Color, Black&white and Urban Archaeology - Workshops day 1

36 amazing workshops leaded by tallented  artists, each one - personality worth to learn from and be inspired by, started this morning. I remember that when the list of the workshops was published, I found myself wishing to take each one of them! Urban Sketchers is really great plathphorm, where every sketch lover can choose something that can take him further. I love the multybackgroun nature of our community - architects, designers, illustrators and also non-visual art background sketchers really create for my opinion that special atmosphere of ego-less sharing, open-minded, creative and authentic athmodphere!
So, here is my reportage from the three workshops I had a chance to visit today.
First one - Jane's Blundell Watercolor 101. I had time to be in the introduction part - even that I come from the professional art background, it was really fascinating to hear the explanation about color in most profound and detailed way!
My next workshop was kind of opposite one - LK Bings "Dramatic Atmosphere in Black and White". I captured the master doing his demonstration, if you can transfer the drama and the feeling of the place in
black and white only - you can do anything! It was very impressive!
My last workshop for today was Lapin's "Urban Arcaeology". I arrived duaring the last exercise, Lapin was passing from one participant to another, giving each one personal advice and chatting about the subject.
At the end everybody gathered to share their works and feelings - both was really great! I felt that people really got the approach of sketching as an ability to look better and to reccord memory and not just creating beatiful pictures!
My last reportage for today is from the demo of amazing Maru Godas, hers works I'm personal fun of and here in Porto finally I had a chance to meet her in person! It was fascinating to watch Maru's  process!
See you tomorrow!
