One month in Florence with a pocket sketchbok (6)

[by Javier de Blas in Florence, Italy]  Nov/18th-19th. L´Armadillo is an engravue attelier where our friend and flatmate Encarna is fixing her exhibition as well she's preparing a couple of “art-paper making” workshops;  It consists in making a piece of art (bi or tri dimensional work) while the own process of handmaking paper. We pass by very often cause it is very well situated, in Via Porcellana, close to Santa Maria Novella, river Arno, Piazza Ognisanti, etc. Also because in the same street there is a trattoria, “Centopoveri”, where you have a very complete and homemade toscan lunch for 10 euro. San Paolino is close. After one f these lunches I draw its rough facada while I am having a delicious expresso (one euro) in “La Boutique”(via Palazzuolo, 17) .
We are visiting the so much free-entrance art there are in Florence, cause here you can spend a lot of money in top museums and churches, but also you have a best free-entrance art in very many places, even outside.
In chiesa de Santa Trinita there is a funeral when we arrive. Its trecentista (fourteen century) altar is beautiful, but recording the simplicity of its luxory golden polyhcromy woult take too much time. I also fancy the niche of la Pieta in Capella degli Ardinghelli. I love primitive painting.
Outside, in Piazza dellla Trinita, there are some musics playing jazz. The scene is special; their background is a huge white canvas (something is being rehabilitated inside) with an ad on top.
Another day we visit San Miniato al Monte, on the top of Michaelangelo Park. It is so beautiful I cannot draw anything; I just don´t dare. Instead I draw a Della Robia porcellane at Chiesa de San Salvatore al Monte, next to San Miniato.
