'We are not making sufficient progress': Trump directs Pompeo to cancel North Korea trip

by Gabby Morrongiello
President Trump directed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday to cancel his latest trip to North Korea, citing the regime's insufficient progress on dismantling its nuclear weapons program and escalating tensions between the U.S. and China.

"I have asked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo not to go to North Korea, at this time, because I feel we are not making sufficient progress with respect to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula," the president announced in a series of tweets.

"Additionally, because of our much tougher Trading stance with China, I do not believe they are helping with the process of denuclearization as they once were."

Pompeo was scheduled to make his fourth trip to Pyongyang next week to continue nuclear negotiations with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The State Department announced the trip on Thursday and said Pompeo would be traveling special representative Steve Biegun, who currently serves as vice president of international government affairs for Ford Motors.
"Secretary Pompeo looks forward to going to North Korea in the near future, most likely after our Trading relationship with China is resolved. In the meantime I would like to send my warmest regards and respect to Chairman Kim. I look forward to seeing him soon!" Trump added Friday.

The White House has previously declined to comment on the timing of a second summit between Kim and Trump, following their first meeting in Singapore earlier this summer.

Pompeo told reporters prior to the trip's cancellation that he would be traveling to Pyongyang "to make further diplomatic progress toward our objective" of complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization in North Korea. However, the Trump administration has struggled in recent weeks to show any progress in its efforts to dismantle the authoritarian regime's nuclear and ballistic missiles program.

And a U.N. nuclear watchdog report earlier this week said North Korea has continued to pursue the "further development" of nuclear weapons, despite ongoing peace talks with South Korean leader Moon Jae-in and nuclear negotiations with the United States.

Pompeo last visited North Korea in July, during which he was only allowed to meet with senior officials. State-run media posted photos of Kim touring potato farms while Pompeo was in Pyongyang after he left the country.

Trump Is Not Only Right To Criticize Jeff Sessions, It’s His Constitutional Duty

Under Article II of the Constitution, the voters exercise their control over the government through the president.
Trump Is Not Only Right To Criticize Jeff Sessions, It’s His Constitutional Duty
Recently, an interesting debate erupted on Twitter between Donald Trump (the 45th President of the United States) and his subordinate Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Trump, who is the head of the executive branch and the boss of Sessions, publicly criticized the Department of Justice, which is not only his right as president, but also his responsibility as the only thin connection tying the ballot box to the DOJ. We should fear a world in which the DOJ, which has the vast power of the FBI and a monopoly over federal prosecutorial authority, does not listen to the voice of its elected master.
Trump said, “I put in an attorney general who never took control of the Justice department.”  He then complained that Sessions surrendered control by recusing himself from participating in matters important to the president.
Sessions fired back, writing, “While I am Attorney General, the actions of the Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.”
When our attorney general publicly responds to his boss that he will not “be influenced by political considerations,” one has to wonder whether he means that he feels empowered to ignore the “political consideration” that his boss wants him to manage the DOJ differently. We’re supposed to live in a representative democracy. Under Article II of the Constitution, the voters exercise their control over the government through the president.
Sessions went on to write, “We have had unprecedented success at effectuating the President’s agenda.” This is a curious statement to be making as a retort to the president’s clear and public statement that he does not believe Sessions is following his wishes.
We should wonder whether this exchange evidences a lack of political control by the voters’ representative over the DOJ. In setting the elected president at the head of the executive branch, the founders were informed by their history, in particular that of the Roman Republic. In 58-50 B.C., Julius Caesar ignored “political considerations” by advancing military campaigns in Gaul for his own glory with little regard to attempts by the Roman Senate to regulate him. In 50 B.C., the Senate feared that Caesar’s success in Gaul might threaten Senate control of Roman Government. Too little, too late, it asserted itself by issuing an order relieving Caesar of command. Caesar instead violated Roman law by crossing the Rubicon and turned his legions against Rome to seize power. Fresh on the minds of the framers of the Constitution would have also been the example of Oliver Cromwell, who took control of England by entering Parliament in 1653 with forty British musketeers and forcefully dissolving it.
Sessions also borrowed a line so often articulated by his Deputy Attorney General, that he is proud of his DOJ for “advancing the rule of law,” which has become code for “resisting the president’s directions.”
Several have observed that the rule of law appears to mean the “rule of two laws,” one for those who oppose Trump and another for those who support him. Paul Manafort might be guilty as sin. But would he have been prosecuted but for his efforts to help Trump? No, according to a very thoughtful piece by K.S. Bruce in Real Clear Life. And the next Manafort trial appears to involve precisely the same thing that Tony Podesta did with no consequence.
As I pointed out in the Federalist, the prosecution against Cohen for “campaign finance violations” appears to be the exact mirror image of what was done on behalf of the Clinton Campaign when Lisa Bloom, the daughter of a Clinton campaign official, arranged or attempted to arrange payments from Clinton donors to women to incentivize them to accuse candidate Trump of sexual misdeeds.
It’s worth revisiting Bre Payton’s list of 16 examples of the left using criminal prosecutions to punish or harass critics and political opponents. While the left repeatedly warns that Trump will prosecute his political enemies, she astutely points out that nearly every prosecution of a political figure in America appears be of an enemy of the left, not Donald Trump.
The DOJ is simply too powerful to allow it to disregard its constitutional master, the president. We should all be concerned when we hear Sessions and others dismiss any need to feel influenced by “political considerations.” When Caesar stopped following the “political considerations” of the Senate, the Roman representative democracy died immediately. Those “political considerations” keep us free.

SMOKING GUN REVEALED? Was Trump Tower Meeting A Set-Up?

russiagate
You could almost feel that something was ostensibly “up” during the 2016 presidential debates, when Hillary Clinton would steer the conservation toward Russia.
It was planned.  It was canned. And, without help from the media, it would have been widely panned.
But the liberal media played it up, as if they too knew something else.  Perhaps they had their eyes already fixated on the next shoe to drop.  At least, from where We The People are standing, it certainly appears that way.
The bewilderment of many Americans was apparent when Hillary first mentioned Russia during a tirade against Donald Trump.  Why was this even part of her answer? What does a good relationship with Russia really mean?  Does Hillary even have that answer herself?  It was a weird corner to see the otherwise cold and calculating candidate paint herself into…there had to be a purpose.
Now we know:  Barack Obama had already planted a spy in the Trump campaign to gather dirt on the future President.  There are undeniable reasons why Obama would have shared this with Clinton, as her election would have meant a de facto third term for his policies.
When those spies were having trouble finding any dirt on The Donald, it now appears as though Clinton helped to plant some dirt herself.
Anatoli Samochornov, a Russian translator who was present at the infamous June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower with campaign officials, testified that he was previously an interpreter for Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and Barack Obama.
Samochornov also said that he held a “public trust” clearance from the U.S. government.  The clearance provides a level of screening for individuals who do government work described as sensitive, but whose positions do not require a security clearance.
Samochornov was previously identified as being the Russian translator who was present at the meeting at which Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya reportedly argued against the Magnitsky Act, which sanctions Russian officials. The meeting was set up with Donald Trump Jr., presented as being about information regarding Hillary Clinton. Veselnitskaya says she does not speak English and has given interviews to U.S. news media outlets through translators.
So Where is this going?
Breitbart News reported last year that according to his LinkedIn profile, from 2005 until at least that year Samochornov was a project manager at the Meridian International Center, which describes itself as a “nonprofit, global leadership organization headquartered in Washington, DC.” Meridian is a principal partner of the U.S. State Department.
The Breitbart News report noted at the time that Samochornov’s LinkedIn profile further describes his work on behalf of the State Department, purportedly while he was at Meridian. The timeline of his work at Meridian included the period when Clinton was secretary of state.
Now it has emerged that in testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Samochornov described his work personally interpreting on one occasion for Clinton, “two or three times” for Kerry, and for “Mr. Obama’s summits at the United Nations.”
Not only do we have spies planted within the Trump campaign to collect information presumably for Hillary Clinton, but now we have a translator at the scene of a possible set-up who was employed several times by several high ranking democrats, including President at the time Barack Obama.
Oh, and he has some extraneous security clearances issued by the government.
Something smells quite, quite fishy here, folks.

South Africa shocked after Trump dings country for seizing white farmers’ land

Chris White, DCNF

South Africa accused President Donald Trump of stoking racial division Thursday after the president suggested his administration would study the country’s policy of seizing farmers’ land.

The government blasted Trump’s tweet calling out land seizures in South Africa. It called the president’s message “false information” that reflects a “narrow perception which only seeks to divide our nation and reminds us of our colonial past.”
“I have asked Secretary of State @SecPompeo to closely study the South Africa land and farm seizures and expropriations and the large scale killing of farmers. “South African Government is now seizing land from white farmers,” the president told his Twitter followers Wednesday.

South Africa is leaping headlong into a racially charged debate over land reform, which lawmakers believe will correct the legacy of white minority rule that stripped black South Africans of their land. The country is offering white farmers meager compensation for the property. The country seizes the land if the farmers refuse to sell out.

Black South Africans make up about 80 percent of the population but own just 4 percent of the country’s land, according to government officials. Lawmakers approved the motion in March brought by the radical Marxist Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party as part of a so-called “land reform” program to even the disparity in ownership between South Africa’s black majority and white minority.

Some lawmakers in the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) party, along with agricultural economists, worry South Africa is taking the same path Zimbabwe did when it initiated its own mass land expropriation program in the early 2000s. Zimbabwe, under former dictator Robert Mugabe, seized and redistributed land from about 4,000 white farmers to landless black people to compensate them for years of colonial rule.

Zimbabwe’s land confiscation destroyed the country’s once thriving agricultural sector and forced the government to rely on international aid to feed 25 percent of its population. Between 2000 and 2009, agricultural revenue declined by $12 billion, The Washington Post reported, citing Zimbabwe’s commercial farmers’ union.

McCain's wife Cindy and daughter Meghan also expressed sentiments of gratitude to those who have supported them the past year.

“I love my husband with all of my heart,” Cindy McCain tweeted. “God bless everyone who has cared for my husband along this journey.”

“My family is deeply appreciative of all the love and generosity you have shown us during this past year,” Meghan McCain tweeted. “Thank you for all your continued support and prayers. We could not have made it this far without you - you've given us strength to carry on.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., also shared his sympathy to McCain and his family.

“Very sad to hear this morning’s update from the family of our dear friend @SenJohnMcCain,” McConnell tweeted. “We are so fortunate to call him our friend and colleague. John, Cindy, and the entire McCain family are in our prayers at this incredibly difficult hour.”

McCain has been in Arizona since December receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958 and was a naval aviator during the Vietnam War. He was held captive as a prisoner of war for five years.

Last month, the USS John S. McCain
was a given a third namesake in honor of McCain. The destroyer was originally commissioned in 1994 and was named in honor of McCain’s father and grandfather, both of whom were Navy admirals.

Trump’s Russia collusion concocted by crooks

It’s out in the open, the so-called Russian collusion is nothing more than a totally made-up toxic cocktail concocted by the crooks at cnn.

James O’Keefe of Project Veritas and his patriotic team who have penetrated CNN and its leading “project Russia collusion” manager, John Bonifield, obtained a clear statement that all is smoke and mirrors and everything was done so “ratings” will safeguard the advertising/money flow.

Even CNNs star “reporter” Van ‘Jones is caught in the open saying that “it is a nothing burger”!!!

Negative reporting on President Trump stands at 93 percent but the American public’s approval rate of mainstream media is a mere 10 per cent at best. But drums are continuing to roll, oh yes, as Chris Cuomo openly stated that only “they”, the “masters of the universe”, know what is right to be fed to the public.

What an absolute imbecilic arrogance.  As JC Wilcox stated in his letter of June 30, Alex Jones is going up thanks to his factual reporting, however  boisterous he may be, and the slide of mainstream media into oblivion is assured. Good riddance to come soon !!!!

LANNY DAVIS ADMITS HE LIED TO THE MEDIA ABOUT MAJOR TRUMP TOWER REPORT

Michael Cohen’s attorney Lanny Davis admitted on Thursday that he erroneously confirmed a CNN report about Trump’s knowledge of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting with the Russians.

CNN reported on July 27 that Cohen was prepared to tell Special Counsel Robert Mueller that the president had advance knowledge of the Trump Tower meeting. On Wednesday, Davis said that the reporting was “mixed up” and that his client had no information regarding when Trump knew about the meeting.

According to the New York Post, however, Davis himself confirmed CNN’s report as an anonymous source when it was first published.

Davis is now apologizing on the record for confirming something he did not know to be true.

“I regret that I wasn’t clear enough to The Post. I should have been more clear. I could not independently confirm the information in the CNN story,” Davis said. “I’m sorry that I left that impression. I wasn’t at the meeting. The only person who could confirm that information is my client, [Michael Cohen].”

Cohen has also provided information to Congress that would debunk CNN’s report.

The leaders of the Senate Intel committee said that Cohen testified to them that he personally did not know about the Trump Tower meeting before it happened. This contradicts CNN’s reporting that Cohen was in a meeting with Trump when Donald Trump Jr. informed him of the Russians’ offer for dirt on Hillary Clinton.

CNN has yet to issue a correction on their July 27 report or to update it with Davis’ new comments. (RELATED: CNN Still Hasn’t Corrected Report Claiming Trump Knew About Trump Tower Meeting)
