B. Big Gouache and Mixmedia (gouache II)

In this workshop, we will take a step forward with gouache exploring more pictorial possibilities. Drawing in a large format will help us feel more expressive and free. We will do mix media exercises using complementary materials to get new textures (graphite and color pencils, soft pastels, etc).


When:
Sunday, August 26, 2018, 10:00-4:00 

Location: 
Ferry Building, San Francisco 

In this workshop participants will: 
  • Work with large format and wide brushes to get more pictorial sketches. Will experiment the stroke intention, lines and color spots. 
  • Learn how to plan a big sketch 
  • Play with composition 
  • Experiment with perspective deformation and play with depths and planes. 
  • Combine gouache with graphite pencil, color pencils, and dry pastels. (mixed media party!)
