“HOLD THE DATE!” Trump wrote on Twitter. “We will be having one of the biggest gatherings in the history of Washington, D.C., on July 4th.”
The president revealed that the event would be called “A Salute to America” and would be held at the Lincoln Memorial.
“Major fireworks display, entertainment and an address by your favorite President, me!” he wrote.
Trump has repeatedly stated his desire to host a military parade in Washington, DC, but estimated costs made it prohibitively expensive.
Presidents traditionally host an event at the White House for Independence Day honoring the United States military which includes fireworks. Trump appears to be planning a bigger event for 2019.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a lightning rod for controversy.
But any publicity is good publicity.
And Ocasio-Cortez is learning that the hard way after she got busted for a scandal that will leave you speechless.
The scandals are starting to pile up for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
There was the brew-ha-ha over the “Green New Deal” draft that proposed using taxpayer money to guarantee income for individuals “unwilling to work.”
Ocasio-Cortez and her office claim the document was doctored or the wrong draft was mistakenly posted to her website, however, a copy using the same language was sent to media outlets like NPR.
Then she got caught giving her boyfriend a house.gov email address and allegedly using a PAC to pay him.
Now the mushrooming scandal about her residency threatens to consume her career.
After Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won her election to Congress last November, she created an uproar when the Democrat Socialist complained that her six figure Congressional salary wasn’t enough for her to live in both Washington and her New York district.
Many Americans frowned upon a privileged elected official complaining about having to make do with $174,000 a year.
But it also led some reporters – of course, not the ones at the fake news outlets like CNN, Washington Post or the New York Times, mind you – to follow up and explore her living situation.
Reporters from the conservative leaning New York Post staked out the residence Ocasio-Cortez claims to live in her district and found that she’s lying about living there.
The New York Posts exclusively reports:
HER APARTMENT’S NEXT-DOOR NEIGHBOR SAID SHE HAD NEVER SEEN OCASIO-CORTEZ. ANOTHER NEIGHBOR, WHO HAS LIVED DOWN THE HALL FROM THE CONGRESSWOMAN’S APARTMENT FOR THE LAST 40 YEARS, SAID HE’D NEVER SEEN HER OR HER BOYFRIEND, RILEY ROBERTS, WHO HAS CLAIMED THE ADDRESS AS HIS OWN SINCE LAST SPRING.
“I WOULD HAVE REMEMBERED,” SAID THE NEIGHBOR WHEN SHOWN A PHOTOGRAPH OF OCASIO-CORTEZ.
WORKERS AT JERRY’S PIZZERIA, LESS THAN A BLOCK FROM HER BUILDING, AND AT THE LOCAL GROCERY STORE SAID SHE HAD NEVER PATRONIZED THEIR BUSINESSES — AND A SERVER AT A NEARBY TAQUERIA SAID THE CONGRESSWOMAN HAD ONLY COME IN TO BE FILMED BY NEWS CREWS.
A POSTAL WORKER WHO DELIVERS MAIL TO THE BUILDING SAID THAT IN THE LAST 10 YEARS HE HAS ONLY SEEN OCASIO-CORTEZ INTERMITTENTLY, AND THAT SEVERAL MONTHS’ WORTH OF MAIL REGULARLY ACCUMULATES IN THE MAILBOX BEFORE ANYONE BOTHERS TO COLLECT IT. THE WORKER SAID THAT OCASIO-CORTEZ AND ROBERTS WERE THE ONLY ONES GETTING MAIL AT THE ADDRESS.
The reporters also dug into her plans for a district office and found that one does not yet exist.
Ocasio-Cortez’s false claim of residency is raising eyebrows given that, when she initially jumped in the race for Congress, she provided an address for a different Congressional district – which she eventually corrected.
Reporters at the Washington Examiner also found that Ocasio-Cortez – whom despite her complaints that her salary didn’t afford her a living wage for residences in New York and Washington, and who owns a 430 credit score – lived in one of the most exclusive and expensive apartment buildings in Washington, D.C.
A simple studio apartment in her building runs nearly $2,000 and the Examiner’s report also included its luxury amenities, such as, “two private massage rooms with state-of-the-art hydrotherapy beds; men’s and women’s saunas; a full-scale demonstration kitchen with wood-fired pizza oven; a 25-meter indoor lap pool; a rooftop infinity pool with panoramic views of the Capitol; a Peloton cycling studio with over a dozen bikes; and a fireside lounge featuring a Steinway & Sons player piano.”
“Also included is a PGA-grade golf simulation lounge with a wrap-around screen and viewing bar that allows residents to play virtually at dozens of the world’s most exclusive golf courses with the touch of a button.”
Is Ocasio-Cortez able to afford such posh living conditions because she’s faking living in her district back in New York?

The Trump Organization, now being run on a day-to-day basis by Mr. Trump’s sons, wrote a check Monday for $191,538 to cover benefits the company received from events, hotel stays and other spending from foreign governments at their hotel in Washington and other locations in 2018, according to The Associated Press.

The donation was made to fulfill the promise made by Mr. Trump prior to his inauguration when he drew controversy for not divesting himself fully from his global real estate company prior to taking office.
Critics cited clauses in the Constitution that prevent any president from accepting payments or gifts from foreign and domestic leadership without congressional approval, saying that Mr. Trump’s decisions could be based on the private interests of his company and family and not public interest.
Mr. Trump also said he would prevent conflicts of interest by not personally negotiating deals with foreign entities and bringing in unaffiliated counsels to inspect domestic deals while he is in office.
POLL: Pro-Life Americans SKYROCKET, Equaling Supporters of Abortion
A recent poll has indicated that Americans are just as likely to be pro-life as they are to be pro-abortion.
In light of the recent push to make abortion acceptable at any stage of pregnancy – including post-birth infanticide – a Marist poll has shown that public opinion on abortion has had “a dramatic shift”, according to Barbara Carvalho, director of the poll that was commissioned by the Knights of Columbus.
Axios reports the poll findings:
“The poll found Americans are now as likely to identify as pro-life (47%) as they are pro-choice (47%). Last month, a similar Marist survey found that Americans were more likely to identify as pro-choice than pro-life 55% to 38%, a 17-point gap.”
“The survey also found that 80% of Americans support abortion being limited to the first three months of pregnancy, an increase of 5 percentage points since last month’s Marist poll.”

Why is this important? In an interview with Axios, Carvalho stated that this recent poll was “the first time since 2009 that as many or more Americans have identified as pro-life as have identified as pro-choice.” But, what makes the poll even more interesting is the discovery that more and more sensible Democrats are classifying themselves as pro-life, disagreeing with the Democrat-proposed radical late-term abortion bills.
“But what Carvalho said she found most significant was that Democrats, specifically those under the the age of 45, seem to be leading the shift: This month’s poll found 34% of Democrats identify as pro-life vs. 61% pro-choice. Last month, those numbers were 20% and 75%, respectively.”
“Among Americans under 45, 47% identify as pro-life vs. 48% pro-choice. In January, those numbers were 28% and 65%, respectively.”
“This has been a measure that has been so stable over time. To see that kind of change was surprising. And the increased discussion [of late-term abortion] in the public forum in the past month appears to have made the biggest difference in how people identify on the issue,” Carvalho said.
I seem to remember pictures of these flower children sticking flowers into the barrels of national guardsmen’s rifles as they were supposed to be the party of peace and love.

They were against the draft…
But something changed and changed fundamentally.
The left has become violent…
Extremely violent, and it seems like they’re ramping up their attacks — which the general public wouldn’t know or understand because it’s not covered by the mainstream media.
It makes me nervous that they won’t start paying attention until somebody dies — and mark my words — if things keep moving in the direction they’re headed now…
Unfortunately, that event will happen much sooner than later.
It’s scary.
If you know where to look — it’s easy to find.
Sometimes, the attacks are verbal…
Sometimes, they take the next step and turn physical.
Take the Bryton Turner case that just happened in New England…
Turner entered one of his favorite Mexican restaurants in the area and took a seat at the bar. He ordered food and was minding his own business when 41-year- old Brazilian immigrant, Rosaine Santos, began cussing at him and ripped his Make America Great Again hat off his head.
The good news is: She was arrested.
However, the report goes on to say that she called and gave her side of the story, in which she claimed she was bullied — and it was just one of the many discriminations she’s experienced at the hands of white America.
Luckily for Turner, the Hispanic bartender who was serving him corroborated his story when asked if Turner provoked Santos in any way, saying, “No, no… he just walked in and ordered food.”
Can you imagine the coverage this story would have gotten if the roles were reversed?
However, what Turner experienced was tame compared to what conservative activist, Hayden Williams had to endure.
Did you see the Williams report on Sean Hannity’s show? You’d probably remember if you did, because Williams was sporting a pretty fresh-looking black eye.
If you didn’t catch the story, let me fill you in…
Williams was at UC Berkeley campus, working a recruiting table for Turning Point USA — a conservative student organization — when he was approached by two men who were obviously agitated.
They approached the table acting crazy and cussing — they were mad about Williams’ sign which read, “Hate Crime Hoaxes Hurt Real Victims” — a sign created in response to the racist and homophobic attack that Jussie Smollett staged in order to gain sympathy (and a raise) from the producers of his TV show, Empire.
Williams told Hannity, “This person said we were promoting violence on campus and proceeded to take his aggression out on us.”
Luckily for Williams, this was all caught on camera…
In the video itself, you can hear the attacker shout at Williams, “Mother f**ker. You racist little inbred b***h. C**t!”
And then… WHAM!
The yet-to-be identified attacker punched Williams right in the face — giving him the aforementioned shiner he was wearing on Hannity’s show.
There couldn’t be anything worse than a physical attack over political views, right?
Well, you’d be wrong…
Because to me, worse than the attack (that was captured on multiple cell phones) was the indifference of the other students standing around, allowing the attack to happen.
In a follow-up interview with Campus Reform, Williams went on to voice his concern over this fact…
“Some students nearby the table were laughing. One guy was smiling while I was being attacked and trying to hand me his flyer as a joke.”
Yeah — the party of peace, love, and equality, huh?
No, they’ve become the party of violent thugs that only attack when in a group — afraid to confront a conservative one-on-one.
This is a disturbing trend on the campuses and streets of America, and I’m truly afraid that people don’t understand the consequences of these hateful actions.
Now, we’re not talking about expulsion or even jail time…
I’m talking something much bigger.
Of the world’s biggest empires, none of them were felled from the attacks of some foreign invader or attacker…
No, every great empire — from the Greeks, to the Romans, to the British — was destroyed from within, by the nations own citizens.
Each attack is a drop in a small bucket…
The next attack could be the one that starts the overflow that will wash away everything America was built on and created for.
Which is the simplest idea ever: freedom.
America is the last bastion of true freedom left on the planet…
But each and every day, the left is ready to erode these freedoms for some virtue-signaling reason or another.
Each request for stricter gun control or hate speech laws is the dirty rat eating away at the beams that hold our country together…
God forbid if they ever get their way.
We need to hold onto our freedoms like somebody lost at sea clings to a life raft…
The moment these liberties are snatched away, they’ll be gone forever.
Even worse, we’ll deserve it…
Ben Franklin was absolutely correct when he said, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
And it’s time we, as a nation, took this to heart…
But if we’re going to be completely honest, the left needs to stop calling themselves tolerant.
They’re not civil in debates or confrontations.
We can only hope that their next target is as calm and cool as Williams and Turner were in the face of their hate.
No, the left is NOT tolerant… at all.
They’re the opposite…
And it’s time to acknowledge that.

Chuck Schumer CAUGHT in ugly abortion bill lie
Senator Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., on Monday blocked a Republican bill that would have saved the lives of babies born alive after botched abortion attempts.
And Schumer was caught lying about the bill when he defended Democrat votes.
Blocking the bill means that the health care providers would have the legal right to kill a fully healthy baby— moving arms, feet, legs, crying for milk and all.
Democrats made their’ voice clear: They couldn’t care less. And they’ll let infanticide go unchecked.
Seemingly out of left field, Schumer even claimed about the bill’s contents would “impose requirements on what type of care doctors must provide in certain circumstances, even if that care is ineffective, contradictory to medical evidence, and against the family’s wishes.”
But the bill doesn’t include specifics. Drawn up by Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., the proposal is fairly simple. It all comes down to one question.
“I want to ask each and every one of my colleagues whether or not we’re OK with infanticide.”
If an infant is born alive during a botched late-term abortion attempt, Sasse’s bill would simply require doctors to render “the same degree” of care used for any birth. The baby would be immediately sent to a hospital and given the care any other child would receive.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell reiterated this point.
“Can the extreme far-left politics surrounding abortion really have come this far?” McConnell asked. “Are we really supposed to think that it’s normal that there are now two sides debating whether a newborn, whether newborn living babies deserve medical attention?”
Supporters said the measure presented lawmakers with a moral choice. Democrats didn’t care.
Senators voted 53-44 for Sasse’s bill — seven votes short of the 60 needed to end Democratic delaying tactics aimed at derailing the measure.
The vote was the latest instance in which Republicans have tried to go on offense on the issue and put Democratic abortion-rights lawmakers in an uncomfortable position.
Democratic Sens. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, Doug Jones of Alabama and Joe Manchin from West Virginia were the only lawmakers to cross party lines as Democrats demonstrated anew that even in the minority, they can derail common sense bills.
Several dozen House Republicans, led by Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., stood on the Senate floor during the vote, just as a contingent of House Democrats did last month during a crucial vote on ending the government shutdown. Republicans control the Senate by 53-47.
