Workshops all day round - Day 2.
It was the longest Symposium day - I visited six and a half workshops, all of them now mixing well inside my head. The job of the correspondent allows us to taste a bit of many workshops, giving a brief impression about each one, but no one for real. But still, I got to know some new instructors, and got new angels on some old approaches. I will try to tell you my impressions from their workshops. My first workshop in the morning was Veronica Lawlor's "Reportage: Memory of a City". Veronica is one my favorite sketchers, her visual reportages are brilliant and I was looking forward to get some inspiration especially when I'm on the same "job". I think her introduction brought the participants to the real understanding of the mission!
I passed then to Linda Gray's workshop "Searching for focus and flow". It's first time I met Lynda, her approach to sketching is really interesting! "Try to see your sketch before you start sketching" was a sententence she said that spoke to me a lot!
The last one for the morning seccion was Daniel Green's "pastel sketches".
I finished my morning list and still had half an hour until the lunch, so I had a chance to jump to the workshop of Joao Catarino - "Water Sounds" which looked so freeing up!
Here are my afternoon seccion, each workshop was so different from another!
I finished this intensive and inspiring day by intimate Drink&Draw with my colleague Rita Sabler - sketching duel of the correspondents!
I can't believe that tomortow is the last day!
