Our Votes Led to Trump’s Wildly Successful First Year Again Exposes #NeverTrump as Amoral Saboteurs... Bring on Year TWO...
by JOHN NOLTE
Remember these names: Jonah Goldberg, David Frum, Bill Kristol, Rich Lowry, Max Boot, Mitt Romney, John Kasich, Joe Scarborough, Jeff Flake, Ben Sasse, Jennifer Rubin, George Will, Josh Jordan, Tom Nichols, Charles Cooke, Stephen Hayes, Tim Miller, John Podhoretz, Nicole Wallace, Steven Schmidt, Bret Stephens, Ross Douthat, Leon Wolf, David Brooks, Rick Wilson, Evan McMullin, Stuart Stevens, Red State, National Review, theWeekly Standard…
These are the so-called conservative men, women, and institutions who (among others) fought the hardest to sabotage Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, all in the unforgivable hope that Hillary Clinton would become president.
These are so-called conservatives who have, for nearly two years now, been promoting themselves and fundraising by smearing Trump as incompetent and “not a real conservative,” as a “Democrat in sheep’s clothing” — when, in fact, all of that best describes #NeverTrump.
These are the so-called conservatives who — after Trump’s first year in office — have now been proven as wrong as wrong can be. If their conservative credentials lost all credibility during a 2016 campaign during which they used whatever residual influence they had to hand the Oval Office to Clinton, the proven results of the past year should mean that they are written off forever as idiots, quacks, mercenaries, and con men.
Trump has had, in my opinion, the most successful first year of any president since Ronald Reagan. And not just a consequential first year that has already built a legacy, but a conservative first year. Below, I do my best to list these accomplishments, but there are so many, forgive me if a few are missed:
-
Opening ANWR for oil exploration, an accomplishment few can appreciate who do not remember the 90s and what a sacred cow this is for the left.
-
After a 2016 of just 1.9 percent GDP growth, we have now had two quarters in a row of growth over three percent; predictions for the final quarter of 2017 are as high as four percent.
-
Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, who has already proven himself the perfect replacement for Justice Antonin Scalia.
-
The end of the federal government’s violating the religious conscience through indefensible Obamacare mandates involving birth control and abortion pills.
-
Regulatory reform that is just getting started, but it has already had a hugely positive effect on our economy.
-
Pulled us out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) in favor of the American worker and sovereignty.
-
Promoting Christmas.
Now, you need to close your eyes and imagine what the list above would look like had #NeverTrump won the day and made Hillary Clinton president.
Now, try to imagine any one of the 16 Republicans who competed for the 2016 nomination accomplishing all of this, or even having the courage to stand up to a media onslaught to accomplish all of this, or even being, yes, conservative enough to do things like pull us out of the Paris climate agreement (something the Republican establishment failed 2012 nominee, Mitt Romney, opposes).
Trump’s conservatism, his competence, his willingness to stand up to gale force media hate to keep his promises, is unlike anything we have seen since 1981.
In the pursuit of only their own grift, personal fame, the gratification of bottomless egos, and a soft place to land among the Beautiful People, #NeverTrump lied to us, took our money, and fought tooth and nail to extend the disastrous Obama presidency into a third term.
And now, just one year into Trump’s presidency, #NeverTrump has once again been exposed for who they truly are — bitter, dishonest saboteurs more interested in their lofty place at the trough than the future of their own country.
All these bitter clingers have left now is to further degrade outlets such as the once-necessary National Review, a once-cherished laboratory of vibrant conservative ideas and thought, which is now a hangout for sore losers to keep rewriting the same column over and over and over again about how pure and virtuous they are, as they scold the rest of us for fighting for and sticking with a president who has delivered in ways they told us was not even within the realm of possibility.
GOP Rep Gaetz: ‘We Have Email Evidence From Andrew McCabe Indicating That Hillary Clinton Was Going to Get a ‘HQ Special”
by JEFF POOR
Friday on FNC’s “America’s Newsroom,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said a congressional committee had evidence FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe indicated Hillary Clinton was going to get an “HQ special” regarding the investigation of her unauthorized email server and ties to the Clinton Foundation during her tenure as secretary of state.
Gaetz, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, described the circumstances at the FBI regarding the investigation as “extreme pro-Hillary Clinton bias.”
“The Judiciary Committee is engaged in an investigation, particularly as it relates to the handling of the Hillary Clinton email scandal and any potential investigations of the Clinton Foundation and the handling of bribes or other types of improper payments,” Gaetz said. “I can certainly say that my impression after these interviews is that there was extreme pro-Hillary Clinton bias that benefitted her in this investigation and that she received special treatment as a consequence of her candidacy for president. That shouldn’t happen. The law should apply equally to all Americans whether they’re political candidates or not. And so, we need to institute reforms through the Judiciary Committee for more oversight, for more transparency so that this never happens again.”
He went on explain that it was the committee’s intention to find out if there was a departure from standard “procedures.”
“[O]ur view is we need to find out if whether or not the procedures were departed from,” he added. “And we have email evidence from Andrew McCabe indicating that Hillary Clinton was going to get an ‘HQ Special,’ a headquarters special. That meant that the normal processes of the Washington field office weren’t followed and he had a special. And he had a very small group of people that had a pro-Hillary Clinton bias who had a direct role in changing that investigation from one that likely should have been criminal to one where she was able to walk. And so I think that we’ve gotta ensure that that never happens again, that the same processes that would apply to any American would also apply to people who were running for president of the United States.”
Pro-Abortion Groups: Ohio Ban on Down Syndrome Abortions ‘Shames Women’

Ohio Gov. John Kasich has signed into law a measure that bans abortions of babies with Down syndrome.
The law, which will take effect in 90 days, penalizes abortionists who perform the procedure because the unborn baby has been diagnosed with Down syndrome. Abortionists who do so will face a fourth-degree felony, punishable by up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine:
This law shames women, will have a chilling effect on conversations between doctors and patients, & does NOTHING to support actual families taking care of loved ones w/ Down syndrome. Instead, it exploits them as part of a larger strategy to systematically make abortion illegal. https://twitter.com/acluohio/status/944243222582300672 …
Abortion industry political lobbying group NARAL condemned the new law, claiming that it “shames women” and “exploits” families with children who have Down syndrome.
ACLU of Ohio tweeted that the ban on abortions for babies with Down syndrome is “unconstitutional”:
BREAKING: Governor @JohnKasich just signed the unconstitutional abortion ban into law.
In the case of Roe v. Wade in 1973, the Supreme Court created a right to abortion even though none existed in the Constitution.
Planned Parenthood of Ohio said the ban on abortions for Down syndrome babies is an “attack on abortion and reproductive health care”:
Call Governor Kasich and tell him to veto House Bill 214. This ban will mark the 20th attack on abortion and reproductive health care under his administration! #StopTheBans
As Fox News reports, North Dakota and Indiana have passed similar prohibitions on abortions for unborn babies diagnosed with Down syndrome. While a federal judge has blocked the Indiana law, North Dakota’s law has not been challenged and has been in effect since 2013.
Ohio Right to Life celebrated the victory of bringing justice to unborn babies with Down syndrome they say have been the victims of discrimination:
“We all want to be born perfect, but none of us are, and everyone has a right to live, perfect or not,” Mike Gonidakis, president of Ohio Right to Life, told the New York Times in 2015 when the bill was introduced. “You go to any supermarket or mall and see these families who just happen to have a child with Down syndrome, and they will tell you how fortunate they are to have those children. Pretty soon, we’re going to find the gene for autism. Are we going to abort for that, too?”
March for Life Action tweeted its support of the new law, asserting, “All life is worth protecting!”:
Thank you Ohio Gov. @JohnKasich for signing into law Down syndrome abortion ban in Ohio. All life is worth protecting! http://fxn.ws/2zgWarN #FoxNews

The governor of Ohio and former presidential candidate John Kasich signed into law on Friday a controversial state bill that would ban abortions after a fetal diagnosis of Down syndrome.

Pro-life Susan B. Anthony List also tweeted that the new law saves babies with Down syndrome from “lethal discrimination”:
Ohio has given unborn children with #DownSyndrome and their families an early Christmas present and created a safe haven from lethal discrimination. http://ift.tt/2C1l1FI … #ProLife
As Cleveland.com reports, Kasich said in November he would wait to review the final bill before making a decision to either sign or veto the legislation. The Republican governor had previously vetoed the “heartbeat bill,” which would have banned abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy, but signed another bill prohibiting abortions after the fifth month, or 20 weeks.
FBI Makes Shock Announcement About Vegas Shooter’s Motive
The FBI has revealed it will not release its report on Stephen Paddock’s shooting onto a crowd of Las Vegas concert goers any time soon.
During an interview, the chief of the FBI’s Las Vegas office revealed that the agency probably would not brief the public until the report is released sometime in October — a full year year after Paddock gunned down 58 people.
“Now that’s a long time for some people, but speaking for the FBI, that’s light speed, alright?” Special Agent in Charge Aaron Rouse said, according to Fox News.
On the night of Oct. 1, Paddock opened fire from his Mandalay Bay hotel room onto a crowd of around 22,000 people attending a country music concert in Las Vegas.
Moments before shooting at the crowd outside, Paddock had fired at a security guard through the door of his hotel room. The security guard had incidentally been on the 31st floor to check on an alarm when he was shot.
Paddock ultimately killed 58 people and injured 527 others during his brief, but devastating rampage, according to Axios.
A SWAT team finally charged into Paddock’s room and found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Over two months have passed since the massacre and there is still no clear motive for his actions.
“As I sit here today, I believe that we are learning as much as we possibly can about why the subject did what they did,” Rouse stated.
Other agencies investigating the event will be releasing their reports at different times. However, Rouse says the FBI’s report is “focusing a large part on the why” which is “what everybody wants to know.”
Rouse said that evidence suggests Paddock acted alone in the attack and he has not been linked to any radical organizations or ideologies.
He added that FBI investigators have about 250,000 photos and 22,000 hours of surveillance and cellphone footage to examine — a colossal amount of data that may shed more light on what happened.
“We didn’t leave anything uncovered,” Rouse said in an interview. “And again, the casinos, with their support, let us track down a lot of information of who may have had contact with that person. And it was very helpful to us.”
The Islamic State group originally claimed responsibility for the massacre, suggesting Paddock had acted on their orders to attack Western countries, but these claims were quickly ruled out by the FBI.
Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, informed investigators that he would lie in bed screaming, an indication that he may have been in “physical or mental anguish.”
Over the years, Paddock made a substantial amount of money from video gambling, and investigators have suggested that his recent gambling losses may have played a role.
Several times, Paddock had gambled over $10,000 in a single day, and in some instances more than than $20,000 and $30,000 in one day, at casinos in Las Vegas, according to NBC News.
McCabe to leave FBI in coming months: report
© Victoria Sarno Jordan
FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is planning to retire in the coming months amid accusations from Republicans of partisanship and bias within the law enforcement agency.
The Washington Post reported Saturday that McCabe plans to step down in a few months, when he is fully eligible for pension benefits. That is expected to happen in early March.
McCabe has weathered GOP criticism of the FBI for over a year, with Republicans questioning the agency's handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server and, more recently, the probe into possible collusion between President Trump's campaign and Russia.
McCabe served as former FBI Director James Comey's deputy and has been repeatedly questioned about the agency's actions during the 2016 presidential race.
The deputy director faced particular criticism after it was revealed that his wife, who ran for Virginia state Senate in 2015, received hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign donations from a political action committee led by Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat with close ties to the Clintons.
McCabe sat before three congressional committees this week, where he faced questions about his conduct and the FBI's handling of the investigations.
Sen. Rand Paul calls for investigation of Obama officials who ‘colluded’ against Trump
Sen. Rand Paul once told presidential debate moderators that his secret service name would be “Justice Never Sleeps.”
It looks like the Kentucky Senator is sticking by his mantra. Sen. Paul (R-Ky.) called on Thursday morning for an investigation into Obama-era DOJ and FBI officials to determine whether they colluded to block Trump from winning the election.
Paul said the story could be “bigger than Watergate.” It would be truly unprecedented indeed if it were proven that the Obama administration actively worked to prevent Trump from becoming president.
“Bigger than Watergate”
It isn’t clear what prompted the Thursday morning tweet, but it was a shock coming from Sen. Paul, who has been relatively quiet about the Trump-Russia investigation. Paul joined a chorus of congressional Republicans calling for investigations into high-ranking FBI and DOJ officials who were closely involved with Mueller’s probe, the original investigation into Trump, and the Clinton email investigation. He tweeted:
Time to investigate high ranking Obama government officials who might have colluded to prevent the election of @realDonaldTrump! This could be WORSE than Watergate!
It was revealed earlier this month that two top-ranking FBI officials carried on a text correspondence in which they blasted president Trump and secretly dreaded the prospect of his becoming president. The FBI earlier this month released 375 texts sent between Peter Strzok and his mistress, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, which showed anti-Trump bias.
A growing number of Americans believe that conflicts of interest could be tainting Mueller’s investigation.
An “insurance policy” on Trump?
Sen. Paul told Fox’s America’s Newsroom on Thursday that the revelations of anti-Trump bias were troubling enough to warrant an investigation into collusion. In particular, he mentioned a text sent by Strzok that mentioned an “insurance policy” against a Trump presidency that was proposed by Page in “Andy’s office.”
The “Andy” in the text is believed to refer to FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. McCabe testified behind closed doors before the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday and was grilled by the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday.
Paul pointed to the “insurance policy” language as disturbing evidence of collusion, and a good reason to keep a close watch on the Justice Department.
“There needs to be more oversight. And I think this recent controversy with the intelligence community – there’s now allegations that both in the FBI and the Department of Justice – there basically was collusion to try to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president,” Paul told Fox.
The people running the FBI and DOJ need more, not less, oversight, said Paul, a fierce critic of the surveillance state. The tie-in with the Trump-Russia probe came as a surprisingly strong statement given the senator’s general reticence on the subject.
“We’ve had this investigation about Russian collusion, maybe we need an investigation about high-ranking Obama officials colluding to try to prevent Trump from being president,” Paul said. “That’s more serious than even Watergate.”
The DOJ-dossier connection
Paul also posed questions about possible connections between the DOJ and Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm hired by the Clinton campaign and the DNC to dig up dirt on Trump. Fusion GPS produced the infamous Trump dossier, which contained “salacious and unverified allegations”, according to former FBI director James Comey.
Top DOJ official Bruce Ohr met with the author of the dossier,Christopher Steele, during the campaign. Ohr later met with the founder of Fusion GPS, Glenn Simpson, after Trump was elected.
Ohr was demoted after those meetings were revealed this month. Ohr’s wife worked at Fusion GPS during the summer.
It is believed that the FBI used the dossier to justify initiating the original investigation into collusion, which launched in July of 2016.
Democrats have speculated that President Trump will fire Mueller any day now, suspecting that he is closing in on evidence of collusion. But the White House maintains that there are no such plans.
An outgoing president working to roadblock his successor? That would be unprecedented, indeed.
Night Before Christmas: 2017 Edition
'Twas the night before Christmas, and in the White House Trump’s words were stirring; Obama felt like a mouse.
A populist president with a broom that swept clean, Trump accomplished much in 2017.
Yet out past the lawn there arose such a clatter, Pussy Hatters were yelling along with Black Lives Matter.
The Deep State pushed back—the Swamp became bitter, They always get triggered when Trump is on Twitter.
Fake News Media compared Trump with Nixon, "Impeach him!" said Maddow, Mika and Wolf Blitzen.
Rich kneelers were kneeling and sitting on hands, Stadiums were emptied, they angered their fans.
Rocket Man’s missiles were threatening Seoul, Kim Jong-Un’s stocking was soon stuffed with coal.
Rocket Man’s missiles were threatening Seoul, Kim Jong-Un’s stocking was soon stuffed with coal.
Respect, fame and fortune many women were hoping, Instead they were molested--the gropers were groping!
Crooked Hillary lied about Trump’s Russian collusion, The evidence showed it was just an illusion.
The Ass Clowns were angry and showing no poise, They were loud and obnoxious--empty barrels of noise.
Trump’s eyes twinkled with MAGA delight. He yelled, “MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!”
