You’ll Never Believe Who Just Emerged As The Biggest Threat To Trump’s Presidency
Donald Trump is facing threats on all sides.
Many of the conspirators against him are well known.
But no one saw the biggest threat coming and you’ll never believe who it is.
In a Presidential administration, personnel is policy.
Presidents need loyal staffers throughout government to carry out their directives and implement their agenda.
They also depend on an honest flow of information to help guide their decisions.
This is where Trump is in grave danger.
National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster is firing Trump loyalists on the National Security Council and replacing them with establishment hacks.
Politico reports:
“NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER H.R. MCMASTER HAS PUSHED OUT A TOP WHITE HOUSE INTELLIGENCE AIDE WHO EARLIER THIS YEAR SECRETLY SHARED INFORMATION WITH A REPUBLICAN LAWMAKER INVESTIGATING TIES BETWEEN THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN AND RUSSIA.
THE DISMISSAL OF EZRA COHEN-WATNICK, CONFIRMED BY THE WHITE HOUSE, IS THE LATEST IN A STRING OF NSC STAFF MEMBERS REMOVED AT THE BEHEST OF MCMASTER, WHO HAS STEADILY SHED AIDES THAT HAD BEEN BROUGHT ON BY HIS SHORT-LIVED PREDECESSOR MICHAEL FLYNN.
COHEN-WATNICK, 31, WAS ONE OF THE FEW REMAINING AIDES IN THE ORGANIZATION HIRED BY FLYNN, WHO WAS FIRED IN FEBRUARY. SINCE HIS ARRIVAL MCMASTER HAS HAD A HAND IN STEADILY CLEANING OUT OUT SEVERAL OF FLYNN’S MARQUEE HIRES – THREE OF THEM IN THE PAST THREE WEEKS.
“GENERAL MCMASTER APPRECIATES THE GOOD WORK ACCOMPLISHED IN THE NSC’S INTELLIGENCE DIRECTORATE UNDER EZRA COHEN’S LEADERSHIP,” A WHITE HOUSE OFFICIAL SAID IN A STATEMENT CIRCULATED VIA POOL REPORT. “HE HAS DETERMINED THAT, AT THIS TIME, A DIFFERENT SET OF EXPERIENCES IS BEST-SUITED TO CARRYING THAT WORK FORWARD. GENERAL MCMASTER IS CONFIDENT THAT EZRA WILL MAKE MANY FURTHER SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO NATIONAL SECURITY IN ANOTHER POSITION IN THE ADMINISTRATION.”
Cohen-Watnick was a Trump supporter and loyalist.
He heroically alerted House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes to the fact that the Obama administration was unmasking Trump officials caught up in surveillance for political gain.
His reward was termination by the establishment minded McMaster.
Cohen-Watnick was the latest casualty in McMaster’s crusade to purge America First loyalists from the National Security Council.
The Weekly Standard reports he is on a mission to eliminate Steve Bannon’s influence on the NSC and reassert the establishment’s grip on foreign policy:
“THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST CHANGE. LAST WEEK, MCMASTER FIRED DEREK HARVEY, THE NSC’S TOP MIDDLE EAST ADVISER. HARVEY WAS PERCEIVED AS TOO CLOSE TO BANNON BY SOME WHITE HOUSE AIDES, AND SECRETARY OF DEFENSE JAMES MATTIS HAD DISAGREED WITH HARVEY AT TIMES.
AND ANOTHER BANNON ACOLYTE, RICH HIGGINS, WAS GIVEN THE BOOT ON JULY 21, AS ROSIE GRAY AT THE ATLANTIC FIRST REPORTED ON WEDNESDAY. (THIS WAS BEFORE THE ARRIVAL OF KELLY AS CHIEF OF STAFF.) HIGGINS, A FORMER PENTAGON AIDE, WROTE AND CIRCULATED A MEMO CHARGING THE “DEEP STATE,” “GLOBALISTS,” AND “BANKERS” WITH ALIGNING WITH “ISLAMISTS” AGAINST THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION.”
These moves come in the wake of Trump rejecting McMaster’s plan to escalate the war in Afghanistan by increasing the number of American troops.
Trump has questioned why after 16 years America is still at war in Afghanistan.
He campaigned on rejecting the interventionist foreign policy of the past 16 years and has tried to put his America First foreign policy into place.
His nationalist foreign policy played a large part in winning the election.
But the Washington establishment is not going to take “no” for an answer.
Now critics argue McMaster is working on behalf of the establishment to sabotage Trump’s foreign policy by purging his most loyal allies from the administration.
Not only will this eliminate voices advocating for Trump’s agenda, but it will allow McMaster to control the flow of information to the President on national security matters.
Why is Canada Spending $97 Million Funding Abortions in Africa?
MIKE SCHOUTEN
Canada’s Minister of International Development, Marie-Claude Bibeau, recently announced $97 million in funding for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in line with Canada’s “Feminist International Assistance Policy”.
This funding comes in the context of 20 years of violent internal conflicts in the DRC. Currently, their president is 6 months past the expiration of his term and refuses to call an election. Aggressors in Congo’s wars use sexual assault to terrorize women and their communities. In a 2013-2014 survey, more than half of DRC women reported experiencing physical violence and over a quarter reported experiencing sexual violence.
The DRC lacks the ability to provide proper health care services, and 14% of woman reportedly suffer from chronic undernutrition. The DRC reports 846 maternal deaths per 100,000 lives births, more than double neighbouring Tanzania and over 100 times higher than Canada.
The need is great and Canada could certainly help – which is the aim of the $97 million. Canada’s funding has four objectives: protecting children working in mines, providing humanitarian assistance, empowering women to promote economic growth, and increasing access to “sexual and reproductive health services”.
But Canada’s international funding is skewed towards one issue: abortion. Minister Bibeau says Canada is mainly “interested in the abortion part” of the plan to help the DRC – even though abortion is illegal in the DRC and, as Bibeau admits, the Congolese do not want abortion to be legalized.

Increasing access to abortion is, also, an essential part of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy. This policy is foreign aid with a feminist lens – the idea is that helping women and improving gender equality will benefit everyone.
However, Minister Bibeau’s concept of feminism is inextricably tied to abortion. Abortion is no subtle theme, as the policy says: “Women’s rights are human rights. This includes sexual and reproductive rights—and the right to access safe and legal abortions. These rights are at the core of our foreign policy.” The government has been transparent on this issue. The core of its effort to help women internationally is to ensure abortions are available.
The Policy bemoans other countries’ “mix of discriminatory laws and policies, coupled with inadequate services and harmful cultural practices” that restrict access to abortion. To combat other cultures’ supposedly backwards policies, Canada has pledged $650 million to increase access “to a full range of health services”, including abortion, around the world.
Much of Africa, including the DRC, is pro-life, with abortion being illegal in 90% of African countries. In such countries, Canadian aid money goes to “removing judicial and legal barriers” to abortion, according to the Globe and Mail. In other words, we’re funding lobbying efforts to allow abortion.
Does the Democratic Republic of Congo need our help? Yes. Canada could send money to put food on tables, finance local women in entrepreneurial endeavors, or aid local organizations who work with DRC children. We could help to improve their health care system, making it safer for women to have children.
Instead, valuable funds go to pushing an abortion-focused, feminist political and ideological agenda on a country that does not want it, with a result of both offending Africans and dividing Canadians.
Mutiny on the Potomac
Jeff Crouere
The world is witnessing a political mutiny that is unprecedented in the annals of American history. Donald Trump was duly and overwhelmingly elected President of the United States on Tuesday November 8, 2016. He received the votes of almost 63 million Americans, the highest total ever for a Republican Party presidential candidate. Through a remarkably targeted campaign, he won electoral votes in 31 states, destroying his opponent in the Electoral College. For any other President, his opponents would have given him a “honeymoon,” and allowed his administration to get started and implement his agenda.
Unfortunately, these traditional American political norms do not apply to Donald Trump. Despite his legitimate victory, Trump has been the subject of an unrelenting and unparalleled number of deceitful attacks from his disgruntled opponents. Immediately after his victory, a sinister network of deep state operatives, Obama holdovers in the bureaucracy, “Never Trump” Republicans, Democrats, and biased liberals in the media joined forces to achieve one goal, overturning the election results.
The reason this corrupt cabal is trying to invalidate the will of the American people is that President Trump’s agenda is a severe threat to their livelihoods. The “sultans of the status quo” view the President’s plan to put “America First” and “Drain the Swamp,” as a call to political arms and a battle for their survival.
To protect their power, Trump’s many opponents have tried everything from challenging the presidential vote totals in certain states to intimidating the members of the Electoral College. When that failed, the next step has been to manufacture the “Russian collusion” nonsense, which has led to the precarious situation which exists today.
Sadly, the Attorney General Jeff Sessions made the horrible mistake of recusing himself from the investigation, which set in motion the process that created the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, who is trying to find a crime to tie to President Trump. There is nothing in in the “Russian collusion” story, so Mueller is now scrutinizing the complicated financial dealings of the President and his business empire.
Although the President has expressed his displeasure with this “witch hunt,” if he attempts to fire Mueller, Congress will try to impeach him. According to Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), “any effort to go after Mueller could be the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency.” With Republican “friends” like Graham, the President certainly does not need enemies. To bolster his threat, Graham is working on legislation to prevent the President from firing Mueller without “judicial review.”
The actions of Graham and several other GOP Senators illustrate how the Republican led Senate has abandoned President Trump. For example, the Senate, along with the House, overwhelmingly passed a bill imposing sanctions on Russia and preventing the President from easing them. It is the equivalent of Congress usurping presidential authority and since he has few Capitol Hill allies, the President was forced to sign the bill. A veto would have surely been overturned in an embarrassing display of presidential weakness.
Although Obamacare has been an unmitigated disaster and Republicans in both houses of Congress have promised for eight years to offer relief to the American people and “repeal and replace” it, Senators left for a month-long recess without taking needed action. The President exhorted Republican Senators to pass a bill before leaving for an undeserved vacation, but they ignored his protests and scurried out of D.C. anyway. The major promises of the Trump agenda such as healthcare reform, tax cuts, infrastructure spending and building a border wall are now in total jeopardy.
One of the chief problems has been the lack of support for President Trump in the Republican led Congress. These turncoats are working with Democrats to not only stop the Trump agenda, but also to empower and protect Robert Mueller.
If congressional Republicans cared about the agenda of President Trump and his 63 million supporters, they would be doing something to investigate the misdeeds of the former administration, Hillary Clinton and the unprecedented number of leaks coming from moles within massive federal bureaucracy. President Trump has been battered by 126 leaks in the first 125 days of his administration. The latest embarrassment involved the leaking of transcripts of his conversations with the leaders of Mexico and Australia. These leaks are undoubtedly federal crimes, which should be investigated by both the Justice Department and Congress, but it seems all the focus is on the “Russian collusion” conspiracy.
This administration faces threats on many sides, but the most severe danger comes from the Special Counsel. Over the last few weeks, Mueller has assembled a Democratic Party dream team of 16 attorneys, including eight who gave contributions to liberal candidates such as Hillary Clinton. Mueller is also compromised because he has close ties to former FBI Director James Comey, who clearly engineered the investigation by leaking his infamous memos.
In any other administration, Mueller would be fired, but President Trump’s hands are tied. If he fires Mueller, he will be impeached and the resulting firestorm will make Watergate look like a day at the park.
As President Trump watches Mueller expand his staff and his mission and impanel a grand jury, he is surely asking himself why he wanted this job in the first place. Along with his attorneys, his family and his “deplorable” base of supporters, President Trump is alone in a sea of killer sharks working overtime to deliver a political death blow.
At this point, it is reassuring to know that a Bible study has been started in the White House. Prayers may be the only thing that can save President Trump as his legions of enemies conspire to destroy him. The mutiny on the Potomac has begun, and the fate of the captain of our ship, President Trump, hangs in the balance.

DRAINING THE SWAMP IS MESSY!
Title: Draining the Swamp is Messy. May 14, 2017 By Michael Master (author of Save America Now, Rules for Conservatives, The Birth Famine)
Our home is in a community of 2,000 homes located on the intercoastal in North Carolina. Everything lives here: Alligators. Water moccasins. Rattle snakes. Sea hawks. Egrets. Giant blue heron. Mosquitoes… blood sucking mosquitoes. We’ve watched from our back porch as dolphins chased sail boats and motor boats up the intercostal and watched the moon rise over the ocean to cast its glow over the intercoastal.
When the community decided to drain the swamp in the center of the community, it was a big deal. Draining the swamp was messy. The swamp was about 10 football fields, about 6 feet deep, with lots of creatures living in it. It was a dangerous swamp. Not one that you would walk or swim. You would not dare sit next to it in the dark of a moonless night. If not the snakes, then the mosquitoes would eat you alive.
As the water level decreased, the creatures were exposed. As the water level disappeared, all that was left was 3 feet of yucky black mud and the roots to dying cypress trees. The fish, snakes, frogs, rats, and birds were all stranded in the yucky mud.
Those creatures of the swamp fought for their lives as the swamp disappeared. The fish flopped around in the black mud looking for some water for life. The frogs croaked incessantly all night while their young pollywogs were stranded lifeless at the top of the black mud. Snakes slithered in every direction in the black mud in search of food. The rats that live in hollows all along the water abandoned their nests while the birds that feed off the swamp creatures also abandoned the area.
Finally, the mud dried out. No more snakes. No more rats. No more fish. No more frogs. No more mosquitoes. And no more birds that feed off those creatures of the swamp.
That same thing is happening to the political swamp in America. Trump is draining the swamp. His picks for his cabinet are all swamp drainers. Yeah, 3 are from Goldman Sachs. 3 of 23. Practically all of his cabinet have executive experience (military, or government, or private sector) . . . and it is the executive branch, now isn't it?
The mud is becoming visible as all the creatures who live in the swamp are fighting for their lives. Government employees at the IRS, EPA, and Education are flapping in the mud like dying fish. The lobbyists are slithering here and there looking for government funds like the snakes in the mud ... especially those who wrote Obamacare. The liberal media cartel is chirping and croaking all the time like frogs trying to reverse the draining. The tax and spend politicians are dying off like the blood-sucking mosquitoes. The political appointees of Obama are fleeing DC for other jobs like the birds who lost their meal tickets. And the information leakers, like Comey and Lynch, are looking for new places to nest like the rats that left the swamp. Soon, all that will remain will be the dying institutions like public education as the dying cypress trees of our society.
Everyone who lived off the swamp is praying for rain. Election rain so Democrats might win some elections from Republicans since the Democrats suffered such horrible defeats during the 8 years of Obama. Impeachment rain so the professional politicians can get rid of Trump as the swamp drainer. Low approval rating rain so the media can claim they were correct about Trump. Virtual rain, fake rain, so pundits can claim that Trump is not making any progress even though the results say the opposite.
Draining the swamp is messy, muddy. But the mud will soon dry. Democrats just lost special elections in Arkansas and Omaha after sinking millions into them. Democrats might grab an election here or there in places like Georgia where the demographics are changing to black communities, but not without millions and millions of campaign dollars . . . and Democrats cannot afford to do that for all the elections in 2018. Democrats must defend 23 Senators in 2018 compared to 10 for Republicans, and Democrats must win 25 seats in the US House from Republicans, and then win back 900 state legislative seats and 14 governorships. If Georgia is an example, that will cost Democrats hundreds of millions to try.
SCOTUS will be rendering its decisions about Trump executive orders just before the 2018 elections . . . and more than likely, SCOTUS will rule against the Obama appointed judges who live in the lower court swamps. SCOTUS will help Trump.
Comey is gone. Lynch is in trouble. Clinton is back in trouble. The Clinton Foundation donors are talking. Clapper and Yates both said that there is no evidence of collusion between Trump and the Russians.
Schumer is gasping for rain like one of those stranded fish. His Republican swamp buddies like McCain will abandon him as he dies . . . a rat leaving the swamp even though they shared an apartment together. His Wall Street swamp buddies cannot help him. The Washington Post and The New York Times and CNN and NBC are all trying to seed the clouds. But none of it is producing enough rain to help Schumer stop Trump from draining the swamp.
Draining the swamp is loud. Listen to all the hysterical liberal media cartel who are trying to make it rain in order to save the swamp where they live. Chanting. Lies. Rain dances. But no real rain is coming. Only fake rain.
The swamp will soon be dry. And when it is, then the next task is to make America great again.
Every once in awhile, an email arrives that is soooo good I must share it with all on my email list. This is one of them well worthy of posting and circulating.

Trump Didn’t Ignore Disabled Child
Sydney Schaedel
Q: Did President Donald Trump ignore a disabled child who tried to shake his hand?
A: No. A viral video clip omitted Trump’s earlier interaction with the boy.
FULL ANSWER
The headline of a July 29 story on washingtonjournal.com says: “This Video Of A Disabled Toddler Trying To Shake Trump’s Hand And Getting Ignored Will Break Your Heart.”
The story — which Facebook users flagged as potentially fake news — claims that President Donald Trump overlooked the child at a July 24 event at the White House highlighting problems with the Affordable Care Act.
But the video clip, which has received more than 250,000 views on YouTube, is misleading. It doesn’t show Trump’s earlier interaction with the young boy, who also wasn’t trying to shake the president’s hand, his mom said.
“Just a few days ago, the President gathered a number of people willing to be political props, dubbing them the ‘victims of Obamacare’ at the White House while he made a vague, rambling pitch for its repeal that was entirely devoid of any discussion of policy or the catastrophic effects that repeal would have,” the Washington Journal story says.
“When he was finished, he turned to shake the hands of those behind him — except for one child, who happened to be in a wheelchair.”
The 24-second video clip embedded in the story does show Trump shaking hands with several adults and engaging with some of the children while moving past Montgomery Weer, a three-year-old with spina bifida, who has his hand extended. But a longer White House video shows that earlier, as he walked to the podium to make his remarks, Trump stopped to speak to the boy.
What’s more, Weer wasn’t trying to shake Trump’s hand, according to his mother, Marjorie, who cleared up what happened on social media.
“Trump didn’t snub my son & Monty wasn’t even trying to shake his hand (1. He’s 3 and hand shaking is not his thing, 2. he was showing off his newly acquired secret service patch),” she wrote on Facebook. (In both videos, the boy appears to have something in his hand.)
Even “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling, who criticized Trump on Twitter for the alleged snub, was misled by the video clip. Rowling later deleted her tweets and apologized to the family.
Editor’s note: FactCheck.org is one of several organizations working with Facebook to help identify and label viral fake news stories flagged by readers on the social media network.
The Establishment — on Both Sides — Weaponizes ‘Fake News’
The epidemic of “fake news” is apparently so contagious it has spread to India. Ravi Prasad, the country’s Electronics and Information Technology Minister, claimed India is “helpless” in combating “objectionable content.” The Indian government has even threatened to jail people responsible for spreading that content.
Of course, the United States is not so overzealous, but it seems we are moving in that unfortunate direction. Ever since President Trump rightly weaponized that epithet against the mainstream media — as he did at a recent rally in Ohio — the establishment media and entrenched politicos have used “fake news” to delegitimize political speech with which they disagree.
House Democrats have scolded the president for “disseminating stories from dubious sources” and relying on “false reports.” The New York Times repeatedly admonishes Fox News’ Sean Hannity and other conservative commentators for engaging in “conspiracy theories.” Meanwhile, The Washington Post has made it a priority to teach readers how to identify fake news, however overblown the epidemic may be.
But Democrats and their media allies are not the only ones to blame. Establishment Republicans similarly weaponize the “fake” designation to delegitimize conservative outsiders, branding nontraditional voices as the political fringe to solidify their insider status.
Last week, former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele criticized Republicans who “label something as fake news” to avoid “confront(ing) the truth,” claiming they “(undermine) the very strong constitutional principle of a free press.”
Others have criticized Trump for inviting non-mainstream news outlets such as Gateway Pundit to White House press briefings. Back in February, The Resurgent called Gateway Pundit, a competitor, “a cesspool of fake news.”
Dave Schnittger, a longtime top aide to House Republican leaders, argues conservative news outlets undermine the congressional governing process. Another aide laments how such news pushes the Republican Party to the “anti-government, anti-compromise ideological right.” Others complain the conservative media are forcing members of Congress to embrace “extremist positions” for ratings and clicks.
And who can forget Joe Scarborough? The MSNBC host vocally defends CNN from the president, claiming the network — which has repeatedly bungled news stories about the White House and continues to propagate unfounded Russia allegations — “has more integrity on its worst day than Donald Trump has on his best.” (Like anti-Trump Democrats before him, Scarborough made sure to include the #RealNews hashtag.) He went on to praise CNN journalists, saying they should “take great pride in their work.”
Of course, those same journalists have published decidedly fake stories tying the White House to Russia. In June, CNN retracted a story connecting recently appointed (now fired) White House communication director Anthony Scaramucci to the Senate’s ongoing Russia investigations. Three journalists involved lost their jobs.
The left is largely to blame for the weaponization of “fake news” as a bludgeon against free speech. Mainstream media outlets have taken to criticizing so-called “scam PACs,” political organizations that just happen to support conservative political candidates. The left-wing Campaign Legal Center laments the standard practice of “forming PACs that send urgent solicitations for small donations,” all while linking the “scam PAC” phenomenon to the tea party and conservative grassroots activists. Ignored is the reality that for those unrepresented by political elites, the only way to speak meaningfully and be heard is by creating and participating in outside speech and association.
But, again, both sides of the aisle are to blame for such sensationalist fearmongering. Townhall has similarly come out against “sleazy” super PACs for “fake fundraising.” Why? Because they are a threat to the Washington establishment.
As the establishment cowers in fear of non-mainstream opinions, the right to free speech should be defended now more than ever. No matter how it is expressed — whether through a candidate, PAC or other political organization — outsiders are being smeared as illegitimate simply because they do not belong to the insider cliques of Beltway politics. Epithets like “scam PAC” and “fake news” only serve to demonize those with whom the establishment disagrees, further dividing us into ideological factions.
While guarding themselves from the left, movement conservatives must not lose sight of the enemy from within: Entrenched Republicans fearing for their survival. Imagine the power of the conservative movement if Republicans stopped bickering about Gateway Pundit and “scam PACs,” and united behind the principles of limited government and individual freedom.

Russian Probe Torn Wide Open With Leaked Grand Jury Bombshell
BY JOE SAUNDERS
The media hasn’t been this excited since Chris Matthews got that thrill up his leg.
And it’s a leak that did it, of course. One deliberately aimed at hurting the Trump presidency.
If anyone doubted that this investigation was anything but an attempt to smear Donald Trump, the latest development — and the media’s breathless response — tore that idea wide open.
Political circles inside the Beltway, cable shout fests and liberal late-night comics this week were buzzing with the news bombshell Thursday that a grand jury is hearing evidence in the case of alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election. But liberals shouldn’t be popping the impeachment champagne just yet.
A Washington that got used to an imperial presidency during the Obama administration might have forgotten it, but this is exactly how it’s supposed to work.
That was the take on Friday from veteran journalist and Fox News “Media Buzz” columnist Howard Kurtz.
Kurtz took a point-by-point approach to popping the bubbles of excitement that greeted Thursday’s report in The Wall Street Journal that special prosecutor Robert Mueller had impaneled a grand jury to hear evidence in the investigation that the Trump campaign colluded with Russian operatives to sway the result of the November vote.
Kurtz’s conclusion – which should be obvious to anyone not blinded by partisan or ideological rage – is that the excitement is misplaced.
First of all, prosecutors impaneling grand juries is not only routine, it’s to be expected. It’s how a prosecution investigation proceeds – to establish that a crime has been committed and who is likely the criminal.
As Kurtz put it, far from being a bombshell itself: “The shocker would have been if Mueller completed his investigation without bringing in a grand jury.”
Apparently shocked breathless by a story it got scooped on in its own backyard, The Washington Post described the development as “a sign that investigators continue to aggressively gather evidence in the case.”
Kurtz’s answer is a lancet: “True. Did anyone expect anything less?”
Not to be outdone in the hype department, the reliably liberal USA Today intoned that “the move would give Mueller, a former FBI director, enormous power to subpoena documents and compel witnesses to testify under oath.”
As Kurtz responds: “Yep. Which he already had.”
In other words, the seating of a grand jury is the process playing out.
But it’s important to remember that it’s a process that started with the appointment of a special prosecutor that was engineered by former FBI Director James Comey through a highly unethical, if not illegal, leak to The New York Times.
Grand jury proceedings are supposed to be secret. But Mueller’s grand jury was exposed to the Wall Street Journal by “people familiar with the matter.” That is, people with an ax to grind against the administration as sharp and as bitter as Comey’s.
The only thing that really matters here is the impact of the words “grand jury” in the public mind – and how the news is going to be used as ammunition in the campaign to tarnish Trump’s presidency. And that was the point of the leak to The Journal.
The liberal media, the talking heads and dimwit Democrat congressman like Adam Schiff can try to hype this all they want.
But the fact is, Mueller’s grand jury is just another sign that the process is playing out, and judging by the endless, empty stories that have been filling the news media since January, it’s a process that’s going to vindicate the Trump presidency.
And Dems are going to have to admit, finally, that the thrill is gone.
Libs Silent Over What’s Happening to Canadian Health Care
BY BENJAMIN ARIE
Oh, Canada! Our neighbor to the north is routinely touted by liberals as a health care paradise — but the reality is very different. They treat aging as a disease…
A scathing new report just revealed how much Canadians actually pay for their “free” health coverage, and revealed deep problems with the system that Democrats want to force onto Americans.
A scathing new report just revealed how much Canadians actually pay for their “free” health coverage, and revealed deep problems with the system that Democrats want to force onto Americans.
According to the nonpartisan Fraser Institute, many Americans falsely believe that Canadians pay nothing for health care visits. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Canadians often misunderstand the true cost of our public healthcare system,” the institute found in a detailed report. “This occurs partly because Canadians do not incur direct expenses for their use of health care, and partly because Canadians cannot readily determine the value of their contribution to public health care insurance.”
In other words, the system seems almost designed to hide costs from the people who pay them. Canadians end up paying through a complex web of taxes at both the national and local level.
“Out of sight, out of mind” might work in the short term, but you can’t conceal expenses forever.
A “typical Canadian family of four will pay $12,057 for health care in 2017—an increase of nearly 70 percent over the last 20 years,” explained The Daily Caller, which dug into the Fraser report.
Over a $1,000 per month is hardly “free,” and the costs keep increasing. So do the wait times — and people often forget that having coverage on paper is not the same as receiving timely care.
“For all those tax dollars, there is still a long waiting list for a host of operations, both routine and urgent. Another Fraser Institute study recently revealed that 63,000 Canadians left the country in 2016 to seek medical assistance elsewhere — usually the U.S.,” explained the Caller.
Bacchus Barua, a senior economist at the institute, revealed that wait times for many medical procedures were approaching half a year.
“Services are being rationed,” he admitted. “In our last report on wait times in Canada, we discovered that the average wait time from referral to treatment was 20 weeks. That was the longest wait time in the history of our survey.”
Almost everybody agrees that America’s health care system needs to be overhauled and simplified. Costs are high, the system is complex, and everything only became more confusing with the passage of Obamacare.
With all that said, a single payer system is clearly not all that it’s cracked up to be.
Canada is often seen as the ideal model… but it would be wise to take a closer look at its flaws before jumping in head first.

Socialism Has Destroyed Venezuela
James M. Roberts
James M. Roberts
Friedrich Hayek famously observed that socialist central planning puts countries on the road to serfdom.
The latest dead end on that highway to hell—already littered with the human victims of past failed attempts in places like Cuba and the old Soviet Union—is in Caracas, Venezuela.
That is where, last weekend, President Nicolás Maduro and the thousands of Cuban communists who actually run his government took the final step to squash the rights of individual Venezuelan citizens and impose an authoritarian dictatorship.
Hayek could have told us: It is the logical last act in the Venezuelan tragedy that began nearly 20 years ago with the election of Maduro’s mentor (and Fidel Castro’s protégé), Hugo Chavez.
As The Economist magazine reported earlier this year, the damage in Venezuela is extensive.
The economy has contracted dramatically—gross domestic product in 2017 will be nearly 25 percent smaller than when Chavez died in 2013. Hyperinflation—and the complete economic collapse it signals—seems to be just around the corner.
The economy has contracted dramatically—gross domestic product in 2017 will be nearly 25 percent smaller than when Chavez died in 2013. Hyperinflation—and the complete economic collapse it signals—seems to be just around the corner.
Inflation is predicted to exceed 1,600 percent this year and the value of the country’s currency—the bolivar—has plummeted. As wags on Twitter have noted, it is now worth less than the virtual gold tokens in the “World of Warcraft” video game.
Which would be funny, were it not for the immense human suffering right now in Venezuela. People are losing weight because there is not enough to eat in this workers’ paradise.
There are shortages of everything, everywhere. Just like in the old Soviet Union, people line up at the first rumor that some basic item—bread, rice, cooking oil, etc.—might be available.
Food riots are frequent. Medicines are almost nonexistent. Hospitals do not even have running water. Many people are fleeing—thousands of refugees are crossing the border daily into Colombia.
It wasn’t supposed to end this way. The World Bank clucked approvingly in the early Chavez years, when his oil income redistribution schemes improved statistics for inequality.
Meanwhile, the Chavistas looted and destroyed the Venezuelan private sector, seizing and wiping out the efficient companies and farms that had been producing the basic goods people are now fighting over.
As long as oil prices were rising, they got away with it.
There is more equality in Venezuela today, that’s for sure. As British Prime Minister Winston Churchill would have put it: Socialism produces misery, equally shared.
Not everyone is hurting, though. Chavez’s daughter, María Gabriela, has a fortune estimated at more than $4 billion.
The Miami Herald reports that state-owned oil company PDVSA alone funneled $11 billion in illegal payments to Venezuelan government officials and their friends and families between 2005 and 2014.
Venezuela’s score in the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index makes it the most corrupt country in the Western Hemisphere, and helped drag the country to the bottom of The Heritage Foundation’s annual Index of Economic Freedom, too.
Back home in America, the mainstream media is dutifully reporting on the demonstrations against the government.
Sometimes they mention that Maduro’s thugs on motorcycles are randomly beating people up and that Venezuelan government sharpshooters are targeting and killing protesters to terrorize the public and scare them into staying off the streets.
But, in a country where many young people are still enchanted by the Bernie Sanders message of socialism and free stuff, not enough attention has been paid to this simple fact: that in the real world—a world where bad people say good-sounding things to voters and then proceed to steal other people’s stuff once they take office—Venezuela is what you get when socialist theories are actually put into practice.
UCLA Study Pins Global Warming Hoax on Pet Dogs and Cats
By Andrew West
Radical eco-warriors have long been spouting nonsense regarding the supposed warming of our entire planet due to man-made causes. Much of their drivel revolves around driving; planes, trains, and automobiles are all evil, smog-inducing, greenhouse gas-belching tools of the devil himself, and will soon cause New York City and Miami tourism to be done by SCUBA gear.
Of course, for every strange story that the left likes to concoct to push their globalist climate change agenda, science swiftly swoops in to smother them in cold, hard facts.
This, in turn, creates a need for the lunatic fringe on the left to reinvent their global warming hypotheses on a regular basis. The latest faulty piece of science from the moronic movement will have you, and your pets, scratching behind the ears.
“Think before you give Lucky and Tiger another mouthful! They may look cute and affectionate, your dog and your cat, but at heart, they are ravening planet-destroying creatures whose insatiable appetite for meat and deadly feces threatens to kill us all with deadly global warming.
“Or so says a study from UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability on the Environmental impacts of food consumption by dogs and cats.
“According to the study, by geography professor Gregory S. Okin, the 163 million cats and dogs in the U.S. alone eat so much meat that if they were a country they would be the fifth largest meat consumer after Russia, Brazil, the U.S., and China.
“Also, they produce 5.1 million tons of feces — the same as is produced by 90 million human Americans.”
Given the multitude of scientific reasons why climate change is not a manmade phenomenon, it seems that UCLA may be barking up the wrong tree.
The strange and baseless assertions of this UCLA study are reminiscent of former President Barack Obama’s late-term attacks on the beef industry in America, citing that the number of cows within our borders are producing a detrimental amount of methane for our atmosphere, nearly insinuating that a vegetarian diet would somehow reverse the “global warming” that is already occurring.
Former Obama Chef Sam Kass was quick to remind the former President just how many steaks he had prepared for him over the years, claiming that number to be, perhaps, in the thousands.
