~All Gave Some~Some Gave All~God Bless America

Photos of the damage to Puerto Rico is reminiscent to that of Hiroshima in WWII. Hiroshima recovered and is today the garden spot of Japan. San Juan can do the same.

Take a knee…

Take a little trip to Valley Forge in January. If you don't know where that is, just Google it from the sidelines. Hold a musket ball in your fingers and imagine it piercing your flesh and breaking a bone or two. There won't be a doctor or trainer to assist you until after the battle, so just wait your turn. Take your cleats and socks off to get a real experience. Then take a knee.

Then, take one at the beach in Normandy where man after all  American man  stormed the beach, even as the one in front of him was shot to pieces...the very sea stained with American blood. The only blockers most had were the dead bodies in front of them, riddled with bullets from enemy fire.
Take a knee in the sweat soaked jungles of Vietnam. from Khe San to Saigon.... Anywhere will do. REAL Americans died in all those jungles. There was no playbook that told them what was next, but they knew what flag they represented. When they came home, they were protested as well..and spit on for reasons only cowards know.
Take another knee in the blood drenched sands of Fallujah in 110 degree heat.. Wear your Kevlar helmet and battle dress... Your number won't be printed on it unless your number is up! You'll need to stay hydrated but there won't be anyone to squirt Gatorade into your mouth. You're on your own.
There's a lot of places to take a knee. Real Americans have given their lives all over the world. When you use the banner under which they fought as a source for your displeasure, you dishonor the memories of those who bled for the very freedoms you have. That's what the red stripes mean. It represents the blood of those who spilled a sea of it defending your liberty.
While you're on your knee, pray for those that came before you, not on a manicured lawn striped and printed with numbers to announce every inch of ground taken...but on nameless hills and bloodied beaches and sweltering forests and bitter cold mountains..every inch marked by an American life lost serving that flag you protest.
No cheerleaders, no announcers, no coaches, no fans...just American men and women...delivering the real fight against those who chose to harm us...blazing a path so you would have the right to "take a knee."
You haven't an inkling what it took to get you where you are; but your "protest" is duly noted. Not only is it disgraceful to a nation of real heroes, it serves the purpose of pointing to your ingratitude for those who chose to defend you under that banner that will still wave long after your jersey is issued to another...
If you really feel the need to take a knee, come with me to church on Sunday and we'll both kneel before Almighty God. We'll thank Him for preserving this country for as long as He has. We'll beg forgiveness for our ingratitude for all He has provided us. We'll appeal to Him for understanding and wisdom. We'll pray for liberty and justice for all...because He is the one who provides those things.
And there will be no protest. There will only be gratitude for His provision and a plea for His continued grace and mercy on the land of the free and the home of the brave. It goes like this...
GOD BLESS AMERICA
Lingerie Football League Responds to NFL – “We Stand For the National Anthem”There’s another football league on the American landscape, and they just issued a scathing rebuke of the NFL’s national anthem protests.
Seriously, the Legends Football League, formerly known as the Lingerie Football League, is the voice of reason in the sports world these days.

The league, comprised of women playing football in lingerie, has echoed sentiments of President Donald Trump, declaring they will stand for the national anthem because “our nation’s flag and anthem are far too sacred.”

The women, unlike their male counterparts, will NOT take a knee.

“The LFL recognizes everyone’s First Amendment right to protest, but our nation’s flag and anthem are far too sacred,” the league said in a statement earlier this week. “Too many fellow Americans have made the ultimate sacrifice, so that our flag and anthem continue in all its majesty.”

“It symbolizes all the blood, sweat, and tears that have been shed so that we as Americans can raise our flag across our nation,” an announcer says during the video. “The LFL salutes all those who make this the greatest country in the world.”
“We stand in salute of our flag.”

Smart, tough, pro-American football players. Something becoming more and more scarce in the NFL these days.

Come to think of it, since Colin Kaepernick is desperate to get back into playing football, it looks like there are some openings in the LFL for those seeking to try out.

It should be noted however, that two LFL players last season did in fact kneel during the national anthem.

Before a game against the Omaha Heart, Los Angeles Temptation players Sherri Awagah and Danielle Harvey decided to kneel as they protested the Star Spangled Banner.

Oh well, maybe the XFL can make a comeback. There’s no way Vince McMahon would allow players to kneel unless they’re placed in a headlock.

Flashback: Iconic Photo Shows Jesse Owens Saluting American Flag in Nazi Germany
A social media account known as ‘History In Pix’ has reminded us all what true courage looks like, posting an iconic photo of American track and field legend Jesse Owens saluting the American flag at the 1936 games in Berlin.

In the face of hostility, flanked by numerous others standing in a Nazi salute to Adolf Hitler who sickeningly believed in a master race, Owens stood in defiance, saluting the American flag.

Owens won four gold medals in the 1936 games, triumphing in the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump, and 4 × 100 meter relay.

“When Owens finished competing,” ESPN’s Larry Schwartz wrote in 2000, “the African-American son of a sharecropper and the grandson of slaves had single-handedly crushed Hitler’s myth of Aryan supremacy.”
And he did so while proudly saluting the American flag during the medal ceremonies.

“In Germany, the Nazis portrayed African-Americans as inferior and ridiculed the United States for relying on ‘black auxiliaries,'” Shwartz wrote. “But the German people felt otherwise. Crowds of 110,000 cheered him in Berlin’s glittering Olympic Stadium and his autograph or picture was sought as he walked the streets.”
He was a true American sports hero.

This is an excerpt about the national anthem being played at the Olympic ceremonies and what it meant to Owens from the book “Jesse Owens: A Biography.”

James Woods managed to catch a glimpse of the historical photo as well, saluting Owens as a great American.

Owens was presented with the Medal of Freedom in 1976 by President Gerald Ford, the highest honor the U.S. can bestow upon a civilian.

And in 1990, President George H.W. Bush posthumously awarded Owens with the Congressional Medal of Honor.

“It was an unrivaled athletic triumph,” Bush said of Owens performance at the 1936 Olympics. “But more than that, it really was a triumph for all humanity.”

Trump Inaugural Committee Donates $3 Million To Hurricane Relief
By Daily Caller Thomas Phippen
The Trump Inaugural Committee plans to donate $3 million in surplus funds to victims of the latest hurricanes, The New York Times reports.

Trump’s inauguration committee, which raised a record $106 million from private donors for the 2017 inauguration of President Donald Trump, will donate funds left over to several charitable groups, the chairman of the committee said.
And It May Not Be How You Think.

“The surplus of these privately donated funds will be put to great substantive use for relief victims throughout the heartbreaking regions of America impacted by the recent catastrophic disasters,” chairman Thomas Barrack said in an email. The funds will go to the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army and Samaritan’s Purse, and all three are providing relief to areas in Texas, Florida and the Caribbean devastated by recent hurricanes.
“The committee will continue to curate worthwhile causes and make further contributions that serve America’s agenda and will conclude in accordance with its charter in the next few months,” Barrack said.

Inaugural committee funds can be disbursed at the will of the committee, and don’t have to be used for specific purposes. Trump’s committee raised more than twice what former President Barack Obama’s committee raised from private donations.

Barrack promised earlier this year that charitable donations from the committee will “exceed any previous inauguration.” The committee plans to announce more giving programs in November.

Trump announced he will donate $1 million of his own money to Hurricane Harvey relief earlier in September, donating to the three recipients of inaugural donations plus several other local organizations in Texas.

Meghan McCain, Daughter of Senator John McCain, Joins “The View”

meghan mccain joins the view
It’s official!
We reported weeks ago that Meghan McCain, daughter of Senator John McCain and former Fox News contributor, was rumored to be joining The View. The speculation came about because conservative host Jedediah Bila had left the show with little notice. This left a spot open on the show to be filled by a conservative voice. With McCain out at Fox, and Jebediah’s sudden departure, the rumor mill spun with anticipation.
And It May Not Be How You Think.
Today, the rumors were confirmed: Meghan McCain will be taking Jebediah’s place on The View.

Deadline Hollywood reports: “McCain’s starting next month, joining the panel that includes Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Paula Faris, Sunny Hoston and Joy Behar — for now anyway.  The show continues to be known as a revolving door, panelist on the show have one of the most dangerous jobs on daytime TV.”

You can see more about McCain’s new role here:

I don’t personally watch The View, so I’m not super excited by this news. This is especially so given McCain’s history of having progressive points of view on most issues.

The View is a ladies’ talk show that is infamous for being very critical of President Trump. The hosts are almost all liberals, and that will continue to be the case with McCain. Though she’s a former Fox News contributor and calls herself a conservative, she’s nearly always on the liberal side of any given issue. Just recently, she called out President Trump on Twitter:

I’m going to take a wild guess and assume no Fox viewer will follow McCain to The View. The show will continue to be a catty, gossipy roundtable devoid of critical conversation.

Am I wrong? Will you tune into The View to watch Meghan McCain? Or will you continue to ignore it? Tell us your thoughts below, and share this news on Facebook now!

NFL Players are Violating League Rules

with Blessings of Leaders

Michael Haverluck, OneNewsNow.com

According to the rules created by the National Football League, the players who staged anti-National Anthem protests violated the NFL’s operation manual, as they are actually required to be on the field – and respect the flag.
Even though the NFL announced it would not punish the 200 or so players who refused to stand up or appear on the field to honor America and its flag this Sunday, the league’s operation manual states that players must show respect and pay tribute during the anthem.
“During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking,” the NFL rules state, according to WND. “The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”
Disrespect and breaking the rules seen as good?
The NFL’s response to its players disrespecting the United States flag and National Anthem sends the message that the anti-American tide sweeping gridirons across America every Sunday – and inciting others to do the same – is commendable and does not warrant disciplinary action – even though such resistance violates the NFL’s own rulebook.
Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick remains unsigned this season and no longer has a job with the NFL, but his obstinate legacy lives on in the league, which has become more about politics than sacks and touchdowns.
“It all started a year ago with now-sidelined quarterback Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the playing of the National Anthem before a preseason game,” WND reported. “He explained in the wake of high-profile police shootings, ‘I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.’”
This attitude is catching on in the NFL, especially after President Donald Trump lashed out at NFL anthem protesters refusing to honor their country by calling them disrespectful “sons of [expletive]” who NFL coaches should fire.
“[S]ome 200 NFL players Sunday follow[ed] [Kaepernick’s] lead, mostly in response to criticism by President Trump,” WND’s Bob Unruh recounted. “Some kneeled for the anthem, some stayed in the locker room and a few raised fists.”
But apparently, political grandstanding and breaking rules receives no penalty – or rebuke – in the NFL, which has become ultra-sensitive on politically correct issues over the years.
“An NFL spokesman said Monday that players from the Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers would not be punished for violating a league rule that requires players to be present on the sidelines during the playing of the national anthem,” USA Today announced on Monday.
“There will be no discipline handed down this week for anyone who was not there,” NFL Spokesman Joe Lockhart proclaimed, according to USA Today.
When asked whether the NFL would discipline anti-anthem players in the future – or if the league would alter its pregame sideline policy – he just responded that the issue would continue to be discussed with players.
“The real effort here is to make progress in the community on issues of inequality, and to not get distracted by political attacks or things that don’t help us make progress,” Lockhart stressed, according to USA Today.
A law to themselves?
The anti-American trend of disrespect and refusing to honor the U.S. flag, law enforcement and Armed Forces is now becoming a routine staged event in football stadiums across the country – and abroad (in the NFL’s preseason game in the United Kingdom).
“Those three teams skipped the pre game ritual on Sunday,” USA Today’s Lindsay H. Jones noted. “The Seahawks and Titans stayed in the locker room as a form of protest, while the Steelers did not take the field as a team so players would not have to choose between making a protest statement or displaying patriotism, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said.”
The one player on the Pittsburg Steelers bold enough to not cave in to his team’s staged anti-America protest is now receiving backlash for being the only team member to abide by the NFL’s rules.

“One Steelers player, offensive lineman and Army veteran Alejandro Villanueva, stood at the end of the tunnel during the playing of the anthem before the game in Chicago,” Jones pointed out.
Instead of being commended for standing up for his country and what it stands for as a decorated soldier, Villanueva was blasted for honoring the nation during the anthem by his coach, Mike Tomlin, after his team lost to the Chicago Bears.
“Like I said, I was looking for 100 percent participation – we were gonna be respectful of our football team,” stressed Tomlin, who claimed that the decision to remain in the locker room was made by the players, according to the Washington Free Beacon. “Many of them felt like something needed to be done. I asked those guys to discuss it and whatever they discussed that we have 100-percent participation – or we do nothing.”
Villanueva’s teammate, Pittsburg Steelers defensive end Cam Heyward would not comment on what determined the decision to stay in the locker room, but he did not blame the Army vet for paying tribute to his country.
“I don’t want to go into that, but we support our guy Al,” Heyward told the Beacon. “He feels he had to do it. This guy served our country, and we thank him for it.”
Apparently, issues on equipment regulations – such as the “Inflategate scandal” involving Super Bowl LI MVP Tom Brady – are a higher priority in the NFL than player conduct on the field.
“[While NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell] infamously waged a years-long, multi-million-dollar battle with the New England Patriots trying to prove that the balls used in the 2014 AFC championship between the Pats and the Indianapolis Colts were under-inflated, [he’s taking a] decidedly less fastidious approach to the rules governing the national anthem,” Gabien.com pointed out in a report, according to WND. “[Instead of applying the rules], Goodell is focusing his anger at President Trump, who said in a speech Friday that the NFL team owners should require their players to stand during the anthem.”
Choosing what statements players can and cannot make has become a routine practice in the NFL.
“The report noted that a year ago, the league prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal on their helmets honoring the five police officers killed by a black man who said he had set out to kill as many white officers as he could,” Unruh relayed. “And the league stopped Titans linebacker Avery Williamson from honoring 9/11 victims by wearing cleats that read ‘9-11/01’ and ‘Never Forget.’”
Business interests and religious views are also hot topics that help NFL officials decide what kind of branding and messaging they allow their players to don on and off the field.
“The NFL fined Robert Griffin III $10,000 for wearing a shirt during a press conference that said ‘Operation Patience – the shirt was made by Reebok and the league contract is with Nike,” Unruh added. “Griffin also ran into trouble wearing a shirt that said ‘Know Jesus, Know Peace,’ the report said.”

What the Roy Moore victory means

Dr. Michael Brown, OneNewsNow.com
For one thing, it sends a message to the GOP establishment from fed-up Republicans across the country: “We’ve had it with your compromising and your political games – and we’ve had it with career politicians in general.”
It’s often said that you can know a man by his enemies. That being the case, we can know a lot about Judge Roy Moore by the blaring headline on Huffington Post last night: “Alabama Earthquake: GOP Picks Outsider Bigot.” Translated, this means: “GOP Picks Conservative Christian, Anti-Establishment Candidate.” Sounds good to me.
What does Moore’s victory mean in national, political terms? What does it mean in social and cultural teams?
First, Moore’s victory reminds us that the same anti-establishment wave that brought President Trump into office brought Moore the GOP victory.
To the extent Trump is associated with the establishment, to that extent he loses much of his appeal. Conversely, to the extent a candidate is perceived to be anti-establishment, to that extent the candidate is embraced by the core of Trump’s base.
That’s why the president’s endorsement of establishment candidate Luther Strange only went so far. That’s why the investment of $30 million in GOP advertising funds only went so far.
That’s why the crowd that attended the Trump rally last Friday in Alabama chanted, “USA, USA” more than “Luther Strange, Luther Strange.” And that’s why the president had to hedge his bets, with statements like, “I’ll be honest, I might have made a mistake.” And, “If his opponent wins, I’m going to be here campaigning like hell for him.”
That’s also why Trump immediately tweeted out congratulations to Judge Moore after his victory was announced, also deleting (!) his earlier tweets supporting Strange.
Second, Moore’s victory sends a message to the GOP establishment from fed-up Republicans across the country: “We’ve had it with your compromising and your political games. We’ve had it with career politicians in general. You represent what we reject. You represent one of the major reasons we voted for Donald Trump. Your time in DC is over.”
If recent headlines on Breitbart.com are to be believed – and note that Breitbart was all-in in support of Moore – then establishment GOP candidates up for reelection in 2018 are quaking in fear. (If Breitbart is also to be believed, Jared Kushner strongly advised the president to endorse Strange, providing another alleged example of Kushner counseling the president to do the opposite of what his base would expect.)
Third, Moore’s victory reminds us that there remain strongly conservative pockets throughout our country for whom biblical values are a positive, not a negative.
Let’s not forget that Roy Moore is known as the Ten Commandments Judge, and for the last 20 years, he has been involved in legal battles to keep these commandments in central, public view. It began when he hung a homemade version of the commandments in his courtroom in Alabama, refusing to remove them after the ACLU successfully sued him.
Then, when he became Chief Justice of Alabama, he “installed a 5,280-pound granite block that featured Constitutional quotes and two large tablets with the 10 Commandments outside the state Judicial Building. The move prompted a lawsuit from the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center, among other groups, which Moore dismissed saying the 10 Commandments were the ‘moral foundation of U.S. law’ and therefore appropriate in a judicial setting.”
He was ultimately removed from office after refusing to comply with court orders, only to be reelected as Chief Justice in 2013, “but served only three years before being suspended again, this time for directing probate judges to continue to enforce the state’s ban on same-sex marriage despite a U.S. Supreme Court ruling. Moore appealed his removal but then opted to resign and announced he was running for the Senate to replace Jeff Sessions, who had been named U.S. Attorney General.”
This is the man who just crushed establishment candidate Luther Strange, despite the endorsement of President Trump and a flood of establishment money.
In his victory speech last night, Moore said:
“As long as it’s constitutional, as long as it advance[s] our society, our culture, our country, I will be supportive. As long as it’s constitutional. But we have to return to knowledge of God and the Constitution of the United States to the United States Congress.

“I believe we can make America great, but we must make America good, and you cannot make America good without acknowledging the sovereign source of that goodness, the sovereign source of our law, liberty, and government, which is Almighty God.

“We have become a nation that has distanced ourselves from the very foundation. [George] Washington said that of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports.”

Moore also “spoke of protests, demonstrations, mobs, and racial strife, but that ‘we’re all made in the image of God.'”

Yes, this is the man who will likely be the next senator from Alabama.

To be candid, it sounded like his speech came straight from the pages of Saving a Sick America, where I wrote:

“Now, there is a widely circulated, powerful quote attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville, a quote that scholars agree does not originate with him. But regardless of who first uttered these words – if not Tocqueville, then one of his contemporaries – I wholeheartedly affirm the sentiments they reflect:

“‘America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.’

“These words underlie the central argument of this book: America can be great only to the extent that America is good, and for America to be good, it must recapture its biblical heritage. Stated another way, a theocracy is not the answer; returning to God’s Word is the answer.”

That was the message of Judge Roy Moore, and that is the message that still resonates with many Americans today.

Could it be that the tide is beginning to turn? That we are getting sick and tired of radical liberalism? Could it be?

The message from conservative Alabama is loud and clear.

Obama Issues Nasty NFL Announcement
Ben Baker

When Kaepernick first chose not to stand for the national anthem at an NFL game last year, politics seeped into the game and haven’t left since.

Yet as the Washington Times reported, it would seem Barack Obama blames President Trump for politicizing football. During a paid speech on health care, he told listeners, “Our big problem right now is politics. Can’t even get it out of football.”

While his comment about politics in football didn’t target Trump directly, it is highly suspicious considering that the comment occurred after Trump’s controversial statements over the weekend and not during the Kaepernick protests or other players protesting throughout the year.

It’s also incredibly hypocritical that he would criticize anyone for seeking to politicize football, considering he did just that throughout his presidency, according to The Guardian. Since 2013, Obama and his administration have tried to influence the Washington Redskins into changing their name out of concerns for political correctness and offending fans of the NFL.

In 2013 he sided with opponents of the Washington Redskins who considered the name of the team offensive to Native Americans. Speaking to reporters he said, “If I were the owner of the team and I knew that the name of my team, even if they’ve had a storied history, that was offending a sizable group of people, I’d think about changing it.”

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said while fans should be considered, it’s the Redskins owner’s decision. “If one person’s offended, we have to listen. And ultimately, it is Dan [Snyder]’s decision. But it is something that I want all of us to go out and make sure we’re listening to our fans, listening to people who have a different view, and making sure that we continue to do what’s right.”

The Washington Times reported that the Obama administration also participated heavily in the lawsuits trying to force the Redskins name change by denying trademark rights. The lawsuit would prevent the Redskins from renewing their trademarks and patents under the Redskins name.

Obama’s acting assistant attorney general, Joyce R. Branda, said the DOJ sided with the prosecutors to protect the “cultural heritage” of Native Americans. “I believe strongly in the rights of all Americans to celebrate and maintain their unique cultural heritage.”

The Hill also reported that in 2015, the Obama administration was seriously considering blocking the construction of a new stadium for the team because of the controversy surrounding the name. Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser was informed by the interior secretary, Sally Jewell, that the Obama administration would not work with or accommodate the construction until the name was changed.
