Kerry rips political 'so-called leaders' operating in 'fact-less world'

Former Secretary of State John Kerry ripped America's current political leaders on Sunday, describing them as “so-called leaders” who are “operating in a fact-less world.”

Kerry, appearing on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” said today's political climate contrasts with leadership seen under the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) who died last week after being diagnosed with brain cancer.

"You work to implement our democracy by reaching out across the aisle, by building relationships, by believing in the better angels of American value system. And I think John McCain did that. I did that, others have done that,” Kerry said.

“But right now we have a culture divide that has been accentuated by political so-called leaders,” he continued. “And what they're doing is they're operating in a factless world.”

Kerry, who was the Democratic presidential nominee in 2004, has been a frequent critic of President Trump and his administration.

Kerry recently has criticized Trump over his controversial summit in Helsinki with Russian President Vladimir Putin, his comments slamming NATO allies and his decision to revoke former CIA Director John Brennan’s security clearance.

Trump, in turn, has taken shots at Kerry.

In May, the president lashed out at Kerry on Twitter following reports that the former secretary of State met Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in an attempt to save the Iran nuclear deal.

“The United States does not need John Kerry’s possibly illegal Shadow Diplomacy on the very badly negotiated Iran Deal,” the president wrote on Twitter. “He was the one that created this MESS in the first place!”

When pressed Sunday about the tweet, Kerry responded, “America and our democracy are more thoughtful than dishonest tweets.”

Remember When Obama and His Supporters Hated and Mocked John McCain?

While the left has spent the last few days shedding tears over the passing of Arizona Senator John McCain, it’s important to remember that their admiration for him hasn’t always been so prevalent.

In fact, Barack Obama and his supporters in 2008, when McCain dared to challenge the first African-American candidate for the presidency, offered far less adoration than you’ll see today.
For his part, the former President issued a statement raving about his longtime adversary, even lauding his tragic war experiences as a test that showed McCain’s courage.
“Few of us have been tested the way John once was or required to show the kind of courage that he did,” Obama said in a statement. “But all of us can aspire to the courage to put the greater good above our own.”
It is a far cry from those years in which supporters of Obama belittled McCain’s war record, mocked him for the injuries he suffered, scoffed at his age, and even compared him to a Nazi.
If you’re watching media coverage of the Republican ‘maverick’ today, you’d be skeptical. But yes, all of those things happened just a decade ago.
General Wesley Clark, an ardent defender of Obama who was once considered for the role of Vice President, scoffed at McCain’s war record, or the ‘test’ that Barack referenced.
“I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become president,” he said during a ‘Face the Nation’ interview.
Former Obama adviser Rand Beers attacked McCain saying his “isolation” during much of the Vietnam War (being a POW and tortured), meant that his national security experience was “sadly limited.”
Liberal blogger John Aravosis added to the reprehensible attacks saying, “getting shot down, tortured, and then doing propaganda for the enemy is not command experience.”
Aravosis was referring to a false confession drawn out of McCain after being tortured for multiple days and having his ribs broken in a North Vietnamese prison.
In a later blog post, Aravosis claimed Obama’s people asked him to do “all the dirty work” for the campaign.
What is now a test of courage and a sign of McCain’s strength was once a source of mockery for his political opponents. A political ad released by the campaign even mocked the Republican’s old age and inability to use email, a result of injuries sustained during his years in captivity.
“McCain’s severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes,” Mary Leonard wrote in the Boston Globe in 2000.
Rep. John Lewis painted McCain as comparable to George Wallace, a man fostering “an atmosphere of hate” and “hostility” in 2008. Two days ago he called the ‘hostile’ McCain a “warrior for peace.”
Then there was the far-left Hollywood crowd who adored Obama and remarkably compared McCain to Nazis and Adolf Hitler, paving the way for Trump supporters years later to not give a rip about the disparaging comparisons.
The animated comedy ‘Family Guy’ featured a scene in which characters were transported back to Nazi Germany and tried to blend in wearing uniforms, one of which had a McCain/Palin button.
Madonna, who this go around declared her fantasy was to blow up the White House because a Republican resides there, used a video montage during one of her concerts in 2008 that showed images of McCain alongside photos of Hitler and brutal Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.
Not very many offered an ardent defense of McCain at the time. Certainly not the media, and certainly not soon-to-be President Obama and former President George W. Bush.
Yet both men have been invited to deliver a eulogy at the Senator’s funeral services at the National Cathedral.
By contrast, “Mr. McCain quietly declared before his death that he did not want Mr. Trump to take part in his funeral,” the New York Times reported.
How quickly they have forgotten that Obama and his supporters said the very same things Trump did during the heat of a political battle.
One side has been forgiven. The other has not.

Trump Asks Brutal Question in Response to Cali Wanting Universal Healthcare for Illegals
BY LISA PAYNE-NAEGER

President Donald Trump’s latest response to Gavin Newsom’s universal health care proposal brings to mind all of the Never Trumpers who complained he wasn’t a conservative. I don’t know if the president hits the high conservative credential mark on everything, but he has certainly rung the bell on this one.
In this day and age of progressive bombardment in the culture, it is certainly refreshing to have someone in the Oval Office who asks pertinent questions about the liberal rhetoric.
As Gavin Newsom heads out on the California Governor’s race campaign trial, he leaves a myriad of progressive policy proposals in his wake, not the least of which is universal health care for all — including illegal aliens and with a disregard of pre-existing conditions.
Breitbart reported on Newsom’s committed response to universal healthcare.
“It needs to be pulled into the governor’s office. The executive needs to lead it. Obamacare would not have happened if it was just exclusively a legislative fiat — that said — and Nancy Pelosi did a magical job of organizing it, but it required the concerted contributions of the president of the United States.”
“The only way in a state whose population that is larger than 163 nations — California — whose economy is larger than all of four nations — fifth largest economy — to approximate a strategy for universal health care with the support and concurrence of the governor.”
“I did universal health care when I was Mayor. Fully implemented, regardless of pre-existing conditions, ability to pay, and regardless of your immigration status. San Francisco is the only universal health care plan for all undocumented residents in America. Very proud of that. We proved it could be done without bankrupting the city. I’d like to see that extended to the rest of the state.”

Clearly he wants to speak to his dependent liberal base. And that might have been effective if the president hadn’t offered this very common sense question: “What happens if the whole world decides to go to California?”
At a North Carolina event on Friday the president clearly outlined Newsom’s liberal agenda while also pointing out it lacks logistical answers for actually carrying out his plan.
“Trump said Newsom wants “health care for everyone. He wants everything for everyone. He wants to open up the borders. He wants to take care of everyone,” another Breitbart report said.
“Where do you stop? You’re going to take care of a lot of people, but they’re not going to be able to do it for very long because it’s not going to work.”
Apparently Newsom thinks hitting the president hard on the campaign trial is a winning strategy for him in California because he makes no bones about going against the president and his policies.

Trump responds to being punching bag at John McCain’s funeral – in all caps!
Samantha Chang
President Trump clapped back at his haters who colluded to collectively slam him at Senator John McCain’s week-long funeral by tweeting four simple words that trigger liberals everywhere.
“MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” the president tweeted at 6:53 p.m. Eastern time, hours after the McCain funeral (mercifully) ended after a morbid seven-day forced national mourning period.
Thanks to Trump-bashing digs lobbed by his liberal haters, President Donald Trump was the star of John McCain’s funeral.
Trump’s tweet appeared to be a response to “The View” co-host Meghan McCain, who angrily tore into the president during her eulogy when she spat: “The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again because America was always great.”
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 1, 2018
For the record, it was Democratic New York governor Andrew Cuomo who said “America was never that great.”
President Trump has never minimized American excellence, and has made making — and keeping — America great his platform.
Barack Obama — who trashed Middle America for “clinging to their guns and their religion” — stepped on a rake when he said during the funeral: “So much of our politics, our public life, our public discourse can seem small and mean and petty, trafficking in bombast and insults and phony controversies and manufactured outrage.”
George W. Bush also took a dig at Trump when he said: “John could not abide bigots and swaggering despots.”  Oh really?

Remember when McCain called an Iranian leader a monkey? Where was the faux liberal outrage?
So Ahmadinejad wants to be first Iranian in space – wasn't he just there last week? "Iran launches monkey into space" http://t.co/PaZKAqac

While liberals applauded the McCain funeral theater because it was a public way to attack President Trump, millions of Americans were disgusted by the maudlin week-long sendoff.
Critics said the unending funeral — whose TV coverage hijacked all the major cable news channels for 7 straight days — was contrived emotional blackmail aimed at manipulating Americans into mourning the death of a senator many disliked when he was alive. People don’t suddenly become saints just because they die.
Trump supporters saw the McCain funeral for what it was: A transparent and laughable attempt to trash President Trump, who sparred with John McCain since 2015.
Katrina Pierson, an adviser to Trump’s campaign, said it’s too bad some bitter people can never let go of old grudges — even in death.
.@realDonaldTrump ran for @POTUS ONE time and WON! Some people will never recover from that. #SorryNotSorry Yes, #MAGA 🇺🇸

Is there an end in sight to this hypocritical leftist spectacle?

As liberals celebrated Republican turncoat McCain because he obstructed and attacked President Trump, Michelle Obama was caught on camera smugly shaking her head in annoyance.
“Then she realized the camera was focused on her, so she looked away,” reporter Laura Loomer noted. “Democrats don’t care about John McCain. Look at her face.”

California Democrats recently found out that In-N-Out had made financial contributions to the California Republican Party, and they were not too happy about it.
They were so unhappy, in fact, that they organized a boycott of the burger franchise.
Et tu In-N-Out? Tens of thousands of dollars donated to the California Republican Party... it’s time to #BoycottInNOut - let Trump and his cronies support these creeps...  perhaps animal style!http://www.lamag.com/digestblog/in-n-out-republican/ …

Your Favorite Burger Chain Just Donated a Bunch of Money to the Republican Party
In-n-Out just dropped $25,000 into the GOP’s coffers lamag.com

But as many predicted, the Democrats' boycott of In-N-Out was about as successful as their presidential candidate in 2016.

Love me some In-N-Out!

It sure looks like In-N-Out is feeling the love, despite the Democrats' boycott.
In fact, they have even received an offer from Alabama to move their headquarters to a state that will appreciate their contribution to the economy (and maybe the good food, too).
G’ day…Ciao…
