Warren’s Past Comes Back To Bite Her, Not Even Harvard Thought She Was Native American
BY BEN MARQUIS

There has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding Massachusetts Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s disputed and unproven claims of Native American heritage — claims of Cherokee and Delaware tribe heritage that stem from unverified family folklore handed down over generations.
Some of Warren’s critics have argued that she used her claim of Native American heritage to gain an advantage in her law professor career as a “minority,” meaning she gained coveted positions as a “minority” in liberal academia’s quest for “diversity” at the expense of actual minorities who would bring true diversity to law school faculties.
Others — like President Donald Trump — have merely ripped on Warren’s dubious claim by mockingly calling her “Pocahontas,” among other names, and have pointed out the hypocrisy of the left allowing a white woman like Warren to claim minority status at the expense of true minorities.
While there is little that can stop the latter from occurring, The Boston Globe endeavored to disprove the former — that Warren used her claimed Native American heritage to boost her career — in what can only be described as a full-court press defense on her behalf.
The rather lengthy report from The Globe noted that they had extensively reviewed hundreds of documents and conducted a similar number of interviews in relation to Warren’s release of her university personnel files… after six years of being asked about them.
The ultimate conclusion reached by The Globe was that Warren’s ethnicity appears to have not been a factor at all in the decision of Harvard Law School to hire Warren as a professor. Instead, it would seem that her gender as a woman played a much greater role in the hiring process.
Indeed, The Globe made contact with 31 of the Harvard law professors who had been involved with the 1993 discussions on whether to hire Warren, and all but one said that her heritage never even came up in the conversation. Even the one who said it did come up offered the caveat that it didn’t amount to anything other than a passing mention that held no weight on the overall decision.
The article reiterated Warren’s story of hearing about her family’s Native American heritage from her grandmother and aunts prior to their deaths, and pointed out how she started to claim that heritage on official forms beginning in the late 1980s.
However, in the review of the Harvard hiring process and her personnel records from other law schools she had taught at — like the University of Texas and University of Pennsylvania — Warren was almost always noted as a “white woman” when hired and then changed the records to reflect her claimed Native American heritage after she had begun working.
Incredibly, while The Globe may have shown that Warren herself may not have used her claimed heritage as minority to gain benefits, the schools that hired her very well may have. In fact, several of the schools proudly listed Warren as a minority in various official forms and publications — such as affirmative action forms or minority equity reports — in order to prove they had diverse faculties.
But in proudly posturing Warren as a diverse minority member of their faculties, to some extent or another, these schools may very well have denied actual qualified minorities an opportunity to gain a position that truly would have diversified their staff.
As for her being hired at Harvard, while her claimed Native American heritage may not have been a factor in the decision, her gender most certainly was as records show that Harvard was in the midst of a push to hire more female professors at that time, particularly one who would be in a tenured position.
“She was not on the radar screen at all in terms of a racial minority hire,” said Randall Kennedy, then a member of Harvard’s appointments committee who was in charge of recruiting minority candidates, to the Globe. “It was just not an issue. I can’t remember anybody ever mentioning her in this context.”
“It wouldn’t have even worked in the most diehard communities,” said David Wilkins, one of the only black law professors on Harvard’s staff who voted for hiring Warren, of the prospect of her heritage being a deciding factor in the decision. “Let’s be blunt. Elizabeth Warren is a white woman. She may have some Native American roots, but so do most people.”
In the end, critics can only wonder why Warren repeatedly had personnel records changed from “white” to “Native American” when it appears she didn’t directly benefit from that claimed minority status.
Regardless, while The Globe may have valiantly fended off critiques of Warren on that particular front with regard to her dubious heritage claims, the issue is far from being completely satisfied and will likely continue to dog Warren as she contemplates making a presidential run in 2020 — where Trump is ready and waiting for the opportunity to go full bore after “Pocahontas” for her hypocrisy and lies.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel won't seek re-election in 2019
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel speaks at a news conference accompanied by Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson, Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, in Chicago.
By Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced Tuesday he won’t see re-election next year, saying he’s ready to move on to other challenges.
“This has been the job of a lifetime, but it is not a job for a lifetime,” he said at a press conference, ending plans to seek a third term.
Mr. Emanuel had been an adviser to President Clinton, then a congressman from Illinois and then President Obama’s first chief of staff before leaving to run for the mayorship, first winning in 2011 and then winning re-election in 2015 in a race that had to go to a runoff.
Mr. Obama, whose political career also grew out of Chicago politics, praised his former staffer as “a tireless and brilliant public servant.”
Mr. Emanuel, with his wife Amy at his side, said he took pride in local advances such as longer school years and universal kindergarten and prekindergarten.
On the national stage, though, he will more likely be remembered for controversial decisions involving the city’s policing, and a crime wave that saw the murder rate surge in 2016.
Nike just gave patriotic Americans the middle finger with this new ad campaign
The NFL season kicks off in days.
Advertisers are already on thin ice with fans who have threatened to boycott the league over the national anthem protests.
And Nike just landed in hot water after releasing this new advertising campaign.
Nike released a new advertisement in honor of the 30th anniversary of their “Just Do It” campaign that has many fans fuming.
It features former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The ad says:
“Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”
Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything. #JustDoIt
It faced immediate backlash.
The hashtag #NikeBoycott began trending on Twitter shortly after the ad was unveiled.
Fans have pointed out that when Kaepernick began kneeling during the national anthem he was already relegated to the bench.
Unlike the men and women who have served our country, he has not sacrificed anything.
Kaepernick’s protests have only served to raise his profile.
And Kaepernick had secretly been on Nike’s payroll despite being out of the league for two years.
Nike spokesman Gino Fisanotti stated, “We believe Colin is one of the most inspirational athletes of this generation who has leveraged the power of sport to help move the world forward.”
Nike’s stock opened down 3% in early market trading.
More companies believe catering to the social justice warrior crowd will lead to higher profits.
One of the biggest examples is ESPN.
But that strategy has failed miserably. ESPN has had to layoff approximately 150 staffers over the past year due to declining ratings.
Ten-Year-Old German Boy Raped by Migrant Classmates on School Trip
Ten-Year-Old German Boy Raped by Migrant Classmates on School Trip
The attack occurred just before the start of the summer holidays at a school trip to Schloss Kröhlendorff, an isolated castle where the victim and 38 other students were supposed to engage in various outdoor activities.
The ten-year-old boy had previously been harassed by the three fellow students on the day of the attack, two aged 11 and another aged ten from Afghanistan and Syria, prior to the rape with one of them telling the German boy, “We fuck you today,” Berliner Zeitung reports.
That evening, two of the members of the group, an Afghan and a Syrian both aged 11, held the boy down while the ten-year-old Afghan sexually abused and raped him. Two other classmates witnessed the rape but none told teachers.
Less than a fortnight later that the victim of the rape confided in a school social worker about the incident and the information was then passed along to parents, teachers, and the police. The three asylum seeker children were suspended from the school and then ultimately expelled.
The school itself has also been the subject of various problems including widespread disrespect of teachers with students swearing and insulting them along with one in seven students skipping school regularly.
7th Grader: 'I am Marginalised Because I am German and Eat Pork'
Pupils in diverse German schools are claiming that they are threatened and beaten simply because they are German and not Muslim.

While investigators have not ordered an age test for the rapist, who they say is clearly underage, they did decide to put him through a psychological evaluation and state that he will no longer be allowed to attend regular schools.
The two others who held the German boy down during the incident have been placed in other schools. The victim has also refused to go back to the school following the rape attack.
Migrant rape attacks have been a major issue since the mass sexual assaults that occurred over New Year’s Eve 2015/16 in Cologne and elsewhere. Since then, Germany has seen a flurry of reports of migrant sex attacks at swimming pools, music festivals as well as random rape attacks on women out jogging or going on a night out.
Last year, the government in Bavaria revealed that migrant sex attacks had increased by a massive 91 percent while in Berlin, migrants make up to half of the total criminal suspects.

Historian Tony Judt reminds us in his wonderful new book, “Postwar: A History of Europe Since 1945,” that the division of Europe into east and west was historically not as important as other geographic polarities that predominated before World War II.
Now that the east-west differences are narrowing with the expansion of the European Union, these other divisions may be rising to the surface.
Judt writes: “In Europe before World War Two, the differences between North and South, rich and poor, urban and rural, counted for more than those between East and West.”
Now, with the growing economic hegemony of Germany triggering massive resentment in southern Europe, the north-south polarization may be replacing that of the east and west.
Southern Europe is increasingly held in economic stagnation by the Euro, a creation of Germany.
Because of the European currency, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece are unable to devalue their currencies since they have none.
They must now suffer with artificially cheapened German imports while their own exports to Germany are overpriced.
Historically, the north/south division now exacerbated by German domination has been the most salient feature of European politics.
Judt notes “the new states hatched at Versailles were fragile and somehow impermanent from the very start…
“The likeliest outcome — that of a renascent Germany would be the de facto heir to the old empires in the territories stretching from Stettin to Istanbul — was narrowly averted only by Hitler’s own errors.”
But, now, it may be back and we may have to readjust our perceptions of European politics to take full account of the emerging fault line between the north and south.
German refusal to stop accommodating Muslim immigrants is adding to the problem.
Needing a larger labor force, Germany sees no problem in letting in millions of Islamic and Islamist migrants.
But, seen from their portals of entry into Europe — Italy, Spain, and Greece — the price of the German policy is very steep.
In southern Europe, the wave of immigration from Muslim areas strains limited budgetary resources, depresses wages and threatens the national identity of the nations.
There is no Winston Churchill around these days to declaim an “iron curtain” between north and south, but one feels it is coming down anyway.

Ocasio-Cortez Sets New Records for Dumbest Comments
Ocasio-Cortez Sets New Records for Dumbest Comments
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the village idiot. Don’t let people make excuses for her. She has wedged her foot so far down her throat on so many occasions at this point that she might qualify as a modern medical miracle.
Some of her greatest statements include “the occupation of Palestine,” “unemployment is only low because everyone has two jobs,” and “let’s flip this seat red!”
To clarify, Palestine can’t be occupied because the leadership of the people have refused every deal that would grant them their own land for the last 70 years. You can’t occupy land that doesn’t exist.
We don’t even need to address the unemployment statement. As for flipping seats red, we’ll explain that on the chance she reads this. Democrats are blue. Republicans are read. Socialists are color blind, apparently.
It’s a lot of fun to ridicule the left’s newest and greatest thought leader. Maybe it’s low hanging fruit, but since they continue to put her on a pedestal, we feel obligated to take her down.
And, she makes the job easy. Her mouth is the proverbial golden goose. She’s already outclassed a number of her greatest, dumbest hits. Here’s a sample:
“I Got Elected”
The number of interviews where she makes this claim is outright staggering, and it proves that she doesn’t even have a basic grasp of the electoral process. That’s a bad sign for someone aspiring to be a U.S. Representative.
Now, for the common folk, the confusion is understandable. She did when the Democratic primary, and her district is one of the bluest in the country (actual blue, not Cortez-color-confused blue). Many see it as a foregone conclusion that she will be elected in November.
There are two points to address here. First, it’s not November. She literally has not yet been elected, and she genuinely seems to not understand that.
Second, it’s not a foregone conclusion that she’ll win. No, the Republican representative is not her biggest threat. Joe Crowley is. You see, Cortez defeated him in the primary because he basically didn’t show up to campaign. He overestimated his position like a certain other prominent Democrat (cough Hillary Clinton), and lost the nomination.
He’s trying to correct his mistake by running as an independent. He’s also actually campaigning now. And, he’s leading the polls. Cortez still might get elected, but she certainly hasn’t been yet.
“ICE is Sexually Assaulting Women”
In the literal sense, this might not be her worst comment ever. ICE is a large organization, and there’s at least a realistic chance that an ICE agent has assaulted a women at some point in time. That said, we couldn’t find an actual case or example to that point. We’re just assuming it’s a possibility, not that it happened.
The real problem with this comment is that it paints an entirely erroneous picture. Cortez wants to vilify ICE as the monsters who dare to deport criminals. They actually detain people who cross the border! What she either omits or doesn’t understand is that anyone detained by ICE is done so on the basis of criminal charges.
ICE is actually the U.S. front line against human trafficking. As such, it’s the single strongest organization we have that stops the sexual assault of women. She really is special, isn’t she?
“Americans Are Dying From Global Warming”
This has to be her best yet. Global warming alarmists have never been shy about fudging the truth. In reality, any measurable effects of human-induced climate change have so far been good for lifespans.
We’re not going to get into the murkiness of trying to pin climate change on humans, but any average temperature increases in the last half century have correlated with greater longevity in every society, better crop yields and less disease.
Moreover, there are exactly zero cases of any American dying from any cause directly tied to climate change. It’s not possible for her statement to be more incorrect.
The thing to keep in mind is that she very likely believes all three of these statements (and her many others). This is why the left loves her so much. She is the innocent face of blind faith in their cause. She’s the embodiment of what they hope and dream every American can become. She ignores facts, willingly makes a complete fool of herself on national television and blindly follows policy that is sure to bring us all to ruin.
As much as we like to tease her, her stupidity doesn’t make her cute. Patronizing acceptance of this rhetoric is dangerous. If she and others like her aren’t stopped, they will herald the destruction of America. They’ve literally stated it as their goal. Don’t ever forget that.

'Unbelievable': Dem Candidate Compares Abortion to a Tonsillectomy in Push for Taxpayer Funding
Mark Martin
The Democratic nominee for governor in Wisconsin compared having an abortion to having a tonsillectomy when he pushed for unlimited taxpayer funding of elective abortion under Medicaid.
The Weekly Standard wanted to know if Dr. Tony Evers was in favor of Medicaid funding of abortion.
He replied, "We need to have the Medicaid money be available for all people and restricting it because of a certain procedure, whether it's a tonsillectomy or any other procedure, seems to me a foolhardy thing to do."
The comment sparked evangelist Franklin Graham to weigh in.
"What does it say about our culture when it is acceptable to compare an abortion to a tonsillectomy? That's pretty unbelievable," Graham wrote on Facebook.
"An abortion is the killing of a child in the womb, intentionally ending a life," he continued. "Taxpayers paying for tonsil removal is not at all the same as paying for an abortion."
"Far too many people who want to be governors, legislators, professors, and teachers in this nation have fallen prey to a culture of death philosophy," Graham said. "They are denying the worth of millions of children made in the image of God."
Evers also told The Weekly Standard that the Democratic Party needs pro-life voters.
"We have a big tent here in Wisconsin. We have to in order to win elections," the candidate said. "And yes, pro-life Democrats are welcome in the party, and I respect their decisions on this issue."
Wisconsin is among a strong majority of states where Medicaid funding of elective abortions is banned, the Standard reports.
Evers, who is the state superintendent of public instruction, is running against the incumbent, Republican Gov. Scott Walker, in a close race.
Patriots’ Brady says his goal is still to play 5 more years
Patriots’ Brady says his goal is still to play 5 more years
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Tom Brady is making one thing clear as he prepares for his 19th NFL season: He doesn’t plan to stop playing football anytime soon.
In the epilogue of his seven-part Facebook Watch documentary series “Tom Vs. Time” released on Wednesday, the 41-year-old Patriots quarterback reiterated his desire to play at least five more years.
“I’d love to play 41, 42, 43, 44, 45,” Brady said. “It’ll be a challenge for me. I don’t think it’s going to be easy. It’s going to be hard to do. I think it’s going to be very hard to do. But I think I can do it. And once you stop, you’re done. And I think I’m not ready to say that I’m done, because I don’t feel like I am. I still feel like there’s things to accomplish. ... It was really hard to get to this point. Why not finish it off?”
New England opens its 2018 season Sunday against Houston.
Despite winning five Super Bowls and becoming the oldest player ever to win MVP honors last season at age 40, Brady said he thinks there’s another level he can reach.
“I think the last eight years of my career have been better than my first 10, so I should just prolong it, and that’s what I’m trying to do,” he said.
Since its debut in January, “Tom Vs. Time” has provided viewers a glimpse into several behind-the-scenes moments with Brady on the field since he turned 40, as well as rare looks at his private life off the field.
This final episode also explored what Brady said is a new approach to certain aspects of NFL life, which includes ignoring the opinions people have of him.
At one point he seemed to address the criticism he’s received in recent seasons about his relationship with his personal health coach and business partner Alex Guerrero. During training camp, Brady called it “ridiculous” to suggest the suspension of Patriots receiver Julian Edelman is tied to his work with Guerrero. Those same questions about Guerrero prompted Brady to abruptly end his first media availability of camp.
“(The media wants) to talk about a lot of drama,” Brady said during the epilogue. “I’m sure a lot of teams have things like that. But ours is just to the tenth degree. I’m learning to do deal with it better.”
Brady also hinted at the rumored discord between him and coach Bill Belichick, which both have previously downplayed.
“I think anytime you’re together with people for a long period of time, relationships ebb and flow,” Brady said. “I think people are just looking for something to write and talk about. I just don’t give a (expletive) anymore that much about anything. ... Nothing’s that big a deal to me anymore. Or maybe I’m just caring more about things that really matter — like my family, like people’s health, like life and death.
“But to worry about a lot of (expletive) of what people may say or think or feel — I really don’t care anymore.”
