More sketches from in and around San Juan, Puerto Rico, in recovery from Hurricane Maria. So much to do. So many people trying to get out. Everyone hunting for oasis of power, gasoline, water, ice, food. Many roads still blocked by debris. All ballpoint. Little shaky. Too damned hot for this lad.
A few more sketches from in and around San Juan, Puerto Rico as it slowly recovers from Hurricane Maria. Everything continues to be in short supply. Lots of folks in need of the essentials. Everyone out looking for them. Walmart reportedly limiting spending per person to $40. Banks reportedly limiting funds handed out to $100 a day. Everyone calculating how long they can last.
A few sketches from San Juan, Puerto Rico. I got here the day after the storm. Utter devastation. Everyone very calm and working together at the community level, but everything is in short supply. Cash, water, food, electricity, internet. Hell, even time - with the mandatory 7 p.m. curfew.
