Was she being hyperbolic, or did she have a point? A lot of it depends on who exactly you define as a liberal.
During a Democrat congressional debate in Arizona Thursday, audience members booed a House candidate after she expressed support for U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement. Would you classify the candidate, Ann Kirkpatrick, as a true liberal — or her hecklers as the real liberals?
The point is that there’s a difference between the moderate liberalism of Democrats like Ann Kirkpatrick, and the radical liberalism (or illiberalism) of her detractors. What makes Owens’ remarks compelling and possibly true is the fact that the latter form of liberalism is on the rise, whereas Kirkpatrick’s brand of moderate liberalism is decidedly on the decline.
This is most evident by the left’s growing embrace of nearly everything immoral or simply illegal, including but not limited to illegal immigration, drug abuse, pedophilia and, most tellingly, socialism and communism.
A poll from earlier this year found that a plurality of millennials would prefer to live in a socialist country, while seven percent would rather live to live in an entirely communist one. Even more disturbing is that one in five 20-somethings actually consider Joseph Stalin, one of the greatest mass murderers in history, to be a “hero.”
These are striking numbers. Also striking is the fact that so many liberals both young and old alike seem to hate America and Western culture in general. Just consider how the left responded when President Donald Trump delivered a bold speech last year touting the wonders of Western civilization and pledging to never let it fall.
“Just as Poland could not be broken, I declare today for the world to hear that the West will never, ever be broken,” he said. “Our values will prevail, our people will thrive, and our civilization will triumph,” he said.
The general consensus among the far-left was that the speech was a nod to “alt-right extremism. Quick question, though : What do you call someone who likes socialism, hates America and pines for the fall of Western civilization?

It’s not that Hillary Clinton bashed President Donald Trump during an appearance at a two-day music and culture festival in New York City’s Central Park that caught the attention of social media users, it was what she was wearing.
While known to rock a muumuu from time to time, Clinton appeared in what looked very much like a hospital gown. At least, that was the online consensus.

Clinton spoke at OZY Fest 2018, which is sponsored by the digital media company Ozy, and hit Trump over his “zero tolerance” policy toward illegal immigration and on the Helsinki press conference the president held last week with Russia President Vladimir Putin.
All but publicly embracing illegal immigration, the failed 2016 presidential candidate spoke about decades of “absorbing immigrants,” or “opening the doors,” as she spun it.
Dismissing concerns that 12-20 million illegal immigrants in the country may be “hurting America,” Clinton insisted this “has been to our advantage.”
It’s difficult to say if she meant to the advantage of the US or the Democratic Party.
The woman who personally launched the Obama administration “reset” with Russia was perplexed over why Trump is “trying to be friends with Putin.”
“Why didn’t he stand up for our country?” Clinton said. “In this case it doesn’t seem like our president cares. He’s trying to be friends with Putin for reasons we are all trying to figure out.”
But that gown?
Unfortunately for Clinton, if she had anything substantive to offer, it got lost in her choice of attire.

Marybeth Tinning, 75, who was convicted of murdering her 4-month-old daughter, admitted smothering three of her other kids and is suspected of killing yet another five, could be freed from prison by next month after parole board members gave her a get-out-of-jail-free card in July. How evil do you have to be to be nixed by this board?
In 2011, Tinning, who has spent 30 years behind bars, told the panel: “When my daughter was young . . . I just believed she was going to die. So I just did it.” Now, apparently, Tinning’s an upstanding citizen.

In April, they paroled Herman Bell, a Black Liberation Army member who, 40 years ago, ambushed and killed two NYPD officers in Harlem.

In June, they opened the prison gates for Jose Diaz, who machine-gunned down 30-year-old Sean Healy, an assistant prosecutor in the Bronx.
“People who kill cops and kids should never see the light of day, let alone be paroled,” state Sen. Jim Tedisco (R-Schenectady) told The Post. “Where is the justice? . . . This is a total disgrace and an affront to the victims and the safety of the public.” It’s also now a monthly practice, it seems. Tragically so.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says the darndest things.

Since her surprise primary victory over 10-term Congressman Joe Crowley in New York’s 14th District, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been promoted by the legacy media as the prototype of a new generation of young progressives destined to replace the leadership of the Democratic Party. Unfortunately for her media boosters, however, she keeps blowing her lines. It’s not just her rote advocacy of single-payer healthcare and guaranteed government jobs, or even that she backs wacky ideas like abolishing ICE and occupying airports — Ocasio-Cortez is genuinely clueless. She outed herself, in several recent interviews, as functionally illiterate in economics, international relations, and history.
During a PBS interview with Margaret Hoover, for example, Ocasio-Cortez was unable to provide a coherent answer to a softball economics question that could have been successfully fielded by any Econ 101 student at a community college. According to her campaign website she “earned degrees in Economics and International Relations” at Boston University. But, when Hoover asked her to comment on the low unemployment rate, Ocasio-Cortez revealed that she hasn’t a clue concerning how that statistic is calculated: “Well, unemployment is low because everyone has two jobs. Unemployment is low because people are working 60, 70, 80 hours a week and can barely feed their kids.”
As our hypothetical Econ 101 student might phrase it: What the hell is she talking about? The number of jobs people work doesn’t affect the unemployment rate. This can be verified at the Bureau of Labor Statistics website, where the calculation is explained as follows: “[T]his statistic reflects the number of unemployed people as a percentage of the labor force.” In June, the labor force totaled 162.14 million and there were 6.56 million people between jobs. Thus, the unemployment rate was 4 percent. Ironically, even if the number of people working multiple jobs was part of the unemployment calculation, Ocasio-Cortez’s claim that “everyone has two jobs” is absurd. The actual figure is 5 percent.
Ocasio-Cortez could have gotten away with that dumb comment about unemployment if she hadn’t further highlighted her ignorance with this observation: “I do think right now we have this no holds barred, Wild West hyper-capitalism.” She obviously has no idea how capitalism works in the United States, particularly with regard to the regulatory burden imposed on all types of economic activity by the federal government. Ocasio-Cortez would do well to read “Federal Regulation and Aggregate Economic Growth,” by John Dawson of Appalachian State University and John Seater of North Carolina State University, who write the following about our “no holds barred, Wild West” economic system:
Federal regulations added over the past fifty years have reduced real output growth by about two percentage points on average over the period 1949-2005. That reduction in the growth rate has led to an accumulated reduction in GDP of about $38.8 trillion as of the end of 2011. That is, GDP at the end of 2011 would have been $53.9 trillion instead of $15.1 trillion if regulation had remained at its 1949 level.
Incredibly, the various comments Ocasio-Cortez has made on unemployment and capitalism have been absolutely brilliant compared to her often conflicting effusions on international relations and history. When asked by Margaret Hoover what her position was on Israel, she endorsed a two-state solution and even recognized Israel’s right to exist, but didn’t have enough sense to stop talking. She went on to deliver herself of what Joe Lieberman accurately described in the Wall Street Journal as a “reflexive criticism of one of America’s great democratic allies”: “I also think that what people are starting to see, at least, in the occupation of Palestine is just an increasing crisis of humanitarian conditions.”
This betrays a profound ignorance concerning the history of the Middle East. First, there has been no “occupation of Palestine” by the Israelis for the simple reason that there has never been a nation-state by that name. “Palestine” is nothing more than a label assigned to the province created by the Romans after they crushed the last Jewish revolt against their domination of the region. That real estate had already been inhabited by Jews for centuries when Jerusalem was unsuccessfully besieged by the Assyrians in 701 B.C.E, an event independently attested in the records of the Assyrians themselves. Rabbi Andy Bachman tried to educate Ocasio-Cortez on Israel’s history before her botched PBS interview:
Jewish people have had a 3,000-year connection to the land. One can walk around Jerusalem’s ancient settlements that were inhabited by Jews from the era of King David to the prophet Isaiah; from Alexander the Great to King Herod and Jesus; through the pain of Roman exile and a thriving Diaspora; and finally to the modern era’s 19th-century Zionist movement, which revitalized the Hebrew language, established a state (through U.N. acclamation) and won independence in 1948.
Sadly, Ocasio-Cortez appears to be impervious to education and unable to articulate a consistent position on Israel. Her alleged support of Israel’s right to exist got her into hot water with her progressive comrades. She appeared on the left wing “Democracy Now!” this week and was all but accused of changing her position just to get elected. The host pointedly asked, “Is there a difference between your position as an activist and as a candidate, particularly in the ability to be critical of human rights violations committed by Israel?” The candidate produced a word salad, but that didn’t satisfy her interrogator, who asked if she now favored a two-state solution. Ocasio-Cortez said she would “consult with activists.”
What’s going on here, of course, is the collision of empty rhetoric with reality. Until Ocasio-Cortez beat Joe Crowley in the Democratic primary, she was able to parrot the party line of the Democratic Socialists with no pushback. She was, to coin a phrase, preaching to the choir. Now people are asking her to move beyond slogans. This has revealed that she has never seriously considered her own positions and is stunningly ignorant about the issues. This is not unusual for a soi disant progressive, but she wants a seat in Congress. Will the voters of New York’s 14th District send her to the House of Representatives as a participation prize? Does she represent the future of the Democratic Party? I fervently hope so.

Attorney Gregg Jarrett slammed liar and leaker James Comey Sunday morning after the DOJ released FISA warrant docs related to Trump advisor Carter Page.
The new FISA warrant docs confirm the FBI relied almost entirely on Hillary’s phony dossier to obtain a warrant, contradicting Comey’s previous statements that the dossier was not a critical part of it.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has offered Clinton-connected superlobbyist Tony Podesta immunity in order to testify against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, according to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.“Tonight we can report exclusively based on two separate sources we spoke to today that Tony Podesta has been offered immunity by Robert Mueller to testify against Paul Manafort,” reported Carlson.
Podesta, whose brother is Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, worked with Manafort’s consulting firm in 2012 on a project to help a Ukrainian non-profit group that supported then-Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych.Manafort has been indicted on numerous counts of conspiracy and fraud related to the work, which ended two years before the longtime Republican operative joined the Trump campaign. Both Manafort and Podesta’s now-defunct lobbying firm, the Podesta Group, retroactively registered in 2017 with the Department of Justice as foreign agents of Ukraine.
Mueller’s prosecutors informed a federal judge Tuesday in Virginia, where Manafort is set to go to trial, that five witnesses would be granted immunity in order to compel them to testify. The five witnesses had indicated they would invoke their Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination.
The Daily Caller has not confirmed the story, and are taking the Fox hosts' source at their word, with that qualification. If true, it would be yet another time that a Clinton ally had received immunity, only this time at the expense of someone with ties to President Trump. The move would look highly suspicious, as it would send the signal that the government is only interested in Republican involvement with Russian interference, but seems to ignore Democrat involvement. We know that Obama played a significant role in the targeting of Donald Trump by the FBI. Thus his and almost all other Leftists’ confidence that Trump would never be president.Despite all his protestations to the contrary, Obama was kept apprise of the planned destruction of then candidate-Trump.
Here is the text message sent to Andrew McCabe:
Lisa Page to McCabe: Hey can you give me a call when you get out? Meeting with the WH counsel is finally set up and I want to talk about timing. Thanks.
The date of this text makes it clear that McCabe and Page could only be discussing the timing of information they felt would either damage Trump or exonerate Hillary Clinton. And White House counsel, the right-hand-man to Obama anxiously awaited the meeting.
Now you can bet that Obama will pretend that he knew nothing about this. Just like he said he knew nothing of Hillary Clinton’s unauthorized and highly questionable server in her Chappaqua bathroom basement closet. We later found out through emails, that Obama actual did know of Clinton’s personal server being used for official work.

So if the FBI was investigating Russian interference, they certainly didn’t seem all that worried on the 18th and 19th of October.
But the bigger question is why would two FBI personnel need to meet with the White House, when they are investigating Trump?
There are even more telling timelines around other Obama administration operatives, but this suffices to make the point that Obama knew. He was kept aware of FBI happenings in order to feel comfort that Trump would never win.
And now you know why the Left were so shocked on November 8, 2016. Many more shocks will come as we begin to arrest Obama administration traitors.

According to WGN-TV, Wilson doled out the money to about 2,000 people on Sunday morning at a church on the city’s south side.
The funds were disbursed through the Dr. Willie Wilson Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and incumbent Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner (R) — who is seeking re-election — also attended the event.
WGN reported that Wilson was moved to hand out the money to help owners who are struggling to pay their property tax bills.
“My wife and I have been blessed by God to be able to get a few of the material things out of life and so it’s up to us to now continually to share back with all of you all and others,” Wilson told church members, according to the station.
The station reported that Wilson’s campaign manager was adamant that his decision to hand out the money was not campaign-related.
Wilson is one of 10 candidates in Chicago’s mayoral race.
According to WGN-TV, Wilson doled out the money to about 2,000 people on Sunday morning at a church on the city’s south side.
The funds were disbursed through the Dr. Willie Wilson Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and incumbent Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner (R) — who is seeking re-election — also attended the event.

F. Scott Winslow, who is Wilson’s campaign spokesperson, told WGN that the Sunday church event was “absolutely not” a campaign-related event.
“While he happens to be a candidate, he’s been a philanthropist for 30 years,” Winslow told the station, and was adamant that the Wilson campaign did not violate any campaign finance laws as the event was orchestrated through Wilson’s nonprofit foundation, and not through the campaign.

Despite Winslow’s protests, WGN reported that the church event “felt” like a campaign event, as Rauner addressed the church crowd during the event.
The governor talked about campaign tent poles, and also touched upon Wilson’s property tax philanthropy, pushing his own agenda — in which, according to WGN — “Rauner routinely rails against high property taxes.”
“You pay the highest property taxes in America here in Chicago and the South Side and the south suburbs,” Rauner said. “This is wrong. The system is broken and I’m trying to fix it.”
