Save the Date! Donald Trump Announces ‘Salute to America’ on July 4th

President Donald Trump announced plans for a major event celebrating the United States on Independence Day.

“HOLD THE DATE!” Trump wrote on Twitter. “We will be having one of the biggest gatherings in the history of Washington, D.C., on July 4th.”

The president revealed that the event would be called “A Salute to America” and would be held at the Lincoln Memorial.

“Major fireworks display, entertainment and an address by your favorite President, me!” he wrote.

Trump has repeatedly stated his desire to host a military parade in Washington, DC, but estimated costs made it prohibitively expensive.

Presidents traditionally host an event at the White House for Independence Day honoring the United States military which includes fireworks. Trump appears to be planning a bigger event for 2019.

Earlier this month, Trump revealed his plan for the event, noting that it made sense to coincide with the 4th of July.

“The fireworks is there anyway, so we just saved on fireworks,” he said. “We get free fireworks because it’s already being done.”

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is getting his comeuppance from former vice presidential candidate, Sen. Joseph Lieberman.

The former senator is now head of United Against Nuclear Iran, an NGO that is laboring to identify, discourage and target corporations around the world that are doing business with Iran.

Putin lashed back, seeking to “draw your attention to the cases of intimidation” of Russian business by UANI, accusing them of “threatening Russian companies who do legal business with Iran.”

Lieberman replied that the criticism was “unacceptable” and said the “outburst” was due to the fact that UANI has been effective in convincing the business community that doing business with Iran dangerous and risky.

Putin does a service in calling our attention to the wonderful work of UANI and underscoring its many successes in choking off commerce in Iran until the mullahs stop developing nuclear weapons.

While President Donald Trump and the Treasury Department have been notably successful in enforcing sanctions against Iran, the co-operation of NGOs like UANI is essential.

Monica Lewinsky moving up after Bill Clinton and #MeToo movement

For years, Monica Lewinsky was all but forced to live in the shadows because of her infamous affair with then-President Bill Clinton.

Now, Lewinsky is not just back in the limelight — she is thriving. In fact, she’s heading to Ireland to be a keynote speaker at the Talent Summit conference in Dublin this week.

Back in the Spotlight

The country first came to know Monica Lewinsky’s name in 1998. It was then we all found about the now infamous blue dress and her affair with Bill Clinton. In her early 20s at the time, she was far too young to handle the amount of scrutiny that was headed her way.

While she was complicit in the affair, she was also a victim of a very powerful man. Clinton used his position as president to manipulate her and ended up sending her off in disgrace.

Of how she was treated, Lewinsky said later, “I ceased being a three-dimensional person. Instead, I became a whore, a bimbo, a slut, and worse.”

But today, she has turned what was once an embarrassing moment into a way to offer strength to other women. As a social activist today, Lewinsky channels her energy into fighting bullying on social media.

Moving On

It was only a few years ago that Lewinsky was able to start talking about what happened to her. Her Ted Talk in Vancouver in 2015 went viral and thrust Lewinsky back into the spotlight, but this time in a good way.

Initially, she was flooded with angry comments from viewers, calling Lewinsky all sorts of disgusting names. However, those comments caused more and more women to come out to show their support for Lewinsky. The negativity they saw gave them a taste of what Lewinksy has had to deal with over the last two decades.

Then, in 2017, the Harvey Weinstein scandal broke and the #MeToo movement was born. Lewinsky quickly became one of the faces associated with it.

Lewinsky recently participated in a cable special documenting Clinton’s presidential scandal and his impeachment proceedings, making even more people aware of just how twisted Bill Clinton really is.

As Lewinsky’s star rises, Bill and Hillary Clinton are on the wane. For the first time, the #MeToo scandals forced Democrats and the media to reconsider the Clintons’ treatment of Lewinsky and the other women who’ve accused Bill of wrongdoing — and what they see isn’t pretty.

An American Epidemic: Toxic Imbecility

I’m a doctor. Fine, I’m a doctor of laws not of medicine. But I can scroll Web, M.D. as well as anyone, so believe you me—forget all the other scourges ravaging our free republic, even if (nay, especially if) they are afflicting you.

Those scourges are mere distractions from the root cause of our impending doom. No, I’m not talking about climate change/global warming/new Ice Age or whatever current false alarm the Left is sounding, for that false alarm is itself is a symptom of the new scourge; and, at the risk of sounding alarmist, our demise may well occur within the next twelve years.

For, as President Abraham Lincoln ominously noted, “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” And Mr. Lincoln wasn’t just talking about Jussie Smollett paying for his hoax hate crime with a check.

What is this postmodern plague consuming our nation?

Toxic imbecility.

And where is the hot zone where this imbecilic chicken first came home to roost and now appears ready to cook our goose? An educated guess is that it’s wherever educators first devolved into indoctrinators, turning young people’s brains into carriers of leftist bumper sticker tropes. (Perhaps some of the $3 billion sitting in New York City’s coffers that the Amazonian plutocrat Jeff Bezos didn’t steal from hard working folks can now be invested in remedial courses in economics for elected officials? But I digress.)

Regardless of the exact location for the ground zero of this toxic imbecility (which ultimately renders its victims’ IQs), the scourge’s spread is bipartisan. On the Left, collusion conspiracy theorists, Democratic Socialists (redundant), celebrities, pundits, and the elitist cable media prove toxic imbecility can be an airborne pathogen, as well as spread by human contact with the Washington Post, the New York Times, and other vestiges of so-called “respectable journalism.” The scourge then manifests itself in the afflicted as an obstinate, irrational belief in injurious idiocies, such as the weaponized lie of the Russian collusion delusion, the defamation of the Covington Catholic high schoolers and so many others instances of toxic imbecility.

On the “Right,” useful idiots compound the spread of toxic imbecility through human interaction with, say, a back issue of the now-defunct Weekly Standard or staring at a screen grab of The Bulwark; and, if untreated, it can lead the afflicted to follow Max Boot on Twitter and tattooing #NeverTrump onto their rumps (right beside where their heads entered).

Other symptoms of toxic imbecility include but are certainly not limited to the following:

A febrile fever (colloquially termed, “feeling the Bern”), which leaves one seized with prehensile fingers grasping for other people’s money.
A feeling of irrational gratitude when 25,000 jobs won’t be coming to town to enrich your neighbors.
A delusion that Chicago is “MAGA country,” where Trump supporters brave sub-zero temperatures to accost celebrities whose shows they don’t watch because they’re racist homophobes.
A persistent aching for open borders everywhere except in your gated community.
A paranoid belief that President Trump, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, U.S. Representative Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the NRA, the GOP, the NRCC, the NRSC and, hell, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir are all Russian assets.
Conflating contrary views with violence and hate speech; demanding safe spaces from such differing ideas; and a generalized, free-floating anxiety about the dangers of free speech.
Being possessed by Trump Derangement Syndrome (a disorder in and of itself), often manifested by espousing one’s chilling sense that the Putin-sponsored, illegitimate imposition upon America of President Trump means we are all going to die sooner than climate change can kill us.

Tragically, the symptoms of #ToxicImbecility appear to be endless. Fortunately, the vaccine, for those not yet infected, and the antidote, for those now suffering the scourge, is relatively succinct; readily available and, thanks to the internet, largely free: read liberal doses of Edmund Burke, Russell Kirk, William F. Buckley, Jr. and Victor Davis Hanson; escape your safe space; and embrace reality. Yes, it’s that simple.

Liberalism isn’t as popular as Democrats would have you believe

While socialist-loving Democrats would love nothing more than convince the average voter that liberalism is on the rise, nothing could be further from the truth, according to a new Gallup poll.

The residents of most U.S. states are more likely to identify as conservative than as liberal in their political ideology. In 25 states, the conservative advantage is significantly greater than the national average, including 19 “highly conservative” states in which conservatives outnumber liberals by at least 20 percentage points. Meanwhile, in six states, there are more liberals than conservatives.

Nationally, the conservative advantage in ideological identification is nine percentage points, and reflects a narrowing of the conservative-liberal gap from 21 points in 2004.

“The number of states in which more residents identify as liberal than as conservative is down slightly from nine in 2017,” the survey shows. “States that barely tilted liberal in 2017 barely tilted conservative in 2018,” marking a significant shift.

The states that do lean liberal have some of the most oppressive taxes, highest costs of living, and unfriendly business climates in the country. New York recently ran a new Amazon.com headquarters out of the state, costing billions in tax revenue and tens of thousands of high-paying jobs.

The poll doesn’t conclude why the shift has occurred, but, without question, the nation is going more conservative. Some experts believe that the sudden socialist shift in the Democrat party has pushed moderate liberals to the other side while others see Trump’s success as the nation’s leader as a unifying force for the right.

While the country enjoys its best economy in a generation, Democrats can do little but complain and they offer no solutions to the border crisis. The constant whining is seen by many as infantile and petty while Republicans continue to enjoy the fruits of two years of conservative policy at the federal level.

The results of this poll might just show that Americans again have a good answer to what Ronald Reagan once asked: “Are you better off now that you were four years ago?”

The answer is yes, and it is conservative policies that have made that happen.

Watching ‘Black Panther’ Saved A Boy’s Life

A little boy was impaled through the face and all the way through to the back of his head after falling 4 feet from a tree house and onto a MEAT SKEWER.

He survived.

Why?

Well… because of what he learned from watching “Black Panther.”

According to Fox News:

A Missouri boy said watching the film “Black Panther” — which won three Oscars Sunday night — saved his life after he was impaled by a 12-inch meat skewer last year in what he called a “terrifying miracle.”

Xavier Cunningham was playing in a treehouse with two friends when a swarm of yellow jackets attacked him and he tripped and landed on the BBQ steak. His mother rushed him to the ER and doctors commended Xavier Cunningham for remaining calm and resisting the urge to pull out the skewer, which could have caused permanent brain damage or death. But the 11-year-old Harrisonville boy said he knew exactly what to do after watching the fictional superhero flick.

“I watched ‘Black Panther,'” Xavier told CBN News, referring to what happened to Michael B. Jordan’s character in the film after he was stabbed with a dagger. “At the end of it, how he just takes it out and dies – so I was like, ‘Nope!'”

OMG! Sweet, smart boy!

But at the end of the day, he KNOWS who’s in charge:

But ultimately, he credits Jesus who “gave His life for us and after this, it’s just like He really truly is the God almighty.”

How is he now?

Since the near-death experience five months ago, Xavier has made a full recovery and his scars are barely noticeable.

He said the incident brought his family closer to one another and to their faith.

“Every day I see a miracle in my house,” his mother, Gabrielle Cunningham, said tearfully. “He is a living, walking miracle. The hand of God was on my son!”

It just melts my heart.

I’m not a huge “Black Panther” fan… but I’ll give them a point for this one. I mean, how many movies have ACTUALLY saved a life
