All Gave Some~Some Gave All

George joined our family nearly three years ago. At first we had no idea what breed he is. Even our vet was stumped. Our little guy was a mess having lived as a street dog for what appeared like a long time. His coat was terrible. So bad we couldn’t brush his hair. (He has hair, not fur. He sheds very little.)
After our daughter Helene cleaned him up and groomed him numerous times our Vet told us what he is, an Affenpinscher, also known as a Monkey Dog.
Helene did her due diligence attempting to locate his family in Arizona but to no avail.
George has adopted us. He’s excellent with our grandchildren and our one great grandchild. He’s a good traveller who is very alert.
In the coming weeks we will be travelling to Phoenix. From there after a couple of weeks we’ll head to South Carolina and ultimately Florida. From there we’ll take our time and visit some places of interest. I spent quite a few years as a travelling salesman (selling textile machinery).
I’m 75 now and Helen and I suspect we may not have the energy to take such a trip for many more years into the future. Of course our we’ll have our ferocious 11 inches tall George to protect us.
We must make a decision on whether to continue this blog. We will give it much thought. If you have  any ideas on how we can continue with Issues of the Day while travelling please contact us. Our email address is mvl270@yahoo.com Your input would be appreciated
Ready for the Super Bowl. Go Pats.
Thanks for your being there every day and I hope we can come up with some way to keep the blog alive.
BTW, George is a conservative.

16 Bombshells in the Nunes Memo the Media Do Not Want You to Know About

In its partisan zeal to protect the ongoing witch hunt against President Trump, our Nixonian media went into hyper-drive last week to ensure that the unethical and un-American behavior of President Obama’s FBI and Justice Department remained covered up from the public.

After this cynical effort failed with the release of the Nunes memo Friday, the media quickly switched tactics and is now working feverishly to muddy the waters about the horror show revealed in the memo.
To begin with, it is obvious that a hysterical talking point about declaring the release of the memo a “Constitutional Crisis” has been spread far and wide… Naturally, the “constitutional crisis” in question is not the wrongdoing committed by federal law enforcement. Instead, because we are now deep within the head of the media’s fabricated reality where wrong is right and up is down, the “constitutional crisis” is that government wrongdoing was uncovered.
One way the media are hoping to shield the federal government from accountability for its indefensible lies, cover-ups, and civil rights violations is to muddy the waters; to distract us with nonsense so that we lose focus on the sins committed by an FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) that abused its power and public trust in unprecedented ways.
Here are 16 things the media do not want you to know about the Nunes memo:
  1. The so-called Russian Dossier, the creation of Fusion GPS and former British spy Christopher Steele, is a political document — namely, opposition research, created for the Democrat National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
  2. Using what it knew was opposition research paid for by the Clinton campaign, in October of 2016, the FBI and DOJ obtained a FISA warrant from the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to install a wiretap to spy on Hillary Clinton’s opponent — the Trump campaign, specifically Carter Page. This spying would last for a year.
  3. It should be noted that the FISA court was set up to stop foreign terrorists. The fact that the FBI and DOJ would use this court to not only wiretap an American but to wiretap a presidential campaign belies belief. Why Obama’s FBI and DOJ used this court as opposed to a normal court is obvious. As you will see below, a normal court probably would have denied the wiretap.
  4. Worse still, in the summer of 2016, Obama’s DOJ had already opened a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign. The fact that nothing from that months-old partisan investigation was used to obtain the Page wiretap is revealing.
  5. According to the Nunes memo, an “essential” part of the FISA wiretap application was the Steele dossier, which again is a partisan political document created for the Clinton campaign.
  6. So essential was this partisan dossier, Andrew McCabe, the disgraced former-Deputy Director of the FBI, admitted in December that “no surveillance warrant would have been sought” without the dossier.
  7. Not only did the FBI knowingly use a document from a partisan campaign to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on the competing campaign, the FBI knew the dossier was mostly “salacious and unverified.” We know this because disgraced former-FBI Director James Comey told us so in June of 2017.
  8. According to the Nunes memo, “Steele told [former FBI official Bruce] Ohr, he ‘was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president.'”
  9. Ohr, who was part of the FBI’s anti-Trump Russian investigation, was not only friendly with Steele, Ohr’s own wife worked with Steele at Fusion GPS doing opposition research (the dossier) against Trump for the Clinton campaign.
  10. Despite a) knowing the dossier was opposition research paid for by the Clinton campaign b) knowing the dossier was “salacious and unverified” c) knowing Steele was desperate to destroy Trump d) the breathtaking conflict of interest in having an investigator’s own wife working on the dossier, the FBI still went to the FISA court to obtain permission to spy on Hillary Clinton’s opponent.
  11. In order to obtain a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign, all of the conflicts of interest above were withheld from the FISA court — an indefensible (and possibly illegal) lie of omission.
  12. Even worse, in order to legitimize a warrant request based on a piece of partisan opposition research they knew was “salacious and unverified,” the FBI and DOJ used a media report to bolster the findings in the phony dossier. The FBI and DOJ told the court that the media report was independent verification of the dossier. But this was not true, and, according to the Nunes memo, the FBI and DOJ knew this was not true. The truth is that the phony dossier was the source of this media report.
  13. Also hidden from the FISA court was the fact that the FBI obtained Steele as a source but had to fire him in October of 2016 when, in a bid to use his phony dossier to derail the Trump campaign, he leaked his information to the far-left Mother Jones.
  14. Although the FBI and DOJ were willing participants in pushing a “salacious and unverified” narrative against a presidential candidate (primarily through media leaks), this was all hidden from congressional investigators. To begin with, for months, while under oath, Comey said he did not know where the dossier came from — meaning from the Clinton campaign. The Wall Street Journal explains:
We also know the FBI wasn’t straight with Congress, as it hid most of these facts from investigators in a briefing on the dossier in January 2017. The FBI did not tell Congress about Mr. Steele’s connection to the Clinton campaign, and the House had to issue subpoenas for Fusion bank records to discover the truth. Nor did the FBI tell investigators that it continued receiving information from Mr. Steele and Fusion even after it had terminated him. The memo says the bureau’s intermediary was Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, whose wife, incredibly, worked for Fusion.
  1. All of this dishonesty occurred under Comey, the man our media now hold up as a living saint, a man so desperate to destroy Trump, he not only oversaw those committing the above abuses, he leaked classified information to the news media in order to see a Special Prosecutor appointed against Trump, which his pal, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, immediately did.
And finally…
16. Much of the “salacious and unverified” material in the dossier came from the Russians. In other words, those disgusting dossier lies about Trump’s personal behavior came from Russian operatives. So there is no question that it was the Clinton campaign, Democrats, Steele, the FBI, and DOJ who colluded with the Russians to rig our presidential election.
Yes, there was collusion with the Russians, and those in our government currently investigating Trump in the hopes of overturning a presidential election are the colluders.

CNN’s Mudd: FBI People ‘Ticked’ About Memo; Are Saying About Trump ‘Game Is Going to Be Played,’ They’re ‘Going to Win’
Friday on CNN’s “The Situation Room,” network counterterrorism analyst Phil Mudd warned the FBI was going to push back against President Donald Trump’s release of the House Intelligence Committee memo and further suggestions of corruption existing within that agency.
Mudd noted the long-running operation of the FBI versus Trump’s 13 months as president and noted the FBI was vowing “to win.”
Former CIA counterterrorism official Phil Mudd: The FBI people "are ticked" and they'll be saying of Trump, “You’ve been around for 13 months. We've been around since 1908. I know how this game is going to be played. We're going to win" http://cnn.it/2GEPZD3  pic.twitter.com/fByOLNrh0I
“The president is talking about basically corruption at the FBI today, but we oppose the leadership,” he said. “The workforce is going to look at this and say, this is an attack on our ability to conduct an investigation with integrity. There are hundreds of agents and analysts working on this investigation. It’s not just Christopher Wray, the FBI Director.”
“So, the FBI people — I’m going to tell you are ticked, and they’re going to be saying, I guarantee it, you think you could push us off this because you can try to intimidate the director, you’d better think again, Mr. President,” he continued. “You’ve been around for 13 months; we’ve been around since 1908. I know how this game is going to be played, and we’re going to win.”

Family Releases Update on Condition of Little Girl in ICU Trump Asked America to Pray For

Last week, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders took time in the middle of a news briefing to tell the story of 9-year-old girl from Texas who was set to undergo brain surgery.
Sanders even delivered a personal message from her boss — President Donald Trump — who wanted Sophia Marie Campa-Peters to know he’d be praying for her. What’s more, Sanders, on behalf of Trump, asked Americans to do the same.
And those prayers did not go unanswered. On Sunday, the little girl’s father said his daughter is out of the ICU and “doing well.”
“Sophia is out of ICU, she is in a regular room and doing well!” Scott Andy Peters wrote on Facebook. “Physical Therapist says she looks great. She is eating pizza and watching Frozen, getting back to her normal, goofy, silly self.”
Sophia, who lives in Brownfield, Texas, “suffers from a rare disease that causes the blood vessels in her brain to narrow and close,” Sanders said at the news briefing on Tuesday.
Several years ago, Sophia suffered four massive strokes, leaving her paralyzed for a time. At one point, doctors told her she wouldn’t walk again, but she dismissed that prediction.
“If you’re only going to talk about what I can’t do, then I don’t want to hear it,” she reportedly said. “Just let me try.”
Sophia kept fighting, despite suffering more strokes, leading a neurosurgeon to tell her mother, “This little girl has God on her side.”
It was then that Sophia’s mom realized people needed to hear about her daughter’s incredible faith in God. “In a world where things are so bad and ugly, when there is so much loss of faith,” she said, “people needed to hear Sophia’s story so that they could hear a true testament to God’s grace and his glory revealed.”
Before undergoing brain surgery Friday at Boston Children’s Hospital, Sophia had a request — she wanted the entire world to pray for her.
“In her amazing, 9-year-old mind, that meant creating a goal of just reaching 10,000 people,” Sanders said.
Her request eventually reached the White House and the ear of Trump, who wanted to ensure her wish came true.
“We want to make sure she gets that and far exceeds it,” Sanders said. “So today, Sophia, I’m here to tell you that millions of people from every corner of the world will be praying for you on January 26.”
But that’s not all. Trump also had a direct message for the tough little girl.
“He told me to tell you to keep fighting, to never give up, keep inspiring us all, and never, ever lose faith in God,” Sanders said. “With him, all things are possible.”
Meanwhile, a post from a Twitter page that had been set up to provide updates on Sophia’s condition said doctors were even thinking about sending her home.

Actor Who Portrayed Jesus in “Passion of the Christ” Calls Next Movie Biggest Film Ever

Jim Caviezel, the Christian actor who portrayed Jesus Christ in the film “The Passion of the Christ” 14 years ago, said the movie’s sequel will be the “biggest film in history.”
He was speaking about his role in director Mel Gibson’s forthcoming film, “The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection.”
In an interview with USA Today, Caviezel, 49, said he had been inspired by discussions he’s had with Gibson about the direction of the project.
“I won’t tell you how he’s going to go about it,” he said. “But I’ll tell you this much: The film he’s going to do is going to be the biggest film in history. It’s that good.”
The Resurrection. Big subject. Oh, my God,” Caviezel said about the subject of the film.
“We’re trying to craft this in a way that’s cinematically compelling and enlightening so that it shines new light, if possible, without creating some weird thing,” he added.
Caviezel also said that Gibson had “cracked” the story, much in the same way that he had cracked “Braveheart.”
“Braveheart, that’s a film that took a long time to be able to crack,” Caviezel said. “The same thing for Passion. And the same thing for this. He’s finally got it. So that is coming.”
He might be onto something.
“The Passion of the Christ” earned $370,782,930 overall in the United States and remains the highest grossing R-rated film in North America.
Gibson told The Hollywood Reporter in 2016 that his upcoming film will be about more than just one word.
“It’s more than a single event, it’s an amazing event,” he said.
“And to underpin that with the things around it is really the story, to enlighten what that means. It’s not just about the event; it’s not just some chronological telling of just that event. That could be boring, and you think, ‘Oh, we read that.’… But what are the other things around it that happened?” he said.
It sounds like it could definitely be another blockbuster for Gibson.
Caviezel did not say when shooting for the film would begin.
In the meantime, audiences can catch Caviezel as the apostle Luke in “Paul, Apostle of Christ,” which opens in theaters on March 28.

James Comey Signed FISA Applications Utilizing Same Dossier He Publically Called ‘Salacious and Unverified’

by AARON KLEIN

WASHINGTON, DC - JUNE 08: Former FBI Director James Comey testifies before the Senate Intelligence Committee in the Hart Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill June 8, 2017 in Washington, DC. Comey said that President Donald Trump pressured him to drop the FBI's investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and demanded Comey's loyalty during the one-on-one meetings he had with president. A four-page House Intelligence Committee memo alleging abuse of surveillance authority raises immediate questions about former FBI Director James Comey’s role in utilizing the infamous, largely discredited 35-page anti-Trump dossier to obtain a FISA court warrant to monitor an individual associated with Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

One glaring possible inconsistency centers on Comey’s June 8, 2017 prepared remarks for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, where he referred to the anti-Trump dossier as containing “salacious and unverified” material.
Yet, according to the memo crafted by House Republicans, Comey personally signed three FISA court applications utilizing that same dossier that he labeled “salacious and unverified” eight months later to obtain FISA court warrants to conduct surveillance on Carter Page, who briefly served as a volunteer foreign policy adviser to Trump’s 2016 campaign.
The memo documents that on October 21, 2016, the FBI and Justice Department sought and received the FISA order against Page, and that the agencies sought the renewal of the order every 90 days in accordance with court requirements.  Renewals require separate finding of probable cause each time, the memo relates.
According to the memo, Comey “signed three FISA applications in question on behalf of the FBI, and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe signed one.” Sally Yates, then-Acting Deputy Attorney Gernal Dana Boente, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein signed one or more of the applications on behalf of the Justice Department.
The memo relates the FBI utilized the anti-Trump dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele as evidence against Page in order to obtain the FISA warrant.
However, according to the memo, the FBI and DOJ failed to inform the FISA court of the following:
  • That Steele’s Dossier was reportedly funded by Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) via the Perkins Coie law firm.  “Neither the initial application in October 2016, nor any of the renewals, disclose or reference the role of the DNC, Clinton campaign, or any party/campaign in funding Steele’s efforts, even though the political origins of the Steele dossier were then known to senior and FBI officials,” the memo states.
  • That the initial application notes Steele worked for a “named U.S. person” but does not name the controversial firm Fusion GPS or its founder Glenn Simpson.
  • That Steele reportedly met with Yahoo News at the direction of Fusion GPS.  A Yahoo News article about an alleged trip by Page to Moscow was cited in the FISA warrant, according to the memo.
After he allegedly signed three FISA applications based on Steele’s dossier, Comey publicly referred to Steele’s work as “salacious and unverified.”
In Comey’s June 8, 2017 prepared remarks for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, the former FBI chief says that following a January 6 Oval Office meeting with Intelligence Community leaders, Comey “remained alone with the President Elect to brief him on some personally sensitive aspects of the information assembled during the assessment.”’
It is clear Comey was referring to the dossier since he writes the “salacious and unverified” material was about to be publically reported by the news media.
He writes:
The IC leadership thought it important, for a variety of reasons, to alert the incoming President to the existence of this material, even though it was salacious and unverified. Among those reasons were: (1) we knew the media was about to publicly report the material and we believed the IC should not keep knowledge of the material and its imminent release from the President-Elect; and (2) to the extent there was some effort to compromise an incoming President, we could blunt any such effort with a defensive briefing.
Four days after that briefing, the dossier was published by BuzzFeed.
Also, in his statement summarizing his conversation with Trump, Comey refers to Russian prostitutes, a key component of the dossier:
He said he had nothing to do with Russia, had not been involved with hookers in Russia, and had always assumed he was being recorded when in Russia.
In a private White House dinner with Trump on January 27, Comey says the topic of the “salacious material” again came up and he reveals that Trump was considering asking the FBI to investigate the origins of the claims.  Comey pushed back against that idea.
Comey writes:
During the dinner, the President returned to the salacious material I had briefed him about on January 6, and, as he had done previously, expressed his disgust for the allegations and strongly denied them. He said he was considering ordering me to investigate the alleged incident to prove it didn’t happen. I replied that he should give that careful thought because it might create a narrative that we were investigating him personally, which we weren’t, and because it was very difficult to prove a negative. He said he would think about it and asked me to think about it.
Meanwhile, despite his role in signing three FISA applications based on a largely debunked dossier that he himself referred to as “unverified,” Comey on Friday took to Twitter to claim the memo’s release “destroyed trust” with the Intelligence community.
That’s it? Dishonest and misleading memo wrecked the House intel committee, destroyed trust with Intelligence Community, damaged relationship with FISA court, and inexcusably exposed classified investigation of an American citizen. For what? DOJ & FBI must keep doing their jobs.

Liberal Media Forced To ADMIT Pelosi Is A Liar
Donny Bomenabori

Liberal Media Forced To ADMIT Pelosi Is A Liar
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has achieved what no other Trump era policy has done: good press. The Associated Press had to acknowledge, albeit begrudgingly, that middle-income people are getting more take-home pay. Essentially eviscerating Nancy Pelosi’s narrative that the tax cuts only help the rich.
While the article pried some good news out of the AP with a crowbar, they still had to mix in class warfare narratives about "crumbs" and corporate greed. It also inadvertently put the lie to fake Democrat talking points and showed that working people are benefiting from the law.
"According to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, a middle-income household would on average get a tax cut of $930 this year, lifting their after-tax income by about 1.6 percent," the AP reported. That might be "crumbs" to wealthy swamp-dwellers like Nancy Pelosi, but in real America, that pays bills.
With the Tax Cut and Jobs Act spurring wage growth, by giving corporations the resources to invest in their workforce, suddenly the law is bigger than the extra money in paychecks; it means that we are in a virtuous cycle, where employers are competing for labor, rather than labor competing for jobs as was the norm under Obama. Democrats will have a lot of explaining to do for opposing that.

Kennedy Said He Would Tear Down Trump’s Wall, Then People Notice His House

For a party trying to float by on feminist hashtags and regain lost blue collar voters, a Kennedy seemed an odd choice to give the rebuttal to the State of the Union.
And that was before they put him in front of a wrecked car.
Yet, even though the speech was a farrago of platitudes given by a wholly undeserving trust funder who appeared to be drooling and was attired like a freshman high school athlete dressing up for game day, this was a Kennedy, after all — which meant the media had to find something to praise him for.
And they did, in the line, “Build a wall and my generation will tear it down.”
Given that this was a Kennedy, you probably shouldn’t be surprised to learn the line actually wasn’t his. His mention of it came during a part of the speech where he addressed those in the loose coalition of anti-Trumpers who would probably use the hashtag #TheResistance without a hint of irony.
“And to all the Dreamers watching tonight, let me be clear: Ustedes son parte de nuestra historia. Vamos a luchar por ustedes y no nos vamos alejar. (You are a part of our story. We will fight for you. We will not walk away.) America, we carry that story on our shoulders,” Kennedy said.
“You swarmed Washington last year to ensure no parent has to worry if they can afford to save their child’s life.
“You proudly marched together last weekend – thousands deep — in the streets of Las Vegas and Philadelphia and Nashville.
“You sat high atop your mom’s shoulders and held a sign that read: ‘Build a wall and my generation will tear it down.’”
So, Joe Kennedy is essentially getting credit for a line written by someone else and taken off of a placard. If nothing else, this provides an ample glimpse into just how feverishly the media continues to perform CPR on the Kennedy legacy.
However, there’s another funny thing about the Kennedy legacy that’s worth pointing out: As a family, they actually seem to love walls. Just not along our Southern border.
For instance, let’s take a look at Rep. Kennedy’s house. It’s not exactly modest, and it’s got a rather familiar circumambient feature:
View image on Twitter
Here's a picture of Joe Kennedy's house. Notice that it has A WALL !
11:29 PM - Jan 31, 2018
Oh look — a wall. And, as Julian Gillespie noted in a piece at The Daily Caller, “the young congressman failed to mention that generations of Kennedys preceding him have enjoyed the protections and sanctity provided by walls and extra security at compounds stretching from Cape Cod to Palm Beach.”
“When the Kennedy family sold the estate in Palm Beach, Florida in 1995, the walls and gate were the only part of the two-acre oceanfront compound to be legally protected,” Gillespie wrote. The family had fought for years to keep the estate from historical designation to help resale value and make remodeling less complicated for a new owner.”
Now, of course, this is private property, but both walls serve roughly the same purpose: They are designed, in cases where there might be an incentive for ill-meaning actors to cross into territory they’re legally prohibited from doing so, to stop them from doing so.
In the case of illegal immigration, the costs and externalities are supposed to be borne by the American people because the demographic shifts are favorable to the Democrats. This is what they never mention. In any other circumstance, especially if the electoral benefits were neutral or unfavorable to the party, the wall would have been erected decades ago.
But don’t ask me. Ask Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. When slamming illegal immigration made electoral hay for the Democrats, they were more than willing to pay lip service to stopping it in their State of the Union addresses, as The Daily Wirepoints out.
Walls and border enforcement, when it suits them, are perfectly dandy with the party of the left. It’s just the ones that interfere with their demographic destiny that Joe Kennedy and his compatriots wish to tear down.
Please like and share on Facebook and Twitter if you think Joe Kennedy is a hypocrite.

‘Flat-Out Lying’: DB Cooper Hijacking Case Just Got a New Plot Twist

Another wrinkle has been added to the already perplexing mystery surrounding the D.B. Cooper hijacking case of 1971.
A documentary filmmaker named Thomas Colbert claimed Thursday he believes the mysterious man to be a black ops CIA operative potentially involved with Iran-Contra whose identity has been suppressed by federal agents.
Colbert recruited a 40-person team to help him decipher the identity of the mysterious criminal who in 1971 hijacked a Northwest Orient Boeing 727 and parachuted out the back of the plane with $200,000 in ransom money.
In January, Colbert revealed to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer that the number “717171684” found on the bottom of the letter came from an Army veteran named Robert W. Rackstraw who is reportedly still alive and residing in San Diego.
Colbert revealed that his team came to this conclusion after utilizing information gathered from a code breaker who studied the five letters allegedly drafted by Cooper.
“The new decryptions include a dare to agents, directives to apparent partners, and a startling claim that is followed by Rackstraw’s own initials: If captured, he expects a get-out-of-jail card from a federal spy agency,” Colbert stated in a Thursday media release.
The investigator also noted that multiple people who knew Rackstraw came forward and claimed that he had connections to the CIA.
Another investigator on Colbert’s team revealed that other evidence gathered throughout the investigation shows that the FBI deliberately tried to keep the case a mystery.
“As we suspected, records show the Bureau has been stonewalling, covering up evidence and flat-out lying for decades,” the investigator told The Oregonian.
As noted by Fox News, Colbert believes that the nine-digit code found at the bottom of the letter may have been an attempt by Cooper to notify other conspirators that he was still alive after the heist.
The investigator claims that the number is a reference to three units in the Army that Rackstraw had connections to during his time in the military.
However, a former FBI agent believes that the idea of Colbert utilizing coding techniques is somewhat far-fetched, but that Rackstraw might be the culprit.
“I think the coding thing is remarkable, but I’m a hard skeptic,” Dorwin Schreuder, a former FBI agent told the Seattle PI in January. “The circumstances of those codes being what Tom says they are, that he says nobody but him would know these units and these figures, if it’s true that’s pretty hard to argue against. Rackstraw might be his guy.”
Schreuder worked on the Cooper case back in the 1980s, Fox News reported.
The fifth and final letter was released by the FBI in November 2017 through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit.
In the letter, Cooper explained why he believed authorities would never be able to capture him.
“I didn’t rob Northwest Orient because I thought it would be romantic, heroic or any of the other euphemisms that seem to attach themselves to situations of high risk,” the mysterious hijacker allegedly wrote in the fifth and final letter.
The statement continued: “My life has been one of hate, turmoil, hunger and more hate, this seemed to be the fastest and most profitable way to gain a few fast grains of peace of mind.
“I don’t blame people for hating me for what I’ve done nor do I blame anybody for wanting me to be caught and punished, though this can never happen.”
In an almost prophetic fashion, he went on to note that authorities would have trouble finding him because he “left no fingerprints” and is “not a boasting man,” among other things.
He ended the letter by stating that he is not a violent person.
“As a matter of fact I’ve never even received a speeding ticket,” Cooper concluded.
As noted by Seattle PI, the case of D.B. Cooper is the only unsolved incident of air piracy in U.S. history.

The groundhog reportedly saw his shadow yesterday, signifying six more weeks of winter.
In related news, the National Weather Service is predicting “record-tying heat this weekend” in Las Vegas.  Apparently even Punxsutawney Phil is guilty of “fake news”!
I’ve been saying for a long time now that Donald Trump is an “acquired taste.”  And judging by the reactions to his first State of the Union Address, his support is growing further and faster than the fake news media would have you believe.
And the disgusting display by congressional Democrats who sat on their hands throughout the entire speech really opened eyes and won over some hearts and minds.  In fact, almost HALF of Democrats polled in a CBS survey said they liked the President’s speech.
As an example, longtime Nevada Democrat/union activist Lou DeSalvio tweeted in disgust, “Dems won’t even stand when record numbers of unemployment on minorities have been met and tremendously exceeded.”  He added, “I am embarrassed to call myself a Democrat.”
I’m guessing that’s a growing club.
By the way, it wasn’t Nevada Sen. Dean Heller’s fault that President Trump didn’t notice him and blew right by him on the way out of the House Chamber after the SOTU.  Apparently Dean forgot that he was wearing Harry Potter’s “invisibility cloak” that night!

David Abney, UPS Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has announced more than $12 billion in investments to expand the company’s Smart Logistics Network and boost its pension funding, citing “the opportunity for tax savings created by the Tax and Jobs Act.”
UPS joins a LONG LIST of corporations now expanding operations and giving pay raises and bonuses to their employees.  Apparently cutting taxes and regulations on entrepreneurs rather than insulting them with “You didn’t build that” bluster has a much more positive effect.  Go figure.
Sarcastic trivia question from some liberal bonehead going by the fake name @Krauseee on Twitter: “What's a thousand dollars when your CEO gets paid 30x what his drivers are paid?”
Our friend Grover Norquist’s response: “One thousand dollars.”
Game, set, match.
According to FOX News, conservative Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) says GOP leaders have “ruled out a full ObamaCare repeal-and-replace effort, like the one this past summer that passed in the GOP-controlled House but failed in the Senate…”
Let Nevada Republicans never forget that those efforts failed thanks in large part to Nevada Sen. Dean Heller’s flip-flopped opposition to repealing ObamaCare last summer.  #DeanVotedNo
Because those 13 kids found shackled in Perris, California were allegedly being homeschooled, the homeschool community is bracing for new calls for greater government control over homeschool families.  Such a notion is not only absurd based on one extreme abuse, but obscene.
The government completely controls our public schools, but it seems not a week goes by without reading some story about a public school teacher or employee sexually abusing a student.  On behalf of all homeschoolers, here’s our message to the government busy-bodies…
Clean your own house and leave us alone!
The campaign for some Democrat running for Nevada governor named Henry Thorns left a flyer on my windshield at the grocery store.  He claims to be a “Business Owner,” but his platform includes “Better Pay for Unskilled Jobs.”
Um, duh.  Unskilled jobs pay less because, um, they require no skills.  If you want better pay, get better skills.
Regardless, please explain to us where the authority is found for the government to determine how much someone should be paid in the private sector for doing a job that requires no skills.

Report: Robert Mueller and the FBI implicated in the IRS scandal

Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller has been investigating whether President Donald Trump colluded with Russia during and after his campaign. While no evidence of that collusion has come out in the investigation, Mueller has found himself and his team under fire for hiring anti-Trump investigators.
Now Mueller is in the hot seat for something else entirely. Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton says his watchdog organization has “uncovered the dirty little secret” that Mueller’s FBI was involved in the Obama IRS scandal that targeted and harassed conservative groups.

The Plot Thickens

Judicial Watch, a legal group that has long acted as a thorn in the corrupt federal government’s side by forcing public transparency, worked to expose the IRS scandal.
Last year, Judicial Watch proved that IRS personnel under Lois Lerner were targeting conservative groups that opposed Obama and applied for non-profit status.
JW President Tom Fitton, however, says there’s far more to the story. According to Fitton, Mueller’s FBI was going after those same groups, identified by Lois Lerner in their applications for 501(c)(3) status.
Fitton stated:
One of the things we uncovered in investigating the IRS scandal in getting documents Congress couldn’t get and didn’t want to get was that the Justice Department was working with Lois Lerner’s FBI to prosecute the very groups that Lois Lerner was suppressing through the IRS…the Justice Department and the FBI under Robert Mueller were concocting ways to prosecute President Obama’s political opposition.
The problem, as Fitton points out, is that the FBI got caught and had to turn over documents they obtained—illegally—from the IRS.
Tom Fitton @TomFitton
Mueller and Lois Lerner? .@JudicialWatch uncovered the dirty little secret about the Obama IRS scandal: it involved both the FBI (under Mueller) and DOJ. @RealDonaldTrump is right not to trust Mueller. Shut it down.

Can Anyone Trust Mueller?

With so much about Mueller being released—including his role as Director of the FBI during the Uranium One scandal—the question remains if he is fit to continue the investigation into Trump’s campaign activities.

With the release of the notorious FISA memo from Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), it is clear that the entire Mueller investigation is a sham, built upon a false dossier that Hillary Clinton’s campaign paid for.
Was Mueller aware of the FISA memo? What about the intelligence used to create it?
Mueller should have been made aware of the fact that several people within the agency he used to lead—including another former director, deputy director, and top-level officials—were actively involved in an attempt to force their own will on the people of the United States.
President Trump needs to conduct a review into Mueller — a man who has no business evaluating government misconduct.

G’ day…Ciao…
