The Nuclear Option: Even Abortion Enthusiasts Know Roe v. Wade Has No Legal Logic
Of course the whole point of replacing retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy is overturning Roe v. Wade. That and a thousand other egregious overreaches by the panel of unelected, robed autocrats.
People often lament that the court today settles so many of its most wide-reaching court cases on 5-4 decisions. Justice Kennedy is often the swing vote on whom the final verdict rests. People lament that this shows how hopelessly divided America is. How deeply partisan our federal government has become.
No, actually. Rule by 5-4 fiat says nothing about that, though certainly, people should sorely lament.
But they should lament because the fact of so many 5-4 decisions lays bare the truly shocking and stunning reality that the high court has become infected by at least four Supreme Court justices who have no idea what they are doing.
They have never grasped the Constitution. They have no understanding of the Separation of Powers. They are totally unaware of the limitations of their own powers. They are, to be blunt, constitutionally illiterate.
So many 5-4 decisions simply mean that there are at least four justices now on the court who think that the court — not the elected legislature — makes law.
These illiterates openly admit that they do not believe that the words written in the constitution mean what they say.
They talk about a “living constitution,” which is just a dishonest phrase that means they think the Constitution is full of words that mean whatever they feel like they mean on any given day — so long as they are in power.
This is how you wind up with a Supreme Court that finds an absolute right to abortion in a Constitution that does not contain the word a single time. And this right to abortion is no simple right. It is a Super Right, according to them.
This is how you wind up with a court that includes hapless justices who acknowledge the Super Right to abortion, yet have a hard time seeing the explicitly named right to keep and bear arms in the Second Amendment.
Most terrifyingly, these same constitutionally illiterate, unelected, power-drunk souls also fervently believe there is no balance of power. The Supreme Court is the Supreme Power.
Equally terrifying is that there is an entire political party that subscribes to the same constitutional lunacy and bows in fealty to this imagined Super Right of abortion.
For 45 years now, the Constitution has been under assault by this fraudulent Roe v. Wade decision that created this absolute Super Right on a 7-2 vote, a majority that has since eroded.
Don’t ask me. Ask any honest liberal jurist.
Even abortion enthusiasts who care about the rule of law and respect the pillars of a constitutional republic will tell you that Roe v. Wade is disastrously settled law. There is no legal logic to it. The whole rickety thing is held up by a tiny thread.
And, yet, for 45 years this Roe v. Wade edict from the unelected has stifled honest debate about abortion, corrupted the entire federal judiciary and corroded every aspect of American politics.
The sooner it is overturned and the sooner the federal judiciary is returned to its limited confines, the sooner this country can get back striving every day for Equal Justice Under Law.

At times, the speed at which our nation’s media whirlwind spins can lead us to lose track of time. Before we know it, another election is upon us, and the nation’s grip on sanity slips just a little bit further back, and to the left.
For this year’s entertainment docket, we have the 2018 primaries; a contest that the democratic party had preemptively, and foolishly, claimed would resemble a “big, blue wave” in Congress. Their theory was that Donald Trump would be such a terrible, no good, awful President that the entire Republican party would fall when the Trump Train finally hit the brick wall. Of course, we know now that this is not the case, and President Donald Trump is doing a much, much better job than the democrats are willing to let on about.
Heck, I’m not ashamed to say it; he has even surprised the heck out of me at times.
All of this winning has put a huge cramp in the left’s plan to surf a “big, blue wave” into power this autumn, and that has led party leaders down some familiar and treacherous paths. Specifically, in regard to voter fraud: The left’s preeminent vote gathering strategy for decades running.
Now, the democratically controlled city of Boston has stopped even pretending to hide their hopes for further democratic malfeasance.
The city of Boston is considering a new proposal that would allow legal immigrants who aren’t United States citizens the right to vote throughout the city, with council members holding meetings this week to find ways to make local elections “more inclusive.”
According to Boston.com, the proposal was initially requested by Council President Andrea Campbell, who urged the City Council to allow non-citizens the right to vote in municipal races.
“Campbell’s order for a hearing says Boston has more than 190,000 foreign-born residents, which represents 28 percent of the city population. It also says non-U.S. citizens paid $116 million in state and local taxes and generated over $3.4 billion in spending according to a 2015 city report,” writes Boston.com.
The implications of this proposed maneuver should be readily apparent to anyone who claims to be free, anywhere in the world. It means that borders don’t count, and that is patently absurd.
Why would we ever organize this planet into nations except to allow mankind to choose what works best for them. It gives us choice, and allows us to exercise our free will. If there are no borders, and no nations, and no diversity, what’s the point of anything? To avoid a homogenization of the entire planet, we need to enforce border laws, and allow only citizens to vote.
If there’s no such thing as sovereignty, there’s no such thing as freedom. We cannot afford to lose another inch in the battle for either.
Miss America Organization hit with controversy, calls for Gretchen Carlson and current leadership to resign

The Miss America Organization is being rocked by a divide between state pageant officials and former winners over its current leadership.
A petition calling for the resignation of the entire Miss America board, to include Chairwoman Gretchen Carlson and President and CEO Regina Hopper, has received signatures from 22 state pageant officials, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
(Photo by George Pimentel/WireImage)“As dedicated members of our state and local communities who lend our reputations, financial support and voluntary efforts to facilitate MAO’s long and powerful mission of empowering women to stand up and speak out,” the petition reads, “we find ourselves needing to use our own voices of leadership to express our profound disappointment regarding what, in our view, is the failed leadership of the entire MAO Board of Trustees.”
In a countering effort, a letter signed by 30 former Miss Americas, said they “fully support” Carlson and the current leadership, who “have been working tirelessly to move our program forward,” The Press reported.
Carlson, the former Fox News host who received a $20 million settlement for her sexual harassment lawsuit against former network chief Roger Ailes, announced last month on “Good Morning America” that the pageant will no longer feature the swimsuit portion, opting to be more inclusive to contestants of “all shapes and sizes.”

Carlson said contestant will now be judged on “what comes out of their mouth.”
“We’re no longer judging women when they come out in their chosen attire, their evening wear, whatever they choose to do,” she said. “It’s going to be what comes out of their mouth that we’re interested in, when they talk about their social impact initiatives.”
But then, if viewers want to hear from social justice warriors they can just tune into MSNBC.

The challenges of living in Washington for members of the Trump administration “are magnified exponentially” in a predominantly Democratic city where President Donald Trump only garnered 4 percent of the vote.
That’s the emphasis of a piece by the Washington Post that features presidential counsel Kellyanne Conway and senior adviser Stephen Miller, among others.
With various members of the administration being accosted in public recently, the harassment by unhinged liberals is likely to get worse with Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif, calling for a campaign of harassment and intimidation against Trump’s team.

Conway recalled in The Post article that after arriving in Washington, she was harassed by a man in a downtown supermarket.
“You ought to be ashamed of yourself! Go look in the mirror!” the man sneered at her as he rushed past her with his shopping card, Conway said.
“Mirrors are in aisle 9 — I’ll go get one now,” she recalled telling him, without missing a beat.
“What am I gonna do? Fall apart in the canned vegetable aisle?” asked the South Jersey native.
Miller, a driving force behind President Trump’s hard line stance against illegal immigration, recounted a story of being so upset after being accosted by a hostile bartender that he threw away $80 of takeout sushi.
The Trump adviser said that after ordering the sushi from a restaurant near his D.C. apartment, a bartender followed him into the street.
“Stephen!”the man reportedly shouted, and when Miller turned, the bartender raised both middle fingers and cursed at him.
Earlier this year, a stranger shouted “Better be better!” at Miller while he was walking through Dupont Circle, the paper noted.
The Post included the report that Stephen Bannon, Trump’s former strategist, was confronted at an antiquarian bookstore in Richmond by a woman who called him a “piece of trash.”
However, the controversial figure is no longer part of the administration, having been fired, nor is he representative of those who are.
In the end, the campaign of hate is just part of an ongoing effort to undermine this administration, as Trump’s former communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, suggested.
“I would say it’s burning people out,” Scaramucci told The Post. “I just think there’s so much meanness, it’s causing some level of, ‘What do I need this for?’”
“And I think it’s a recruiting speed bump for the administration,” he said. “To be part of it, you’ve got to deal with the incoming of some of this viciousness.”
If you think the notoriety of such viciousness might cause liberals to rethink their political discourse, think again.
Associated Press report wrongly implies that Trump is kicking immigrants out of the military

The Headline
Smartphones across the country starting buzzing on July 6 when the AP published a story headlined: “US Army quietly discharging immigrant recruits.”
Now, most people on both sides of the aisle do not have a problem with legal immigrants joining the military.
Nor do they have a problem with those serving the country earning a path to citizenship, so the story was concerning, to say the least.
Sadly, though, this was just a pure distorting of the facts to get some clicks.
The Facts
Reading further into the story, the reason for these recruits being dismissed was given.
Some of the people being dismissed were considered security risks by the Defense Department.
The reasons given varied from incomplete background checks to family members in other countries that raised a red flag.
Currently, it is estimated that at least 70,000 members of our military are non-naturalized citizens.
It is also estimated more than 110,000 members of the military have earned a path to citizenship over the last two decades.
Recruits not making it through the entire process is nothing new in the military.
This can happen for health reasons, lying on an application, and yes, simply because the Department of Defense was unable to conduct a background check in the given timeframe.
In other words, what is happening now has been happening all along; it is NOT a concentrated effort by the Trump administration to rid our military of legal immigrants (and some undocumented, since President Barack Obama expanded the DACA exemption to anyone enlisting).

Push Over VW --- Nissan Admits to Falsifying Car Emissions Tests
Car manufacturer Nissan had revealed that it uncovered falsified car exhaust emissions test data at its Japanese factories.
Nissan has revealed that a number of emissions and fuel economy tests performed in its Japanese factories “deviated from the prescribed testing environment,” BBC News reports. Nissan did not reveal how many cars were affected by this issue but stated that the problem was caused by inspection reports that had been “based on altered measurement values.” The company stated that they would be performing a “full and comprehensive investigation” to discover how the alteration took place.
Nissan claims that “appropriate measures” have been taken to ensure that this does not happen again in the future. The car company stated that it has checked “reliable” data and have confirmed that all of their vehicles, apart from the GT-R sports car, have met Japanese safety standards — there is currently no explanation behind why the GT-R did not meet these standards.
It appears that this issue was widespread across Nissan’s many Japanese factories meaning that many of the company’s cars could be affected. Nissan’s current situation is not unlike VW’s situation in 2015, when it was discovered that the company had purposefully faked their emissions tests. Currently, it’s believed that Nissan’s issues are down to error rather than an attempt at improving emissions ratings, but until a full investigation is completed it cannot be known how this error took place.
VW was fined $1.1 billion by German prosecutors last month for their sale of approximately 10 million cars between 20007 and 2015 that had emissions test cheating software installed. A VW executive in the United States was sent to prison over the scandal. Nissan can only hope that their situation is resolved in a less costly manner than VW’s.
