Professor Dershowitz vows ‘secret’ emails about sexual allegations will emerge and put ‘prominent people in handcuffs’

Alan Dershowitz claims that the sexual allegations against him are retaliatory and “secret” emails will soon clear his name.
The Harvard Law professor emeritus defended himself in an interview Thursday with WNYW’s “Good Day New York,” denying claims that he had sexual relations with underage women and contending that he has proof he is being framed.
“There are emails so far that are secret, but that prove, not only that I was framed, but who framed me,” Dershowitz said.
“It names names. These people are going to go to jail once these emails come out because this was a total frame up for financial reasons, and I can prove it, and will prove it,” he added. “Have me back on the show when the emails come out, boy it will be so interesting because there will be prominent people in handcuffs. Prominent people in handcuffs once these emails come out.”
The women accusing Dershowitz claimed they met him through Jeffrey Epstein, the multimillionaire sex offender from Florida who was Dershowitz’s client.
The allegations are “totally made up,” the prominent attorney said of the claims made by Virginia Roberts and then Sarah Ransome. In court documents in January 2015, Roberts claimed that she and Dershowitz had sexual encounters several times at different Epstein properties, as reported in part of a series from the Miami Herald.
“Look, as to the first woman who accused me, her own lawyer admitted in front of witnesses that she was wrong, just wrong, that I couldn’t have been in the places,” Dershowitz said on Good Day.
He had denied the allegations in an Op-Ed for the Miami Herald, saying he had proof his accuser had lied.
“I have a tape recording of a conversation with Roberts’ closest friend in which she says that Roberts told her she ‘felt pressure to go after [Dershowitz]’ in order to obtain money from a wealthy businessman,” Dershowitz wrote last month. “The evidence of my innocence is indisputable: I never met Roberts; I never had sex with her; she simply made up the entire story for money.”
He also denied allegations made by Ransome and claimed he never had sex with her and never even met her, accusing her powerhouse attorney, David Boies, of making up the stories to get back at him.
“The second woman,” Dershowitz told Good Day, “is a woman who wrote to the New York Post claiming she had video tapes of Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump having sex with underage girls. The New York Post said, ‘We don’t believe you.’ They wouldn’t even publish her story, but, she’s one of the people.”
Dershowitz explained that Boies “is furious at me because I filed Bar charges, unethical Bar charges against him.” He claimed that Boies “threatened me, that unless I withdrew the Bar charges he would find somebody else to accuse me.”
The legal scholar also laid out his views in multiple tweets last month, repeating his assertion that he was being framed.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) lashed out at President Trump’s agenda to build a wall to secure the southern border on Friday afternoon.
“The fact is, a wall is an immorality!” Pelosi yelled, adding, “It’s not who we are as a nation.”
One must suspend reality altogether to believe such an absurd statement like that. Nothing defines a nation more than its borders; a country without borders ceases to exist.
Pelosi took her delusions to the next level and said the wall President Trump wants to build is not between the United States and Mexico, rather “it’s a wall between reality and his constituents, his supporters.”
“He does not want them to know what he’s doing to medicare, medicaid and social security in his budget proposal. He does not want them to know what he’s doing to clean air and clean water and the rest in his department of interior and of EPA.”
“He is a master of diversion,” Pelosi said as her hand flailed around.

In a presser at the Rose Garden on Friday, the President revealed that he had considered declaring a national emergency to secure border wall funding and said, “I still might.”
President Trump also threatened to keep the government shut down for a long period of time — months or even years.
The Democrats have nothing to offer American taxpayers, they work around the clock to protect illegal aliens because all they care about is control and votes.

U.S. Institute of Peace / Flickr Doug MainwaringJanuary 4, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – In a shocking reversal, the Vatican reportedly indicated that it deemed the allegations of sexual abuse by Archbishop Theodore McCarrick against an altar boy, found to be credible by the Archdiocese of New York, to be “not credible,” essentially nullifying the grievous testimony upon which the Holy See’s case against the prelate was being built.
The former altar boy, 16 years old at time the abuse occurred in 1972, had testifiedthat in preparation for Christmas Mass at New York’s venerable St. Patrick’s Cathedral, McCarrick sexually abused him in the Cathedral’s sacristy and then again a year later in a lavatory.
“The credible evidence has been dropped because the altar boy went to St. Patrick’s Cathedral to solicit sex from McCarrick,” according to James Grein, another man whom McCarrick had abused as a boy. As a newly ordained priest, McCarrick had baptized Grein when he was an infant and then molested him repeatedly for 18 years beginning when Grein was just 11 years old.
“He was 16 years old,” so “he was a consensual adult,” added Grein in his recent interview with Taylor Marshall. “There was no crime.”
Despite the fact that the United States views a 16 year old as a minor, Canon law views a young person of that age as having reached the age of majority.
“The Vatican is attempting to recast the molestation as somehow ‘consensual sex,’” noted Church Militant’s Michael Voris in a video report.
Voris also pointed out that this echoes a notion promoted by Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) meeting in November, that consensual homosexual sex involving priests with young men is somehow not all that egregious.
The Vatican’s apparent attempt to discredit and downplay the charges against McCarrick raises a “big red flag,” said Voris, who asserted, “The Vatican is more concerned with cover-up than the truth.”
“Many are thinking that all of this is just one huge smoke screen,” said Voris, who suggested “Rome has no real concern about this issue, too easily adopts a ‘blame the victim approach,’ and is content to treat this scandal as just an ‘American thing’ that will be forgotten soon enough.”
Because the initial case against McCarrick seems to be crumbling, Grein’s sworn testimony last week to Church authorities conducting the Vatican’s investigation into McCarrick’s long history of sexual predation may soon become the cornerstone –– and the last hope –– for any canonical action to be taken by the Holy See against McCarrick.
Though canon law may be lenient on McCarrick for his despicable sexual abuse of the altar boy in the sacristy of a St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Grein’s abuse occurred during confession, which canon law views as a capital crime.
Grein explained that when he was a young boy, McCarrick, who was a close friend of his parents, brought him to a third floor bedroom in the Grein family’s house to hear his confession, far away from the others who were gathered on the main floor.
McCarrick told Grein he wanted to “hear my sins of the mind and body.”
“And as he blesses me, he puts his right hand on my right shoulder and starts to bless me with Holy Water down my body,” recounted Grein, “and then he massages my genitals, and he kisses me there.”
Because the sexual abuse began when Grein was just 11 years old, this is clearly a case of abuse of a minor that cannot be excused as consensual sex by higher ups in Vatican City seeking to protect the now-disgraced former cardinal.
According to Patrick Noaker, Grein’s attorney, the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) is considering charging McCarrick with three distinct canonical crimes based on his treatment of Grein when he was a boy: sexual contact with a minor; sexual contact with an adult, since the abuse continued for nearly 20 years; and perhaps most chillingly, soliciting sex from a penitent during confession (canon 1395 §1 and 2 and §1387).
Grein’s personal testimony confirms precisely why such an act by a priest or prelate within the Sacrament of Penance is a capital crime: “The biggest thing he did to me was he made me lose my faith in Jesus Christ, which condemns me to hell and death.”

Democrat Spending Bill Offers $12 Billion More for Foreign Aid, $0 for Border Wall
The spending bills proposed by House Democrats to end the partial government shutdown offer no funding for a U.S.-Mexico border wall, but provide over $12 billion more in foreign aid than the Trump administration requested, according to a statement on Thursday from the White House Office of Management and Budget.
The statement warned the new House Democrat majority of President Trump’s intention to veto the bills, noting that the administration “cannot accept legislation that provides unnecessary funding for wasteful programs while ignoring the Nation’s urgent border security needs.”
The statement reiterated President Trump’s request for “at least $5 billion for border security” and asserted that the Democrats’ proposal “does not come close to providing these necessary investments and authorities.”
The White House then highlighted the billions in funding the Democrats are offering for “unnecessary programs at excessive levels” beyond what the Trump administration requested, including:

$12 billion more for “international affairs programs,” including $2.9 billion more “for economic and development assistance, including funding for the West Bank/Gaza, Syria, and Pakistan, where our foreign aid is either frozen or under review.”

$700 million more than requested for the United Nations, including restored funding for the United Nation’s Population Fund, which would undermine the administration’s Mexico City Policy that bars the use of taxpayer dollars for foreign organizations that “promote or perform abortions.”

The statement’s full passage regarding the Democrats’ additional funding reads:
The six bills provided for under H.R. 21 provide funding at levels nearly 20 percent higher than the President’s FY 2019 Budget. For instance, H.R. 21 provides $12 billion more for international affairs programs, 29 percent higher than the President’s request. This includes $2.9 billion more than the request for economic and development assistance, including funding for the West Bank/Gaza, Syria, and Pakistan, where our foreign aid is either frozen or under review. It includes $700 million more than requested for the United Nations, including restoring funding for the United Nations Population Fund. The bill would also undermine the President’s Mexico City Policy (Presidential Memorandum of January 23, 2017), which prohibits the funding of foreign nongovernmental organizations that promote or perform abortions. Further, H.R. 21 includes approximately $2 billion in excessive Environmental Protection Agency funding, providing funds beyond the Agency’s core mission and including funding for programs that can and should be executed at the local level. The bill also includes substantial unrequested funding for HUD programs, including $7.1 billion above the FY 2019 Budget request for HUD rental assistance programs. These and other excessive spending items makes the lack of adequate border funding in the combined package all the more unacceptable.
“The administration looks forward to working with the Congress to enact appropriations that will adequately secure the Nation’s borders and get the federal government back to work for the American people as soon as possible,” the statement concluded.
Update: The Democrat spending bills passed the House on Thursday night. The first bill, a continuing resolution to fund the Department of Homeland Security until February 8, passed by 239-192. The bill would “keep border security funding at $1.3 billion, providing no new funding for the barrier along the southern border,” the Hill reports. The second bill to fund the other six agencies through September passed by 241-190.

Newly-elected President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro is calling on the firing of non-elected government officials known to have communist views.
According to Brazilian media outlet, Noticias, the call came at the first official meeting of the President’s cabinet.
Bolsonaro’s Chief of Staff Onyx Lorenzoni announced the move, saying that “society said enough to socialist and communist ideas that in the last 30 years have led us to the current chaos.”
“It does not make sense to have a government like the one we have now, with people who defend other ideas or another form of society’s organization,” Lorenzoni also stated.
According to Lorenzoni, over 300 officials on temporary contracts who are believed to have communist views are being dismissed from their duties, and they will continue to identify other officials known to have those views.
Bolsonaro is known for being a right-wing populist, much in the same mold as President Trump. He has been dubbed the “Trump of the Tropics” by some.
His distinction as a Trump-like politician comes from his anti-establishment positions, and bold proclamations, like his pledge to follow Trump’s lead in moving Brazil’s Israeli embassy to Jerusalem.
Trump has praised Bolsonaro on Twitter, a move the Brazilian President has reciprocated.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen got into a tense confrontation this week, with the California Democrat interrupting Nielsen’s presentation on border security and illegal immigration, telling her “I reject your facts.”
The clash between the top House Democrat and a key member of President Trump's Cabinet occurred during a Wednesday meeting in the White House amid the impasse over the government shutdown, with Trump standing firm and demanding $5 billion for the border wall.
At one point during the meeting, according to the Wall Street Journal, Pelosi interrupted Nielsen, who was citing statistics related to the border, including how many criminal illegal immigrants attempted to enter the U.S. last year.

Following the episode, Nielsen went to social media to criticize Pelosi and the Democrats for not wanting to hear about the issue of illegal immigration.
“I am disappointed that Dems did not want to hear from @DHSgov about the security & humanitarian crisis we are facing at the border,” Nielsen wrote. “They didn’t want to hear about criminal aliens, drug smugglers, smuggled & abused children or violent caravans trying to breach the border wall.”

Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, the second-ranking Senate Democrat, also criticized Nielsen’s presentation, telling Bloomberg that it “was not a credible presentation.”
“It was preposterous,” Durbin said. “At a time when we have the lowest level of apprehensions at the border — stopping people from coming in illegally — the lowest level historically, she is saying that we have all these terrorists and criminals and all these people on their way in.”
Nielsen reportedly told the Democrats at the meeting that border officials along the U.S.-Mexico border had apprehended about 3,000 people with terrorist ties and 17,000 criminals last year.
Pelosi also asked the DHS head whether she was counting anyone crossing the border illegally as having a criminal record, with the administration denying that’s how the figure was devised.
Wednesday’s meeting didn’t resolve the government shutdown as both sides continue to stick to their principles and refuse to concede.
On Friday, following another contentious meeting in the White House with congressional leaders, Trump warned that the partial government shutdown could last “years” and saying he could even declare a “national emergency” to bypass Congress if necessary to build the wall.
“We can call a national emergency [to build a border wall] because of the security of our country,” Trump told reporters in the Rose Garden, during a lengthy and impromptu press conference on Friday.
“I may do it,” he said, before adding, “If we can do it through a negotiated process, we’re giving it a shot.”

Chuckie Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and other Democrats went back to the White House on Friday for another meeting about resolving the government shutdown.
Democrats walked in expecting Trump to cave in and reopen the government.
But Schumer had no idea what Trump was about to hit him with.
Democrats figured that the longer the shutdown lasted, the more the pressure would build on Trump to fold on his demands for five billion in wall funding.
Some weak-kneed Republicans like Colorado Senator Cory Gardner and Maine Senator Susan Collins already began to break ranks.
So Democrats thought they held the upper hand.
But that all changed when Schumer and Pelosi walked into the White House.
Trump told the Democrats he was willing to keep the government shutdown for years.
Schumer now says Trump "said he'd keep the government closed for a very long period of time -- months or even YEARS."
This is not the normal government shutdown.
Trump refused to back down as Republicans have in the past.
Even though Democrats dug their heels in and opposed any wall funding, Trump and the GOP hold all the cards.
That’s because Republicans in the Senate can block any bill from a vote that does not include border wall funding.
And Trump needs to sign any legislation to reopen the government.
So Democrats have to meet Trump on his turf and provide funding for the wall in order to end this standoff.
