Hawaii Eruption Has Some Experts Worried About US West Coast
vBy Scott Kelnhofer
The frightening scenes of lava from the Kilauea volcano flowing across residential areas of Hawaii look like something out of a movie.
But the danger from the eruption of Kilauea is not only very real for the people of Hawaii, it's something many residents along the West Coast of the United States have to be aware of, as well.
There are more than 13 volcanoes along an 800-mile stretch from Mount Baker in Washington to Lassen Peak in California. Those volcanoes are part of 450 volcanoes that make up the so-called “Ring of Fire,” which is a horseshoe-shaped belt with Kilauea situated in the middle. The belt follows the coasts of South America, North America, eastern Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Because of the increased activity of Kilauea — and potentially larger eruptions that could still be coming to Hawaii — there is concern among a growing number of West Coast residents about the events in Hawaii triggering eruptions in the U.S.
“There’s lots of anxiety out there,” Liz Westby, geologist at the U.S. Geological Survey Cascades Volcano Observatory in Vancouver, Washington, told the Associated Press. “They see destruction, and people get nervous.”
The Cascades Volcano Observatory monitors volcanoes in the Pacific Northwest and posts weekly status reports.
The good news for those who live near any of the western volcanoes is that all status reports on those sites currently register “normal.”
“All our mountains are considered active and, geologically speaking, things seem to happen in the Northwest about every 100 years,” said John Ufford, preparedness manager for the Washington Emergency Management Division.
If one of the West Coast volcanoes were to erupt, residents in those areas would not see the type of lava flows like those witnessed in Hawaii.
“Our volcanoes don’t have the plumbing system like the ones we find in Hawaii,” George Bergantz, a professor of earth and space sciences at the University of Washington, told KCPQ-TV in Seattle. “They (Cascade volcanoes) arise through a different set of geological processes and don’t produce lava flows that are this runny.”
The Cascade volcanoes can produce huge clouds of choking ash and send deadly mudslides into rivers and streams.
Two of the most potentially destructive West Coast volcanoes are Mount St. Helens, north of the Portland, Oregon metro area, and 14,000-foot Mount Rainier, which is visible from Seattle and Tacoma, Washington.
Experts believe Mount St. Helens is the most likely of the region’s volcanoes to erupt next, because it is the most active volcano in the Cascade Range.
But Mount Rainer, which hasn’t had a lava eruption in more than 2,000 years, is considered the most dangerous if it were to erupt because of the areas nearby.
An eruption on Mount Rainier could rapidly melt glaciers, triggering huge mudflows that could reach the densely populated areas in the valleys surrounding the mountain.
“Our concern is ice and snow melting rapidly on Mount Rainier,” said Chuck Morrison, a resident of Orting, Washington, a town of approximately 7,600 that is located about 20 miles west of Mount Rainier. “We need a quick way off the valley floor.”
Officials in Orting conduct evacuation drills each year in which children move from schools to higher ground so they know where to go to escape the flow.
Former Trump adviser: ‘You have to understand that not everybody on this planet loves John McCain’
By Ben Wolfgang - The Washington Times
A former top adviser to President Trump said Sunday that Sen. John McCain isn’t immune to criticism and has consistently been a thorn in the White House’s side since Mr. Trump came to power.
Speaking on CNN’s “State of the Union program, Michael Caputo, who served as a communications adviser to Mr. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, pushed back against the notion the White House is out of line for criticizing Mr. McCain, Arizona Republican and a frequent critic of the administration.
Mr. McCain’s ongoing tension with the White House reached new heights last week when Kelly Sadler, an administration communications aide, said that Mr. McCain’s political positions don’t matter because he’s “dying anyway.” The comment drew harsh rebukes from both sides of the aisle, but Mr. Caputo countered that the Arizona senator, now battling brain cancer, is a fair target.
“McCain has for the longest time been a combative senator. He’s worked very hard against this president. He’s done things to undermine this president,” Mr. Caputo said. “You have to understand that not everybody on this planet loves John McCain. But at this point in time we all need to step back and let his family and the senator live in peace.”
“Politics ain’t bean bag,” he continued. “This is a very difficult arena and John McCain has been out there punching with the best of them.”
Among other clashes with the administration, Mr. McCain cast the deciding vote last year to kill a White House-backed plan to repeal Obamacare. More recently, Mr. McCain also has come out against the president’s pick to lead the CIA, Gina Haspel, adding uncertainty to her prospects for confirmation.
Manhattan doctor found dead from knife wound in NYC apartment
Suicide ?
A disturbing death was reported this week in Manhattan.
Murder?
By all appearances, Dr. Lorich was a successful doctor with a good family life.
He was married with three daughters.
His wife was out playing tennis at the time of his reported death.
Sadly, it was Lorich’s 11-year-old daughter that found him lying in the bathroom with a knife stuck in his chest.
One of his colleagues stopped by soon after the news broke and could not believe her friend was dead.
While not identifying herself other than saying she worked with him, she stated, “This is horrible, this is horrible. I don’t believe this.”
What she can probably not believe is the fact the police are apparently treating this as a suicide at this point rather than a murder.
Famous Cases
Lorich was one of the more respected doctors within his specialty.
He first garnered headlines in 2014 after he treated Bono (U2) for injuries sustained during a cycling accident.
Some of his lesser-known cases but far more important, were treating an NYPD officer after he was hit by an SUV in 2005.
Also in 2005, he treated a firefighter that had been stuck by a bus.
Haiti Relief Efforts
Lorich’s slight association with the Clinton’s has the internet all abuzz about his death.
Reportedly, Lorich was part of a U.S. relief effort sent to Haiti after the earthquake.
This was also one of the relief efforts the Clinton Foundation was involved with at the time.
While there, he and his team were amazed at the horrific conditions and lack of organization on the ground.
Both Dr. Lorich and two other members of the team wrote an op-ed for CNN describing exactly what they saw when they hit the ground.
Upon hearing of his death, one of the doctors that traveled with Lorich to Haiti stated, “The medical community will have an extremely large void without him.
How many mysterious deaths shroud ”the history” of Bill and Hillary?
Dick Morris: Clinton Foundation Got $50,000-$100,000 from Russian Firm That Paid Michael Cohen
By Dick Morris
Viktor Vekselberg
Special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating $500,000 allegedly invested in a corporation run by Trump attorney Michael Cohen from Russian oligarch.
But he is ignoring the donation of between $50,000 and $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation from the exact same man.
The Renova Group, a Russian asset management firm controlled by Vekselberg, made both of these payments.
Renova and Vekselberg are now both under sanctions from the U.S. government as part of the American retaliation for Moscow’s invasion of Crimea and Ukraine.
Vekselberg, in particular, has a long history with the Clintons.
When former President Bill Clinton visited Moscow on June 29, 2010, he met with Vekselberg, who had been chosen by the Russian government to oversee a new technology investment project designed to be Moscow’s version of Silicon Valley.
The 2010 meeting occurred during the same trip in which Clinton delivered a speech to Renaissance Bank, for which he was paid $500,000.
This was likely a payoff to ensure his wife’s support for the sale of 20 percent of America’s uranium mines to Russia.
The focus on Vekselberg raises the question of whether Hillary Clinton’s collusion with Russia was more significant than what is alleged to have happened between Trump and Russia.
Unlike Trump, Clinton received substantial benefits from Moscow when her husband got a $500,000 speaking fee for his visit.
Alas, it is not unusual for foreign businessmen — oligarchs and such — to put money into building relationships with new American administrations.
Washington lobbyists get rich helping them place such strategic investments.
But that is lobbying, not collusion, and it has nothing to do with Mueller’s mandate or his target.
So the question is: Will Mueller look in both directions to probe Moscow ties, or will he only focus on Trump?
Dick Morris is a former adviser to President Bill Clinton as well as a political author, pollster and consultant. His most recent book, “Rogue Spooks,” was written with his wife, Eileen McGann.
Robert Mueller Thought This Day Would Never Come And Now He May Be Ruined
Special counsel Robert Mueller is in big trouble.
The day he thought would never come has finally arrived.
And now his plan to remove Trump could be ruined.
When Robert Mueller indicted 13 Russian nationals for alleged election meddling, no one thought there would ever be a trial.
Since these individuals resided in Russia, there was no chance they would ever be forced to stand trial.
That would mean Mueller would never have to present his evidence in court.
The indictments were just for show.
They were a way for Mueller to claim he was building momentum in his witch hunt against the President.
But that all changed when lawyers for Concord Management and Consulting, LLC appeared in court and pleaded not guilty.
Now Mueller is going to have to show his cards and see if his evidence stands up in court.
If he loses, his entire investigation into Donald Trump could collapse.
The Daily Caller reports:
“Mueller may now have to try the case, and Concord’s lawyers have put the special counsel on notice. The Russian company’s lawyers intend to invoke “discovery” to obtain U.S. intelligence about what they knew of Russian activities.
“I guess Mueller thought it was a freebie, for sure,” former federal prosecutor Andrew C. McCarthy told The Daily Caller News Foundation after the court proceeding.
“He thought it could make this association (of Russian collusion) and it would never be challenged in court,” McCarthy, a National Review contributing editor, said after the proceeding.
Concord retained the services of two attorneys at mega law firm Reed Smith, and the company is demanding a speedy trial. The lawyers indicated they were going to exercise Concord’s rights under discovery to examine all of Mueller’s “evidence” of the conspiracy.
In starting Wednesday’s trial, Eric A. Dubelier, a Reed Smith law partner, entered a “not guilty” plea in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. He also repeated his client’s interest for a “speedy trial.”
McCarthy called Mueller’s entire indictment an “unforced error.”
“One thing you never want to do is to indict in a case that you’re not prepared to try,” McCarthy said.”
Mueller already suffered one embarrassing setback in this case when a judge rejected his motion to delay the arraignment hearing.
Will his evidence be nothing more than smoke and mirrors?
We will keep you up to date on any new developments.
SHOCK REPORT Surfaces About Obama's Dirty FBI
A report has surfaced suggesting that Obama's FBI spied on the Trump campaign more than was previously understood to be true. If true this is a scary abuse of power.
On Thursday, an analysis from The Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel on the latest developments in the Justice Department’s decision to allow House Intelligence Committee members to view classified information about “a top-secret intelligence source” in the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign revealed that the FBI may have spied on the campaign more than previously thought.
Strassel began by highlighting remarks House Speaker Paul Ryan made in a press conference on Thursday about House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes’ demand to see more information about the FBI’s top-secret source.
“I think this request is wholly appropriate and is completely within the scope of the investigation that has been ongoing for a while with respect to [the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act],” Ryan said. "I actually think this is something that should have been answered a while ago."
Strassel noted that this suggests that the DOJ “knew full well it should have turned this material over to congressional investigators last year, but instead deliberately concealed it."
The FBI has long a lot of credibility in the recent months and will have a long way to go to return to the public prominence it once held.

Trey Gowdy Is Attending A Closed Door Meeting That Could Change Everything
Trey Gowdy has been at the forefront of exposing the FBI’s abuse of power in using FISA warrants to spy on members of the Trump team.
But he just took the fight to the next level.
Now he’s attending a closed door meeting that could change everything.
Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee have been heading for a showdown with the Department of Justice.
Chairman Devin Nunes sent an April 24th letter requesting documents relating to FISA abuses.
This letter was a legitimate use of Congresses Article I oversight authority.
But the DOJ and FBI fought back and claimed that providing Nunes with these documents would compromise “sources and methods.”
Their specific justification was protecting the identity of an American citizen.
Nunes and Trey Gowdy smelled a rat.
The FBI and DOJ have been caught before redacting information that had nothing to do with national security and everything to do with covering up their own misdeeds.
In this case, the FBI and DOJ said they were protecting the identity of an American who also provided information to the Mueller probe.
Critics immediately blasted the FBI and DOJ for concealing this information because the identity of Mueller’s source could be partisan and/or embarrassing and cast the investigation in an entirely different light.
So Nunes pressed forward and threatened to hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt.
That led to the White House intervening and offering a compromise.
Gowdy and Nunes would attend a classified briefing on the documents they requested.
Politico reports:
“IN A LATE TUESDAY PHONE CALL WITH TOP GOP LAWMAKERS, WHITE HOUSE CHIEF OF STAFF JOHN KELLY AND DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL ROD ROSENSTEIN OFFERED TO MEET WITH KEY HOUSE MEMBERS AT THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT ON THURSDAY TO DISCUSS THE ISSUE. BUT THEY STOPPED SHORT OF PROMISING FULL ACCESS TO THE MATERIAL THEY’RE REQUESTING, THE SOURCES SAID.
KELLY ENCOURAGED ROSENSTEIN AND THE LAWMAKERS – HOUSE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN DEVIN NUNES AND HOUSE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN TREY GOWDY – TO WORK TOGETHER TO RESOLVE DISPUTES BETWEEN DOJ AND GOP INVESTIGATORS, ACCORDING TO SOURCES FAMILIAR WITH THE CALL. KELLY ADMONISHED BOTH SIDES AGAINST MESSY PUBLIC DISPUTES THAT HAVE RATCHETED UP TENSION BETWEEN ROSENSTEIN AND NUNES TO AN UNTENABLE DEGREE OF SEVERITY.
THE LAWMAKERS SPOKE TO KELLY AMID A LAST-DITCH BLITZ BY THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT AND FBI TO CONVINCE THE WHITE HOUSE THAT SHARING THE INFORMATION THE REPUBLICANS WERE SEEKING WOULD JEOPARDIZE NATIONAL SECURITY.
NUNES AND OTHER HOUSE REPUBLICANS ACCUSE THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT OF CRYING WOLF, AND INSIST THEY HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW THE DOCUMENTS.”
It is unclear if this will satisfy Nunes and Gowdy.
A briefing will allow the FBI and DOJ to frame the information on their terms and conceal key details.
Congress is a superior agency to the DOJ since under the Constitution, Congress creates and funds the DOJ.
If Congress requests a document, an executive branch agency is required to provide it.
Will Trey Gowdy get to the bottom of this Deep State cover up?
New Billboards Call Out ‘Systemic Racism’ of Abortion
By Grace Carr
Pro-life billboards and bus ads have popped up in Cleveland, Ohio, in response to a slew of campaigns advocating for abortion as a mainstream and even sacred element to society.
The new billboards, a project from pro-life group Radiance Foundation — with messages such as, “abortion is systemic racism,” “abortion is violence,” “abortion is lost fatherhood” and “abortion is fake feminism” — are in response to pro-abortion billboards from Preterm, an Ohio abortion organization. Its slew of billboard phrases include “abortion is sacred,” “abortion is life saving” and “abortion is a second chance,” among others.
“When Ohio’s largest abortion facility, located in a Cleveland, decided to target predominantly African-American neighborhoods with billboards pushing abortion in communities already ravaged by death, we had to respond,” Radiance Foundation Chief Creative Officer Ryan Bomberger told The Daily Caller News Foundation on Friday.
“Our coalition of black and white, left and right, denounces the systemic racism that is endemic in an industry birthed in the vile pseudoscience of eugenics,” he added.
Preterm, however, wants to help people think about abortion in new ways, organization development director Nancy Starner said. “We want the people in our community who have had abortions to know that they’re not alone,” she said, according to the Cleveland Scene.
Pastor Clenard Childress Jr., of New Calvary Baptist Church in New Jersey, has also spoken loudly about abortion organizations as morally repugnant. “Planned Parenthood has taken it far beyond what the (Ku) Klux Klan thought they could possibly take it. How do you calm down over genocide?” he asked in a PBS “Frontline” video in December.
Childress explained how Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger — whom he called a brilliant strategist — came up with “The Negro Project” to reduce the number of black people through sterilization.
“We need more African-Americans informed on the best kept secret in America; that is black genocide via the targeting of African-Americans by the abortion industry,” Childress said.
Great work to the Radiance Foundation @lifehaspurpose for putting up these powerful billboards in Ohio to spread the truth about abortion's harm to society.http://whatabortionreallyis.com/

Abortion advocates feel differently and don’t think black people are being targeted by the abortion movement but instead by pro-lifers who attempt to shame women getting abortions.
Pro-lifers are “fixated on shaming black women and controlling the bodies of black women,” Planned Parenthood Chief Medical Officer Raegan McDonald Mosley argued in the “Frontline” video.
Planned Parenthood hosted a Feb. 28 event for the purpose of understanding and deconstructing what the abortion organization admits are its racist roots in eugenicist founder Margaret Sanger. The event addressed “the racist roots of the birth control movement, specifically pertaining to the influence of eugenics.”
Roughly 360,000 of Planned Parenthood’s 2.4 million patients are black individuals.
Former Obama Officials Show True Colors by Encouraging Europe To Take Action Against US
BY JOE SAUNDERS
Even for Democrats, it’s disturbing.
American liberals might have nothing but contempt for the freedom and strength that make the country great when they’re talking in private, but they used to be smart enough to know that they had to at least pretend to be patriotic in public.
But as the Trump administration keeps pushing its agenda of putting America first, even that mask is coming off — and what’s underneath is ugly.
In an op-ed published by The New York Times on Friday, two men who served on the staff of the National Security Council in the Obama White House openly called for traditional American allies in Europe to take the side of the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism over the leader of their own country.
According to Steven Simon and Jonathan Stevens, President Donald Trump’s decision to pull the United States out of the Iran nuclear deal is an insult so grievous that European governments should consider pulling their ambassadors out of Washington — and expelling American ambassadors from their own capitals.
And do this to show their allegiance to the Islamic Republic of Iran
This is no small thing.
According to The Times biography note, Simon is the author of a forthcoming book about U.S. foreign policy and the so-called “Arab Spring.” He was also the National Security Council’s senior director for the Middle East and North Africa from 2011 to 2012.
Stevenson, meanwhile was the “director for political-military affairs, Middle East and North Africa, at the National Security Council from 2011 to 2013.”
That would put both men in key roles in the Obama national security team while the president and his first secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, were making building a disaster of U.S. policy in Libya that helped flood Europe with millions of “migrants”today. (The disaster also included the deadly terrorist attack on the American diplomatic outpost in Benghazi that Democrats are still lying about.)
In other words, this isn’t some loony commenter at Vox joining up with a half-stoned reader at Salon. This is the thinking of two serious — if demonstrably inept — leftist foreign policy mavens.
And it’s seriously infuriating.
First, the two men acknowledge that the different countries of Europe have different leadership, but propose “Europe” acts as a whole as an opponent of the Trump decision on the Iran deal (as though the continent is governed by a bunch of faceless bureaucrats in Brussels).
And they want Europe to defy the Trump administration’s sanctions on Iran by continuing to do business with the murderous mullahs — and make the point with diplomatic strikes of their own against the U.S.
“The European Union could, for instance, announce the withdrawal of member-states’ ambassadors from the United States. Isn’t this what states do when diplomatic partners breach solemn agreements, expose them to security risks and threaten to wreak havoc on their economies? That is, after all, what the administration is threatening to do by courting the risk of a Middle Eastern war and applying secondary sanctions to European companies. Depending on the American response, European capitals might even follow up with expulsion of American ambassadors.”
If that provokes the Trump White House, they wrote (and it certainly would), it would be time to ratchet up the pressure:
“If the administration’s next move were to impose secondary sanctions on Europe, the Europeans (sic) could slap its own penalties on American multinational corporations, which in turn would place additional pressure on the White House.”
So these two men, high-ranking national security officials in the United States government not all that long ago, are literally pushing American allies to launch a trade war with the United States.
They “justify” the argument by claiming that the Iran nuclear deal is of such crucial importance that Europe’s own commercial future is at stake, and Trump’s decision is imperiling that.
“If this doesn’t end the European Union’s doormat foreign policy, we might as well start referring to it as the 28 colonies ruled from across the ocean,” they wrote. “This is not an outcome the United States should welcome. As Britain learned in 1939, it’s a lot better to have allies than colonies.”
The historical jab is cute, and one can imagine the average New York Times reader nodding approvingly, secure in the knowledge that their own intellectual superiority has been affirmed by the Gray Lady’s writers once again.
But the real lesson from World War II isn’t what the map of Europe looked like in 1939. It’s what the map of the world looked like in 1945. And that was that any country — literally any country — that launches a full-scale war with the United States — trade or otherwise — is in for a rough few years before they give up the ghost.
And European countries — friend and foe — should have learned that lesson well. For the leader of any member of a European country to take the advice of Simon and Stevenson would be an astonishing act of political suicide.
But it’s even more astonishing that two men who were once part of the national security team of a United States president would be so open about rooting for a costly and damaging economic and political confrontation with their own country.
Even for Democrats, it’s disturbing.
