SOROS-LINKED GROUP WILL SPEND MILLIONS TO STOP KAVANAUGH

Kevin Daley and Andrew Kerr | Contributor
  • Progressives have formed a new political outfit to mobilize left-wing energy on judicial confirmations, including Judge Kavanaugh
  • The group, Demand Justice, is financed and administratively supported by the Sixteen Thirty Fund
  • George Soros’ advocacy network has given millions to the Sixteen Thirty Fund in recent years
A new political advocacy group that vowed to put $5 million behind an effort to stop Judge Brett Kavanaugh confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court has significant ties to the liberal financier George Soros.
A Daily Caller News Foundation review has found that the group’s primary financial supporter is a nonprofit to whom Soros has given millions.
The group, Demand Justice (DJ), is organized and financed by a 501(c)(4) called the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which collected some $2.2 million in contributions from the Open Society Policy Center (OSPC), one of Soros’ primary donation vehicles, between 2012 and 2016.
The Soros Connection
The Fund is largely financed by a handful of donors. Financial statements filed with state oversight officials in 2014 show just three contributors accounted for 70 percent — or some $11.5 million — of the Fund’s total donations and grant revenue. Disclosure forms filed with the same agency in 2016 present similar facts. Fewer than five donors gave $13.3 million to the Fund, representing 63 percent of their donations.
One of those donors is the OSPC. The Center’s tax forms show the Soros group gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Fund each year between 2012 and 2016, the last year in which records are publicly accessible. The Center gave the Fund $350,000 in 2012, $772,000 in 2013, $125,000 in 2014, $550,000 in 2015, and $481,483 in 2016.
OSPC is practically indistinct from the Open Society Foundations (OSF), Soros’ philanthropic and grant-giving network. OSPC has no employees of its own, according to the Center’s 2016 tax forms. Rather, Foundations employees are compensated for any work done for the Center. Said compensation is determined by the OSF, and documented in OSF’s internal records. (RELATED: Supreme Court Poised For Rightward Shift Under Kavanaugh)
“OSPC has no employees,” the form reads. “Employees of Open Society [Foundations], a related section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, perform services for OSPC. OSPC advances funds to Open Society [Foundations] for their services based on the time they spend on OSPC matters. Their compensation is determined by Open Society [Foundations], and is based on market comparability data and is documented in Open Society [Foundations’] records.”
A New Shadow Group
Demand Justice was formed in the spring of 2018 as the progressive counterpart to a constellation of conservative advocacy groups which advertise and organize around judicial confirmations. Republicans have significantly outpaced Democrats in this space in recent years, given conservative voters’ sustained interest in the federal courts.
Executive director Brian Fallon told The New York Times that DJ hopes to “sensitize rank-and-file progressives to think of the courts as a venue for their activism and a way to advance the progressive agenda.”
Its ranks are staffed by alums of the Obama administration and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign: Fallon, the former Clinton campaign press secretary, serves as executive director and longtime Obama aide Christopher Kang is chief counsel. Other Clinton veterans involved with the group include Gabrielle McCaffrey and Diana Bowen, according to LinkedIn.
The Fund serves as Demand Justice’s fiscal sponsor. As such, DJ does not have to submit its own tax returns or disclose its supporters. The Fund registered the trade name “Demand Justice” with the Washington D.C. Department of Consumer and Regulatory affairs on May 2.
The National Council of Nonprofits says that fiscal sponsors provide “fiduciary oversight, financial management, and other administrative services” for its dependents, like Demand Justice. As such, many grants or donations DJ receives are awarded by way of the Fund. Both organizations are based out of the same Washington, D.C., address.
Supporters can also give to DJ through ActBlue Civics, a major fundraising platform for left wing causes.
Given this structure, it is difficult to know how much money individual donors like Soros have channeled to Demand Justice.
The nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court presents the first significant political conflict since DJ was founded in the spring of 2018. The outfit vowed to put $5 million dollars behind a multi-platform effort to stop Kavanaugh’s confirmation. The campaign will feature television spots promoting embattled Democratic Senate incumbents in West Virginia, Indiana, and North Dakota, who face competitive Republican challengers this November.
They will also run ads in Maine and Alaska, urging GOP Sens. Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski to oppose the nomination. Collins and Murkowski are pro choice moderates who have broken with their party on Obamacare repeal and federal funding for Planned Parenthood. The spots urge the senators to protect abortion access by withholding support for nominees who oppose the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

Socialist Darling Ocasio-Cortz Trashes Israel, Calls Them “Occupiers” of Palestine
Jim Hoft by Jim Hoft
Democrat Socialist darling Ocasio-Cortez sent shock waves through the Democrat Party when she defeated the fourth most powerful Democrat in the House of Representatives, Rep. Joe Crowley, in the New York primary in June.

The Democrat Socialists of America support no borders, no profit, no prisons and no cash bail.
This weekend Ocasio Cortez held an interview with Firing Line with Margaret Hoover on PBS.
In typical Socialists fashion Ocasio-Cortez unloaded on Israel:
Ocasio-Cortez: “I also think that what people are starting to see at least with the occupation of Palestine is the increasing crisis of humanitarian condition. And that to me is where I tend to come from on this issue.”

Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attacks Israel, calls them the occupiers of Palestine. When pressed on what she meant she struggled to give an answer and then admitted she does not know what she is talking about.
She is such a joy….Moe

Mueller’s Probe Won’t Be The Same After Trump’s Lawyer Dropped A Bombshell

When it comes to Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, it seems that each side is playing a game of chess.

Each move is strategically designed to take down the other.

And Trump’s legal team just made a crazy play, and the entire investigation will never be the same.

President Donald Trump is known for being unorthodox with his strategies. During the 2016 election, he ran a campaign like nobody had ever seen.

And despite the entire media claiming he would go down in flames, he is currently president, with approval numbers showing that he has a great chance of being re-elected in 2020.

Trump has taken the Mueller investigation in a similar fashion. While initially showing his support for the investigation, in the hopes it would be about finding the truth, he has swiftly turned against it.

He now regularly takes to Twitter calling out the investigation for what it is, a witch hunt. That claim is easily proven if you account for the fact that multiple Trump officials have been indicted by Mueller on charges that did not stem from his 2016 campaign.

And now that the investigation is in its second year, it is clear that President Trump is beyond fed up. That’s why he hired Rudy Giuliani, perhaps the only New Yorker more known for his no-nonsense personality, as his lawyer.

Giuliani has been tough on Mueller and his team, specifically calling for an end to the investigation.

He even went so far as to say that if the investigation isn’t ended by September that he may investigate Mueller for election interference.

With the 2018 midterms being just a month later, that seems to be a very real possibility.

But while Giuliani has been tough, it seems he may be giving Mueller a bone on something he has desperately been demanding.

Mueller’s crown jewel would be a sit-down interview with President Donald Trump.

When talks about a sit-down between Mueller and Trump started, President Trump was all for it. All that President Trump wants to do is clear his name.

But he later realized that while he knows he’s innocent, a sit-down with Mueller could be disastrous.

First off, the interview would be for official government record, so Trump would be under oath. While you are under oath, lying, even unintentionally is enough to be charged with perjury.

Second, Mueller’s legal team is made up almost entirely with Democrats, who Trump regularly refers to as the “thirteen angry Democrats.”

Those Democrats are almost certainly looking to craft questions designed to force Trump to stretch the truth, perhaps on subjects he is not as much in the know about.

That’s why, while Giuliani is leaving the possibility of a sit-down interview on the table, he is making it clear that it will need to be on Trump’s terms, and that the window for this interview is closing.

Giuliani made it clear that while there is an opening for an interview, it’s just a “slight opening.

So far it doesn’t appear that Mueller has responded to Giuliani’s statement.

Attorney Gregg Jarrett CRUSHES Ex-CIA Chief John Brennan For Claiming Trump’s Press Conference “Nothing Short of Treasonous”
Cristina Laila by Cristina Laila

Former CIA Director-turned-Twitter-troll, John Brennan went way off the rails Monday, calling Trump’s presser with Putin an impeachable offense.

Brennan claimed Trump’s presser with Putin exceeded the threshold of “high crimes and misdemeanors” then said it was “nothing short of treasonous.”
Brennan promptly got schooled by attorney Gregg Jarrett.
John Brennan tweeted: Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of “high crimes & misdemeanors.” It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???

Fox News legal analyst, attorney Gregg Jarrett CRUSHED John Brennan shortly after he attacked President Trump’s presser as “nothing short of treasonous.”
Jarrett tweeted: Whenever John Brennan opens his mouth or tweets he removes all doubt about his ignorance. He clearly knows nothing about treason. The U.S. is not at war with Russia. He should read professor Carlton Larson’s excellent analysis of treason in @washingtonpost on 2-17-17,

John Brennan was involved in this attempted coup which is why he’s lashing out on his Twitter account.
In fact, Chairman Nunes is currently investigating whether John Brennan perjured himself in a public testimony about the dossier.
Investigative reporter, Paul Sperry summed it up perfectly, “In 1975, Putin was recruited into the KGB upon graduating from St. Petersburg State U. The next year, John Brennan voted for Communist Party candidate for president of US. Today, Brennan alleged the president was treasonous for meeting with the Russian president.Who’s treasonous?”

PUTIN BOMBSHELL: DEEP STATE MOVED $400 MILLION FROM RUSSIA TO HILLARY CAMPAIGN
Collusion actually between US intelligence and Democrats
Jamie White | Infowars.com
Putin Bombshell: Deep State Moved $400 Million From Russia to Hillary CampaignRussian President Vladimir Putin dropped a bombshell on Monday, accusing US intelligence operatives of funneling $400 million from Russia to the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Putin addressed the Justice Department’s indictments of 12 Russian intelligence officials, and offered for FBI special counsel Robert Mueller to assist with Russia’s own investigation of the Trump-Russia collusion narrative.

TODAY @TODAYshow

“I don’t know the full extent of the situation… and I will look into it.” Russian President Putin on 12 Russian agents indicted for US election hack

“For instance, we can bring up Mr. Browder, in this particular case,” Putin said, referring to a British hedge fund CEO wanted by Interpol on behalf of the Russian government.

“Business associates of Mr. Browder have earned over $1.5 billion in Russia and never paid any taxes neither in Russia or the United Statesand yet the money escaped the country. They were transferred to the United States. They sent [a] huge amount of money, $400,000,000, as a contribution to the campaign of Hillary Clinton.”

“Well that’s their personal case. It might have been legal, the contribution itself but the way the money was earned was illegal,” he continued. “So we have solid reason to believe that some [US] intelligence offers accompanied and guided these transactions. So we have an interest in questioning them.”

Additionally, Browder also has ties to Fusion GPS, the firm who created the notorious “Steele Dossier,” which we now know was paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign to smear then-candidate Donald Trump in 2016.

“Here’s the bottom line: We have congressional testimony, under oath, that Clinton hired the same firm to smear Trump that Putin reportedly used to smear Magnitsky. Moreover, we also know that the Fusion GPS dossier relied on senior Russian government officials for much of the dirt it compiled, including ‘a senior Russian Foreign Ministry figure’ and a ‘former top level intelligence officer still active in the Kremlin.’ Together, those are bombshell revelations,” The Washington Post reported last year.

“Yet today, there is barely a peep in the mainstream media about the Clinton-Fusion-Putin connection.”

Dick Morris: Trump’s Tax Cut Increased Federal Revenue, Liberals Wrong Again
By Dick Morris

The Laffer Curve, named after economist Arthur Laffer, works!

As the Curve predicts, increase in tax rates will tend to raise, rather than lower, actual tax revenues.

President Donald Trump’s tax cuts are becoming a case in point.

Despite the cut in tax rates — brought forward by the introduction, in February, of revised tax withholding tables — federal income tax revenues for the first half of 2018 are 9 percent higher than in the first half of 2017.

The difference comes to $76 billion of unanticipated revenue.

Because the Congressional Budget Office refuses to score tax cuts “dynamically” — that is to recognize the effect of the Laffer Curve, it had predicted an annual increase in the deficit of $139 billion.

Now, half of that projected rise in the deficit has not come true.

Indeed, the Treasury Department’s monthly reports suggest that, despite the tax cut, actual revenues for 2018 will exceed those of 2017.

In explaining the turnabout, the CBO says the increase “largely reflects increases in wages and salaries.”

Just like Laffer predicted!

Too often, to paraphrase Churchill, the myth makes it halfway around the world before the truth puts its pants on in the morning.

But, now, let us circulate the truth to give it time to catch up.

Then, perhaps, we can avoid having the same debate every time a conservative proposes a tax cut.

Prominent Dem pollster says Trump is doing better than his critics say

A prominent Democrat pollster says that President Donald Trump is doing much better than many of his critics would care to admit.

What did the pollster say?

“About six months ago we all thought ‘Oh Trump, he’s going to be in the 30s, the economy, of course, was going to be in the tank,’ and in fact, none of that has happened. So you really have to adjust our models and our thinking to the reality of what’s going on in the country,” Mark Penn, chairman of the Harris Poll, recently said on Hill TV’s “What America’s Thinking.”

Penn is a former aide to Democrat Hillary Clinton’s Senate and presidential campaigns from 2000 to 2008.

During the interview, Penn said Trump’s approval rating trajectory is somewhat different from past presidents. That’s because his approval rating has inched up as the 2018 midterm elections approach, the Hill reported.

A Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released last month found that Trump’s approval rating stands at 47 percent, up from 45 percent in May.

In Gallup’s presidential tracker, Trump has a 41 percent approval rating. Around the same time in Barack Obama’s presidency, Obama had a 46 percent approval rating. That was a more than 20-point drop from when he entered office, The Hill reported.

GOP lawmaker accuses Brennan of being member of Communist Party
BY MAX GREENWOOD

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) accused John Brennan on Monday of having been a member of the Communist Party during the Cold War, saying that the former CIA director lacks the credibility to discuss President Trump's meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

"John Brennan was a disaster as CIA director. He was a disaster as the counterterrorism official. He was a member of the Communist Party during the Cold War," DeSantis said on Fox News.

"So this is not exactly the guy I would listen to about Russia," he added.

DeSantis's comments came hours after Trump sat down with Putin in Helsinki for a highly anticipated summit.

In a joint press conference with the Russian president after the summit, Trump decried the special counsel probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election as "ridiculous" and insisted that there was no collusion between his campaign and Moscow.

While Trump has repeatedly claimed that the special counsel investigation is a "witch hunt," his remarks on Monday were particularly unusual because they came just three days after 12 Russian officials were indicted on charges of hacking Democratic servers during the 2016 election.

Brennan tore into Trump after the remarks, writing on Twitter that the president's comments were "nothing short of treasonous" and insisting that Trump is "wholly in the pocket of Putin."

DeSantis's allegation that Brennan was a member of the Communist Party hinges on the former CIA director's admission that he voted for the Communist Party's presidential candidate, Gus Hall, in 1976.

As Brennan tells it, he was in college at the time and the vote was his way of "signaling my unhappiness with the system, and the need for change." He has said that he was forthcoming about his vote when he entered the CIA and has asserted that he was never a member of the Communist Party.
