[By Pedro Cabral, in Portugal] Come summer solstice and shepherds convoy all their cattle to higher pastures in Serra da Estrela, the highest portuguese mountain.
Lots of people join them for this one day walk among the herds but shepherds are in command. And for commanding the whole party, shepherds obbey their sheep and goats. When they need a rest, everybody stops!
During this short intervals shepherds stop and wait in some unbalanced positions, leaning on their poles. They seem to be very confortable, prepared to spend a lot of time on those positions.
