[by Javier de Blas in Florence, Italy] Nov/21st. I like these casual roughs when your hand goes faster than your mind (Rudolf Arnheim would call it “hand thinking”). The result is not always successful (sometimes your hand cannot define well your feelings. Some others, your mind takes control and you loose magic). But when everything combines well it seems like the drawing gets made by its own.
I love the sculptures of Santa Corce tumbs and tabernacoli; Machiabelli (on top), Dante, Michaelangelo, Galileo. Als for some paintings and, of course, the beautiful and quite giardino of Capella Pazzi.
After Santa Croce we visit the Faculty of Natural Sciences where our new friend Ricardo is a head of the Botanics section. He splains us all the sharing of seeds they make with many other universities in the World. Afterwards he invites us to a nice wine testing at his beautiful apartment near by the Biblioteca Nazionale.
