Bombshell Report Proves Collusion (This is Not The Russian Collusion You Were Looking For)

Bombshell Report Proves Collusion (This is Not The Russian Collusion You Were Looking For)

The Hill revealed a bombshell of a story Tuesday morning that connects Russian bribery, collusion, the Clinton Foundation, Eric Holder, Uranium and tons of cash, all before the 2010 Uranium One Deal outlined in Peter Schweizer’s book, Clinton Cash (which if you haven’t read yet…come on get with it).

In 2009 the year before Team Obama approved the Uranium One deal giving Putin control of twenty percent of American uranium, the FBI had compiled significant evidence that Putin’s nuclear industry officials “were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin’s atomic energy business inside the United States, according to government documents and interviews.”

Apparently, the Feds had a mole inside Russia’s nuclear industry who gathered, “extensive financial records, made secret recordings and intercepted emails” that proved Putin’s people had bribed their way into an American uranium trucking firm, which of course is against the law (it’s called the foreign corrupt practices act which may be one reason why Piers Morgan is no longer in the country).

Now we get to Bubba and Hillary. According to the Fed mole who backed provided evidentiary support,  the Russian nuclear team  “routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow” in the Uranium One deal sources told The Hill.”

Rather than starting to arrest people, or inform Congress, Eric Holder’s Department of Justice kept investigating Putin’s Nuclear corruption in the U.S. for four more years, while Hillary and the Obama administration were conducting two nuclear deals with the Russian despot.

The first decision occurred in October 2010, when the State Department and government agencies on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States unanimously approved the partial sale of Canadian mining company Uranium One to the Russian nuclear giant Rosatom, giving Moscow control of more than 20 percent of America’s uranium supply.

(…) In 2011, the administration gave approval for Rosatom’s Tenex subsidiary to sell commercial uranium to U.S. nuclear power plants in a partnership with the United States Enrichment Corp. Before then, Tenex had been limited to selling U.S. nuclear power plants reprocessed uranium recovered from dismantled Soviet nuclear weapons under the 1990s Megatons to Megawatts peace program.

“The Russians were compromising American contractors in the nuclear industry with kickbacks and extortion threats, all of which raised legitimate national security concerns. And none of that evidence got aired before the Obama administration made those decisions,” a person who worked on the case told The Hill, speaking on condition of anonymity for fear of retribution by U.S. or Russian officials.

The sale of Uranium One and the concurrent hundreds of thousands of dollars of speaking fees to Bubba Clinton and mega donations to the Bubba and Hillary vacation fund the Clinton Family Foundation tied to people in the deal (while Hillary presided over the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States) are all outlined in Clinton Cash.

The Obama administration and the Clintons defended their actions at the time, insisting there was no evidence that any Russians or donors engaged in wrongdoing and there was no national security reason for any member of the committee to oppose the Uranium One deal.

But FBI, Energy Department and court documents reviewed by The Hill show the FBI, in fact, had gathered substantial evidence well before the committee’s decision that Vadim Mikerin — the main Russian overseeing Putin’s nuclear expansion inside the United States — was engaged in wrongdoing starting in 2009.

It gets even more suspect. at the time the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States was approving the Uranium One deal, Attorney General  Eric Holder, whose DOJ had evidence of the Russian Nuclear malfeasance was on that committee. Now in Holder’s defense, there is no evidence proving the AG or anyone else on the committee knew about the investigation–heck at the time Holder may have been busy hiding fast and furious documents.

Vladimir Mikerin was Putin’s main man overseeing the expansion of the Russian nuclear business inside the U.S.

Mikerin was a director of Rosatom’s Tenex in Moscow since the early 2000s, where he oversaw Rosatom’s nuclear collaboration with the United States under the Megatons to Megwatts program and its commercial uranium sales to other countries. In 2010, Mikerin was dispatched to the U.S. on a work visa approved by the Obama administration to open Rosatom’s new American arm called Tenam.

Between 2009 and January 2012, Mikerin “did knowingly and willfully combine, conspire confederate and agree with other persons … to obstruct, delay and affect commerce and the movement of an article and commodity (enriched uranium) in commerce by extortion,” a November 2014 indictment stated (embedded below).

His illegal conduct was captured with the help of a confidential witness, an American businessman, who began making kickback payments at Mikerin’s direction and with the permission of the FBI. The first kickback payment recorded by the FBI through its informant was dated Nov. 27, 2009, the records show.
In the end, this case proved to be an important one to break:
  • It uncovered a new Russian money-laundering apparatus that routed bribe and kickback payments through financial instruments in Cyprus, Latvia, and Seychelles. A Russian financier in New Jersey was among those arrested for the money laundering, court records show.
  • It exposed a serious national security breach: Mikerin had given a contract to an American trucking firm called Transport Logistics International that held the sensitive job of transporting Russia’s uranium around the United States in return for more than $2 million in kickbacks from some of its executives, court records show.

Strangely, however, the DOJ and the FBI were strangely silent  Mikerin, the Russian financier, and the trucking firm executives were arrested and charged. In fact, the only public notices was a year later when the DOJ put out a release saying the defendants copped a plea.

By that time, the criminal cases against Mikerin had been narrowed to a single charge of money laundering for a scheme that officials admitted stretched from 2004 to 2014. And though agents had evidence of criminal wrongdoing they collected since at least 2009, federal prosecutors only cited in the plea agreement a handful of transactions that occurred in 2011 and 2012, well after the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States’s approval.

The final court case also made no mention of any connection to the influence peddling conversations the FBI undercover informant witnessed about the Russian nuclear officials trying to ingratiate themselves with the Clintons even though agents had gathered documents showing the transmission of millions of dollars from Russia’s nuclear industry to an American entity that had provided assistance to Bill Clinton’s foundation, sources confirmed to The Hill.

Ronald Hosko, who served as the assistant FBI director in charge of criminal cases when the investigation was underway said he wasn’t told about the case. Mike Rogers who back then was a congressman from Michigan and Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee was never briefed on the case

“Not providing information on a corruption scheme before the Russian uranium deal was approved by U.S. regulators and engage appropriate congressional committees has served to undermine U.S. national security interests by the very people charged with protecting them,”Rogers said. “The Russian efforts to manipulate our American political enterprise is breathtaking.”

Perhaps the silence was based on the fact that on April 12, 2015, Hillary Clinton announced her intention to succeed Barack Obama.  Based on the latest information about James Comey and the email investigation we know the Obama Administration wouldn’t do anything to make Hillary look bad (she did that on her own).

Illegal Alien Words and Actions Killing Their Own Cause

a

When it comes to illegal aliens, I’ve not been in the camp of “deport ‘em all and let God sort ‘em out.”  But the way some of these trespassers have been acting lately is causing me to have second thoughts.
Democrats on Capitol Hill recently staged a dog-and-pony show featuring insulting, in-your-face, illegal aliens who object to President Donald Trump’s immigration reform policies, especially as it applies to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients.  The so-called “dreamers.”
“The president does not care about our children and our families,” accused Lenka Mendoza, as reported by Breitbart News.  “Trump and his government supposed priorities are nothing else but an anti-immigrant and white-supremacist agenda that don’t solve anything.”
“White-supremacist agenda”?  Somebody needs to read “How to Win Friends and Influence People.”  And it’s not “anti-immigrant.”  It’s anti-ILLEGAL immigrant.  At least be intellectually honest in debating this issue if you want to be taken seriously.
Now here’s the kicker: As Breitbart reports, Mendoza is “an unskilled illegal alien who has been living in the United States for 17 years.”  And yet her smear of Republicans who oppose illegal immigration was delivered by…wait for it…a TRANSLATOR.
Over 17 years Ms. Mendoza hasn’t even taken the time to bother learning English.  Lovely.
A second illegal alien, Ingrid Vaca, then took to the microphone and declared, “DACA was taken away by Trump and his racist advisors, Jeff Sessions and Steven Miller … We will not let racist men negotiate with our kids’ lives. … We will not allow our families to be broken up … A mother’s love is stronger than the racists from the White House.”
These incendiary accusations are absolutely outrageous.  Just because someone supports enforcement of our nation’s existing immigration laws doesn’t make them a racist.  Knock it off.
A third illegal alien, Luis Condorimay, piled on…
“There are politicians in power right now who want to deport my father and my mother, who want to separate me from my little sister. … They say they have heart for us, they say they understand our pain, but all they really want to do is hurt our families and continue to separate us as they have done for the past many years.”
The gigantic flaw in both Vaca’s and Condorimay’s belly-aching is that there’s absolutely no reason whatsoever that any illegal alien family needs to be broken up or separated.  Prospective deportees are more than welcome to take their families with them when they return to their home country.  Problem solved.
For her part, Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi chimed in that the Trump administration’s immigration reform proposals were “trash” and “brutal” as her home state of California moved to become a “sanctuary state.”
None of this is helpful to actually fixing this problem.  And as the illegal alien crowd becomes ever more militant and obnoxious, the odds of Nevadans approving an expected ballot measure to ban sanctuary cities and ditch DACA become more and more likely even among those who are otherwise empathetic to the plight of “dreamers.”
Cool it with the vinegar and try a little honey.

More on That Fox News Fake News Alabama Poll… Featuring Karl Rove

by RAHEEM KASSAM

Last night I happily tore apart the Fox News Alabama poll which visibly placed Democrat candidate Doug Jones at level pegging with conservative Judge Roy Moore.

From the random digit dialling, the tiny sample size, as well as the partisan nature of the pollsters, it should be clear to anyone with half a brain how poor this data is. It’s actually an insult to the Fox News audience that the network would continue to hold this up as reliable.

But wait, there’s more.
As advisor to the Great America Alliance Andy Surabian pointed out late last night, to believe this poll would be to believe that President Trump only has a +1 favorability rating in Alabama.
View image on Twitter
If you believe the Fox News #ALSEN poll, then you have to buy that Trump is only at a +1 fav in ALABAMA. #FakeNewshttp://ift.tt/2yvnXq0 …
Do you see what’s wrong with that, and what it says about the data behind the poll?
According to the pollsters, Shaw & Company (R) and Anderson Robbins (D), the Democratic Party is as popular as President Trump in the solidly red state. I know no better response to such nonsense than: LOL.
I said yesterday how these pollsters were just establishment shills, servicing the Bush administration, working with Lindsay Graham supporters, and even assisting John Kerry.
But wait, there’s more.
Daron Shaw — behind the Shaw & Company organisation that Fox News almost exclusively uses in partnership with Anderson Robbins — is actually an old pal of Karl Rove.
That’s the same Karl Rove who declared “Good Riddance to Steve Bannon” back in August, and who more recently declared Bannon’s plans to primary pseudo-conservative Republicans “insane“.
Rove describes his relationship with Shaw in his book Courage and Consequence, and numerous other tomes from the 2000s have reflected upon Shaw’s use for the Republican establishment.
In other words, Shaw has a vested interest in proving Rove right and Bannon wrong. If the GOP establishment fails to scupper the hopes of the MAGA base, it effectively leaves them penniless, as donors to groups like the Senate Leadership Fund start questioning where their money goes, and why they should give in the first instance. That, since Alabama’s primary, has already been happening.
As my friend Ned Ryun writes in his piece in The Hill today:
To step back from all the weeping and gnashing of teeth, the fact is that Steve Bannon’s work is protecting the GOP majorities and — dare I say — holding the Republican party true to the values it has proclaimed in the past.
To continue down this path of intentional inability, failing utterly and completely to govern by the principles espoused on the campaign trail, is to virtually guarantee failure and losses in 2018. It cannot continue: you can either save the majorities in Congress or inept leadership. You cannot save both. Donald Trump’s election was a near miss that spared us a Clinton presidency, which would have edified and advanced everything done in the Obama era. So perhaps, spurred by fear and desire for self-preservation, maybe, just maybe, the Republicans in D.C. might just muster up the two ounces of courage needed to pass items that many Americans agree with.

Senate Judiciary opens probe into Obama-era Russian nuclear bribery case

BY JOHN SOLOMON

Sessions says Justice to review uranium deal
The Senate Judiciary Committee has launched a probe into a Russian nuclear bribery case, demanding several federal agencies disclose whether they knew the FBI had uncovered the corruption before the Obama administration in 2010 approved a controversial uranium deal with Moscow.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the committee chairman, on Wednesday raised the issue in public during questioning of Attorney General Jeff Sessions during an oversight hearing.
The senator cited a series of The Hill stories that showed the FBI had evidence that Russian nuclear officials were involved in a racketeering scheme as early as 2009, well before the uranium deal was approved.
"According to government documents and recent news reports, the Justice Department had an ongoing criminal investigation for bribery, extortion, money laundering, into officials for a Russian company making purchase of Uranium One," Grassley said. "That purchase was approved during previous administration and resulted in Russians owning 20 percent of America's uranium mining capacity.
"What are you doing to find out how Russian takeover of American uranium was allowed to occur despite criminal conduct by Russian company that the Obama administration approved to make the purchase?" he asked Sessions.
Sessions responded: "I would offer that some people have gone to jail in that transaction already, but the article talks about other issues. Without confirming or denying existence of any particular investigation, I would say I hear your concerns and they will be reviewed."
Senate Judiciary aides said the committee had sent requests for information to 10 federal agencies involved in the Russian uranium approvals.
The committee is discussing other bipartisan requests to make in the coming days, and Grassley also is expected to seek access to potential witnesses soon, escalating from the information requests he made a few years back, according to people familiar with the investigation.
The senator also specifically conveyed in recent letters he no longer accepts the Obama administration's assurances from 2015 that there was no basis to block the Uranium One deal.
"I am not convinced by these assurances," Grassley wrote the Homeland Security Department last week. "The sale of Uranium One resulted in a Russian government takeover of a significant portion of U.S. uranium mining capacity. In light of that fact, very serious questions remain about the basis for the finding that this transaction did not threaten to impair U.S. national security."
Though Wednesday's hearing was scheduled for other purposes, aides said they expected Grassley to ask Sessions questions about a story published in The Hill on Tuesday that disclosed the FBI had uncovered evidence showing Russian nuclear officials were engaged in a racketeering scheme involving bribes, kickbacks and money laundering designed to expand Russian President Vladimir Putin's atomic energy business on U.S. soil.
The evidence was first gathered in 2009 and 2010, but Department of Justice officials waited until 2014 to bring any charges. In between that time, President Obama's multi-agency Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) gave approval to Russia's Rosatom to buy a Canadian mining company called Uranium One that controlled 20 percent of America's uranium deposits.
The committee's members at the time included former Attorney General Eric Holder and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, whose husband, former President Bill Clinton, collected large speech fees and millions in charitable donations from Russia and other entities interested in the outcome of the decision.
Grassley dispatched letters last week to all the federal agencies whose executives served on the CFIUS when the decision was made, demanding to know whether they were aware of the FBI case before they voted.
He also questioned whether the documented corruption that was uncovered posed a national security threat that should have voided approval of the uranium deal.
"It has recently come to the Committee’s attention that employees of Rosatom were involved in a criminal enterprise involving a conspiracy to commit extortion and money laundering during the time of the CFIUS transaction," Grassley wrote in one such letter addressed to Sessions.
"The fact that Rosatom subsidiaries in the United States were under criminal investigation as a result of a U.S. intelligence operation apparently around the time CFIUS approved the Uranium One/Rosatom transaction raises questions about whether that information factored into CFIUS’ decision to approve the transaction," the chairman added.
Grassley has been one of the few congressional leaders to have consistently raised questions about the uranium deal, and in 2015 agencies told his committee they had no national security reasons to reject the Moscow approval.
Those representations, however, made no mention of the FBI probe or the national security issues uncovered by agents, including the fact that Russian officials had compromised an American trucking firm that transported uranium.
Grassley's letters demanded answers from the agencies by no later than Oct. 26.

In Case You Missed It, the NFL Might Have Caved on a Lot More Than Just the Anthem Protests

by DYLAN GWINN

AP Photo/Phil Long

It’s safe to say, that when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wrote a memo to the league informing them it was time to “move past the anthem controversy.” Most people thought he meant moving past it by ending the protests, and, as a result, ending the controversy. However, a disturbing nugget of information from today’s meeting suggests that Goodell might have meant something else entirely.

ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio caught up with Goodell after the four-hour meeting with the owners and player representatives. Paolantonio asked Goodell if the league had asked the players to commit to standing for the anthem. Goodell’s response, did not inspire confidence.
“We did not ask for that, Sal. No. We spent today talking about the issues that our players have been trying to bring attention to, about issues in our communities to make our communities better. I think we all agree there’s nothing more important than getting back into our communities and trying to make our communities better. That was the entire focus today,” Goodell said.
Huh? How exactly is one to move past the anthem controversy, if no one brings up stopping the anthem controversy?
Also, how about the statement that “we all agree there’s nothing more important than getting back into our communities and trying to make our communities better.” Last time I checked, Roger Goodell was the commissioner of a football league. Now, the highest calling of the  National Football League, is community revitalization? How did this happen?
Put Goodell’s Chuck Schumer impersonation together with the news that he, and Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin, have sent a joint letter to Capitol Hill in favor of prison reform. And one starts getting the distinct impression that the NFL is paying for a cessation in protesting by turning themselves into a George Soros shadow company.
Which brings up another very important, yet very uncomfortable fact: No matter how this turns out for the protesters, they win. They beat the NFL.
Look at what’s happening here: NFL owners who are so panicky over ratings and empty stadiums are sitting there for four hours in the middle of the season, allowing players and their representatives to decide how to spend their money.
Or, I’m sorry, your money.
Yes, surely at some point in the future NFL players will be required to stand for the anthem, and Amen to that. But let me ask you this question: is forcing the players to stand for the anthem worth it? If in exchange, the NFL becomes a piggy bank for every left-wing activist group in America?
Because make no mistake about it, that’s exactly what’s happening here.
Think back to earlier in the month, remember the story about all the George Soros affiliated groups the NFLPA gave charitable donations to? DeMaurice Smith, the head of the NFLPA and a well-known contributor to Democrats in his own right, was essentially bankrolling every anti-Trump organizations. In addition to groups affiliated with Planned Parenthood, and a whole host of other awful things.
Now imagine DeMaurice Smith flushed with millions of additional dollars in blackmail money from NFL owners who are willing to pay anything to make the Kaepernick-clones go away.
Think about it, is that really a better alternative than just letting the anthem protests continue?
Don’t misunderstand, nothing boils the blood of this Army and 9/11 FDNY veteran more than watching a bunch of millionaire ingrates disgrace the country which gave them the freedoms they clearly don’t deserve. However, I’d sooner watch an entire team take a knee at every game for the next ten years. As opposed to hearing about a Chicago or Detroit abortion clinic that would have otherwise closed, yet was able to remain open because of a donation from the NFL that somehow found its way into their hands.
Nor would I deem it acceptable if all players stood for the anthem, yet money from the league found its way to an anti-Trump organization that used it to buy TV ads which helped turn a key swing state. Or, helped to get some radical abortionist elected to the Senate.
As reprehensible as these anthem protests are, they have no real impact on anything. Except to destroy the NFL’s favored-nation status among American sports leagues. Which, honestly, who cares? Former NFL fans seem to have had no problem filling their Sundays, Monday night, and Thursday evenings with other things.
However, the ransom money the players will demand from the league in order to stop the protests, could have a real and terrible impact on many.
Ask yourself, what’s the worst thing that will happen if the NFL were to walk away from the table? What if they told the players to go ahead and protest to their heart’s content? What would the players do?
In the last three weeks, the San Francisco 49ers have had 30 players protest, then 23, then 7. Even ESPN didn’t show the anthem on Monday Night Football. The fact is these protests are already on their way out. It was always a fad, a one-hit wonder. Now that the networks have stopped showing it and the attention-seeking players have becoming hip to the fact that their antics will soon hit them in the wallet. Suddenly, no one wants to protest anymore.
So why should the NFL pay a King’s Ransom for the proverbial dead body?
The Star-Spangled Banner was written during a battle where the flag was quite literally being used for target practice by an invading army. If the flag survived that, it can survive Colin Kaepernick’s clone army. Will we survive all the awful leftist politicians the NFL’s ransom money could buy?
That’s far less certain.

Alexander-Murray Healthcare Deal ‘Second Largest Expansion of Federal Abortion Funding’

by DR. SUSAN BERRY
OM WILLIAMS VIA GETTY IMAGES

A healthcare policy analyst warns Republicans the “bipartisan” health care deal engineered by Sens. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Patty Murray (D-WA) represents the “second largest expansion of federal abortion funding, behind only Obamacare itself.”

Christopher Jacobs, CEO of Juniper Research Group, writes at the Federalist:
Coming on a week when Senate Republican leaders seek to pass a budget precluding another attempt to defund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, the Alexander-Murray deal would not only fail to advance the pro-life cause, it would, by extending subsidies to insurers who cover abortions, actively undermine it.
Jacobs explains that, unless Alexander directly adds the Hyde Amendment – which prohibits federal taxpayer funding for most abortions – to the bill, “the cost-sharing reduction payments to insurers will be used to fund plans that cover abortion.”
“There is little reason to believe Murray would endorse such a restriction,” writes Jacobs. “If the Hyde Amendment restrictions apply to the cost-sharing reduction payments to insurers, then in order to receive said payments, it is likely insurers would have to stop offering abortion coverage on exchanges—an outcome Murray, and Democrats, would not wish to countenance.”
Jacobs observes the “bipartisan” bill would provide about $3 to $4 billion for the remainder of the current calendar year, and $10 to $11 billion for each of years 2018 and 2019.
“These significant sums would surely represent the second-largest expansion of federal abortion funding, behind only Obamacare itself,” he asserts.
With this in mind, the pro-life  Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced Wednesday its opposition to the “bipartisan” healthcare deal.
“The legislation proposed by Sens. Alexander and Murray would do nothing more than prop up Obamacare, the largest expansion of abortion on-demand since Roe,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “This is an inadequate, short-sighted approach which fails to address the abortion funding problems created by the health care overhaul.”
Dannenfelser continued:
Right now nearly 900 health care plans subsidized by taxpayer dollars cover abortion – forcing taxpayers to be complicit in the destruction of human life.
In no way does the Alexander-Murray bill fulfill Republicans’ campaign promise to repeal and replace the ACA. That’s why Congress must use reconciliation to address all of the issues, including abortion-funding, in Obamacare.
President Donald Trump spoke in opposition to the Alexander-Murray deal Wednesday, stating, “I won’t do anything to enrich the insurance companies because right now the insurance companies are being enriched.”
“They’ve been enriched by Obamacare like nothing anybody has ever seen before,” the president said.
The SBA List’s announcement of its opposition to the Alexander-Murray deal comes as the Trump administration has released a strategic plan for the years 2018-2022 that clearly asserts its pro-life guiding principle that life begins at conception.
“HHS accomplishes its mission through programs and initiatives that cover a wide spectrum of activities, serving and protecting Americans at every stage of life, beginning at conception,” the document located at the website of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services states.
Trump has also recently fulfilled his promise to end the controversial Obamacare contraceptive mandate for Americans with religious or moral objections to providing contraception, sterilization procedures, and abortifacient drugs through health insurance plans.
Additionally, the Trump administration has said it “strongly supports” the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act that now awaits a vote in the Senate following the House’s approval.
The bill would prohibit most abortions past the fifth month of pregnancy in the United States.
Dannenfelser says it is time for the United States to join the vast number of other nations that protect unborn babies from late-term abortion.
“The United States is one of only seven nations, including China and North Korea, that allow babies in the womb to be killed for any reason up until the moment of birth,” she observes. “Protecting unborn children after five months – more than halfway through pregnancy, a point when science shows they can feel the excruciating pain of late-term abortion – is compassionate and popular.”
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the Senate will vote on the Pain-Capable bill, but has provided no timeframe for a vote.
The legislation is “supported by virtually all of my members, and we expect to have a vote on it at some point,” he said.
However, with only 52 GOP senators – and 60 votes needed for the bill’s approval – Republicans may be unlikely to convince eight of their Democratic colleagues to join with them to pass the measure. All 45 of the bill’s co-sponsors are Republicans. Three Democrats voted with Republicans in the House to pass the legislation.
Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ), who introduced the bill in the House, is urging McConnell to call for a straight up-or-down vote on the bill, asserting the Majority Leader has “stunningly allowed Democrats to use arcane Senate rules to gridlock this incredibly reasonable pro-life bill just as they were determined to gridlock a pro-life justice like Neil Gorsuch.”
“Mr. McConnell’s correct actions to force an up or down vote on Neil Gorsuch have demonstrated that the principled debate on this asinine 60-vote rule (that Democrats will change when they regain control) is now over,” Franks said.

Top Dem Caught In $1Million Scandal

Adam Selene
Since the election of former-President Obama in 2008, the Democrat Party has lost over 1,000 positions in federal and state legislatures, governorships, and now, the presidency. A Republican-leaning Super PAC is hoping to increase that number even further.

The GOP-aligned Senate Leadership Fund is aggressively targeting Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) in their campaign to ensure an even larger Republican majority in the Senate. According to an ad released by the Super PAC, Sen. Manchin spent over $1 million renovating the West Virginia’s governor’s mansion after he was elected to the position in 2005, as reported by The Washington Free Beacon.

According to the political ad, titled “Manchin’s Mansion,” the former West Virginia governor spent $1 million to completely transform his new residence. Upgrades to the mansion included the installation of a whirlpool spa tub, 12 big screen televisions, and a complete overhaul of the master bedroom including installing a “sit-down steam shower and a walk-in closet.”

Other improvements to the mansion included turning the building’s third floor into a “game room and media center” featuring eight high-definition TVs, with one massive 50-inch flatscreen. At the time of the renovations in 2005, these flat-screen televisions would have cost thousands of dollars.

Two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and a kitchen were also added to the third floor in addition to a full bar and liquor storage area.

A spokesman for Manchin defended the entertainment room, explaining it was business related. “What you have to look at is, can it all be used for entertainment? Yes, but more importantly it can all be used for business,” explained Manchin’s spokesman.

According to the Senate Leadership Fund, Manchin also upgraded the governor’s mansion’s estate by erecting a massive party tent in the backyard. The tent featured seats for 150 people, a hardwood dance floor, five chandeliers, and a red carpet. Manchin’s spokesman described the party tent as “an extension of the mansion.” The tent was completely climate-controlled and included temporary bathrooms. The party tent remained on the property throughout Manchin’s time as governor.
However, according to the West Virginia Ethics Commission, Manchin never received permissions to make alterations to the governor’s mansion.
Some of Manchin’s renovations resulted in changes to the structure of the historic West Virginia mansion. Manchin ordered the demolition of a sunroom to create a doorway, providing easy access from the mansion to the party tent.

While no taxpayer money was spent financing the extravagant tent, it has been reported that Manchin’s annual holiday parties alone cost taxpayers around $70,000 each year.

According to Fox News, since 2008, Democrats have lost 1,048 posts that they once held, including seats in the House of Representatives and the United States Senate. Now, the Senate Leadership Fund is hoping to continue that trend by targeting Democrat Senators in tightly contested States.

The Super PAC has spent $500,000 on a digital campaign that plans to target Senators Claire McCaskill (D-MO), and Joe Donnelly (D-IN), in addition to Manchin. The Senate Leadership Fund has constructed websites dedicated to highlighting the greatest vulnerabilities of the incumbent Democrats.

All eyes are on the 2018 midterm elections, which will serve as a sort of referendum on President Trump. If Republicans increase their control of the House or Senate, it will send a clear message to the White House that America supports President Trump’s agenda.

Florida Dem Who Criticized Trump for Disrespecting Soldier's Widow Has Terrible Record of Helping Vets

Florida Dem Who Criticized Trump for Disrespecting Soldier's Widow Has Terrible Record of Helping Vets
It turns out the Florida Democrat who criticized President Trump this week for making insensitive remarks toward the widow of a fallen U.S. soldier doesn’t exactly have a great track record herself when it comes to helping veterans.

Congresswoman Frederica Wilson has repeatedly voted against bills that help veterans and their families, according to VoteSmart.org.

The measures that Wilson opposed included a bill that could have ensured that families of four soldiers slain in Afghanistan in 2013 received death and burial benefits. […]

Despite Wilson's claim to be “committed to honoring our service members, not only with words but with deeds,” she has voted against most bills ensuring continued funding for veteran benefits, including payments to widows of fallen soldiers, the vote-tracking site shows.
She has also opposed measures designed to improve the Department of Veterans Affairs.

In March 2013, Wilson opposed the “Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act,” which prevented a government shutdown and provided funds for the U.S. military and the VA.

The bill, which passed with bipartisan support and was signed into law by the Obama administration, provided funding to the military and the VA until the next government shutdown showdown. […]

Later in the year, Wilson again voted against a resolution aimed at ensuring benefits paid to the veterans and their families would not be affected by the government shutdown in October that year. […]

The congresswoman also opposed numerous bills aimed at improving VA services provided the veterans and their families. (FoxNews.com)
Wilson accused Trump of telling Myeshia Johnson, the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, who was killed in Niger last week, that her husband “knew what he signed up for … but when it happens, it hurts anyway.”

Trump called the congresswoman’s account of what he said “totally fabricated.”

“Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof),” the president said on Twitter. “Sad!”

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also called Wilson’s use of the widow to criticize Trump “appalling and disgusting.”
