Cardinal Burke: 'We Have a Very Grave Problem of a Homosexual Culture in the Church'
Commenting on the sexual abuse problems in the Catholic Church, as evident in the recent cases of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick and the Pennsylvania Grand Jury Report on abuse, Cardinal Raymond Burke, an American, said it is obvious there is a poisonous "homosexual culture" among some priests and bishops and that there "needs to be an open recognition that we have a very grave problem of a homosexual culture in the Church."
In an Aug. 16 interview with Catholic Action for Faith and Family, its president, Thomas McKenna, asked Burke, "Your Eminence, a new wave of clergy sexual abuse has surfaced and is indicating a widespread practice of homosexuality among clergy in dioceses and seminaries across the country. What would you say is the root cause of this corruption?"
Cardinal Burke, a member of the highest court at the Vatican, the Apostolic Signatura, said, "It was clear after the studies following the 2002 sexual abuse crisis that most of the acts of abuse were in fact homosexual acts committed with adolescent young men. There was a studied attempt to either overlook or to deny this."
"Now it seems clear in light of these recent terrible scandals that indeed there is a homosexual culture, not only among the clergy but even within the hierarchy," he said, "which needs to be purified at the root. It is, of course, a tendency that is disordered."
Burke also said this homosexual culture is tied to the anti-life, contraceptive culture prevalent in the United States and globally.
"I think it has been considerably aggravated by the anti-life culture in which we live, namely the contraceptive culture that separates the sexual act from the conjugal union," said Burke. "The sexual act has no meaning whatsoever except between a man and a woman in marriage since the conjugal act is by its very nature for procreation."
"I believe that there needs to be an open recognition that we have a very grave problem of a homosexual culture in the Church, especially among the clergy and the hierarchy, that needs to be addressed honestly and efficaciously," said the cardinal, who also is Patron of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
On the spiritual side and the damage the homosexual abuse crisis causes to the faithful, Burke said, "What we must never permit is that these gravely immoral acts, which have sullied so much the face of the Church, permit us to lose trust in Our Lord, who is the Head and Shepherd of the flock. The Church is His Mystical Body, and we must never lose sight of that truth."
"We should be profoundly ashamed of what certain shepherds, certain bishops, have done, but we should never be ashamed of the Church," he said, "because we know that it is pure and that it is Christ Himself, alive for us in the Church, Who alone is our way to salvation."
EITHER OHR!
EITHER OHR!
The mind-boggling scandal of the Obama administration’s treatment of the Trump presidential campaign continues to unravel, but you’d never know from taking in your news via the mainstream media. Former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr is scheduled to testify under oath this week before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees on August 28. Ohr seems to have served as a conduit for Christopher Steele’s continued service to the FBI after the FBI had supposedly terminated its relationship with Steele and while Ohr’s wife worked for Steele’s Clinton campaign contractor GPS Fusion/Glenn Simpson. What a tangled web. Can Ohr testify truthfully testify without grave legal risk to himself and his confederates?
The congressional committees have obtained a raft of communications passing among Ohr, Steele et al. The Hill’s John Solomon broke the story in the August 7 column “How a senior DOJ official helped Dem researchers on Trump-Russia case.” Solomon reported that “a close review of these new documents shows just how closely Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, who reported to Obama-era Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, maintained contact with Fusion — and, in particular, its primary source, former British spy Christopher Steele — before, during and after the election.” Solomon adds that “the new memos make clear that Ohr, a man whose name was barely uttered during the first 18 months of the scandal, may have played a critical role in stitching together a Democratic opposition research project and the top echelons of the FBI and DOJ.”
The Examiner’s Byron York followed up in the August 8 column “Emails show 2016 links among Steele, Ohr, Simpson — with Russian oligarch in background.”
Drawing on the work of Solomon and York, Margot Cleveland stepped back to consider “How Bruce Ohr Could Implicate High-Ranking Obama Officials In Spygate.”
This past week Sara Carter featured what might be the guiltiest sounding message from Steele. Her column puts part of the message in the headline: “New Texts Reveal Steele Anxious Over Comey Testimony, Hopes ‘Firewalls Will Hold.'” Wow.
Carter reports: “In March, 2017, two days before former FBI Director James Comey testified to lawmakers that the bureau had an open counterintelligence investigation into President Trump’s campaign, former British spy Christopher Steele sent an urgent message to Department of Justice official Bruce Ohr hoping that ‘important firewalls will hold’ when Comey testified.” Carter quotes the message: “We’re a bit apprehensive given scheduled appearance at Congress on Monday. Hoping that important firewalls will hold.” Have they mentioned this over at CNN or MSNBC?
In her weekly Wall Street Journal column Kim Strassel asks a good question: “What was Bruce Ohr doing?” My question is whether we will ever find out or whether those firewalls will hold (and, oh, yeah, what Ohr is doing at the Department of Justice).
Why Do Any Former Officials Get To Keep Their Security Clearances?
Why Do Any Former Officials Get To Keep Their Security Clearances?
By Dick Morris
Why do any former officials ever have a security clearance? And why should they mind so much when it’s terminated?
The firestorm of liberal and media criticism of President Donald Trump for revoking the security clearance of former Director of National Intelligence James Brennan begs the question of why he kept the clearance in the first place after leaving his post.
The answer is not political or legal. It is financial. When men and women exit the revolving door of intelligence jobs, they enter a labor market that values them for their access to information. Having security clearance underpins many lucrative jobs in the private sector. Only about 5,000 Americans have high clearance, many of them not in government. Cutting off clearance curtails their ability to get high six-figure or low seven-figure jobs where they are hired for their access to secret information.
If anyone deserves to have his clearance pulled, it is Brennan. A staunch supporter of appeasement in the war on terror, he re-oriented the intelligence community, turning it around to prosecute those who questioned terrorists rather than the combatants themselves. It was he who made the CIA and the other intelligence organs into functioning tools of the left. His appointees continue to leak classified information, doing their best to sabotage their nominal boss — the president.
Brennan voted communist in the 1980 presidential elections, saying that he did not find either Jimmy Carter or Ronald Reagan to his liking. He lived extensively in the Arab world and rumors circulate that he converted to Islam. He and former Attorney General Eric Holder are jointly responsible for converting the FBI and the CIA into hotbeds of leftist ideology.
He used a clever ruse to do so. Upon being appointed, he moved to “reorganize” the CIA. Formerly the agency had been stratified by function. Information gathering, counter-intelligence, covert action and its other functions each had their own bureau with their separate chiefs. Brennan re-organized this plan into a vertical design where all those operatives who worked in a particular geographic region were put together in one bureau regardless of their function.
Some say he did this re-shuffling to make it easier to fire the incumbents holding staff jobs so he could hire, in their stead, true leftist believers. In any case, it is a matter of record that a great many of the top operatives quit rather than be re-organized. The employees in the high prestige subdivisions like covert action did not want to be lumped in with the desk-bound paper pushers and put in for their retirement pensions.
For Brennan to continue to get security clearance and have access to top-level information was always a mistake. His loyalties are very much subject to question. But that was President Obama’s decision and he had the right to make the appointment. But that mistake should not bind Trump who was right to revoke his clearance.
Hopefully, there will be more revocations to follow.

Pirro: Mueller Is the Dems’ ‘Serial Cleaner’ — Says Former FBI Director Played Role in Benghazi Cover-Up
Saturday on Fox News Channel’s “Justice,” host Jeanine Pirro argued Department of Justice special counsel Robert Mueller was acting in a “cleaner” capacity for Democrats, who she argued was acting on behalf of the so-called “deep state” and it’s alleged botched effort to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.
She likened Mueller to Harvey Keitel’s character Winston Wolfe in the 1994 movie “Pulp Fiction,” who was deployed to help dispose of a dead body.
“When things go terribly wrong for the Democrats, they don’t just call in a cleaner to get the job done, they call in someone who’s been in the clean-up business for a long time,” she said. “They call in the serial cleaner, former FBI director, and now special counsel Bob Mueller.”
Pirro went on to remind her viewers of Mueller’s testimony following the 2012 Benghazi incident that resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including then-U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens.
“You testified after four Americans are killed in Benghazi, to cover for Hillary Clinton’s incompetence,” she added. “Bob, why would you say that the FBI couldn’t get into Benghazi in time?”

'No More Money to This Corrupt Syndicate': Patricia Heaton Takes on the Catholic Church over Predator Priests
Steve Warren
Actress Patricia Heaton is known for her devotion to God and for helping others in need - and now her faith is pushing her to take a serious stand. She used social media this week to express her discontent with the Roman Catholic Church and the ongoing abuse scandals that have rocked the church from Pennsylvania all the way to Vatican City.
Heaton, most recently the star of TV's "The Middle" and "Everybody Loves Raymond," tweeted a note about watching an interview with Cardinal Donald Wuerl, the archbishop of Washington, who's facing calls for his resignation. A bombshell grand jury report this week on rampant abuse in six Pennsylvania dioceses accused Wuerl of helping to protect some child-molesting priests while he was bishop of Pittsburgh from 1988 to 2006.
The report identifies more than a thousand victims of 300 "predator priests" who sexually abused children all the way back to 1940.
Watched another interview with @Cardinal_Wuerl. Bottom line - the Catholic Church will have zero moral authority until everyone who abused or abetted is gone. No excuses. Until then, no more money to this corrupt syndicate. @Pontifex @CardinalDolan

John Brennan's bellicose anti-Trump rhetoric prompts friendly fire among his own defenders

John Brennan's bellicose anti-Trump rhetoric prompts friendly fire among his own defenders
by Naomi Lim
Even as they rally to ex-CIA Director John Brennan's defense after President Trump yanked his security clearance, some high-ranking former intelligence and military officials are simultaneously chastising Brennan for his overtly anti-Trump rhetoric.
"John is an extraordinary servant of the country, but I think he has been incredibly critical of the president and I think that has put him in a political place which actually does more damage for the intelligence community, which is apolitical, even as he's retired," retired Navy Adm. Mike Mullen said during an interview on "Fox News Sunday."
"I really don't support him being as critical of the president as he has been," continued Mullen, who served both former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Despite the harsh rebuke of Brennan, Mullen also compared the White House's move of pulling the clearance from critical ex-officials to acts that would have been committed in the Richard Nixon or Sen. Joseph McCarthy eras. He said Trump's threat to pull security clearances of his critics is evidence that the president is "creating a list of political enemies."
Meanwhile, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who served both Democratic and Republican administrations, described Brennan's public statements Sunday as becoming "an issue in and of itself."
"John is subtle like a freight train and he’s gonna say what’s on his mind," Clapper told CNN's "State of the Union." "I think, though, that the common denominator among all of us that have been speaking up, though, is genuine concern about the jeopardy and threats to our institutions and values, although we may express that in different ways."
Clapper was one of 13 top former senior intelligence officials who signed a letter last week in support of Brennan.
The mixed messages come as Brennan "very much" stood by his claims Sunday that Trump's behavior at his joint Helsinki press conference with Russia President Vladimir Putin in July was "treasonous."
“Well, I called his behavior treasonous, which is to betray one’s trust, and to aid and abet the enemy, and I stand very much by that claim,” Brennan said to NBC News' "Meet the Press."
Brennan reiterated his justification of Trump warranting extra scrutiny because "these are abnormal times." Along with saying he is considering legal action against Trump to prevent him from revoking security clearances from others who have been critical of the commander in chief, Brennan also denied that he is being a partisan.
“I think I need to speak out. And so I’ve been speaking out rather forcefully because I believe it’s important to do so," he said. "I don’t believe I’m being political at all. I’m not a Republican, I’m not a Democrat.”
Brennan's antagonistic approach has made it more politically palatable for Republican lawmakers to side with the Trump administration over what was referred to as an "unprecedented" decision given the lack of consultation conducted by the White House before press secretary Sarah Sanders on Wednesday announced the revocation. Sanders said at the time that Brennan, an MSNBC contributor, had been ripped of his clearance due to “a series of unfounded and outrageous allegations — wild outbursts on the Internet and television — about this administration.”
"I don’t want this to become routine, but again, John Brennan really did cross the line," Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., who chairs the Senate's Homeland Security Committee, said to "Fox News Sunday." "He's one of the leaders of the resistance movement. I understand why President Trump is pretty frustrated."
National security adviser John Bolton defended Trump Sunday to ABC News' "This Week," arguing Brennan had politicized intelligence.
But Leon Panetta, a former Democratic congressman turned Obama CIA director and defense secretary, denied Sunday that intelligence figures should be held to a higher standard when it comes to public commentary.
"I'm a believer in the broad interpretation of the right of free speech in this country. The president certainly exercises it, and I think all of us have a right to exercise that," he told CBS News on "Face the Nation."
What is clear is that past tensions between the White House and the intelligence community and the military are yet to heal.
"It's dangerously close to being permanently broken. It's badly injured right now," former National Security Agency and CIA Director Michael Hayden said to CNN Sunday, referring specifically to Trump's own intel community.
Iran is Testing Trump. It Won’t End Well for Them.
Iran is Testing Trump. It Won’t End Well for Them.
Having gone more than a year without test-firing any ballistic missiles, Tehran reportedly launched a Fateh-110 short-range missile in a 100-mile trajectory over the Strait of Hormuz. The launch, which is in defiance of international resolutions, can only be seen as a direct challenge to President Trump’s authority and the United States’ willingness to do something about the biggest problem in the Middle East.
Iran may wish they had left this particular rocket unlaunched.
From Fox News, who spoke to U.S. officials confirming the test:
For the first time in more than a year, Iran test-fired a ballistic missile in a brazen display of defiance months after President Trump pulled the United States out of a landmark nuclear deal and days before his administration slapped new sanctions on the Islamic Republic, three U.S. officials with knowledge of the launch tell Fox News.
The test of an Iranian Fateh-110 short-range ballistic missile coincided with a large-scale naval exercise by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard forces late last week involving over 50 small gunboats in the Strait of Hormuz to rehearse “swarm” tactics which could one day potentially shut down the vital waterway, through which 30 percent of the world’s oil passes each year.
While the U.S. military publicly acknowledged the naval activity, the missile test from an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps base in Bandar-e-Jask in southeastern Iran has not been previously reported. The launch was detected by U.S. spy satellites.
This test launch aside, Iran has been remarkably quiet when it comes to playing military footsie with the Trump regime. Even while engaged in negotiations with the gullible and feckless Obama administration, Tehran took delight in seizing U.S. Navy ships, launching ballistic missiles, and engaging in various other conflict-laden mischief just to prove they could get away with it.
They have notably toned it down since Donald Trump took office, and you don’t have to wonder why. Trump campaigned against the Iran deal from the moment he launched his bid for the presidency, and while he has been a fierce critic of needless foreign war, the Iranians know damn well he is not a man to be trifled with.
Our best guess says this latest missile launch was a show for the hardliners and a demonstration of strength for a citizenry that is growing extremely restless. But if the Iranians think they can draw Trump to the negotiating table with threats and saber-rattling, they may have another thing coming.
Like, say, a Patriot missile or two.
A friend from New Hampshire passed this on to us. What do you think of it? We forwarded it to friends.
HEY - Check this out! I Know it's been ticking you off , but you couldn't do a thing about it.......UNTIL NOW! TRUMP STRIKES AGAIN!!!!!!!
Even if you do not like the president I think you will like this
President Trump is against their GRAVY TRAIN!!!!!
That is why so many are congress people are retiring. They hope to keep their retirement as it stands now.
The Plan [Fat Chance??? We can only hope] ......
This makes way too much sense not to be passed on. But at least we can make our wishes known and hope. I'm with Trump on this one and always will be.
We need to ask everyone to forward this email to a minimum of 20 people, and to ask each of those to do likewise. In three days, most people in the United States will have the message. This is an idea that should be passed around, regardless of political party.
The TRUMP Rule's Congressional Reform Act of 2018
1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman / Woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office. And, no more perks go with them.
2. Congress (past, present, & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress must purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/Women are void.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/Women.
Congress made all these contracts with and for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators should serve their term(s), then go home and go back to work not get all kind of freebies.
[NO WONDER THEY'RE FIGHTING EVERYTHING HE TRIES!]
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people, then it will only take three days for most people in the U.S. to receive the message. It's time for us to take action now!
Makes sense to me!
Lois Lerner Case Explodes: IRS Docs Link McCain’s Office to Tea Party Attacks
Since announcing his brain cancer was terminal, Arizona Sen. John McCain has continued to make headlines, but not due to his medical status. Instead, it has been one controversy after another revolving around him, and now one more had been added to the list.
McCain has never really endeared himself to conservatives, and he made his feeling public about the tea party movement at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor in 2015, according to a Yahoo report.
“I think also — I probably shouldn’t say this — but some of (the tea party) appeals to the bad angels of our nature rather than the better angels of our nature,” McCain said.
One of a number of scandals that plagued President Barack Obama and his administration involved the IRS targeting tea party groups after 2010. It seemed that their tax-exempt status requests were denied or delayed due to intense political partisanship in the agency.
In May 2013, The Washington Post reported that the IRS’s exempt-organizations division director Lois Lerner “let slip” the week prior “that low-level IRS staffers had focused extra scrutiny on conservative groups with words such as ‘tea party’ or ‘patriot’ in their names.”
In addition, “internal reviews have shown that Lerner knew about the targeting in 2011 — but neither Congress nor the public knew until (2013).” Despite this, Lerner was never prosecuted and was allowed to retire with her taxpayer-funded pension intact.
This did not change, even after House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady, a Texas Republican, and Tax Policy Subcommittee Chairman Peter Roskam, an Illinois Republican, wrote a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions. In it, they begged him to reopen a probe into the matter, according to Jay Sekulow, chief council for the American Center for Law and Justice, writing in a commentary for Fox News.
When President Donald Trump was sworn into office, some held out hope that the perceived injustices from Obama’s tenure would somehow be made right. However, in September 2017, Trump’s administration had already preemptively declined to pursue criminal charges against Lerner “based on the available evidence,” according to Fox News.
But more has since been uncovered about the scandal. Government watchdog group Judicial Watch has obtained and released “internal IRS documents, including material revealing that Sen. John McCain’s former staff director and chief counsel on the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee, Henry Kerner, urged top IRS officials, including then-director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner, to “audit so many that it becomes financially ruinous.”
JW President @TomFitton: Much of what you know about the IRS scandal is thanks to JW... Our new docs show the scandal is bipartisan in nature. A McCain staffer suggested Lois Lerner audit all of the 501(c)(4) groups in a way that'd be financially ruinous.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SpC064kA8M …
5:01 PM - Aug 6, 2018
Meeting notes from April 30, 2013, involving Kerner, Lerner, “and other high-ranking IRS officials” were obtained by JW. With the meeting taking place only 10 days before the IRS scandal exploded into the public view, they are particularly incriminating against Kerner and Lerner:
“Henry Kerner asked how to get to the abuse of organizations claiming section 501 (c)(4) but designed to be primarily political. Lois Lerner said the system works, but not in real time.”
“Henry Kerner noted that these organizations don’t disclose donors. Lois Lerner said that if they don’t meet the requirements, we can come in and revoke, but it doesn’t happen timely.”
“Nan Marks said if the concern is that organizations engaging in this activity don’t disclose donors, then the system doesn’t work. Henry Kerner said that maybe the solution is to audit so many that it is financially ruinous. Nikole noted that we have budget constraints.”
“Elise Bean suggested using the list of organizations that made independent expenditures. Lois Lerner said that it is her job to oversee it all, not just political campaign activity.”
Thus far, there is no evidence that McCain knew about or directed Kerner to take such action. It is plausible that Kerner, knowing of McCain’s dislike of the tea party, opted to be a proactive and loyal staffer by urging the IRS to take action against the groups.
But McCain’s personality does little to keep him far removed from the scandal and tongues are wagging with speculation as to his involvement. Regardless, McCain’s frosty relationship with President Donald Trump has not made the Arizona senator many fans among Trump supporters.
New suspicions about him betraying the tea party won’t help matters at all.

Details of Ocasio-Cortez’s Ties To George Soros Revealed
The Daily Caller News Foundation
by Kyle Pirisic
New details have emerged revealing that George Soros helped prop-up democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s political career in an attempt to put 400 Bernie Sanders-like politicians in Congress.
A former organizer for Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s under-dog win in the democratic primary was undoubtedly helped by far-left organizations linked George Soros — specifically, online media which played a crucial role in her campaign.
Members linked to Soros-funded digital media asked Ocasio-Cortez to run for office which guaranteed she would get favorable coverage by a media network that reaches almost 300 million people monthly.
One member of the Soros-funded media, Cenk Uygur, also founded one of the two political groups responsible for asking Ocasio-Cortez to run, Justice Democrats — whose goal is to get Sanders-like politicians elected to Congress.
Uygur, a former Armenian genocide denier, was eventually forced out of the organization after old articles revealed some of his previous sexist comments, often referring to women in a derogatory way.
Incumbent Joseph Crowley — whose footprint in the Democratic establishment led to speculation that he would succeed Nancy Pelosi as Democratic leader of the House — greatly outspent Ocasio-Cortez.
However, her strong online presence — thanks to the coverage of the Soros-linked digital media — she was able to gain traction and defeat Crowley in the primary June 26. She is expected to win New York’s 14th congressional district handedly, given the district’s Democratic history.
After Ocasio-Cortez’s website, Ocasio2018.com, was first registered May 3, 2017, it redirected to Ocasio-Cortez’s now-deleted page on BrandNewCongress.Org, according to an Internet archive captured June 29, 2017.
Brand New Congress is another organization, just like Justice Democrats, that aims to get socialists elected to Congress in the 2018 mid-terms. It has close ties to Justice Democrats.
In a June 27 interview with Uygur on his YouTube channel “The Young Turks,” Ocasio-Cortez thanked Uygur and other media platforms for covering her before the primaries, which she says “in no small part” helped her win.
“I wouldn’t be running if it wasn’t for the support of Justice Democrats and Brand New Congress,” Ocasio-Cortez told Uygur. “In fact it was, it was JD (Justice Democrats) and it was Brand New Congress that asked me to run in the first place.”
The Young Turks is a member of The Media Consortium — a network of far left media publications which includes Mother Jones, Democracy Now!, and dozens of other outlets, funded by Soros.
The Media Consortium is a Soros a media empire that, according to Media Research Center (MRC), reaches nearly 300 million people a month.
“Soros funds nearly every major left-wing media source in the United States,” MRC stated. “Forty-five of those are financed through his support of the Media Consortium. That organization ‘is a network of the country’s leading, progressive, independent media outlets.’ The list is predictable – everything from Alternet to the Young Turks.”
The MRC report goes on to detail the progressive echo chamber Soros intentionally created with the Media Consortium with the intention of shaping public opinion. Helen and Moe Lauzier
