Warm up for Porto... in Lisbon!
The international USk Symposium is the greatest event for any urban sketcher who calls himself like that. Even those who never had the chance to attend the Symposium follows online everything about it. This year, almost all the sketching travelers are going to Portugal with more than Porto in their minds. That's where Lisbon enters. Lisbon and Porto are the two biggest cities in Portugal. They have many things in common (the river, the weather, the food), but there are also some differences (the size of the river, the taste of the food, the months with Sun). A cafe in Lisbon has a different name in Porto. The same with beer, pastry or bread. The accent is well different but, in the end, we're all the same people, under the same flag, and with the same passion for Portugal culture and traditions.
So, what is this workshop all about?
We will warm up not only on sketching skills but also on cultural skills. We will cover the topics we will find in Porto, adding written notes about them, learn some Portuguese words to know how to order food or drinks and, on the top of this, have a fun introductory workshop to the Portuguese culture through urban sketching. The workshop will cover four topics:
- Panorama views -
