Go behind-the-scenes of Lip Sync Battle Shorties as hosts Nick Cannon and JoJo Siwa lip sync to Kris Kross and Michael Jackson!
TheWrap’s Stuart Brazell recently got the chance to go backstage with Nick Cannon and JoJo Siwa, hosts of the brand-new Nickelodeon game show Lip Sync Battle Shorties, a kids spinoff of Paramount Network's (formally Spike) Emmy-nominated global phenomenon, Lip Sync Battle!
The hosts showed off their colorful new set, which is adorned with cupcakes, video games, and neon lights. It also has plenty of rehearsal space for the show’s energetic young contestants to practice the dance moves they’ll perform while lip syncing to their favorite songs.
“This is the place where kids’ imaginations come true,” Cannon said. “You have three shorties battling it out with their favorite song to sync to, and the audience chooses who is the best performer for the night is and gets to go home with an iced-out mic.”
