When Democrats Cry ‘Abolish ICE’ They Really Mean ‘Abolish Borders’

Defending Champ Chestnut Sets Record With 74 Hot Dogs

Joey "Jaws" Chestnut extended his reign as champion eater at the Nathan's Famous July Fourth hot dog eating contest Wednesday, downing a record 74 wieners and buns in 10 minutes to take home the coveted Mustard Belt for an 11th time.
Miki Sudo held onto her title as the top women's competitor at the annual Brooklyn eat-off, chomping 37 franks and buns to take home the top prize for an unprecedented fifth consecutive year.
"I found a vicious rhythm," the 34-year-old Chestnut said after the stuffing session. "I was feeling good today."
But while Chestnut ate 10 more dogs and buns than second-place finisher Carmen Cincotti, a judging error cast initial doubt over their totals after jurists didn't see the eaters were taking the dogs and buns from two plates.
Eric Gonzalez, the Brooklyn district attorney, certified the final tally and Chestnut's record of 74.
"At the end of the day, Joey Chestnut came in here and ate 74 hot dogs, broke a world record," said Cincotti, who celebrated his 26th birthday on Wednesday. "Apparently they were good dogs."
Sudo fell short of the 41 hot dogs she consumed last year, but easily beat out second-place finisher Michelle Lesco of Tuscon, Arizona, who chowed down 28 wieners and buns.
Thousands of attendees, many donning mustard-colored hot dog caps, braved 83-degree temperatures and a heat index of 91 degrees to witness the annual July Fourth competition on the Coney Island boardwalk. The outlandish tradition dates to 1972, though the company has long promoted what a former president acknowledged was a legendary start date of 1916.
Fan Martha Pleasant, 41, of Franklin, New Jersey, said she was attending the competitive eating competition to support her husband Dwight, who "loves wieners."
"We are trying to knock something off my hubby's bucket list," she said.

Facebook Removes Declaration of Independence Excerpt for ‘Hate Speech’

An original copy of the US Declaration of Independence from 1776 on display in Philadelphia

Facebook removed an excerpt from the U.S. Declaration of Independence, claiming the text violated the social network’s policies on “hate speech.”

The Liberty County Vindicator had been uploading the Declaration of Independence in parts to their Facebook page, only for the tenth part to be removed by the social network.
The text was as follows:
He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.
He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.
He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.
Though the newspaper is unsure why the text was removed, they presumed it was due to the Declaration of Independence’s use of the term “merciless Indian Savages.”
Following complaints, Facebook reinstated the post, declaring in an email, “It looks like we made a mistake and removed something you posted on Facebook that didn’t go against our Community Standards. We want to apologize and let you know that we’ve restored your content and removed any blocks on your account related to this incorrect action.”
Facebook also recently shut down a support group for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder, claiming the page violated their “community guidelines.”
“Facebook’s actions have put soldiers’ lives at risk. Guys use the page to express feelings which are really troubling them,” declared FYB UK founder and former paratrooper Alfie Usher. “They’re desperate for help. It is very hard for them to discuss issues relating to their experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan with their families.”

Fox News’ Stirewalt is unimpressed: Ocasio-Cortez ‘one of the most overrated politicians in America’

Frieda Powers
Liberals may be fawning over Democratic congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but Chris Stirewalt is not so impressed.
The Fox News politics editor thinks all the hype surrounding the young socialist is quickly making her the “most overrated politicians in America.”
Ocasio-Cortez burst into the spotlight last week after defeating 19-year congressional veteran Rep. Joseph Crowley in the Democrat primary for New York’s 14th congressional district. Her inexperience and young age were not an issue for the 28-year-old Democratic Socialist whose charisma caused her lipstick shade to sell out at makeup stores as fans clamored to follow her lead.
Being touted as the rising voice of the Democratic Party, whether they like it or not, Ocasio-Cortez is firing up voters who naturally love her push for government-funded everything. DNC Chairman Tom Perez even praised her as the “future of the party.”
Stirewalt gave Perez “a little more credit” as he spoke with Fox News’ Shannon Bream Tuesday, noting that the DNC chairman was trying to “suck up” to people “across the board” in order to please Democratic congressmen and governors who are his “real constituency.”
“I’m sure what he’s saying is, ‘She is the future and so are you, and everybody’s the future. And together we’ll have moonbeams and rainbows and sunshine and everything will be great,’” Stirewalt said. “You know, that’s just some stuff people say.”
He then turned to the hype surrounding Ocasio-Cortez.
“I don’t want to be uncharitable to the Democratic nominee, but I would say that she is quickly becoming one of the most overrated politicians in America,” Stirewalt said.
“And it’s like that because of the hype. And it’s not her fault. The hype around her is astonishing. I can’t believe what I’m hearing… She’s 28 years old!” he continued.
“And by the way, to take nothing away from the shoe leather that she used – and she showed her actual shoes – how hard she worked to beat Crowley, New York is not a justly and orderly run state from a political point of view. It is machine politics in a big way,” Stirewalt contended. “Joe Crowley should have been bounced out of that seat by somebody a long time ago, but he used the power of incumbency and the fact that, you know how many people voted in the primary? Like none. Like 25,000 people voted in that primary.”
Stirewalt noted that. although he takes nothing away from Ocasio-Cortez’s victory, “she is going to be one of 435 members of Congress.”
“She’s getting a lot of attention right now. But she’ll never live up to it,” he said.

Liberals Now Say American Revolution… a Bad Thing?! 15 Reasons They’re Wrong

KRYSTAL HEATH FRIDAY JULY 3 2015

VoxRevolution Link
The 4th of July weekend. A time when we gather we family and friends to celebrate American independence. American greatness. And all things American.
Then there’s those anti-American Americans with a guilt complex who feel the undying need to apologize for American greatness. Yes, our leftist friends have decided we’ve got things all wrong. Over at Vox.com, there’s a headline which screams, “3 Reasons the American Revolution Was a Mistake.”
Idiot, you say. No one reads Vox anyway, you say.
Problem. This nonsense has already been shared on Facebook over 12,000 times. (That’s 12,000 times too many, by the way.)
American Revolution
The article itself claims that if we’d stayed with England, slavery would have been abolished earlier, the Native Americans would have been better off, and states that government via monarchy with a parliament is superior to that of a president with a legislature.
So here’s the deal. It’s true, England did abolish slavery before the United States did. They’ve got us on that one. But as for everything else… not so much.
Sure, there were settlers who did despicable things to the Native tribes. The Native tribes also did horrific things to the settlers. That said, they also taught us how to farm, and we taught them about houses and clothes and stuff… not to mention the brutality of English colonization throughout the world… which makes that point null and void.
And no, we’re not even going to touch on the monarchy thing because that’s just stupid. Yes, STUPID.
Instead, let’s give you 15 reasons why the American Revolution was the best thing that ever happened to the world, shall we?
1. It established a haven for religious freedom. Oppressed men, women, and children from all around the globe flocked to our shores to worship the god they pleased in the manner they desired to… and no one was going to stop them, kill them, or force them to convert.
2. It created a democratic republic. For the first time in modern history, the average citizen had a voice in his own government. And it’s worked out pretty well for us.
3. It recognized that mankind is endowed with certain unalienable rights by their Creator. Government doesn’t give us our rights, our very existence does. Yes, America, we were the ones who put that in writing and created a standard for human rights unparalleled by any other governmental system.
4. It ended tyranny. No more would a people be governed by a single man, woman, or family. Three separate yet equal branches of government were established to ensure justice and domestic tranquility.
American Revolution
5. It brought with it a Bill of Rights. America today is the most free nation on earth because we have the right to say what we will, assemble where we will, defend ourselves as we will, and so on – these liberties are often threatened, yet they remain our own.
6. It gave us some of the greatest governing charters in the world. From the Mayflower Compact to the Declaration of Independence, the United States from its inception created a blueprint which other nations have aspired to duplicate.
7. It gave mankind a haven for pursuing happiness. Life in America is good. The US has more self-made millionaires and billionaires proportionally than anywhere else in the world. And by global standards, America’s middle class is really, really rich. Our standard of living is second to none. Period.
8. It created a land of opportunity. Success or failure in America is dependent on an individual’s own work ethic. We rise and fall on our own. If you can dream it, you can do it.
9. It birthed a land of virtue and ideals. Like it or not, the United States was founded on Biblical principles. Those principles embedded in our framework a standard of decency and decorum rarely found elsewhere.
10. It brought unparalleled innovation and technology to the world. Who built the first automobile? Who invented the airplane? Who put a man on the moon? Who created your iPhone? ‘Merica.
11. It gave the world the best in entertainment. Maybe Pride and Prejudice and British soap operas are your thing. But in case you haven’t noticed, all the best shows are Made in the USA.
12. It brought baseball and football to mankind. Our basketball and hockey teams are pretty epic, too.
13. It set the standard for modern, civilized societies. Travel the world. You’ll find America has the best cities, the best stores, and the greatest communities on the globe.
14. It made cultural diversity a reality. “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…” Unlike any other country on the planet, the USA is a nation of immigrants. People from all backgrounds and faiths live here together, united.
15. It’s about freedom. America is synonymous with liberty. And without the Revolution, that wouldn’t have been possible.

40 Straight Gallup Polls: Majority Says Abortion Should Be Illegal in All or Most Cases
By Terence P. Jeffrey

(Screen Capture/PBS)
(CNSNews.com) - In 40 straight Gallup polls over a span of 24 years, a majority of Americans have said that they believe abortion should be illegal in all or most circumstances.
In the latest Gallup survey examining the issue, which was conducted May 1-10, 53 percent said they believe abortion should be illegal in all or most circumstances.
The Gallup survey asks this question: “Do you think abortion should be legal under any circumstances, legal only under certain circumstances, or illegal in all circumstances?”
If the respondent says they believe abortion should be “legal only under certain circumstances,” Gallup asks this follow-up question: “Do you think abortion should be legal in most circumstances or only in a few circumstances?"
Since September 1994, Gallup has asked these questions in 40 polls. In every one of those 40 polls, the combined percentage of people who said they believe abortion should be illegal in “all circumstances” or legal “only in a few circumstances” has exceeded 50 percent.
The percentage who said that abortion should be illegal in all or most circumstances hit a high of 63 percent in the poll that Gallup conducted on Aug. 12-13, 1997. In that survey, 22 percent said they thought abortion should be legal under any circumstances, 12 percent said it should be legal under most circumstances, 48 percent said it should be legal only in a few circumstances and 15 percent said it should be illegal in all circumstances.
Thus, in that survey, 63 percent (48 percent plus 15 percent) said abortion should be illegal in all but a few or all cases.
The lowest percentage of respondents who have told Gallup they believe abortion should be illegal in most or all circumstances was 51 percent—the percentages who took that position in surveys conducted Sept. 6-7, 1994 and Sept. 22-24, 1995.
Since 1995, the percentage has never dropped that low again.
In the latest survey in which Gallup asked the question, which was conducted May 1-10 of this year, 29 percent said they thought abortion should be legal under any circumstances, 14 percent said they thought it should be legal under most circumstances, 35 percent said they thought it should be legal only in a few circumstances, and 18 percent said they thought it should be illegal in all circumstances.
In the 40 polls in which Gallup has asked this question over the last 24 years, 57.58 percent of Americans on average have said they believe abortion should be illegal in all or all but a few cases.

Schumer Gets Slapped By New Poll

Schumer Gets Slapped By New Poll
A new poll has made Chuck Schumer's narrative on the Supreme Court a little suspect. Schumer and Democrats have argued that the confirmation should wait until after the midterms, Americans disagree.

According to Town Hall:
Since Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement last week, Democrats have argued President Trump should wait until after the 2018 midterm elections to nominate his replacement. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has been leading this charge.

But according to a new set of polls the majority of Americans want a new nominee confirmed as soon as possible, not months from now.

First, from NBC News/Survey Monkey:

More than six in 10 Americans, or 62 percent, said Trump's nominee, who will be announced on Monday, should be confirmed or rejected before the elections in which control of the House and Senate are at stake. About three in 10, or 33 percent, said the Senate should wait until after the elections, the poll found.

Rasmussen also found that Americans want the Senate to move as quickly as possible to confirm a new justice. Trump is expected to make his nomination public on Monday.
Mustang Ranch Brothel Madam Sets the Record Straight
(Madams of the Mustang Ranch) – We are the madams of the Mustang Ranch. We are the backbone of a historic industry, one run by women for women. We are the voices people are fighting to silence, citing our ‘best interests’ with no regard to hear our story or our opinions.

As the madams of the Mustang Ranch, we are fighting back and sharing our stories for the world to hear.

Some members of the public would have you believe that brothels are a stain on the community. Yet, there is little realization of the positive impact brothels like the Mustang Ranch have on their communities, their colleagues and their families.

The women who work at Mustang Ranch are professional entrepreneurs – courtesans – with children and parents to care for, mortgages, car payments, savings and retirement plans. In our brothel, like other legal, well-regulated establishments, we provide full and part-time jobs for over 160 courtesans and employees and pay them over $5.7 million in total annual payroll. As part of that total payroll, our courtesans make over $4.3 million a year.

Additionally, brothels such as ours have proven to be integral to the rural communities in which they reside. Our establishments pay more taxes and fees per square-foot than any other business in Nevada and the law dictates that all local taxes be paid in full before the renewal date of our annual business licenses. Even so, brothels are some of the largest economic drivers in their counties. The money generated at our brothels is not used to coat the pockets of pimps. Rather, much of it goes back into the community.

Each year, the Mustang Ranch and its courtesans donate around $150,000 to feed residents at local senior centers and provide hundreds of backpacks filled with food for the children of Storey County from families in need. While our charitable giving and economic impact far exceeds what we’ve mentioned, it does demonstrate that we are like every other legal business in the state.

We also want to address the argument that brothels promote an institution that traffics, harms or exploits women. As we mentioned earlier, we are a business run by women for women and our vision is to provide a safe haven for women and customers alike. Long before the era of #MeToo, we were strong supporters of a woman’s right to choose what she wants to do with her own body and how she wants to lead her life.

Every year our courtesans and employees must undergo a law enforcement background investigation which includes an FBI database and fingerprint check and present valid identity documentation. We insist on a welcoming atmosphere that allows the women who work for us a life of total freedom.

They can work for periods of time at the brothel when they want, go home for time off when they want, work for other brothels, or leave the profession altogether at their whim. They decide who they interact with and how often they work. Often, our ladies work for a week or two before taking four to eight weeks off to spend time with family and friends or to pursue other avenues in life such as higher education. This freedom, along with the professional-level annual income these women earn, allows them to further their lives in ways they might have never been previously afforded and we will fight to continue to provide them with these opportunities.

We are the madams of the Mustang Ranch, the backbone of a legal and regulated industry under attack. We are the women who provide for and fight for women and we will continue to tell our stories for all to hear.
