Happy Birthday, Saint Petersburg Urban Sketchers!

Three years ago a new Urban Sketchers group was created. It happened on the 7th of February, 2015 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Alexandra Vozgrina set up a group and since then the community has been experiencing so many exciting things: numerous summer sketchmeets, dozens of locations visited, new members in admin team welcomed, and we also got listed at urbansketchers.org and set up a lively Instagram account.

Our birthday meeting took place in the very heart of the city, at the Gojira bar, with the famous Hermitage Museum a few steps away. The host provided us with everything we needed to spend this lovely time together.

The ordinary winter day with no ordinary party: a dimly lit room full of people sketching, chatting, making friends, sharing the news. You need to season it all with the good old Rolling Stones rhythm to complete the picture. We all are different yet brought together by one passion - sketching - and we are welcoming anyone who shares the same. Three years old, going on ten! Here are a few sketches from the participants.
