Morris & McGann: Was Trump Tower Meeting with Don Jr. a Setup?
by DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN
The Associated Press
Associates of Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya arranged a June 9, 2016, meeting with President Trump’s son, Donald Jr., luring him to attend by promising “dirt” on Hillary Clinton.
But there was no dirt whatsoever produced at the meeting. Instead, the Russians’ chief concern appeared to be seeking support for canceling American sanctions against certain Russians, a major obsession of the Kremlin.
There were some curious circumstances surrounding the appointment. Right before the meeting with Trump Jr., Veselnitskaya huddled with Glenn Simpson, the head of Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm hired by the Clinton campaign. After the meeting, they apparently met once again, perhaps to debrief Simpson.
Fusion had also been working on Veselnitskaya’s Kremlin-supported team to repeal the Magnitsky Act, which originally imposed the sanctions.
Why did Simpson want to keep such close tabs on what happened in the Trump Tower meeting?
Could it be that this meeting — whose content was a non-event — was staged simply so that there could be an incident involving Trump’s son and the Russians ? That would allow Democrats to claim the collusion was planned. Without a meeting, it’s hard to prove a conspiracy or collusion.
So was the purpose of the meeting to supply the missing piece in their collusion allegations?
Remember that Fusion had hired ex-British spy, Christopher Steele to develop a dossier on Trump’s activities in Russia. According to Steele, he was hired in June 2016.
Only a week after the Trump Tower meeting, Steele sent his first memo on June 16, 2017. One of the central points in the three pages was that the Kremlin was providing Trump with negative material on Hillary.
The dossier stated that “the Kremlin had been feeding valuable information about Hillary Clinton” to the Trump campaign.
But there was no “valuable information” about Clinton exchanged at the Trump Tower meeting. Nevertheless, it’s easy to see why the Russians — and possibly Fusion, too — wanted to be able to point to a meeting where it could say that the material was being passed.
Once the initial memo was written, Steele sent it to his contacts at the FBI. He had earlier worked with the FBI on the FIFA soccer scandal. It was because of Steele’s connection to the FBI that he was chosen. His earlier work gave him credibility and stature — regardless of the truthfulness of the allegations.
Steele faithfully sent his dossier to the FBI, although he admitted in court that the material was not verified and needed further investigation.
No matter. The Trump Tower meeting set up a basis for the collusion and no one knew that Steele didn’t know whether the material was true or where it came from. Later, under oath, Steele said that he received “unsolicited” information that he included in his dossier. In this case, it may have come from his Fusion paymasters (who got the money from Hillary’s campaign).
Think about it: Who else would know to send unsolicited material that was relevant to the dossier to Steele?
This raises the larger question of whether Fusion, itself, was the source of much of the dossier it had been paid to amass. Did it fabricate the entire house of cards, spinning a yarn that was to preoccupy American politics for over a year and endanger a presidency?
Exclusive: Woman Who Worked for Moore in Her Teens Shakes Left’s Narrative
BY BEN MARQUIS
By now, most of our readers have heard the allegations put forward by The Washington Post against Alabama’s former chief justice and Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore.
The report cited four different women who claimed to have been approached by a 30-something-year-old Moore when they were teenagers in the late 1970s.
The report cited four different women who claimed to have been approached by a 30-something-year-old Moore when they were teenagers in the late 1970s.
The media, Democrats and even a number of establishment Republicans are now demanding that Moore step aside from his Senate run, which would essentially hand the open seat over to his Democrat opponent.
But in an exclusive interview with an executive at Conservative Tribune, a woman in Alabama identified only as “Beth” has shared her account of working with Roy Moore as a teenager, and her story differs quite a bit from the narrative put forward by the liberal media. Beth gave permission for her remarks to be shared and the only changes made were to grammar and punctuation.
“Yes, I absolutely believe (the) Judge is innocent!” Beth declared. “I’ve known him and his family for years. I was a teenager when I first started working in his campaign. And he always honored and respected me and all the others. I always felt safe around him, I never once felt uncomfortable.”
“And even if I didn’t know him personally, I would find it suspicious that these women are just now coming out with this,” she continued. “He’s been running for office for the past 17 years and been a judge for even longer. So why, if this did happen … why didn’t they come out about this before now? They’ve had plenty of chances.”
“I just find it odd with as many times as he has run for office over the past several years none of this has come out,” she added. “I don’t think it is a coincidence that all this is being said one month before the election. Polls were showing Moore way ahead of Jones, then next thing you know all this s*** is coming out.”
Beth explained how she worked closely with Moore during his first campaign to become chief justice, as it was only her and the campaign manager in the Birmingham, Alabama office, with a few others working on the campaign from Gadsden.
“So I worked real close with him,” she said. “He invited all the staff over for cookouts and dinners and stuff at his house. So if he was like that he had plenty of opportunities.”
Beth stated that she also worked on some of his other campaigns for office, though to a lesser extent than before, and noted that she stayed in touch with him and his family for years afterward, even volunteering her time at Moore’s Foundation of Moral Law.
“He even tried to hook me up with one of his lawyers that worked for him,” Beth revealed. “It did not work out, but I was close with them.”
“I went to a play with that guy and the Moore’s and others around Christmas time,” she added. “All this was years ago, but still … I know him enough to know he is not like that.”
As to why it appeared as though Moore had been targeted by a “hit piece” from the liberal media and establishment Republicans, Beth replied, “It’s because he stands up for God and biblical truths and the Constitution. They don’t want him in office because he won’t be in anybody’s pocket or their lap dog.”
This young woman worked for years with Judge Roy Moore — at times with few, if any, other people around. If Moore really was some sort of predatory older man looking to take advantage of innocent and naive teenage girls, he had all of the opportunity to do so with Beth … yet he didn’t.
Beth’s recollection of her time with Moore significantly undercuts the liberal media narrative against the judge, a narrative that was on shaky ground to begin with.
The bulk of the allegations against Moore put forth by The Post were from a woman named Leigh Corfman, who even The Post had to admit had credibility issues stemming from her turbulent background.
But on top of that, an exclusive interview from Breitbart with Corfman’s mother, Nancy Wells, casts even more doubt on her unverifiable story.
Corfman had claimed that she gave Moore her phone number and that he had called her to arrange a date on the phone in her bedroom. But Wells revealed that Corfman didn’t have a phone in her bedroom during that period of time.
Perhaps more troubling is Wells’ statement that Corfman never had any intentions of going public with this story, but was convinced to do so by reporters from the Post, who in their piece acknowledge interviewing Corfman at least six different times, potentially even pressuring her to speak out.
Wells made it abundantly clear that it was only because she had been contacted by reporters that she decided to publicly share her tale, and when asked about a possible motivation for doing so, Wells replied, “It wasn’t done for politics, you know. It was done for personal reasons. And it wouldn’t have been done if the reporters hadn’t contacted my daughter.”
As for the claim that “politics” played no role in her decision to speak out against Moore, some enlightening information uncovered by GotNews about Corfman’s son, Garner Polston, may undermine that claim somewhat.
A quick perusal of Polston’s social media postings revealed that he was proudly anti-Trump, made disparaging remarks about former Alabama Sen. and current Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and made a habit of sharing anti-law enforcement, anti-religion and pro-atheism posts from others.
Obviously, the actions of the son can’t necessarily be pinned on the mother, but she was also said to have made anti-law enforcement comments in the past, such as when police shut down a prom party her son had attended.
As for Judge Roy Moore himself, he has consistently denied the allegations put forward against him, and said they “are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign.”
Moore added, “This garbage is the very definition of fake news and intentional defamation.”
As a final note, more than a few skeptical people have taken note of the timing of this story being dropped, roughly one month ahead of a critical special election and mere days after ballots had been finalized and there was no way Moore could be replaced as the Republican nominee.
Those on the right who are demanding Moore step aside from his candidacy — even as none of the allegations against him can be proven or verified — are essentially demanding that he concede defeat and hand the seat formerly occupied by Sessions to a Democrat that doesn’t represent a majority of Alabama voters.
We have seen this sort of hit job from the liberal media before — who can forget the numerous accusers against then-candidate Donald Trump a month before the election who strangely fell silent weeks later — but the people have grown wise to these kinds of shenanigans and smear pieces, and they don’t work as well as they used to anymore.
On Dec. 12, voters in Alabama will decide whether they believe Moore or his accuser from nearly 40 years ago.
Please share this on Facebook and Twitter so everyone can see what this former young volunteer for Roy Moore’s political campaigns had to say about the allegations of sexual impropriety put forward against him.
Pat Buchanan to Republicans on Roy Moore: ‘I Would Leave This Up to the People of Alabama to Decide’
by JEFF POOR
Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Your World,” conservative commentator Pat Buchanan explained to host Neil Cavuto why congressional Republicans should have a sense of urgency in getting tax reform done, and it is tied to the outcome of the December 12 special election for U.S. Senate in Alabama.
If the bill is not passed before the December 12 election, Buchanan said it could get lost in the debate of whether or not to seat Roy Moore, the embattled Republican candidate in Alabama, if he should emerge as the winner. Buchanan also urged GOP lawmakers to let the people of Alabama decide the fate of Moore given most have already made it known how they feel about Moore’s situation.
“Well, I’m not sure when whoever wins in December takes office exactly, but you’re exactly right,” Buchanan said. “I would sure get that all done. You have to have it done I think before the new year because you could have Roy Moore in the United States Senate and them arguing about whether to seat him or not. But I would really — if I was the Republican Party, I would leave this up to the people of Alabama to decide in December. We could have a lot more coming out.”

Limbaugh: ‘Search-and-Destroy Mission’ Against Roy Moore Is Really About Mitch McConnell Sending Steve Bannon a Message
by JEFF POOR
Tuesday on his nationally syndicated radio show, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh said the recent sexual misconduct allegations aimed at former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore had been inspired by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who had backed Moore’s former opponent Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL) in the earlier primary contests.
Limbaugh explained how it was his opinion those charges were meant to send a message to former Donald Trump chief strategist and Breitbart chief executive Steve Bannon, who has publicly said he seeks to take on all Republicans that back McConnell as Senate Majority Leader.
“Whether Judge Moore did the deed or deeds or not, what’s really happening here folks, if you really want to know – it’s a multi-faceted search-and-destroy mission here,” Limbaugh said. “But what’s really driving this – do not doubt me about this. But what’s really driving this is Mitch McConnell saying to Steve Bannon, ‘Really? You think you’re going to get your guys elected? You think you are going to get your guys elected and me kicked out of here? Really? Seriously? OK, watch this.’”
– Trump did not endorse him, but Steve Bannon, I don’t know – endorsed, chose, go behind, supports, what have you,” he continued. “And Bannon has been very upfront about the objective he has, and that’s to get Mitch McConnell out of the Senate. And so I don’t think – even if all we had was one allegation against Judge Moore, this was going to be it for Judge Moore. It didn’t matter because this is now being used to send a message to Bannon and his group that you just – you think you’re going to get rid of me, well take a look at what’s going to happen every time you try. So that clearly is a factor here.”
BREAKING: Powerful Dem Caught In Major Scandal, He Should Resign
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel might be in trouble.
The Better Government Association recently reported that the mayor inflated the graduation rates of Chicago’s colleges. According to the report, the City Colleges of Chicago awarded thousands of degrees even though enrollment in the community college system had decreased at a drastic rate.
Mayor Emanuel has often stated that one of his biggest accomplishments was that he reinvented the City Colleges of Chicago. The mayor claimed that the graduation rates and a number of degrees awarded have skyrocketed since he took office.
Specifically, Emanuel has claimed that the graduation rate has increased from 7 percent to 17 percent as a result of his policies. However, all is not as it seems.
According to the Better Government Association (BGA), a nonpartisan watchdog group, Emanuel’s boasts are not based in reality. In their report, they write,
“City Colleges has watered down its curriculum, violated its own rules on what constitutes a degree, changed the way it counts statistics and bestowed thousands of degrees — sometimes in multiples to the same person — to current and former students who in many cases neither requested nor wanted them, the investigation found.”
The BGA conducted an investigation that lasted for months. They found that the mayor attempted to create the “appearance of success at a college system where enrollment this year hit a 25-year low.” Student enrollment was down 35 percent since Emanuel took office in 2011. Interestingly, the colleges report that the number of degrees awarded has increased, even though overall enrollment has decreased.
The BGA’s report states that the college system awarded 5,010 degrees, which is more than double the annual amount before Emanuel became mayor. What concerned BGA was the fact that many graduates who they interviewed stated that they were given degrees that they didn’t know they had earned. These were degrees the students did not need.
In one case, a 73-year-old alumni was retroactively awarded an Associate in General Studies degree in 2015. The degree was awarded based mostly on classes she took in the 1990s.
“I got an Associate of Arts Degree there in 1994, with honors, but nothing since,” she stated. “It makes me sad that they would do such a thing, but this degree means nothing to me.”
In another instance, a former student was unaware of being awarded a degree. She earned an Associate of Arts degree in 2014, but college records reveal that she was also awarded an Associate in General Studies in 2015.
The former student claims she never received the degree. “I never got that degree. All I got was an AA…nobody ever called me,” she said. “Nobody ever said anything to me. All I have is an AA framed on my wall, I swear.”
According to faculty council President Jennifer Alexander, “They have manipulated data to score political points on the backs of our students.”
The results of this study further demonstrate the utter corruption that is rampant in Chicago’s government. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that Emmanuel will suffer any consequences for deliberately working the college system to further his political agenda. However, the more this level of malfeasance is exposed, the less likely it is that people will be taken in by politicians like Emanuel.
The Clinton's Liberal Media Friends Turn On Them
A number of prominent liberals and journalists have recently called for a reevaluation of the merit of the sexual assault allegations against former Democratic President Bill Clinton.
"I Believe Juanita," wrote liberal New York Times journalist Michelle Goldberg, arguing that Juanita Broaddrick's claim of having been raped by Bill Clinton in an Arkansas hotel room rang true after dozens of women leveled similar accusations at Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Still, Goldberg argued she was justified in disbelieving the claims against Clinton during his presidency, arguing it was Republicans' fault for pushing conspiracies that made her discount other, more credible claims.
The Atlantic‘s Caitlin Flanagan also called for a "reckoning" of Clinton. "Feminists saved the 42nd president of the United States in the 1990," she wrote. "They were on the wrong side of history…"

Trump’s Approval Rating Skyrockets After Successful Asia Trip
BY BEN MARQUIS
President Donald Trump was in the Philippines on Monday as part of the final stop on a whirlwind, 12-day tour of Asia that included warm receptions by the gracious hosts of Japan, South Korea, China and Vietnam, according to Fox News.
Unsurprisingly, the devoutly anti-Trump mainstream media has chosen to nit-pick any and everything they can find wrong with his trip — from allegedly over-feeding fish in a koi pond in Japan to supposedly being “played” by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of an economic summit, and of course, Trump’s tweets.
But anyone who paid attention to the various events Trump participated in along his journey know that the trip actually went exceedingly well, as he was given honor respect at every stop and delivered powerful speeches that laid out his vision for U.S.-Indo-Pacific relations going forward.
Unlike the media, which has downplayed and dismissed the trip, it appears the American people realized how much of a success it really was. The president’s approval rating has trended upward over the duration of his being overseas, according to the Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll.
The latest update of that poll showed that 46 percent of likely voters approved of the job Trump has done so far, as opposed to 53 percent who disapprove.
Looking deeper, some 30 percent of likely voters “strongly approve” of Trump and 44 percent “strongly disapprove. By comparison, just five days ago — Nov. 8 — those “strong” numbers were 26 percent approve and 49 percent disapprove, respectively, meaning Trump is moving in the right direction.
More broadly, factoring in all of the major polls, the Real Clear Politics average placed Trump’s job approval for the week that ended Nov. 11 at 38.8 percent, with 56.3 percent registering their disapproval.
But even that compilation of polls — many of which are stacked against the president — showed an upward trend over the final leg of Trump’s Asia trip, as the average rating on Nov. 8 was 38.2 percent approve to 56.8 disapprove.
Aside from the incredibly friendly and respectful reception Trump received from his hosts at each stop along the trip, one reason Trump’s approval ratings have turned upward may be the plethora of business deals he helped forge and finalize along the way.
At each point along the trip, Trump emphasized his outlook on trade going forward — and it was decidedly “America First” — with a focus on fair and reciprocal bilateral trade between the U.S. and our many allies and friends in the region, not multilateral agreements unfairly stacked against the U.S.
Coinciding with that were at least 37 major business deals totaling more than $250 billion linked by an accompanying delegation of American business leaders in China alone, according to CNBC.
“American businesses are the most innovative in the world and, when given access, can compete with anyone,” stated Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, who has been by Trump’s side throughout the trip. “I believe these deals can provide a solid foundation for a stronger relationship that is more free, fair, and reciprocal between the U.S. and China.”
To be sure, more deals were likely signed in the other nations Trump stopped in, although details on those agreements have yet to be released.
Those business deals — and many others to follow, no doubt — will pump hundreds of billions of dollars into the U.S. economy, work to lessen the trade imbalance between the U.S. and China, among others, and help create an untold number of jobs for American workers over the coming years.
Without the use of a “magic wand” — ala a dismissive former President Barack Obama — Trump has helped unleash our nation’s economy through a combination of good faith negotiations and economic pressure, and if the polls tell us anything, the people are taking notice of that fact.
Please share this on Facebook and Twitter so everyone can see that President Trump’s approval numbers are improving as he reaches the end of his successful trip around Asia.
China Urges Rural Christians to Replace Jesus Images with Xi Jinping
by FRANCES MARTEL
AFP/GREG BAKER
Chinese officials and residents in a rural area of Jiangxi province have revealed a government plan to “melt the hard ice” in the hearts of Christians towards communism by denying them pivotal poverty relief packages if they do not replace images of Jesus in their households with photos of President Xi Jinping.
One official stated that the move was necessary because Christians are “ignorant” and need to be taught to worship the state, not God.
The move is the latest in a string of crackdowns against Christianity in the Xi era. Xi’s regime views Christianity, which has experienced a popularity boom in the past decade, as a challenge to the supremacy of the Communist Party’s growing cult of personality around Xi himself.
The South China Morning Post first picked up on the social media posting that revealed the program, noting that the post showed someone replacing their Christian images with Xi Jinping’s official headshot and praised local Communist Party officials for having transformed locals “from believing in religion to believing in the party.”
The social media post tracked efforts in the town of Huangjinbu, in southeastern Jiangxi province. It claimed that up to 600 residents had “voluntarily” replaced their images of Jesus, resulting in 453 new photos of Xi hanging on living room walls.
The Washington Post, which also reported on the post, noted that Communist Party officials in Yugan county in Jiangxi, where Huangjinbu is located, had noted with panic the rapid growth of the region’s Christian population an expressed “a sense of crisis” about it in a regional meeting in October. This new effort may have been a result of brainstorming to solve the problem of more people believing in Jesus than communism.
The South China Morning Post confirmed the efforts with Qi Yan, identified as “chairman of the Huangjinbu people’s congress.”
“Many rural people are ignorant. They think God is their savior. … After our cadres’ work, they’ll realise their mistakes and think: we should no longer rely on Jesus, but on the party for help,” Qi told the newspaper. Some, he added, became Christians due to “illness in the family,” which the communists argue can only be cured through “the Communist Party and General Secretary Xi.”
Qi claimed that the government has only forced individuals to place photos of Xi over their Christian images in “the center of their home,” not their bedrooms or other private areas.
A local resident, which the South China Morning Post identified as “Liu,” stated that many families were forced to remove their images because they would otherwise not receive their poverty relief packages, putting their lives in jeopardy.
Christian persecution has become a hallmark of Xi-era Chinese Communist Party (CPC) rule, both due to Xi’s efforts to amass power and Christian groups’ efforts to spread the word of the Gospels. The former have been more successful than those of Xi’s recent predecessors, and Xi himself became the most powerful (CPC) chairman in modern memory at the party’s congress in October, where the party enshrined his name in the constitution, alongside Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping. The Washington Post, in their piece on Huangjinbu, notes that some Chinese media have begun referring to Xi as “Great Leader,” a title previously reserved for Mao.
Xi prepared for his elevation at the party congress by severely limiting the mobility of Christian leaders, according to Radio Free Asia (RFA). At the time, RFA reported that the party had “slapped a travel ban on a number of Christian believers” in southern China, preventing them from traveling to conferences in Hong Kong where they may speak openly about their persecution. Some, friends and family say, were arrested or simply went missing.
China only formally allows two Christian churches to practice: the Catholic Church and the Three-Self Patriotic Movement, a state-controlled Protestant entity. All open Christian worship is heavily regulated and officials control who delivers sermons and what they say during services. Even in more autonomous regions like Hong Kong, the Communist government has exerted its control over Christian events. Hong Kong Christian activist Derek Lam, for example, noted in an August New York Times column that Beijing had begun hijacking Christian youth events to promote “One Belt, One Road,” a communist infrastructure project intended to grant China complete dominance of the Asian economy.
Most Christians in China are estimated not to belong to either of the legal churches, but to worship in underground “house” churches, which are illegal. Researchers have estimated the total Christian population in China to be around 100 million, compared to 85 million members of the CPC.
Trump warned of 'devastating EMP attack'
by Paul Bedard
The White House is being warned that North Korea is mapping plans for a “devastating” attack on the United States with an atmospheric nuclear explosion that would disable the nation’s electric grid, potentially leading to the deaths of virtually all impacted.
In the latest calls for action from experts and military officials, President Trump is being urged to create a special commission to tackle the potential for an electromagnetic pulse attack, one similar to the iconic Manhattan Project.
“Winston Churchill once said, ‘History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.’ The surest way for history to be kind to President Trump is for him to write it, by being the first leader to truly address the existential threat of EMP,” said commission advocate and Marine Corps veteran Tommy Waller, director of special projects at the Center for Security Policy.
“The first and foremost thing he must write is an Executive Order establishing his own EMP Commission in the White House — a task force that draws from the experience of the previous EMP Commission,” he added.
Congress let the prior EMP Commission die out this year just as concerns about an EMP attack have reached a high with North Korea specifically talking about its plans.
After massive intelligence failures grossly underestimating North Korea’s long-range missile capabilities, number of nuclear weapons, warhead miniaturization, and proximity to an H-Bomb, the biggest North Korean threat to the U.S. remains unacknowledged — nuclear EMP attack.
North Korea confirmed the EMP Commission’s assessment by testing an H-Bomb that could make a devastating EMP attack, and in its official public statement: “The H-Bomb, the explosive power of which is adjustable from tens of kilotons to hundreds of kilotons, is a multi-functional thermonuclear weapon with great destructive power which can be detonated even at high altitudes for super-powerful EMP attack according to strategic goals.”
The Pentagon and some states have started to take action to protect the electric grid from an EMP attack, but the administration and Congress have largely shrugged off the concerns, according to EMP advocates.
Previous congressional testimony has suggested that 90 percent of humans within the area of an EMP attack would die in a year, either from hunger, lack of water and health care, and violence.
