Please share this with your friends. Police Widow Devastates Nike with One Photo and a Heartbreaking Story.
BY CILLIAN ZEAL
In an open letter that’s going viral, a police widow is sharing her relationship with a black Nike cap and why it’s been forever changed by Nike’s Colin Kaepernick campaign.
Sherry Graham-Potter is the widow of Tim Graham, a Pima County (Arizona) Sheriff’s Deputy. In a Facebook post, she posted a picture of the black cap and the story behind it.
“I want to have a conversation about this hat,” Potter wrote Wednesday. “It’s over 13 years old. I don’t remember when I bought it exactly, I don’t remember where I bought it. But what I do remember is why I wore it.”
“On August 10, 2005, I was a newlywed with two young sons. My husband Tim and I had toasted our one month anniversary the night before, and I was enjoying a rare evening to myself, catching up on reading and relishing the quiet. Until there was a knock on my door. I had no way of knowing that the small act of turning a knob was about to shatter my life into a million pieces,” she continued.
“I sat numb and in sheer disbelief as I was told that my husband, while in a foot pursuit and subsequent struggle with a suspect that ended up in the road, had been struck and killed by an oncoming vehicle. He took his last breath lying in the middle of the street. What I lost in that moment is indescribable. I had to watch his mother be dealt the most agonizing blow a parent can face, and I couldn’t comfort her because I was in my own hell. I had to find a way to gut my own children in the gentlest way possible, and tell them that this man they had come to love, who they looked up to, who cared for them as his own, would never walk through our door again.
“I don’t know if you’ve ever attended a police funeral, but watching grown men who’ve seen the absolute worst things a civilian can imagine, break down and sob over the casket of their brother is an image that never leaves you. The bagpipes haunt my dreams to this day, but it was the faces of my children, the innocence that abandoned them at such a tender age that brought me to my knees.”
As she “trudged zombie-like through our days” with her children, she realized she needed to do something. So she took up running.
“I had to move my body or I was going to crawl out of my own skin,” she wrote. “So I put on the only cap I had and I went for a run.”
“It was short, it hurt and it was ugly. But I felt, just for those few moments on that road, like a normal person. So I kept doing it. I put that hat on and I ran every day. Sometimes I had to stop and sit down because I was sobbing so hard. Sometimes I was so angry I ran until I thought I my heart would stop, sometimes I would just scream over and over again, but it still felt better than doing nothing.
“That black cap became a symbol to me, it is sweat stained and it’s shape is gone, the buckle in the back barely closes; but that hat represents my family’s rise from the ashes. It stands for the strength and the sacrifice we made loving a man who had a job that we all knew could end his life, every time he walked out that door. And it did. And I accept that.”
She wore it until the very morning she heard about the Kaepernick ad campaign.
“Colin Kapernick has the absolute right to protest anything he damn well pleases. I don’t dispute that for one second. My father, my husband and many, many friends have all served this country and were willing to fight for his right to kneel.
“But that right goes both ways,” she noted. “I also have a right to express my disgust at your decision to portray him as some kind of hero. What, exactly has Colin Kapernick sacrificed? His multi million dollar paycheck…? Nope, you already gave him one of those. His reputation? No, he’s been fawned over by celebrities and media alike. Funny, Tim Tebow was never called courageous when he knelt.
“This man, whose contempt for law enforcement fits him like a…sock, has promoted an agenda that has been proven false time and time again, in study after study. But facts don’t seem to matter anymore. This man has thrown his support behind divisive anti-police groups, and donated money directly to a fugitive from justice who escaped prison after killing a police officer. I question the judgement of anyone who would put someone this controversial and divisive at the head of an advertising campaign, but it isn’t my company to run.
“I don’t know if I’ll have he heart to ever get rid of this cap (sic), but I will tell you this, I’ll never purchase another Nike product as long as I live. You got this one wrong Nike, terribly, terribly wrong.”
She didn’t even mention how terribly wrong they got it: This was a man who supported an organization dedicated to the legacy of convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur. Not only was he willing to kneel in protest of cops, he was willing to support those who killed them.
If that heartbreaking letter and those facts aren’t enough to bring you to anger, I don’t know what will. Americans have to make sure Nike never lives this one down.

Trump Stops Rally, Invites Unexpected Guest To Join Him on Stage
BY CILLIAN ZEAL

Donald Trump gets plenty of love from coal miners for his stance on energy and mining. At a rally in North Dakota, Trump gave a bit of that love back.
The rally took place in Fargo in support of Kevin Cramer, the Republican Party’s challenger to Democrat Sen. Heidi Heitkamp. This seat in North Dakota is seen as one of the more difficult seats for the Dems to hold on to.
There was plenty of love for Cramer, mind you. However, the president also showed some serious respect for one particular miner in the audience.
He began by talking about the Obama administration and his infamous prediction that the jobs that were lost weren’t coming back.
“Well, President Obama said you won’t have manufacturing jobs anymore, they’re, not around they’re around, because if you look at what I’ve done for your coal industry, it’s incredible,” the president said. “We had a man who is in the mining business. He said, ‘Sir, what you’ve done for the coal industry is incredible because we were dead and now we’re vibrant again.’
“Where is he? Where is that guy? Where — shout out your name, please. Come up here,” Trump said.
When the man was vetted by the Secret Service and got up on stage, he said that under Obama, “the coal industry absolutely had the boot of government on its throat.”
“Many, many jobs were lost,” the miner said, “and many towns were destroyed by this. It was just a horrible thing.
“Horrible suffering happened in this country. Really for made-up reasons, I think. And what your administration does — has done — is bringing us back to life,” he added, bringing a cheer from the crowd.
“Jobs have been created, families now have an opportunity to provide for themselves and have a great future and education, and small towns in North Dakota and other places really survived because they’ve got a great coal mine — they’ve got a great power plant.”
“It’s what America is about,” he added. “It’s great to see that we again care about those things. So thank you, Mr. President.”
That’s the kind of endorsement you can’t buy, and Trump knew it.
“I could stand up here and talk about coal for a half an hour,” the president said.
“And I couldn’t do as good a job as he just did. Because, seriously, he’s in the business.”
Will that be enough to get Kevin Cramer into the Senate this November? Only time will tell, but that’s the kind of thing that Republicans should probably like hearing.
Monica Lewinsky admits Clinton’s secretary helped them arrange trysts
by Jerry McCormick
Photo via Ted Youtube Video
With mid-term elections right around the corner, it was only a matter of time before the attacks started to land on the Clintons.
This time, though, it is Monica Lewinsky landing the death blow, detailing how Bill Clinton’s personal secretary, Betty Currie, was often the one arranging the meetings.
In addition to exposing Currie, Lewinksy details the betrayal she felt from Linda Tripp, who had recorded their conversations about the affair.
November Bombshell
Every November, something comes out that shakes the political world.
This year, it will be “The Impeachment of Bill Clinton (working title),” a documentary scheduled to air on A&E beginning November 18.
The 3-part series takes a deep look into the Lewinsky scandal that almost got Bill Clinton tossed out of the White House.
Finally: Details
Americans have wanted to know the details of this affair for decades.
It is not the sordid sexual details, though, but rather exactly how a sitting president was able to sneak around for so long.
Monica Lewinsky has kept her cards fairly close to the vest to this point, but she apparently opens up and tells all for this investigative report.
A&E’s Executive VP and Head of Programming, Elaine Frontain Bryant, called it “a real-life political thriller.”
She further stated it was “the most in-depth and intimate account of how one of the biggest scandals in our nation’s history unfolded, forever changing the landscape of American politics.”
Clinton won’t be happy
Whenever the subject of Bill’s affair comes up, he loses it.
The anticipation for this show will no doubt take front and center during the midterm election season.
Rather than answering questions about candidates, Bill Clinton is going to get peppered with questions about the past, inspired by this documentary.
While we fully expect this show to be worth watching, the best entertainment still may be watching Clinton squirm in front of the cameras when asked about it.
Sean Hannity drops Mueller investigation bombshell
by Walter W. Murray, reporter
It was the political equivalent of a bomb going off on live television in primetime — and it’s bad news for Democrats hoping that special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation would end President Donald Trump’s administration.
The man overseeing Mueller’s probe, which Trump has labeled an “illegal investigation,” is now himself the target of an investigation, according to a source on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show.
Joseph diGenova, a former U.S. attorney under President Ronald Reagan, revealed on “Hannity” that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is FORBIDDEN from handling FISA warrants due to an ongoing investigation inside the agency.
That’s the so-called Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which — despite its name — actually allows for domestic spying.
It’s the infamous program that was used and abused under President Barack Obama for covert investigations into the Trump campaign in 2016, including the wiretap of Trump Tower.
Under FISA, investigators are supposed to get a warrant from a special judge before they can spy on an American.
But as Hannity has exposed in the past, those warrants were at times based on misleading and outright false information.
This past week, diGenova seems to have confirmed some of Hannity’s biggest suspicions.
“It’s fairly obvious that a fraud was committed on the court, all of this evidence is there, there isn’t any doubt about it,” diGenova said. “We cannot trust the department under Rosenstein.”
Then, he dropped the bomb about Rosenstein, saying “he’s got a big problem with FISA, personally.”
“He signed the last one,” Hannity pointed out.
“Yeah but it’s worse than that,” diGenova replied. “He’s now under investigation and he can’t do FISAs anymore.”
The attorney tried to continue with the initial point he was making, but Hannity – sensing the importance of the moment – cut him off.
“Whoa!” the talk show host interrupted. “He’s under investigation?”
That’s when diGenova confirmed his news: “Rosenstein is under investigation for things that involve the FISA warrants.”
Hannity, of course, has been hot on the FISA abuse story from the very beginning.
“There is no doubt that a conspiracy to commit fraud multiple times against FISA judges did take place,” he said just last week. “Everyone who signed off on this FISA request signed off on fraudulent documents, and they knew they were fraudulent.”
The diGenova report, if true, would confirm much of Hannity’s reporting.
It would also mean investigators must have some serious concerns about Rosenstein if he is in fact forbidden from handling FISAs.
Yet, again, not a PEEP from the mainstream media!
While they’ve ignored the bombshell announcement, interested insiders certainly recognized the significance of the moment.
Michael Flynn Jr., son of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, one of the first ensnared in the Mueller investigation, was stunned (but, let’s face it, probably not surprised) by the news.
He tweeted:

@mflynnJR
BREAKING: DiGenova just stated on @hannity that Rosenstein under investigation related to FISA!
9:24 PM - Sep 5, 2018
Earlier this summer, diGenova said Rosenstein was the one who signed off on perhaps the most infamous FISA court renewal of all time… the one allowing the surveillance of a former Trump campaign associate.
DiGenova said Rosenstein never even read it but relied on others to tell him what’s in it.
In many ways, that was the moment that led to the Mueller investigation and the huge mess in the Justice Department right now.
“He should be ashamed of himself,” he said of Rosenstein, adding that there may be some measure of justice after all as lawmakers push for his impeachment.
“He’s getting precisely what he deserves,” diGenova said.

None dare call it bribery...Liberal crowdfunding campaign to pressure Susan Collins for Kavanaugh 'no' vote tops $800,000
By Victor Morton - The Washington Times
Sen. Susan M. Collins of Maine said Sunday that she finds it difficult to envision backing the last-chance Republican bill repealing the Obama health care law. (Associated Press)
The crowdfunding innovations keep coming.
One campaign, designed to pressure Sen. Susan Collins into voting against confirming Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, has topped more than $800,000 — conditionally.
Either Sen. Collins VOTES NO on Kavanaugh OR we fund her future opponent
|
The campaign is called “Either Sen. Collins VOTES NO on Kavanaugh OR we fund her future opponent” and is being pushed by liberal activists nationwide, including gun-controller David Hogg.
As the title suggests, the monetary pledges will not be consummated if Ms. Collins, one of two Republican senators (the other being Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska) who’ve said she remains undecided on the Kavanaugh pick, votes not to confirm him. Ms. Collins has said she wants assurances that Judge Kavanaugh sees Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that made abortion a constitutional right, to be settled law. Though Judge Kavanaugh did say that, albeit with caveats, she said after last week’s hearings that she was still undecided.

Report: NFL Will Not Implement a New Anthem Policy in 2018
|
A new report claims that the NFL will not implement a new anthem policy during the 2018 season.
ESPN is reporting that league insiders have said that the NFL is unlikely to issue any rulings on the anthem issue regardless of whether talks with the players association continue or not, the Hill reported.
NFL won’t implement a new national anthem policy this season: report
|
The report comes on the heels of an aborted rule that would have banned players from protesting during the nation’s song issued in May. But less than a month later the rule was abandoned when the National Football League Players Association filed a grievance against the rule mainly because the rule was instituted without their input in its creation.
The league then promised to sit down with the player’s association to hash out a permanent policy on dealing with protesting players. To date there has been no news at all on what has come of these promised meetings, nor has there been any reports that such meetings have yet been held.
The only official news about the proposed cooperative venture was a joint statement issued in June that claimed the two sides were preparing to work together on the issue.

No players took a knee during the anthem on Thursday’s opening day, and no players raised a fist. Eagles defender Michael Bennett sat down just before the song concluded, but it is unclear if that was a form of protest.

Meanwhile a pair of polls came out that both find that majorities still oppose protests mounted during the national anthem.

After Trump Talks, North Korea Pulls ICBMs from Military Parade
By Jack Davis

North Korea paraded its military might through the capital of Pyongyang Sunday, with one very glaring exception.
Although the parade to mark its 70th anniversary featured thousands of soldiers, North Korea did not showcase its intercontinental ballistic missiles, unlike past parades — including one as recent as February — when it flouted its stock of weapons.
“Compared to past parades, they really pulled back on displaying missile systems,” said Dave Schmerler, a research associate at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, CNN reported.
“By keeping ICBMs out, Kim Jong Un showed that he did not want to antagonize President Trump,” said Kim Yong Hyun, a professor of North Korean studies at Dongguk University, according to The New York Times.
“The composition of the parade appears to reflect Kim Jong Un’s focus on dialogue and economic development,” he said.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met with President Donald Trump in June, and both pledged to move toward denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
Achieving that goal has not been quick, as the two sides have become enmeshed in talks over multiple issues that divide the U.S. and North Korea. Reports have continued to emerge from North Korea that weapons production has not ceased, even after the meeting between Kim and Trump.
On Sept. 18, South Korean President Moon Jae-in will meet Kim in Pyongyang for a three-day summit. Moon said Friday that he will seek “irrevocable progress” toward denuclearization, according to USA Today.
Last week, a South Korean official said that despite the difficulties, Kim is committed to working with the United States. Chung Eun Yong, a top security adviser to Moon, said Kim’s faith in Trump was “unchanged.”
“This trust, despite some difficulties surfaced during the negotiation process between the U.S. and the North, will continue,” Chung said, according to CNN.
Trump responded to the comments with a tweet.
“Kim Jong Un of North Korea proclaims ‘unwavering faith in President Trump.’ Thank you to Chairman Kim. We will get it done together!” Trump wrote.

Trump said Friday that he expected Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will be bringing him a letter from Kim, ABC reported.
“I know that a letter, a personal letter, is being delivered to me from Kim Jong Un that was handed at the border yesterday,” Trump said.
Trump said he expects a “positive letter.”
“Yesterday he (Kim) said I want to make this deal and denuclearize during President Trump’s administration, so let’s see what happens,” Trump said Friday. “But he did write me a letter and the letter’s being delivered to me, I think it’s being brought in by Mike Pompeo.”

REAL FASCISM: Twitter Suspends American Hero Kris Paronto After He Gives Anti-American Zero Obama an Epic Slapdown

Trump MOCKS Hillary Clinton and Obama in Sunday morning tweets! [Updated]
El Presidente Trumpo woke up in a feisty mood and decided to go beat up Obama and Hillary a little bit this morning.
There’s some anniversary he’s celebrating about Hillary using that “deplorable” line:
Happy Anniversary! #ProudDeplorable
That really was a stupid line. She literally said half of his support is scumbags, and that let them exaggerate to say she called them all scumbags. Great way to piss off the other’s guy’s base, Hillary!
He also used a Chaffetz quote to praise himself and knock down Obama:
And here’s his new and improved tweet, 21 mins later. Can you spot the Trumpism?
“Barack Obama talked a lot about hope, but Donald Trump delivered the American Dream. All the economic indicators, what’s happening overseas, Donald Trump has proven to be far more successful than Barack Obama. President Trump is delivering the American Dream.” Jason Chaffetz
9:32 AM - Sep 9, 2018
By many measures, it is objectively true that the U.S. is doing better under Trump than it did under Obama. And that is really really angering a lot of Democrats to the point that they have to reflexively deny Trump has done ANY good. Good luck with that in the midterms, idiots.
AND it helps Trump’s case that the media keeps giving him examples of their breathtakingly stupid liberal bias. LIKE this guy!!
UPDATE:
Trump praised his own tariff goodness as well:
“Ford has abruptly killed a plan to sell a Chinese-made small vehicle in the U.S. because of the prospect of higher U.S. Tariffs.” CNBC. This is just the beginning. This car can now be BUILT IN THE U.S.A. and Ford will pay no tariffs!
If the U.S. sells a car into China, there is a tax of 25%. If China sells a car into the U.S., there is a tax of 2%. Does anybody think that is FAIR? The days of the U.S. being ripped-off by other nations is OVER!
UPDATE:
AND he’s spiking the football on North Korea!!!
North Korea has just staged their parade, celebrating 70th anniversary of founding, without the customary display of nuclear missiles. Theme was peace and economic development. “Experts believe that North Korea cut out the nuclear missiles to show President Trump......
