Corfu (1)
[by Javier de Blas in Corfu, Greece] Between 15th and 26.10.2018, Javier Triviño and I are traveling through Corfu. "This is another network to hunt tourists"; so we think, scared, the first morning that, as is logical, the inertia leads us to those streets full of what we outsiders believe should be the local typism. But the silky water of our morning baths, the peaceful siestas and the dinners in really local taverns make us change our opinion. The Mikro Café has something that makes it familiar. It extends through two streets and three heights, ending in a cozy garden-terrace. In a certain way and even with its very urban style, it is like those village bars with a terrace, where space is not a problem.
One day we go to the hermitage of Kannoni. The one that inevitably appears in all the photos and that almost touches the plane when taking land. Another day to Faliraki. Triviño goes down to swim while I draw the beautiful bay. Then, I also go to swim.
We live at 30m. from the seaside and when we return every evening, the sunset view is the best aperitif before our tavern dinner.
The Asian Art Museum has beautiful pieces. They say here, that it is the most complete in the world ...
