Schiff Digs in With Trump Collusion Claims, Gives Him Nickname

Anti-Trump Representative Adam Schiff is continuing to push Trump collusion claims in the face of contrary evidence. Now, he has a nickname for President Trump, "unpatriotic."

According to Fox News:

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., is doubling down again on his condemnation of President Trump, claiming for the second time in a week there is evidence of collusion with the Russians.

Schiff's comments come in light of Attorney General William Barr's four-page summary of Robert Mueller's investigation, which Barr wrote found no evidence beyond reasonable doubt that President Trump colluded with Russia to swing the 2016 presidential election.

The House Intel Committee chair has continued to hammer home his belief that, despite the fact that there are not any further indictments at this time, President Trump committed acts that were "deeply unpatriotic, unethical and corrupt."

“There is plenty of evidence of collusion and corrupt co-mingling of work between the Trump campaign and the Russians,” Schiff said during an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Wednesday. “But I fully accept that as a prosecutor that he couldn’t prove beyond a reasonable doubt that crime.”

Schiff said he accepts Mueller's findings, but those findings do not exonerate Trump, and apparently, this means Schiff will keep investigating.

In 732 A.D., the Muslim Army, which was moving on Paris, was Defeated and turned back at Tours, France, by Charles Martell.

In 1571 A.D., the Muslim Army/Navy was defeated by the Italians and Austrians as they tried to cross the Mediterranean to Attack Southern Europe in the Battle of Lepanto.

In 1683 A.D.,the Turkish Muslim Army, attacking Eastern Europe, was finally Defeated in the Battle of Vienna by German and Polish Christian Armies.

This Nonsense has been going on for 1,400 years! The SAD thing is that more than half of all Politicians do not even know any of this. If these Battles had not been Won, we would most likely be speaking Arabic. And Christianity could be Non-existent. Judaism certainly would NOT exist!

A lot of Americans have become so Insulated from reality that they imagine America can Suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves.

1. In 1968, Robert Kennedy was shot and killed by a Muslim.

2. In 1972, at the Munich Olympics, Israeli Athletes were Kidnapped and Massacred by Muslims.

3. In 1972, a Pan Am 747 was Hijacked and eventually Diverted to Cairo where a Fuse was lit on Final Approach. Shortly after Landing, it was Blown up by Muslims.

4. In 1973, a Pan Am 707 was Destroyed in Rome With 33 People Killed, when it was Attacked with Grenades by Muslims.

5. In 1979, the United States Embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslims.

6. During the 1980’s, a number of Americans were Kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslims.

7. In 1983, the United States Marine Barracks in Beirut was Blown up by Muslims.

8. In 1985, the Cruise Ship Achille-Lauro was hijacked, and a 70-year-old Jewish American Passenger was Murdered and thrown Overboard in his Wheelchair by Muslims.

NO, I really do not see a pattern here to Justify Profiling. Do YOU?

So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone - particularly Muslim fanatics intent on killing US - Airport Security Screeners will NO longer be allowed to Profile certain People.

One News Host Dominating The Competition

In the world of prime time news there is now a host that undisputedly stands above the rest. With over 1,000,000 more viewers than the closest competition, that honor goes to Fox News Host Tucker Carlson.

In the last week Carlson has had a total of 3,475,000 viewers, for comparison CNN’s COMPLETE prime time lineup was only able to garner 2,474,000 viewers.

Here is a breakdown of the numbers:

• FOX News Tucker Carlson: 3,475,000 total viewers; 625,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demographic
• CNN Cooper: 810,000 total viewers; 203,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demographic
• CNN Cuomo: 875,000 total viewers; 217,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demographic
• CNN Lemon: 789,000 total viewers; 228,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demographic

It could be said that these figures are the result of CNN and other similar networks focusing the majority of their content on conspiracy theories about President Trump and Russia. Now that the Mueller report has taken the wind out of that particular sail these network are left struggling to remember what is actually news.

In any event a round of applause is owed to Mr. Carlson, may he continue to keep the American people well informed.

Dick Morris: Political Technology Is Unraveling – The Limits of Targeting

In modern politics, the overwhelming emphasis in campaigns is on targeting voters through data mining. The revolution, begun by Cambridge Analytica and a network of firms that came to advise the Trump campaign, has proceeded to the point where targeting is seen as more important than messaging.

Find out who the voter is, the theory goes, and then, instead of broadcasting your message to the world, “narrowcast” your message, aiming it with precision at each individual voter. (Google assures us that the word “narrowcasting” was coined by computer scientist and public broadcasting advocate J. C. R. Licklider in 1967. But it entered political usage through the work of media guru Tony Schwartz).

Targeting uses millions of publicly — and legally — available bits of data about each of us that catalogs our consumer preferences, habits, priorities and lifestyle choices — what car we drive, where we live, our pets, what food we eat, what films we see, what we watch on television, etc.

The data firms then conduct conventional political survey research, with very large sample sizes, to see how each of these non-political consumer preferences correlates with their political behavior. Do Toyota Hybrid owners tend to be liberal? Are dog owners conservative? And how about aficionados of the TV show “Law and Order”?

By overlaying the political data onto the consumer data, the campaigns can target swing voters and understand the messages that will work.

Modern campaigns spend huge amounts of time and money on targeting, so much so that they often forget to do the rest of the job and do not develop messages to reach their carefully selected targets.

They spend so much time and money building the missile that they forget about making the warhead.

Typically, after analyzing massive amounts of data, they will find that a given voter is focused on the economy and jobs. But, having done that, they aim a “jobs” ad at him, the same ad they use on millions of others. There is no customization of the ads to take account of the massive differences in personality and background their research has unearthed. If you’re type A or type B or male or female, or unmarried with kids, you get the same jobs ad. Just like olden times.

Modern campaign operatives are so immersed in the data that they have not given adequate thought to how to persuade the voters they target.

As a result, persuasion has slipped far below motivation in the hierarchy of campaign goals. Get your vote out and don’t worry as much about persuading the swing voter.

This shift in strategy underscores how rapidly our politics has become a turnout duel between two static blocks of voters entrenched in their own ideology. As in World War I, the trench warfare has eclipsed a war of movement where persuasion is possible and voter groups can be lured across party lines.

The technology has reinforced the static, fixed battlefield of today’s politics. It assumes that turnout is the key and that the goal of targeting is to find the voter who agrees with you but needs to be motivated to go on Election Day.

But these assumptions are likely becoming obsolete as you read this column. How many millions of Americans were turned off Trump in 2016 or fixated on the collusion narrative who are now up for grabs? As Trump’s accomplishments mount and his economic policies are obviously working, the collusion charges are disproven, and the Democratic field moves massively left, these voters are now becoming highly persuadable. The ice is breaking. It’s time that our consultants change their priorities and adjust to the new landscape.

Put away your metrics and data points and figure out how to persuade people, in English (or Spanish) to vote for the Republicans. Speak language, not just data.

Treat the voters as intelligent people who can be persuaded by arguments and information, not just as automatons who need to be dragged out to vote





Democrats Court Al Sharpton; Ignore Past of Racism, Anti Semitism, Incitement

Democratic presidential candidates are descending on New York City to court Al Sharpton at his National Action Network (NAN) convention this week, ignoring Sharpton’s long history of racism, anti semitism, and incitement.

All of the major declared candidates for the 2020 Democratic nomination — and some potential candidates — are attending Sharpton’s conference, a remarkable fact at a time when many are also voicing concerns about extremism.

According to CBS News:

Presidential candidates speaking at the National Action Network convention on Wednesday include former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, businessman Andrew Yang and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro.

Stacey Abrams, who narrowly lost the gubernatorial race in Georgia last year and is currently mulling a presidential bid, is also speaking Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, Rep. John Delaney and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg are speaking at the convention.

Friday will see the greatest concentration of 2020 candidates speaking at the event: Gov. John Hickenlooper and Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Amy Klobuchar, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris and Cory Booker will be making remarks. Potential presidential contender Rep. Eric Swalwell will also be speaking on Friday.

The candidates are using the event to pander to black voters, as O’Rourke did in endorsing reparations.

But Sharpton is so radical that then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) did not want his endorsement when he ran in 2008. But when black activists began criticizing President Obama from the left, Obama turned to Sharpton for help.

Rehabilitated by Obama and the left-wing media, Sharpton reinvented himself as a political kingmaker in the Democratic Party.

But the candidates vying for Sharpton’s support must overlook a controversial record, as Breitbart News has noted:

In another riot in 1995, Sharpton led protests against Freddy’s Fashion Mart, a Jewish-owned store in Harlem, after it was forced to raise the rent on a sub-tenant, a black-owned record store. (Sharpton called the owner a “white interloper.”) One of the protesters later shot four employees and set the store on fire, bringing the death total to seven.

As of 2008, Sharpton’s NAN had massive debts and owed $2 million in taxes, which it claimed to be paying off. In 2014, the New York Times reported that Sharpton had “more than $4.5 million in current state and federal tax liens against him and his for-profit businesses,” which he denied. And in 2009, Sharpton and NAN agreed to pay $285,000 in civil penalties after the Federal Election Commission found that NAN had made improper contributions to his 2004 presidential campaign, when he ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic Party nomination

In 2012, Sharpton and NAN played a key role in inflaming national division and outrage over the death of Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed during a scuffle with neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida. Sharpton promoted false reports that Zimmerman used what Sharpton called “racial language” in speaking with police. He used his prime-time program on MSNBC to promote the story, including the claim that Zimmerman — whose mother is Peruvian — was “white,” implying racial bias in the killing.

Despite that record, Sharpton has been rehabilitated by the left and the mainstream media. He hosted Saturday Night Live in 2003. He spoke to the Democratic National Convention in 2004 (breaking with his prepared text to aim a racially-tinged attack at President George W. Bush). He was hired as a host by MSNBC in 2011.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, who is apparently not speaking at the convention, spoketo NAN in January.

FEC Complaint: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Ran ‘Subsidy Scheme’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her campaign manager ran a “subsidy scheme” that violated campaign laws, according to a Federal Election Commission (FEC) complaint.

The complaint, which was obtained by Fox News on Tuesday, alleges that Ocasio-Cortez and her campaign manager, Saikat Chakrabarti, ran a dark web of political action committees (PACs) that enabled them to raise money beyond the legal limits set in place by federal campaign finance laws.

The FEC complaint also alleged that Ocasio-Cortez and Chakrabarti created a limited liability company (LLC) to go around federal expenditure requirements, offering political consulting services to Ocasio-Cortez and other Democratic candidates at extremely low prices.

Chakrabarti’s group, Brand New Congress LLC, took on Ocasio-Cortez as a client and charged those clients “far below market value” while using PAC money to subsidize the company’s losses, according to the complaint.

Dan Backer, a conservative attorney, filed the FEC complaint alleging that Ocasio-Cortez and Chakrabarti violated a group of FEC Advisory Opinions in place since the 1990s which state that campaigns have to pay full price for political consulting services or accept them as contributions.

This is not the first FEC complaint filed against Ocasio-Cortez recently. The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) filed an FEC complaint against Chakrabarti for allegedly using two different PACs to funnel $1 million to two private companies he owned to hide campaign finance expenditures.





Three Democrats and their Financial Fumbles

AOC and Beto may be the new pups in the Democrat party, but they are learning tricks from that old dog Bernie. Questionable use of their positions for personal gain while protesting against the wealthy, unscrupulous oppressors tie these three democrats together.

Sitting on Buried Cash

An FCC complaint filed yesterday by National Legal Policy Center’s  Dan Backer alleges AOC and her campaign manager, Saikat Chakrabarti, operated a “subsidy scheme” that ran contrary to campaign finance laws. They formed multiple political action committees (PACs), allowing them to raise cash above what they could have legally raised. It also alleges that a limited liability company (LLC) was created to avoid federal expenditure requirements. The LLC offered AOC and other Democrat candidates political consulting services below market rates.

The millennial darling duo is accused of creating an enterprise funded by others, to overly benefit her campaign? Possibly violating the regulations required of everyone else? Wow, I guess she is a Socialist!

Then again, in her own words from Austin’s SXSW stage, she ought to make sure the stones don’t hit her own glass house.

Capitalism, to me, is an ideology of capital. The most important thing is the concentration of capital, and it means that we seek and prioritize profit and the accumulation of money above all else, and we seek it at any human and environmental cost… But when we talk about ideas for example like democratic socialism, it means putting democracy and society first, instead of capital first.”

Excuse me?! A self described Socialist who makes public proclamations about how Capitalism is bad for the average American, stands accused of campaign finance violations. Despite claims of being a different candidate, and wanting to build a better future, she looks like politicians before her.

On her way to a House Financial Services Committee meeting when asked by Fox News to comment, she stated: “I mean, it’s conservative interest groups just filing bogus proposals.”

This sounds a lot like Hillary’s 1990’s “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy” mantra.

Unfortunately for AOC, this is the second filing that questions her team’s  “unorthodox” approach to campaign finance vehicles. As reported by Fox News last month’s NLPC FEC complaint alleges

that [campaign manager] Chakrabarti established two PACs, the Brand New Congress PAC and Justice Democrats PAC, and then systematically transferred more than $885,000 in contributions received by those PACs to the Brand New Campaign LLC and the Brand New Congress LLC — companies that, unlike PACs, are exempt from reporting all of their significant expenditures. The PACs claimed the payments were for “strategic consulting.”

Although similar phrasing is used in both complaints, there are two on file awaiting a reply from the FEC. Unfortunately the commission, normally staffed by 6, is short staffed by two people. It may be months before the committee votes to continue the process. Meanwhile, Backer said he expected the gridlock at the FEC and planned to sue if his complaints sit for 120 days and litigation is allowed under law.

Only time will tell how well AOC’s backhanded smack down of “dark money” and unchecked political power ages.

“Beto for Texas”…More Like Beto for Beto

It’s not unusual for politicians to pay for services provided by friends or family. Even from businesses they own. They are required to pay what is considered fair market value, not overpay or (like the accusation against AOC) underpay. However, when running a campaign as a “better candidate”, who was “born for this” the optics are really important. When the candidate pays a company owned by his immediate family over $110,000 in campaign funds for web development and social media management, it looks bad.

According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation “Beto for Texas” paid Stanton Street Technology Group $58,544 during the 2011-12 election cycle, $39,060 during the 2013-14 cycle, $9,290 in the 2015-16 cycle and $32,778 during the 2017-18 cycle. Beto’s wife, Amy, took over Stanton Street from the Texas Democrat when he entered Congress in January 2013. She controlled it until early 2017. She sold her stake in the company on March 31, 2017, according to Beto O’Rourke’s 2017 year-end financial disclosure report. He listed the sale value in the $100,001 to $1 million range.

Not a bad profit. Somewhere between $100,000 and $1,000,000. Notwithstanding the $100,000 from Beto for Texas.

The company remains in business, and understandably has a nice web design. So professional that I was surprised they didn’t list any work for Beto’s campaign. Go figure.

Unfortunately for Beto the campaign expenses to his business are not the only questions from his past. According to The Daily Caller,

He faced scrutiny in 2013 after purchasing Twitter stock before it was available to the general public, which ethics watchdogs said was a violation of House rules.

Beto faced backlash from local El Paso residents after supporting a development project that converted housing for low-income residents into a retail destination — an endeavor proposed by his wealthy father-in-law.”

Why are these young Democrats following the lead from their senior counterparts? Especially when they are trying to highlight how they are different from the old dogs.

Feeling the Bern

The acceptance we have for politicians with low ethics is pathetic. When a politician comes along who has previously been considered above the corruption, even the most hardened opposition voter has reason to celebrate. Unfortunately, those promises are seldom realized.

Bernie Sanders came hard and fast onto the Presidential stage. Despite his long career in congress, he was always considered a bumbling afterthought in the Democrat party. He was on the edge of where the party had been in the past. Somewhere the center shifted and the presumptive nominee found herself in the fight of her career for a nomination she assumed was an easy win. His bumbling style was charming to the youthful voter. His steadfast loyalty to the Socialist mantra was appealing to a generation growing up during the recession. He was by all appearances someone who actually lived what he preached. A stark contrast to Hillary, who found truth a relative concept.

Then it happened. He campaigned on an anti-corruption platform, decrying public officials’ attempts to use their positions for personal financial gain.

The scrutiny of bumbling Bernie showed that even the most unassuming of Socialists was susceptible to family enrichment.

According to Jane O’Meara Sanders, the senator’s wife, Sanders’ House campaigns paid her more than $90,000 for consulting and ad placement services from 2002 to 2004. She pocketed about $30,000 of that money.”

Even his step-daughter found financial gain during his campaigns

Her daughter Carina Driscoll, Sanders’ stepdaughter, also drew a salary from the campaign. She was paid more than $65,000 between 2000 and 2004.”

Lest we forget how family is enriched by political connections, it was Jane’s daughter who ran the Vermont Woodworking School. Burlington College, overseen by Jane Sanders  eventually paid Carina’s school more than $500,000 for classes at its Fairfax, Vt., campus. Ultimately, Jane Sanders would leave her position as College President under a cloud of financial failure. The Burlington College would later close.

The Incessant Yapping

AOC and her ilk are demanding the release of Trump’s taxes. Meanwhile, they seem to have overlooked that the old dog Bernie never submitted the required financial disclosure forms for the 2016 Presidential campaign. He filed for multiple extensions, seeing him through the Democratic primary. He lost to Hillary, and never disclosed his financial position. The filing required by congress is a huge range and gives no accurate picture of financial worth.

With the potential of becoming the 2020 Democrat nominee Sanders will have to provide the financial information required to run for President. His 3 houses, and annual earnings place him in the top 1% of all Americans, and even higher amongst Socialists. It will be awesome watching the avowed Socialist and anti-corruption activist explain his increased wealth. The true believers do not care. The rest of us will enjoy watching the old dog squirm.

America has no shortage of politicians who are very happy to reap financial gain from their positions. The difference here is that these three are building careers on their virtue and ability to rise above the financial fray. If the investigation into AOC continues, and the media does its job of looking beyond Beto’s charm, they may find that the new pups are more like the old dog than they care to admit.

Pope Francis-Take Care of Your Own House!

Once upon a time, yours truly was a Catholic school girl in New Jersey. Go right ahead and let the stereotypes fly because yes, I grew up in a very Italian Catholic family. There were pictures of the Pope. My aunt used to visit with all of the saints every Sunday after Mass. I would go to Mass every day during Lent before school started. That was, until I started questioning the theology behind things. And, until I started questioning the Pope.

I never quite understood how he had the direct line to God while the rest of us 12 year-old kids had to confess to a priest in a booth that we dropped several f-bombs that month before Holy Communion. I, one day, told Father Peter that from there on out, I would take my potty mouth to God and ended up reprimanded for my eyeliner and on detention whilst loudly reciting the Rosary for all ears to hear.

A bit scarred from my experience as a Catholic, I have a lot of good friends who still remain dedicated to the Catholic Church. Sadly, though, (I may get struck down by thunder), I have always found The Pope to be an out-of-touch-with-reality figurehead. Take the latest from Pope Francis for example.

Pope Francis made some comments to reporters while flying to Rome after a visit to Morocco a few days ago, and when asked about the efforts of several nations, including the US and Spain, to build walls and fences to keep out migrants, Francis made this remark:

Those who build walls will become prisoners of the walls they put up. This is history.”-Pope FrancisThis wasn’t the first time Pope Francis took a swipe at the border wall controversy:

Spoken from a private jet no less.

So, being that there are walls around Vatican City, is Francis a prisoner? Do we need to bust down the walls to break him out? Or should we build a bridge for all to enter during all hours of the day? No armed guards necessary.

If a globalization tries to make everybody even, as if it were a sphere, that globalization destroys the richness and the specificities of each person and each people. If a globalization tries to unite everyone, but does so respecting each individual, each person, each richness, each specificity, respecting each people, that globalization is good and it enables us to keep growing and take us to peace.

Just a few little problems here. The Pope lives in a sheltered bubble. We are not all “even”, nor will we ever be. We are not united nor will we ever be. Globalization is an ideology that leaves one group acquiescing to conform to another. Very seldom will all parties agree amicably if they are all to be mixed in as the same group. There will be disrespect, fighting and differences of beliefs and opinions. Will some have civilized discourse? Sure. But not all will behave this way. And the Pope telling people to “be kind, be generous and be civil” from behind his bullet-proof glass is not going to improve matters. Actually, it’s laughable. And really, we’d like not to laugh at the Pope…but for crying out loud…could GOD hand him a clue from the Clue Phone?!

This is not meant to anger, offend or point the finger at Catholics. Remember, I am a recovering one. The same could be said for all religions whose leaders embrace the “do as I say, not as I do” doctrine. Pastors at big, Christian megachurches do the same thing by encouraging attendees to be giving and loving from a stage tricked out with state-of-the-art sound equipment whilst congregants suffer and these leaders happily go back to their gated communities. Same old, same old.

And none, I repeat, NONE of it is of God.

If Pope Francis wants to take care of “the world” and make it a better place, how’s about taking care of his OWN house? You know, the one in which 13 year-old choir boys have been molested? Yeah, THAT one. He could start there and maybe move on to a worldwide initiative to rid all nations of pedophilia. That could be a start to something good instead of him standing on his pedestal and virtue-signaling about how much better we would be as a global community. Strangely enough, on this matter, Pope Francis is mum.
