Having served as an informal advisor to Trump throughout his presidential campaign, Gingrich’s new book, Understanding Trump, seeks to establish what propelled the former businessman to the most powerful job in the world, as well as presenting a blueprint for how he can successfully implement his agenda.
During the interview, Gingrich also described “the two sides of Trump” — one being the “very pugnacious, risk-taking, live in the moment kind of guy, very existential. He’s the one who tweets.”
“Then there’s this very serious, long-term, thoughtful, disciplined guy. I don’t know if he’s a Gemini, I think he is a Gemini. There’s a sense of twins who occupy this guy, and I think there’s a lot of stories in here that people will find very interesting.”

You Won’t Believe What Mad Dog Mattis Said About Putin
Donald Trump’s enemies will look for any Russia angle to try and derail his Presidency.
The media recently created firestorm about a second discussion Trump had with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 Summit.
So everyone was shocked when “Mad Dog” Mattis made his feelings known about their meeting.
Trump’s “meeting” with Putin consisted of him sitting next to the Russian President at a dinner table in full view of a room filled with 100 people including the media.
That didn’t stop multiple anchors on CNN from trying to paint the conversation as scandalous and labeling it as “secret.”
There were photographs and video of the encounter, so it was hardly a “secret.”
Other unhinged members of the media declared that this dinner table conversation was proof of Putin having compromising information on Trump.

The media knew the truth about the meeting.
But they hyped it up as “secret” so they could create a bad news cycle for Trump and harm his Presidency.
“Mad Dog” Mattis was correct to treat the fake news media coverage as the joke that it was.
Paul Ryan Betrayed Trump With These Comments About Robert Mueller
Donald Trump is fighting against a coup attempt to remove him from office.He has repeatedly blasted special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation as a witch hunt.
So Paul Ryan shocked everyone when he stabbed Trump in the back with his comments about Mueller.
Trump recently took to Twitter to point out the ridiculous nature of the Russia investigation and the lack of support he’s received from the Republican establishment.

But not everyone agreed.
Speaker Paul Ryan defended Mueller’s honor and did not back up his President from a politically motivated hit job.
Breitbart reports:
“Monday on WISN’s “The Jay Weber Show,” Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) defended special counsel Robert Mueller and his investigation into Russian election interference by saying Mueller was “anything but” a “biased partisan.”
A listener asked Ryan a question about why Republicans in Congress are not doing more to defend Trump against “what is becoming an obvious witch-hunt.”
Ryan replied, “Remember, Bob Mueller is a Republican, who was appointed by a Republican, who served in the Republican administration, and crossed over — I mean and stayed on until his term ended.”
He continued, “I don’t think many people are saying Bob Mueller is a person who is a biased partisan. He’s really, sort of, anything but.”
He added, “The point is, we have an investigation in the House, an investigation in the Senate, and a special counsel, which sort of de-politicizes this stuff and gets it out of the political theater, and that is, I think, better to get this off to the side. I think the facts will vindicate themselves, and then let’s just go do our jobs.”
Ryan showed more loyalty to the prosecutor tasked with destroying Trump than he did the President from his own party.
It was an unbelievable betrayal.
But Ryan is of the establishment.
He is an open borders globalist who favors mass migration and international trade deals.
It’s in his interest to see Trump and his nationalist brand of conservatism destroyed.
And apparently he is willing to give credibility to an investigative team stacked with big money Democrat donors who are gunning for Donald Trump.
North Korean State-Run Media Drops Subtle Hint About 2 U.S. Missile Targets
Over the past few months, North Korea has tested a large number of missiles, several of them successfully, and has increased the amount of anti-American bluster that it puts out over the airwaves.
Now, the Hermit Kingdom is at it again. This time, the rogue nation appears to have singled out Alaska and Hawaii when talking about its allegedly immense missile capabilities, The Daily Caller reported, citing the independent, privately owned NK News.
NK News reported that the North Korean, government-run propaganda organ Rodong Sinmun had specified to U.S. sites as possible targets, according to the Daily Caller.
“Hawaii, where the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) is stationed, and Alaska,” where part of the U.S. missile shield is based, are in range of North Korea’s missiles,” Rodong Sinmun wrote on Sunday.
This is most likely just more propaganda talk from the North Korean government, but given their new missile capabilities, it doesn’t hurt to take this threat seriously.
The intercontinental ballistic missile that North Korea successfully tested on July 3 is believed to be capable of hitting Alaska, though many experts are not sure that it could also reach Hawaii.
Newsweek reported that North Korea also responded to comments that were made by CIA Director Mike Pompeo that implied that the United State would like to see Kim Jong Un removed from power.
“Should the U.S. dare to show even the slightest sign of attempt to remove our supreme leadership, we will strike a merciless blow at the heart of the U.S. with our powerful nuclear hammer, honed and hardened over time,” a foreign ministry spokesman said, according to Newseek.
CNN reported that North Korea may be prepping for another missile test, possibly as early as July 27. It is possible this could be another ICBM test, which could further complicate matters.
If North Korea perfects its ability to strike the United States mainland with a missile, that severely limits our options when it comes to dealing with the North Koreans.
The Trump administration needs to take action against North Korea now, before all of our options are gone and we have no choice but to live with a nuclear armed rogue state.
Trump Makes Huge Move to Give American Oil And Gas Companies Easier Road to Drilling
The administration of President Donald Trump aims to help the oil and gas industries by cutting the amount of time it takes the Department of the Interior to process requests from oil and gas companies to drill on federal land.
Data from the Bureau of Land Management, an agency within the DOI, shows that during the first 7 years of former President Barack Obama’s tenure, the waiting time fluctuated from a low of 71 days in 2011 to a high of 104 days in 2015.
In a statement published earlier this month by the DOI, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke made it clear that these lengthy wait times were unacceptable.
“Oil and gas production on federal lands is an important source of revenue and job growth in rural America but it is hard to envision increased investment on federal lands when a federal permit can take the better part of a year or more in some cases,” he said.
Part of the strategy for reducing the waiting times will reportedly involve simply resolving a backlog of requests that totaled 2,802 as of Jan. 31 but may have risen or fallen since then.
Speaking Monday with Politico, Zinke added that the goal is to reduce waiting times “down to 30 days and to make all the processes as short as possible, but at the same time, making sure our environmental stewardship is not breached, all of which is completely doable,” according to The Daily Caller.
Keep in mind that the time it takes the Department of Interior to process requests represents only half of the process. The remaining time — which reached a high of 236 days in 2011 — involves “oil companies addressing ‘deficiencies’ in their permit application — though the Trump administration could streamline this process as well,” as noted by The Daily Caller.
Granted, the Trump administration has already done plenty thus far, including leasing more land than the Obama administration had leased during its first six months in office; and also raising more revenue as well. And in April the president signed an executive order that reversed his predecessor’s ban on Arctic drilling.
“This is just good government and will further support the President’s goal of American energy dominance,” Zinke concluded in his statement earlier in the month.

According to Breitbart, House Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Andy Biggs of Arizona and Matt Gaetz of Florida are launching a probe into former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s relationship with the FBI during its investigation of the Hillary Clinton email scandal.
In particular, the congressmen want to know more about former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony that Lynch had directed him to soft-pedal the probe by referring to it publicly as a “matter” rather than a “criminal investigation,” Breitbart reported.
The three have drafted a measure, according to Breitbart, that would “compel the production of documents and evidence” related to Lynch’s direction.

The whole ball of wax, in other words, when it comes to the non-stop assault on the Trump administration since before it even began. As welcome as it is for America, it could be very bad news for Comey, Lynch and other insiders from the Obama era — there could well be panic running through the swamp of D.C. when this starts getting traction.
Jordan and his colleagues haven’t introduced anything official into the House yet to authorize such digging, according to Breitbart. But when they do, House Republicans should be tripping over themselves to be the first to vote for it.

Let’s have a special counsel for that and see how serious Congressional Democrats are about getting to the truth.”
Well, we’re all pretty well aware of how serious congressional Democrats are about getting to the truth. They established that with an unending series of defensive moves and water-carrying for the Obama administration throughout the House investigations of scandals that would have destroyed a normal presidency.
Unfortunately for the American public, the mainstream media are about as interested in the truth as Democrats are. The same “fake news” outlets that are now attacking Trump on a daily basis pimped their principles for Barack Obama’s election and re-election.
They weren’t going to sully their hero with anything approaching real journalistic inquiry into the Obama White House’s abuse of American citizens.

STEVE BANNON PUSHING FOR 44 PERCENT MARGINAL TAX RATE ON THE VERY RICH

TOP WHITE HOUSE adviser Steve Bannon is pushing for tax reform to include a new 44 percent top marginal tax rate, hitting people who earn more than $5 million a year, with the revenue paying for tax cuts for the rest, according to three people who’ve spoken to him recently.
The top rate is now 39.6 percent and most Republicans have been planning to lower it significantly as part of tax reform. The plan Trump put out previously would have only three brackets, with the top one brought down to 35 percent.
Raising taxes on the very rich has been a rare policy that President Donald Trump has publicly espoused throughout much of his life. On Tuesday, he told the Wall Street Journal, “if there’s upward revision it’s going to be on high-income people.”
“I have wealthy friends that say to me, ‘I don’t mind paying more tax,’” he said. White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders was pressed on Trump’s comment at a televised briefing Wednesday, and said that further specifics of the plan would be released shortly, with an emphasis on tax cuts for the middle class.
Axios previously reported that Bannon was looking to raise the top marginal rate to “something with a four in front of it,” but the 44 percent bracket for those making $5 million and above is a more fleshed out proposal. Bannon has described himself as an “economic nationalist” and has pushed a populist agenda both through his previous outlet Breitbart News and and as an adviser to Trump. That contrasts with what Bannon calls the “globalist” wing of the party, made up by people like economic adviser Gary Cohn (though both Cohn and Bannon come from Goldman Sachs).
When the broad outline of the tax hike was reported earlier, Breitbart covered it favorably. The hike on the very rich would face stiff opposition from congressional Republicans, but find favor with Democrats.
According to IRS data, just over 43,000 people filed tax returns for the year 2014 claiming income of at least $5 million, accounting for $600 billion in taxes, or 8.8 percent of the total taxes paid.
The new rate would only apply to about a third of that money, as the 44 percent kicks in at the $5 million level. Still, the hike would pull in around $18 billion per year, or $180 billion over 10 years.
