EXCLUSIVE: Wasserman Schultz’ ‘Islamophobia’ Claim Prompts Angered Marine To Go Public On Awans
LUKE ROSIAK Investigative Reporter

Share
A Marine who provided key evidence in the FBI case against Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s former IT employee said he is appalled by her claim that Islamophobia led U.S. Capitol Police to frame the former staffer.
Andre Taggart alerted the FBI to damaged hard drives and a cache of electronics tied to Imran Awan, a former IT specialist for dozens of House Democrats. Awan is the central figure in a criminal investigation of suspected procurement fraud and violations of the congressional IT network, including diverting data to an off-site server.
The same day Taggart tipped the FBI, two of Imran Awan’s relatives went on the record to say they think he would do anything for money.

Taggart told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group Wednesday that “it was amazing” that Wasserman Schultz, a Florida Democrat, describes Imran as a victim of religious discrimination by law enforcement. Taggart rented the Northern Virginia home of Awan, who had frantically moved out after learning authorities were onto him.

“It pisses me off,” said Taggart, a black Marine who says he votes Democrat. He believes Wasserman Schultz is crying wolf and devaluing the meaning of genuine discrimination, while also exposing herself and the nation to risks.
Wasserman Schultz claimed Imran Awan is being “persecuted” by the Capitol Police and FBI after she was told that he is suspected of “data transfer violations,” even as she lamented the seriousness of the hacking of the Democratic National Committee. Wasserman Schultz was chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee when its IT network was hacked in 2016.
“I just want to get these [guys] locked up and exposed and now,” Taggart told TheDCNF. “The people who facilitated them should also be locked up, as far as I’m concerned.”

TheDCNF cited Taggart without naming him in a July report that the FBI had seized the hard drives and electronics. Imran attempted the next day to board a flight to Pakistan, but was arrested by the FBI at Dulles International Airport.

Taggart said he made the decision to no longer be anonymous because he is concerned that his fellow Democrats are making a grave mistake by ignoring a scandal with serious criminal and national security implications.

“I’m absolutely disgusted with everything going on in the country right now, mostly because of right-wing conservatives, but with respect to this situation, political affiliation is irrelevant,” Taggart said.

Imran Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, were indicted Aug. 17, 2017, on four charges related to sending money to Pakistan fraudulently in an apparent attempt to escape from a broader, ongoing investigation into cybersecurity and theft issues.

“Him, his wife, his brother, all working down there — there’s no way they could do this without help. If we can drag Trump and his wingnuts through the mud for the Russia influence that they are having, then it’s only fair that we also expose this s–t,” Taggart said.

After Imran Awan realized the hard drives and electronics had been left in the house he rented to Taggart, Awan threatened to sue him to get the equipment back. Awan also listed the house for sale shortly after signing a multi-year lease with Taggart, the latter said.

“They took advantage of us,” Taggart said, describing a series of financially aggressive and dishonest interactions he said he had with Imran.

Taggart said he believes the Awans would “do anything for money,” the same term others, including relatives, have used in describing the couple.

Wasserman Schultz has rejected concerns about Imran as “absurd” and “laughable,” even though he had access to all of her congressional emails and files, as well as her iPad password, is suspected by police of cybersecurity violations, and had long been accused of defrauding people for financial gain.

Also on Wednesday, an Awan relative, Syed Ahmed, told The Daily Mail that “for the sake of money they would have done anything… [Imran] might have been selling this information.”

Evidence suggests that the Awans were running a ghost employee scheme, collecting $6 million in salaries from taxpayers even though only a few of the six people on the House payroll actually performed IT work. Congressional offices signed off on those time-sheets for unknown reasons.

Imran Awan’s brother Abid operated a Virginia car dealership while being paid $160,000 annually working for multiple House Democrats. The dealership received $100,000 from an Iranian fugitive linked to Hezbollah, according to court records.

Amjad Khan, a former business partner, told the Daily Mail that “[Abid] would just go in [to the Hill] a couple times a week for a couple of hours, just to show his face. On paper, I think [Abid and Imran] were both working, but in reality only one was working, the other was running the [car] business.”

Khan added that “when he would go to D.C., [Abid] would spend $3,000 or $4,000 a night.”

Abid worked for New York Democratic Rep. Yvette Clarke during a time when $120,000 in IT equipment went missing from that office. Clarke’s chief of staff signed a form ensuring the missing equipment wouldn’t become a problem with congressional auditors. Clarke’s office did not tell police at the time the form was signed, and Abid remained employed for six more months.

Clarke and her staff repeatedly refused to explain, even though the money would have been enough to hire four staffers to provide services for her Brooklyn constituents.

Clarke fired Abid in September 2016 after House administrators told her they were auditing all finances connected to the Awans. Four months later, Capitol Police banned the brothers from the congressional IT network.

Trump Just Busted 6 Republican Traitors Taking Terrorist Cash – Here’s What They Were Moments From Doing To Him
By Prissy Holly

Ever since Trump got elected as president, there’s been no shortage of Republican traitors working behind the scenes to bring him down. We’ve all had our suspicions on who these traitors were, but now our theories have been finally confirmed after the damning document that was just leaked. But what makes matters even more disgusting, is that these 6 Republicans have been secretly plotting to remove Trump from office for months, passing intel through a Muslim Brotherhood operative.
Huma Abedin is a Muslim Brotherhood agent who has managed to gain access to our White House through her work as Hillary Clinton’s longtime aide. After Hillary’s humiliating loss to Trump for the presidency, Wikileaks is now exposing how the Hillary and Huma have been working in the shadows, involving some very powerful Republicans in an active coup to get Trump removed as president.
In a breaking document just released by Wikileaks, we’re now learning everything we need to know about the Republican traitors in Washington D.C. In the series of emails discovered on Huma Abedin’s computer, only identified document 1078645, it’s exposed how these 6 Republican traitors are not only working with Hillary to remove Trump from office, but are on her freaking payroll!
In the first email, it goes into detail about how funds were being funneled directly from Hillary’s campaign to line the pockets of the Super PACS of Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, and John Kasich in order to buy their alliance against Trump.
Excerpt from one of the emails of document 1078645:
“JB, CF, and JK PACS will be noticeably silent for the rest of the campaign. Each will receive a significant allowance from advertising budget. HRC is in the loop and has talked to all three personally. Eyes only.”
But it doesn’t end there. Other emails reveal how Hillary bought off other key members of the Republican Party by funneling funds from her Clinton Foundation directly to their bank accounts of 3 other traitors, including Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, Lindsey Graham, and known traitor John McCain.
Keep in mind that Hillary Clinton is owned by Saudi terrorists, so money flowing from the Clinton Foundations to these traitors is essentially money from terrorists. Not to mention Huma Abedin’s involvement with this, as a known Muslim Brotherhood operative.
Other emails that surfaced but do not refer to anything other than title have also surfaced that raised eyebrows It seems at a glance that the Clinton Foundation, or as I am calling it, the Pantsuit Mafia, has bought off several key members of the Republican Party to push the Clinton agenda. Such as:
“He is on board, will retract the invitation to speak. Eyes only.”
This email was dated days before Speaker of the House Paul Ryan withdrew the invitation to Donald Trump to speak at an event in Wisconsin. Even though we do not have the ‘smoking gun’ to say it was him, no other logical conclusion can be assumed.
Other emails hint at the money being moved to Republican elected officials in the House and Senate. For instance FEC reports shows that two large donations from PACS and private sources in early October went to John McCain right after he attacked Trump publicly criticized Trump. That happened shortly after a slew of emails concerning moving money to support one candidate and move support from another.
Shortly thereafter, his challenger in this tight race, Kirkpatrick, lost several key donors and money and support lessened from the DNC and the DSCC in the last few weeks of the race. The thing to note is that McCain is one of the lead sponsors of a committee to investigate any Russian influence into the election.
Senator Lindsay Graham, another outspoken critic of Donald Trump and briefly candidate for President from July to December also it seems received help from the Clintons. An email that simply states, “Cleared the road for him in 2020,” could mean that there will be no strong or supported Democrat in the South Carolina Senate race when Graham is up for re-election.
As with McCain, Graham has publicly called for a look into the Russian influence in the election.
This is not just some type of petty revenge against Trump, but this is all-out treason. These representatives are acting in their own best interests, ignoring their oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. Subversion of a sitting president by attempting to overthrow the United States government is a serious federal crime as spelled out in 18 U.S. Code § 2385, and is punishable by 20 years in prison.
This treason on the part of these 6 traitors explains the ongoing gridlock in D.C. with the inability to do simple things like repeal Obamacare and securing the funds necessary to build President Trump’s wall.
Help expose traitors Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, John Kasich, Paul Ryan, Lindsey Graham, and John McCain by sharing this story! They are ALL part of the Clinton machine and need to be removed from office immediately! They’ve literally sold the American people down the river in order to satisfy their unquenchable thirst for power!

White House fires back at Bob Corker

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders fired back at Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tennessee, who last week said Trump hasn't demonstrated the "stability" or "competence" he needs to display as president.
"I think that's a ridiculous and outrageous claim that doesn't dignify a response from this podium," Sanders said Thursday, in the White House's first response to the comments.
Corker, who is the chairman of the Senate foreign relations committee, was among the Republicans who leveled biting criticism in the wake of Trump's much-criticized response to the violent protests that broke out after white supremacists rallied in Charlottesville, Virginia.
"The President has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability nor some of the competence that he needs to demonstrate in order to be successful," Corker said last Thursday. "He has not demonstrated that he understands what has made this nation great and what it is today, and he's got to demonstrate the characteristics of a president who understands that."

The criticism was particularly striking coming from Corker, a one-time Trump ally whom the President considered as a candidate for secretary of state.
Corker leveled his criticism alongside several other Republicans who slammed Trump's initial response to Charlottesville, when Trump failed to condemn white supremacists and neo-Nazis by name and instead blamed "many sides" for the violence.
Trump drew additional fire from his side of the aisle after he defended his initial response to Charlottesville in remarks days later, in which he argued that there were "fine people" among the white supremacists rallying in Charlottesville.
The fight between Corker and the White House pressed forward on the same day Trump continued to level attacks against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
The two men have not spoken in more than two weeks and the relationship has sunk to new lows as Congress prepares to return to Washington to tackle a slew of critical legislative issues and priorities on the Republican agenda.

Reports: Globalists in White House Oppose Trump’s Border Wall, Reforms

border wall
The “West Wing Democrats” in the White House are eager to sacrifice President Donald Trump’s top campaign promise in exchange for Democratic approval of the tax cuts sought by wealthy donors and business interests, according to an article in Politico.
In an August 23 article about Trump’s push to get funding for an extended border wall, Politico described the lack of support for the wall among his business-affiliated aides:
Few staff members in the West Wing are as concerned about it [as the President], senior administration officials said.
Some in the White House have urged Trump not to focus as much on the wall, try to pass a clean debt-ceiling bill and move to tax reform. “You have barely anyone here saying, ‘Wall, wall, we have to get the wall at all costs,’” one White House official said.

Two people who have spoken to Trump said he sees not building the wall as a personal embarrassment — and that he has shown more interest in building the wall than in other issues, like the upcoming budget negotiations. “You don’t want a government shutdown,” the White House official said. “He is told that. He says, ‘I want money for the wall.’”
The same emphasis on tax cuts for the elite before immigration reform for voters was also cited by Axios on August 20, in an article which claimed to explain why top staff chose to stay in the White House amid elite hatred of his populist, wage-boosting, pro-American priorities. Axios reported:
We talked to a half dozen senior administration officials, who range from dismayed but certain to stay, to disgusted and likely soon to leave. They all work closely with Trump and his senior team so, of course, wouldn’t talk on the record. Instead, they agreed to let us distill their thinking/rationale:
“You have no idea how much crazy stuff we kill”: The most common response centers on the urgent importance of having smart, sane people around Trump to fight his worst impulses. If they weren’t there, they say, we would have a trade war with China, massive deportations, and a government shutdown to force construction of a Southern wall.
“General Mattis needs us”: Many talk about their reluctance to bolt on their friends and colleagues who are fighting the good fight to force better Trump behavior/decisions. They rightly point out that together, they have learned how to ignore Trump’s rhetoric and, at times, collectively steer him to more conventional policy responses.
This situation leaves Trump dependent on a few aides — such as immigration reformer Steve Miller — and his supporters at his rallies to help fend off the insistent demands by his globalist aides for a back-room surrender of his presidential goals.
That surrender would help his aides win Democratic support for their goals — but it would leave Trump with few friends heading into the 2018 midterm elections and the crucial 2020 reelection, says D.C. insiders. For example, the pro-American immigration reformers who backed Trump in the election fear his globalist aides will push Trump to accept and establish former President Barack Obama’s DACA amnesty in exchange for minor concessions, such as a modest amount of funds to build a short distance of border wall.
“If [Trump’s aides] are left to their own devices, they would exchange this for a few trinkets,” so violating Trump’s campaign promise before the 2018 and 2020 elections, said Ira Mehlman, a spokesman for FAIR, the Federation for American Immigration Reform.
The suggested deal was outlined in a Tuesday article by Anita Kumar, a reporter for the McClatchy news service. She uses the Democrats’ term — ‘dreamers’ – to describe the 800,000 DACA illegals as she wrote:
White House officials want Trump to strike an ambitious deal with Congress that offers Dreamers protection in exchange for legislation that pays for a border wall and more detention facilities, curbs legal immigration and implements E-verify, an online system that allows businesses to check immigration status, according to a half-dozen people familiar with situation, most involved with the negotiations.
The group includes former and current White House chiefs of staff, Reince Priebus and John Kelly, the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner, who both serve as presidential advisers, they said. Others who have not been as vocal publicly about their stance but are thought to agree include Vice President Mike Pence, who as a congressman worked on a failed immigration deal that called for citizenship, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster and Gary Cohn, a Democrat who serves as director of the National Economic Council.
There is no evidence that Democrats will accept that ambitious deal before the 2018 election, and much evidence that Trump’s aides will quickly give up wall funding and the popular RAISE Act to win Democratic support for tax cuts. So far, top Democrats have responded that they would not offer anything as they demand a permanent DACA amnesty.
However, Trump’s determination to resist his aides is likely boosted by the cheering he gets at rallies when he promises to build the wall.
“We are building a wall on the southern border, which is absolutely necessary,” he told roughly 30,000 cheering supporters at an August 22 rally in Phoenix, Ariz. “The obstructionist Democrats would like us not to do it, believe me, [but] if we have to close down our government, we are building that wall … We’re going to have our wall. We’re going to get our wall.”
There you have it, @realDonaldTrump! Your own 30k focus-group. LIKE: deportations, a wall, jobs; DON'T LIKE: Media, Afghan War & tax cuts.
Trump later thanked the crowd.
Phoenix crowd last night was amazing - a packed house. I love the Great State of Arizona. Not a fan of Jeff Flake, weak on crime & border!
Read the Axios article here, and the Politico article here.
Under current immigration policy, the federal government accepts 1 million legal immigrants each year, even though 4 million young Americans enter the workforce to look for decent jobs. Each year, the government also hands out almost 3 million short-term work permits to foreign workers. These permits include roughly 330,000 one-year OPT permits for foreign graduates of U.S. colleges, roughly 200,000 three-year H-1B visas for foreign white-collar professionals, and 400,000 two-year permits to DACA illegals.
The current annual flood of foreign labor spikes profits and Wall Street values by cutting salaries for manual and skilled labor offered by blue-collar and white-collar employees. It also drives up real estate prices, widens wealth-gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, hurts kids’ schools and college education, pushes Americans away from high-tech careers, and sidelines at least 5 million marginalized Americans and their families.
Many polls show that Americans are very generous, they do welcome individual immigrants, and they do want to like the idea of immigration. But the polls also show that most Americans are increasingly worried that large-scale legal immigration will change their country and disadvantage themselves and their children. Trump’s “Buy American, Hire American” policies are also extremely popular, including among Democratic-leaning voters.

Report: Military Action Imminent After Truth Behind USS John McCain Devastation Surfaces

A new report indicates that the U.S. Navy is investigating hacking as a possible cause of the collision between the destroyer USS John McCain and a Liberian tanker vessel, according to the New York Post.
In spite of the investigation, a Navy official told Fox News on Tuesday that hacking played “no role” in the Monday accident, which occurred in the Strait of Malacca between Malaysia and Indonesia.
However, given a spate of recent incidents involving Navy ships, with four major incidents this year, the truth is, the military has no choice but to take action: An investigation has been launched into any possible sabotage of the Navy’s ships.
“That’s certainly something we are giving full consideration to but we have no indication that that’s the case — yet,” Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson said at a Pentagon press briefing Monday, according to the Washington Free Beacon. “But, we’re looking at every possibility, so we’re not leaving anything to chance.”
“We’ll take a look at all of that, as we did with the Fitzgerald,” Richardson added, referencing the June collision of the USS Fitzgerald with a container ship off of the Japanese coast. That accident claimed the lives of seven sailors; 10 remain missing from Monday’s collision, although the military has said that “some remains” of the missing sailors have been found.
Richardson added via Twitter that there were “no indications” of “cyber intrusion or hacking,” but that the Navy would review “all possibilities.”
While the Navy was saying publicly that there was “no role” played by hacking, experts weren’t so sure.
“There’s something more than just human error going on because there would have been a lot of humans to be checks and balances,” Jeff Stutzman, the chief intelligence officer at Wapack Labs, told McClatchy.
“When you are going through the Strait of Malacca, you can’t tell me that a Navy destroyer doesn’t have a full navigation team going with full lookouts on every wing and extra people on radar.”
If Stutzman is right, the collision of the McCain could be a serious flashpoint. If a review finds out that our ships are not only vulnerable to hacking but have been hacked by a state or terrorist actor, it would be tantamount to an act of war.

And if that turns out to be the truth, the action the military is taking so far is only the beginning.

Hillary Called Trump “Creep,” But Look What Cameras Caught Beforehand

Just like a typical, entitled liberal feminist, failed 2016 Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton apparently has no clue what it means for a man to be a “creep,” which is ironic given that she’s married to a man who’s been accused by countless women of sexual harassment and even assault.
In her estimate, then-GOP nominee Donald Trump sauntering behind her during the presidential debate on Oct. 9 made him a creep.
“‘This is not OK,’ I thought,” she whines in her forthcoming memoir, “What Happened,” according to Breitbart. “It was the second presidential debate, and Donald Trump was looming behind me … My skin crawled. It was one of those moments where you wish you could hit pause and ask everyone watching, ‘Well, what would you do?'”
I would stop acting like an overly sensitive, entitled brat who cannot handle a man simply standing behind her — except of course for when it’s her (alleged) rapist husband (see the pic below snapped early last year at a rally in Iowa):
“Do you stay calm, keep smiling, and carry on as if he weren’t repeatedly invading your space?” she continued. “Or do you turn, look him in the eye, and say loudly and clearly, ‘Backup, you creep. Get away from me. I know you love to intimidate women, but you can’t intimidate me. So back up.'”
Actually, Trump’s former female employees found him to be very nurturing and supportive, versus mean and intimidating, but when has Clinton ever cared about the truth?
From threatening one of her husband’s accusers to yelling at people like a maniac, Hillary Clinton has demonstrated time and time again that she’s the real creep. And so is her husband.
Even creepier still is how Clinton has chosen to stand by her husband this whole time, and all just so she could rise up the political ladder and one day be president. Apparently, nobody ever told her the age-old axiom that creeps never prosper.
Now watch the video below of Trump standing behind Clinton during the debate last year, and let me know in the comments section if you find anything intimidating or inappropriate about it:
Sorry, but I see nothing remotely creepy about Trump and his demeanor. The irony is that not only can I not say the same about Clinton’s husband, but I can’t say the same about her either.

Left Commonly Cites Disputed Allegation to Tarnish a Founding Father

Historian says, 'It hasn't been proven' that America's third president had relationship with Sally Hemings

  • As left-wing activists target statutes of Confederate soldiers, Supreme Court justices, and even Christopher Columbus, some on the extreme Left have set their sights on Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence and third president of the United States.

But one of the most commonly cited allegations about Jefferson, that he fathered six children with a slave that he owned, Sally Hemings, is the subject of ongoing scholarly debate and is far from settled history. Many who’ve studied all of the available evidence believe it’s very unlikely.

"Even if I didn't like him, I'd be outraged at the treatment he's received," Bob Turner, a law professor at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, told LifeZette this week.

Turner chaired a commission of scholars that found that the DNA evidence, taken together with all of other available evidence, had failed to prove that Jefferson had conclusively fathered one child with Hemings or any other slave, much less six.

The main piece of evidence is the DNA tests that were conducted in 1998 by a pathologist named Dr. Eugene Foster. Thomas Jefferson's DNA was not tested, and neither was that of Jefferson's descendants, as he had no sons from his marriage to Martha Wayles and therefore no direct, male-line DNA to test. Rather, the DNA used was from known descendants of Thomas Jefferson's uncle, Field Jefferson, the brother of his father.

DNA tests were also done on descendants of Eston Hemings, Sally Hemings' youngest child, and on descendants of her oldest son, Thomas Woodson.

The initial news release that was issued following the tests, which were done in England in 1998, said that there was a near 100 percent certainty that Thomas Jefferson was the father of Eston. But the lead researcher on the study later retracted the claim, saying the results only showed a one-in-eight probability that Jefferson was the father of Eston.

It has emerged and been documented that there were 25 male Jeffersons in the area at the time who could have been possible DNA matches, and, upon closer study, that there were eight who might have fathered Hemings' children, given that they lived close to Monticello and were known to have visited.

The Thomas Jefferson Heritage Society noted in its report that there is no record anywhere of anyone witnessing any evidence of a relationship between Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings.

"We do not believe that that relationship has ever been established in any definitive or evidentiary way," said Richard Dixon, a retired lawyer who helped found the society, saying he thinks some people started out with the idea that there'd been a relationship between the two — and made the evidence fit.

"From an evidentiary standpoint, there's no proof of it. It's just an allegation," he said.

The DNA test on the descendants of Thomas Woodson, who was reportedly conceived in Paris, where his mother, Sally Hemings, lived with Thomas Jefferson and his daughters while Jefferson was serving as an envoy to France, turned out to show that Woodson was not related to any of the Jeffersons.

The Thomas Jefferson Foundation, a private corporation that owns and operates Monticello, the estate of Thomas Jefferson, has asserted that Thomas Jefferson was the father of all six of the Hemings children.

But reading through the foundation's 2000 report, one sees an acknowledgement that the DNA didn't implicate Thomas Jefferson directly.

"This study by itself does not establish that [Eston] Hemings' father was Thomas Jefferson, only that Hemings' father was a Jefferson," it said.

It also acknowledges that DNA testing on Thomas Woodson's descendants showed that Woodson was not related to Jefferson.

Yet it concludes that Thomas Jefferson was the father of all six of Sally Hemings' children.

How? By concluding that Thomas Woodson must not have been the son of Sally Hemings at all, and may not even have existed.

When contacted by LifeZette, a spokeswoman for the foundation said that oral history and other evidence had factored into the finding.

Another piece of evidence presented by the foundation deals with Thomas Jefferson's presence at Monticello during the times that Sally Hemings become pregnant.

"It's not true," says Turner. "There are several cases when Thomas Jefferson is not there during the entire period of conception."

Another issue with trying to peg conception to Jefferson's presence at Monticello is that when he was there, so was everybody else.

"What we know is, Jefferson kept Monticello locked up when he was away," said Turner.

But when Jefferson was at Monticello, that's when people came to visit, and, after he became president, there were up to 50 visitors at a time at Monticello.

"With all these people there, there is not one record of anyone saying they saw Thomas Jefferson sneaking out in the night, or Sally sneaking in. It just doesn't work," he says.

Turner points to the person he believes more likely fathered the Hemings children.

"The only person we've found who fits all of the available evidence was Jefferson's much younger and mentally challenged brother, Randolph," says Turner.

Randolph, 12 years younger than Thomas, was known as "Uncle Randolph" after the death of Thomas Jefferson, when Jefferson's daughter, Martha, was left in charge of the estate, given that he was Martha's uncle.

This would match what The New York Times reported about what the descendants of Eston Hemings believed. A female descendant of Eston Hemings, when reached by The Times in the late '90s after the DNA test results, said she was surprised to be told she was descended from Thomas Jefferson (as the Times reporter told her she was) given that she and other family members were always told they were descended from an uncle of Jefferson.

"He's the only one who really fits all the evidence," says Turner of Randolph.

"He would make the short [trip] there [to Monticello] of less than 20 miles, and spend several weeks usually. This was common."

Randolph, unlike Jefferson, was known to socialize with slaves, spending time outside their quarters, playing the fiddle. And he was also known for his rather loose morals, in contrast to his older brother.

The president of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, Leslie Greene Bowman, was out of the country this week and not able to be reached, but a spokeswoman said, when asked by LifeZette, that "It's the evidence taken as a whole" that led the foundation to the conclusion of Thomas Jefferson's guilt.

The Thomas Jefferson Heritage Society disagrees.

"It's a shame they've pushed it this far," says Dixon.

Docents at Monticello showcase for visitors that they believe Jefferson was a hypocrite for writing that all men are created equal when he was copulating with a slave.

The visitor's center at Monticello is now also divided in two, with one half devoted to the Hemings and the other half to the Jeffersons.

The calcification of the allegation has led young liberals to increasingly demand Jefferson be shut out of campus life at the university the third president founded.

University of Virginia students last year wrote a letter to Teresa Sullivan, the president of the University of Virginia, which Jefferson founded, asking her to refrain from quoting Thomas Jefferson. The letter got almost 500 signatures.

The Huffington Post published an article this week calling Thomas Jefferson a rapist in the opening sentence.

"That's the kind of thing that comes out of this when you're just beating somebody up," said Dixon.

G’ day…Ciao…
