Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Southern and Western Europe, Middle East and Africa (SWEMEA) has announced that they have partnered with the Portuguese telecommunications company NOS to launch Nick Jr. Portugal exclusively on the NOS network on Thursday 2nd November 2017! Targeted at two-to-six year olds, Nick Jr. Portugal will bring content including Petroleum Pete and Dora the Explorer to young NOS viewers.Update (1/11): Added a bit more information about the launch of Nick Jr. Portugal.
Where every day’s an adventure, Nick Jr. is Nickelodeon's top-performing commercial preschool entertainment brand in cable and satellite homes around the world.
Nick Jr. Portugal will be the home to Nickelodeon's extensive library of beloved preschool series, including Dora the Explorer (Dora a Exploradora), Blaze and the Monster Machines (Blaze e as Monster Machines), Nella the Princess Knight (Nella, a Princesa Cavaleira), Zack & Quack (Zack e Quack), (Max e Ruby), Bubble Guppies, Shimmer and Shine (Shimmer e Shine) and Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom (O Pequeno Reino de Ben e Holly), and will be the exclusive home to PAW Patrol (Patrulha Pata) season four.
“This reinforcing of NOS’s offering for young viewers is another step towards providing the content that our customers request most and more evidence of the company’s commitment to provide exclusive and differentiated entertainment offerings on all screens,” said Alexandre Martins, director of fixed products at NOS.
“We are very excited about Nick Jr’s arrival in Portugal. Being able to extend the Nickeoldeon offering, involving, stimulating and accompanying our audience from the age of two is of great importance to us. We know how much this audience loves our globally successful content, so having it on our channel with new and exclusive seasons, will be fantastic,” said Victor Mourão, Vice President (VP) and General Manager (GM) of MTV and Nickelodeon Portugal.
Nick Jr. Portugal will be available to watch on NOS channel #46.

To celebrate the launch of Nick Jr. Portugal, Nickelodeon Portugal has launched the official Nick Jr. Portugal Facebook page, http://ift.tt/2zaBFBO.
It's currently unknown whether Nick Jr. Portugal will be a fully localised Nick Jr. channel, a simulcast of Nick Jr. Spain (España) with a Portuguese soundtrack, similar Nickelodeon Portugal, or a simulcast of Nick Jr. Global, Nickelodeon's Pan-Afro-Eurasian Nick Jr. channel, with a Portuguese soundtrack.
