White House Working Mom Kellyanne Conway on the ‘High Horse Cavalry’ and Harvey Weinstein Scandal

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway shared with Values Voter Summit participants on Friday, the respect for and elevation of women in the White House as compared to the “high horse cavalry” and Harvey Weinstein.
Conway thanked the crowd and encouraged them to continue to stand firm and push forward freedom and democracy.
She said she didn’t “know how she would be able to do any of this without my faith.” She said humility is an essential component of serving in the position that she does now.
Conway said that she approaches her job as a woman of faith, with an attitude that she is blessed and privileged to serve her country at the moment, knowing “for every time there is a season and that God places us in certain areas, at certain points in our life.”
“The greatest professional privilege of my life is to work for the President, the Vice President, and this great nation,” said Conway, adding, “The greatest privilege of my life by far is being mother to those four children.” She said nothing compares to it and gives her perspective constantly.
“I’m not in the White House to read about myself. I’m there to serve and there to work on significant issues and challenges of the day,” Conway said of turning off her social media notifications earlier this year.
“I work in a White House where working moms, and certainly women, are respected and elevated to the highest positions,” Conway went on to say. She recounted Trump’s years in New York real estate when he “took a chance on women … when no one else would.”
“The thing about Donald Trump that I’ve never heard him say and he’s certainly never said to me, is ‘I think this will help with the women,’” said Conway, pointing out the “identity politics that the other side is so wrapped up in.”
She said she wouldn’t work where she does or for whom she does if she didn’t know who they are and how family-centric they are.
Conway continued, juxtaposing her experience serving in the White House to the scandal in Hollywood and Harvey Weinstein.
“I appreciate that because I hear a lot of people up on their soap boxes, the high horse cavalry always talking about women’s rights and women in the workplace and women empowerment. I’m in an environment where it’s practiced regularly,” she said.
“I think there’s a great juxtaposition going on right now. You see one of the major influencers in Hollywood and major Democratic donor really ensnared in some pretty ugly stuff, allegedly, and the juxtaposition of that is I, at least, am in a place where women are respected, and I appreciate that as a working mom.”
Conway also talked about how her “faith informs” her beliefs and how she learns about people. “To attract people politically, you must first understand them culturally. Show me how somebody spends his or her weekend and I’ll tell you how they’re gonna vote,” she said.
She talked about her decades of working on pro-life messaging and President Donald Trump sending her and the Vice President to participate in the March for Life this year. Conway remarked, “It took a Manhattan billionaire, male, who for part of his adult life was pro-choice for abortion rights, to give the most impassioned defense of life I had ever heard from a presidential debate podium on October 19th last year.”
Conway added that evangelical Christians are not monolithic, not single-issue voters. She noted that the crowd cheered President Trump that same morning as he talked about health care, tax reform, the Iran Deal, and combatting terrorism.

Trump Administration Withdraws from UNESCO, Citing Anti-Israel Bias

The U.S. announced Thursday that it is withdrawing from the U.N.’s educational, scientific, and cultural body (UNESCO), citing long-standing concerns of significant anti-Israel bias at the organization — part of a broader crackdown by the Trump administration against the bias that it sees as present throughout the U.N.
“This decision was not taken lightly, and reflects U.S. concerns with mounting arrears at UNESCO, the need for fundamental reform in the organization, and continuing anti-Israel bias at UNESCO,” the State Department said in a statement.
The decision comes after a series of anti-Israel decisions by the body, including accepting Palestine as a permanent member in 2011 and most recently in July declaring the Tomb of the Patriarchs – considered the second holiest site in Judaism after the Temple Mount – to be a Palestinian world heritage site in danger.
“The purpose of UNESCO is a good one. Unfortunately, its extreme politicization has become a chronic embarrassment,” U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley said in a statement. “Just as we said in 1984 when President Reagan withdrew from UNESCO, U.S. taxpayers should no longer be on the hook to pay for policies that are hostile to our values and make a mockery of justice and common sense.”
Israel’s U.N. Ambassador Danny Danon hailed the move as a “turning point” for UNESCO:
UNESCO has become a battlefield for Israel bashing and has disregarded its true role and purpose. Today’s decision is a turning point for UNESCO. The organization’s absurd and shameful resolutions against Israel have consequences. Today is a new day at the UN, where there is price to pay for discrimination against Israel. The United States stands by Israel and is a true leader for change at the UN. The alliance between our two countries is stronger than ever.
Irina Bokova, director-general of UNESCO, expressed “profound regret” at the U.S. decision.
“At the time when the fight against violent extremism calls for renewed investment in education, in dialogue among cultures to prevent hatred, it is deeply regrettable that the United States should withdraw from the United Nations agency leading these issues,” Bokova said at the end of a lengthy statement.
It isn’t the first time the U.S. has quit UNESCO. The U.S. left the body under President Ronald Reagan in 1984 over claims the body had a pro-Soviet bias. The U.S. re-entered in 2002 during the Bush administration but later cut its funding to the body in 2011 over the decision to admit “Palestine,” which is not a state.
The State Department said that it wishes to establish a permanent observer mission to UNESCO:
The United States indicated to the Director General its desire to remain engaged with UNESCO as a non-member observer state in order to contribute U.S. views, perspectives and expertise on some of the important issues undertaken by the organization, including the protection of world heritage, advocating for press freedoms, and promoting scientific collaboration and education.
Haley has focused much of her time as ambassador on combating anti-Israel bias, calling out both members of the Security Council and also the Human Rights Council for instances of perceived bias against Israel.

CalExit Leaders Believe if Catalonia Can Do it, California’s Independence Easier

California’s erstwhile secession movement has been inspired by Catalonia’s fight for independence, believing that California’s secession will be even easier.
The movement has splintered in recent months—known as CalExit and Yes, California alternatively—but the lead campaign is now headed up by the California Freedom Coalition, who believe there are lessons to be learned from Catalonia’s experience.
[t]hey believe California has more legal tools at its disposal, creating an easier path to secession – if that’s what Californians decide they want.
“There are definitely similarities in the fiscal situation – we both give more than we get back,” said Dave Marin, director of research and policy for the California Freedom Coalition. “But there’s more flexibility in the U.S. Constitution for secession than there is in the Spanish one. California has more tools available to it.”
The Catalan Parliament, together with President of Catalonia Carles Puigdemont, approved in September a binding referendum to make Catalonia an “independent and sovereign state.” Spain’s constitutional court suspended the process, but Catalan authorities continued with the vote on Oct. 1, prompting violence between voters and Spanish security forces tasked with shutting it down.
After a majority who voted in the referendum cast ballots for independence, Puigdemont issued a symbolic declaration of independence from Spain on Tuesday, but immediately suspended it to ease negotiations with the Madrid government…
Even though Catalonia succeeded in its attempt to vote for secession, it now must decide if it’s willing to risk the wrath of a spurned powerful centralized government crackdown. Things could get even more violent—and not surprisingly: all break-ups are painful, but try to “break up” with a huge, all-powerful government that can crush the life out of you by sending in its army.
Actions like what Catalonia did this week are almost always precursors to armed confrontation and civil war.

Calexit’s proponents say Californians shouldn’t have to answer to that evil President Trump.
If Calexit ever happened, I suppose conservative parts of the state would vote to separate from the leftists who dominate Sacramento. Maybe we’d end up with three countries where there used to be one.
Secessionists in California aren’t planning to give up their cause anytime soon, even though polls show their cause is popular with only a third of voters–even after Trump was elected.
“We’re not strictly saying secession right now,” Marin told the Bee. “But if that number gets into the high 40s or 50s, it makes sense to consider. And then we have a few more tools to pursue it than Catalonia.”

America Fights Back: Record Number of Patriotic Cord-Cutters Tumble TV Stocks

There is only one way — one! — to finally and forever destroy Hollywood and much of the mainstream media. You have to cut your cable or satellite cord. You have to cancel your pay TV package. The one-legged stool propping up ESPN, CNN, MSNBC, Disney, MTV, and the entire Tinseltown crime syndicate is you paying for cable TV.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but there is no single act any American can perform that will do more damage to the institutional left than to cut your cable/satellite cord. So please do so today. If that sounds like hyperbole, look at the recent news, look at what cord-cutting is already doing to Hollywood:
Investors in traditional TV providers are reeling as companies from AT&T Inc. to Viacom Inc. fail to stop the desertion of customers lured away by cheaper entertainment options such as Netflix and Snapchat.
AT&T, whose ownership of the DirecTV satellite service makes it the biggest U.S. pay-television provider, said late Wednesday it will report a third-quarter loss of 390,000 satellite and cable customers, echoing a similar warning weeks earlier from Comcast Corp. The same night, Viacom cautioned that its distribution deal with Charter Communications Inc., the second-biggest cable U.S. company, may lead to a blackout, potentially testing whether millions of viewers are willing to go without MTV and Nickelodeon.

As reported in August, Disney has been eyeing ways to cut up to 10% in annual costs at its Disney/ABC Television Group in a restructuring. Along with the reductions, as part of a realignment at the company to address big shifts in content distribution and other technology-related areas of the business, there will be some hiring opportunities across the company going forward.
Let me make this point as clearly as possible… Whether or not you watch CNN or MSNBC or ESPN or any other left-wing network devoted to your destruction, if these networks are on your cable/satellite package, you are subsidizing them.
We have the power to destroy these left-wing serial-liars once and for all.

Another Hollywood PERV Attacks Trump
Pornographic magazine publisher Larry Flynt is offering up big bucks to take down Trump. CNBC reports:

Flynt, who is best known as the publisher of Hustler magazine, took out a full page ad in the Sunday edition of The Washington Post.
In the ad, Flynt lists six charges that he believes constitutes the basis for impeachment, including colluding with a "hostile foreign power to rig our election", to "inciting violent civil strife."

North Korea May Have Actually Nuked Itself Out Of A Nuclear Test Site

North Korea may be losing its war with the earth.
After a powerful nuclear test on Sept. 3 that North Korea said was a hydrogen bomb, four earthquakes have now struck the region where the regime tests its weapons, leading some experts to say the site may no longer be functional.
“The explosion from the Sept. 3 test had such power that the existing tunnels within the underground testing site might have caved in,” said Kim So-gu, head researcher at the Korea Seismological Institute.
“I think the Punggye-ri region is now pretty saturated. If it goes ahead with another test in this area, it could risk radioactive pollution,” he said, as reported by Reuters.
A more powerful underground detonation at the current site could be “potentially suicidal,” not only because of damage from past tests, but also due to potential eruptions at Mount Paektu, a volcano only about 60 miles away, according to Kune Yull Suh, a professor of nuclear engineering at Seoul National University
The website 38 North, which tracks North Korean activities, reported that the Punggye-ri nuclear test site did sustain damage from the last test.
It said there were “numerous landslides throughout the Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site on the slopes of Mt. Mantap (and beyond) resulting from North Korea’s sixth nuclear test. These disturbances are more numerous and widespread than seen after any of the North’s previous five tests.”
“There was also one report of concern that Mt. Mantap might actually collapse as a result of the nuclear testing beneath it. Such reports of the mountain’s demise are highly exaggerated, although there is little doubt that there would have been significant “cracking” (possibly extending to the surface) as well as significant “irreversible strain” resulting from this event. Such cracking facilitates radioactive gas seepage in other environments,” 38 North added.
However after some of the earthquakes, significant underground damage did take place.
“It was the mountain collapsing into the cavity created by the explosion … hundreds of meters below the surface,’’ Thorne Lay, a professor at UC Santa Cruz, told the Los Angeles Times.
North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho told reporters last month that North Korea might conduct a hydrogen bomb test over the Pacific Ocean.
Suh said Ri’s comments might indicate the North can’t carry out new explosions at its test site, CBS News reported.
“It’s likely that North Korea will conduct its next nuclear test in the stratosphere, or about 100 to 300 kilometers (60 to 185 miles) from the ground, where it will be able to conduct more powerful detonations,” Suh said.

Al Mana soon began to insist that Janet Jackson act like a traditional Muslim wife. “She started to wear burkas— full-length, loose-fitting outer garments — and to steer clear of her former confidants,” revealed Us Magazine.
As Jihad Watch recently pointed out, subjugating a wife and stripping her of her identity is hardly a new tactic for hard-line Muslim husbands. In fact, both the Quran and modern Islamic clerics teach that extreme subjugation of wives is an integral part of the Muslim faith.
“Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other,” states chapter 4, verse 34 of the Quran. “As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.”
How charming.
A prominent cleric recently lectured his Muslim followers that a husband owns a woman, and that men should treat their wives “as prisoners in your hands or in your house,” according to MEMRI, the Middle East Media Research Institute.
Is it any wonder that Jackson “felt like a prisoner” when some traditionalist clerics and Islamic scripture itself instruct husbands to literally treat their wives as captives?
Luckily for Janet Jackson, she realized what a bad situation she was in and was able to separate herself from her husband. However, countless other women do not have Jackson’s resources and are trapped in nightmares of their own.
It is incredibly bizarre that the left, which claims to be the great champion and defender of women, refuses to stand up to modern Islam on its appalling record on women’s rights.
To be clear, not every Muslim treats women in the same abusive way, but there is no denying that backward and disturbing attitudes about females are woven into Islamic teaching.
The Western world needs to speak out about the extremist parts of Islam… or more women will find themselves “prisoners” in situations just like Janet Jackson’s.
FBI Finds “Stunning” Clinton Documents, This Is Huge

Last summer, the internet was aghast with news that former President Bill Clinton and then Attorney General Loretta Lynch met in secret on the tarmac in Phoenix. The story was covered up, but the truth might be coming out soon.
According to the Daily Caller, after months of stonewalling, the FBI has made an about-face, and has admitted that they possess about thirty documents regarding the meeting between Clinton and Lynch.
The conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, which is currently suing the FBI to release these documents to the public, claims that they first contacted the Justice Department about the meeting back in the summer of 2016.
At that time, the FBI told Judicial Watch that they did not have any documents related to the meeting.
Such stonewalling was in keeping with the general cloud of silence that was placed over the entire affair. Indeed, the only reason this story even got out was thanks to a local journalist who filmed the interaction.
Christopher Sign of KNXV-TV said that the FBI officials in Phoenix warned bystanders not to take pictures or record any video of the secret meeting.
“The former president steps into her plane. They then speak for 30 minutes privately. The FBI there on the tarmac instructing everybody around ‘no photos, no pictures, no cell phones,” Sign told Bill O’Reilly back in late June 2016.

Since August, however, the FBI has decided to play along by acknowledging that they do, indeed, have documents relating to the secret meeting. However, these documents have yet to be released.
“The FBI is out of control,” says Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
“It is stunning that the FBI ‘found’ these Clinton-Lynch tarmac records only after we caught the agency hiding them in another lawsuit.”
Despite the duplicity of the FBI, Fitton promises that Judicial Watch will continue to press the Justice Department to cooperate, and be as transparent as it claims to be.
“Judicial Watch will continue to press for answers about the FBI’s document games in court. In the meantime, the FBI should stop the stonewall and release these new records immediately,” Fitton said.
Judicial Watch is currently suing the FBI in order to get these documents released to their organization. A federal judge recently ruled that the FBI has until November 30th to turn over these newly recovered documents to Judicial Watch.
The Real Reason Police Uniforms Are Blue

If someone has ever wondered why a majority of police officers wear blue uniforms, the answer is not only practical, it’s also deadly serious.
As pointed out by Today I Found Out, there are a few reasons why police have predominantly chosen to wear blue uniforms.
The original reason police began wearing dark blue uniforms was actually quite simple. The first formally established police department in the U.S., the New York City Police Department in 1845, based its uniforms on the London police force, which wore blue uniforms to distinguish itself from the British military’s red, according to an article published by the law enforcement-oriented website PoliceOne.com.
In later decades, other cities established their police forces after the Civil War and their uniforms were simply surplus uniforms from the Union army. The Los Angeles Police Department, formed in 1869, was one such outfit.
More than 150 years after the Civil War, though, dark blue is still appealing for several reasons. For one, it is one of the easiest colors to clean and maintain, rather than lighter colored uniforms.
For professional purposes, dark blue uniforms better conceal stains that could get on a uniform while officers are on duty — and physically engaging in activities that can be tough on clothing, from standing in the rain to fighting with a criminal.
In terms of safety, officers have primarily continued to wear darker uniforms because it makes them harder to see at night.
When officers are patrolling at night or looking for suspects, they want to remain inconspicuous, and not easily noticeable to those they are watching or trying to capture.
According to the Baltimore Sun, Baltimore County police officers who worked on the graveyard shift stopped wearing white uniform shirts in 1996 because the light color made them feel vulnerable to being spotted by criminals.
“The officers feel safer with the dark shirts on at night,” Sgt. Joseph E. Burris, who worked in the Technical Support Services Division, told the newspaper. “They have been asking for this for years. It’s the perception, and the perception is as important as reality.”
While police in various states may not wear navy blue uniforms, the basic idea behind why many police departments have stuck with darker colors remains clear — they are easier to maintain and act as a natural camouflage in times of danger. That dark blue could literally save a life some night.
Law enforcement officers have dangerous jobs, and anything that can be used to help them capture bad guys and keep communities safer is a good idea.
